Bajan's POV-

As we made our way carefully down the mountain, I began to feel myself starting to become sad again. But I didn't cry. I had cried myself out already. Just in the last hour I had cried more than I have in the past nine years of my life. Yeah, I am not a "true man". I don't cry over many things. Seeing my best friend's body laying dead in the snow caused many emotions to erupt inside of me. I almost cried as much as Adam did. Same with Jerome. I mean, we didn't have that close emotional bond that came between siblings, but she was mine and Jerome's best lady friend. We had been with her through thick and thin, and ever since we were children we have been close.

Jerome glanced over to me, the happy glint in his dark eyes having been dimmed from sadness. "Biggums, you OK?" Jerome asked, putting a hand on my shoulder.

I shook my head quickly. "Of course not, biggums. Sierra was our best friend and had been since we were just young Baccas and Benjs. Now... she's just gone. Game over. She was just... just ripped from our grasp and now... she will never be back. It's not like the Hunger Games where when we die we get teleported to a spectators lobby. No more chances. She... she will never get to truly love someone, never get to have a family of her own, never get to finish her life out with a bang," I then said, being overcome with sadness.

The Bacca quickly turned to me, and then he said, "I know. But... we cannot do anything about it. We were too late to save her, and now, we have to pay the consequences by never getting to see her again. We will never get to hug her again, never get to spend time with her, and we will never get to tell her how we truly feel about her. But what we can do is remember her always and finish this journey for her. Let's make it so that if she is watching us from up in the Aether, that she can truthfully say, 'They have honored my death and they make me proud'."

Smiling slightly, I then nodded. "You're right, Jerome. We should do our best to honor the name Sierra Fisher and not let her name go unknown in the history books," I said, feeling my spirits being lifted slightly. Jerome smiled back, and then he gave me a quick side-hug.

We turned to continue going down the mountain, but right then, we heard someone yell, "Wait!"

Turning around, we then squinted our eyes to see a blurry figure further up the hill behind us that was blurred because of the fog that surrounded us. "What the Nether?" I asked, trying to get a better view of the person behind me. I knew that we had gotten everyone out of the crater and Jerome and I were the last ones of the group to go besides Sky. The only person we left was Sierra, but she couldn't be alive... she was dead.

Everyone else stopped walking, and turned around to see what the commotion was. Sky pushed past me and Jerome, pausing just beside us. "What's going on? Who are you?" Sky then asked, looking towards the stranger as it got closer to us. Finally, as it got slightly closer, I saw that the being was not alone. It was carrying something else, probably something around its own size. I became confused. What in the world was that thing?

Right then, the being came into view, and with the revealing of the being came shock from all of my friends. From the fog stepped out a girl who was probably only a year older than Jen was. I soon recognized her as the girl Ray that Sky saw earlier (as he told me and the others of that experience), but she looked different this time than what Sky told me. Instead of what she wore last time, she wore a long-sleeved white, open chest sweater with gray trims, a black tank top, vintage blue short shorts, and she had on a pair of gray sneakers. In her arms... she carried the body of Sky's sister, Sierra. But she appeared different... as if her skin was glowing with the color of life instead of being pale white.

"Oh, my Notch, Sierra," Sky then cried out, running forward with shock plastered to his face. Jerome and I were right behind him, and we quickly surrounded Ray, who was smiling slightly towards us. She didn't say a word, she just carefully passed Sierra's body over to Adam. Sky quickly adjusted his sister in his arms, and then he brushed her hair out of her face. "Si?" He asked quietly, not believing that she was there. I couldn't believe it either. But what confused me the most was how we went up the only path up the Block Mountains, and yet I know for a fact that she had not been with us. However, I didn't question it. I was more worried about Sierra right then instead of Ray.

At first, Sierra stayed completely silent, not even breathing. But, right then, she took in a deep breath, opening her eyes suddenly. Her chest began to fall and rise quickly, as if she was having a panic attack.

Sky's eyes welled up behind his sunglasses, and he ducked his head towards Sierra in a hugging way. "Oh, my Notch, Sierra. We all saw that you had died, but I guess we were wrong!" Sky sobbed, tears of happiness streaming down his face. Jerome and I were crying as well, even though we were basically cried out. We were just so happy that our best friend was alive and not dead.

Sierra looked confused. "Dead? Really? The last I remember is the yeti crushing my body, and then I cried out to you..." She then said, her voice cracking slightly from the cold. Immediately after that, she cried out in pain, grasping on to her right arm in pain.

"What's happening to her? Is she snow poisoned?" I asked, extremely alarmed.

Ray looked troubled. "I guess that when she got picked up by the yeti and got crushed and frozen, she broke a few bones in the process." Right then, she realized what I had said, and she stared towards me like I was an idiot. "Really? Snow poisoned?" I just shrugged, not really knowing what I said myself. Ray shook her head, and then she walked closer to Sky and Sierra. Ray quickly examined the rest of her body. "From my inspections she has a broken arm, a broken leg, and she broke her pelvic bone."

From behind me, I heard Bashur and Brotato start chuckling to themselves. "She said pelvic," Brotato said, breaking out in a fit of laughter right afterwards.

Ray shot them a quick and deadly look, which got the two idiots to shut up right away. She shook her head, and then she finished saying, "If we get potions of healing into her, she should be ready to walk on her own again by mid-day tomorrow. But until then, she will have to be carried."

Jerome stepped forward right then. "I can carry her, Sky. You have to lead us, not be preoccupied by caring for Sierra. If anything, Mitch and I can switch between carrying her when one of us gets tired," The Fluffy said, holding his arms out towards the two of them.

Sky rose his eyebrow in question, and then he asked, "Are you sure?"

He nodded. "Yeah, I'm sure. Besides, I'm one of her best friends. It's not like it's going to be awkward between us because I am carrying her." Sky seemed a little unwilling to pass over his sister, but he finally did it, and he carefully passed his sister over to Jerome. Sierra winced a couple times in pain, but soon she was being comfortably held in the Bacca's arms.

"OK, then. When we get down the mountain we will stop to rest for a minute, and then we can administer the potions of healing to you, Sierra," Sky then said, looking towards his sister. Sierra nodded quickly, and Sky smiled gently towards her. Then, he brought his forehead to his sister's which I knew was a loving gesture of his. "I'm glad that you are alive, Sierra. I... I don't know what I would have done with myself without having you here to keep me in check. I love you, sis."

Sierra smiled quickly, and then she said softly, "I love you too, bro." Sky pushed himself away, and then he shot Jerome a warning look that said 'If-you-dare-hurt-my-little-sister-I-will-personally-neuter-you'. After that, he turned and he continued to lead our group of friends down the mountain.

"What was that look?" I asked Jerome as I walked up to him. He seemed like he wasn't struggling at all holding Sierra, but that didn't shock me one bit. He always wore iron armor and carried around a diamond axe. He, like the rest of the guys in our group of friends, were ripped because of having to carry the heavy armor all the time.

Jerome shrugged, adjusting quickly to having Sierra lean her head against his chest and close her eyes. "I guess he thinks that I am going to trip or something and hurt Sierra. Like I am going to try and kill my best friend after she just died once." Jerome gave out a quick laugh, and then he continued to trek down the mountain.

I sighed, shaking my head quickly. Jerome really was strange sometimes. Right then, I heard someone walk up next to me. Looking over to my left, I then saw that the person that had walked up to me was Ray. She had pulled her hood up, and she looked over to me quickly, the snow surrounding us making her brown eyes reflect brightly. "So, I'm guessing that that is your best friend?" Ray then asked, gesturing with her head forward to Jerome. I looked forward, and saw that Jerome was climbing the side of the hill, although that was not a good idea. Husky was looking up towards Jerome, shaking his head in annoyance. Right after that, Jerome slipped, and he quickly fell down the hill, although he clung tightly to Sierra. Husky looked away for one second, and then when he looked back, he screamed in terror at the Bacca-ball rolling towards him. They all fell in the middle of the path, Jerome having landed on top of Husky. I couldn't hear what Husky was screaming, but Jerome got up quickly, making sure that Sierra was alright before even checking if the fish was OK. I face-palmed myself. That was Jerome for you.

"Sometimes I wish he were not, but I cannot control it, he is my best friend. You... just caught him at the wrong time when he is being an idiot," I said, chuckling nervously while rubbing the back of my neck.

"Are you sure? I have watched you guys for a while now, and every single time that I am watching him, he is acting like that," Ray said, laughing after that.

I looked over to her. "You have been watching us? That's not creepy at all."

Ray rolled her eyes. "I'm supposed to watch you, you just don't know it. I am supposed to be to the side so that if something bad happens that is not supposed happen happens, I can reverse it. Like Sierra's death."

"That wasn't supposed to happen?"

She shook her head. "No, she was supposed to get the hypothermia, and she was supposed to be close to death, but the yeti messed everything up. The yeti outsmarted my boss, and he learned what would be precious to Sky and he destroyed it. The yeti wasn't supposed to talk at all, but for some reason, he learned how to talk. It seems to be the work of Br-" She cut off right there, and she shook her head. "Just forget what I was saying."

I fell silent, but I thought about what she said. She knew that Sierra had died, but that wasn't the way that she was supposed to die? How is Sierra supposed to die then? And does she know how all of us are going to die? How did she come by this information? And what did she mean by "I am supposed to be to the side so that if something bad happens that is not supposed to happen happens, I can reverse it'? I had a lot of questions for this mysterious girl.

"Ray... who is your boss?" I asked her, looking over to her quickly.

She appeared to become really mad right then. "Wow, aren't you just full of questions? I should have listened to the boss and keep out of sight as much as I could instead of coming along with you idiots," She cried out, throwing her arms into the air.

Putting my hands in the air defensively, I then said, "If you can't handle the Duke, you can't handle the Power Moves."

Ray growled in her throat, and then she marched forward, mumbling something under her breath. I just chuckled, shaking my head. For some reason I just always found it funny when girls got mad. I didn't try to make them mad, but it always happened anyways.

We quickly made our way down the mountain without many problems, as the blizzard soon subsided once we got down most of the way on the path. It was finally as we got to the forest that surrounded the base of the Blocky Mountains when the icicle on Bashur's tongue finally melted off. He was extremely happy, although we found it extremely unlucky. We were actually getting used to him not talking. It actually sounded peaceful without him jabbering on all the time.

When we stopped to make camp for the night, Sky and AntVenom called me and Jerome into one of the tents, and we quickly went into there without question. As we entered the tent, I saw that Jen and Seto were in there as well, and in the middle of the room there was a giant cot that was made as a temporary table. "Jerome, just set Sierra carefully on the table, and then we have to talk to you two afterwards," Ant then said, gesturing quickly to the cot in the middle of the tent. Jerome nodded, and then very carefully he laid her down on the cot, trying not to hurt her that much. Once Sierra was securely on the table, Ant nodded towards Seto and Jen, and then the two of them began to work on cleaning up the dry blood on her body and administering the healing potions to her so that her broken bones could heal.

Sky then turned towards me and Jerome. He looked worried, but I could not really tell. "Jerome, Mitch, I need to speak to you about some... certain matters." Jerome and I looked at each other, wondering what in the world he was going to blame us for this time.

"Whatever it was, we promise it wasn't us," I then said, which then caused Sky to laugh.

"That's not what I am meaning to talk to you about," Sky said, then rubbing his forehead quickly afterwards. "Guys, we have been friends for... well, almost forever. We have been through many things together, and I could not be more proud to call you guys Sky Army generals. But, there is a very important thing that I must ask you guys." He paused, taking in a deep breath. After a moment, he said, "I want you guys to lead the Sky Army for a while, and I want you guys to get the next weapon that we are going after."

I jerked in surprise. What was Sky doing? "Why do you want us to lead? Can't you have Deadlox do it instead of us?" I asked, exchanging a quick glance with Jerome.

Sky shook his head afterwards. "I do not want Deadlox to lead the Sky Army. I... I have thought about this for a while now, and I have decided that I want you two to lead the Sky Army, just for a time. It's not going to be permanent. I just... I just need to go someplace that I have to go to someplace for a bit, and that requires me to go alone."

"Does anybody else know of this besides me, Mitch and Ant?" Jerome then asked, looking back to Sierra, who could not hear this conversation because she was still getting healed by Seto and Jen.

Our friend sighed once again. "No, because I don't want people to worry about me. Especially Dawn. She will never let me go alone, and she would not want me going off somewhere that she doesn't know of. For the good of the others, I have to only tell you three of my departure. I should be back in a couple days time, and then you two can go back to being your old, crazy selves, and everything should go back to normal."

Jerome and I fell silent, barely nodding our agreement. Sky said that it was going to be for the good of the others to leave, but I had a gut feeling that everyone would go insane because of Sky leaving. But for some reason, Sky could not see that him leaving would cause just as much trouble as the destruction of CubeCity caused all the contention between our friends.

Sky stood up, and then he cast a quick glance over to Sierra. Looking down quickly, he then walked up closer to me and Jerome. "I want both of you to take care of Sierra while I am gone. I know that leaving will probably break her heart, but I have to do this. If I don't, then... someone might get hurt. I don't want her to be upset or anything, so I want both of you to take my place. Take... take care of her, please," He then asked quietly. "She is my only sister, and she is the only family that I have anymore. I don't want to lose her like I barely did. You two are her best friends, and I know that you can take care of her like I can. Please, please do this for me." I nodded, and then I saw Jerome nod right next to me. Sky breathed in, and then he nodded as well. Picking up a backpack that sat next to him, Sky then quickly pat me on the shoulder, and then, he slipped something into my hands. Whatever it was, it was wrapped in a cloth. Without another word, Sky walked out of the tent, and left us officially.

Jerome turned to me once Sky was completely out of the tent, and then he asked, "What's in the wrapping?" Looking down to the gift, I then carefully unwrapped it, and froze when I saw the gleaming blade of the rapier that we had grabbed from the Blocky Mountains. It shone in the torch light, glimmering beautifully. The jewels on the hilt reflected every color of the rainbow, and I couldn't help but think that that weapon was meant to be wielded by someone that had more power than me. I looked out of the tent, and watched as the tent flaps fluttered in the wind. I inhaled deeply. I was just hoping that Sky knew what he was doing, and that everything was going to turn out right in the end.

Jen's POV- (Yay! Another new POV!)

Seto and I didn't take long to finish healing up Sierra, and once we were done, Bajan turned to pick her up. As he walked up to us to pick her up, I saw him slip something into his back sword sheath. I only caught a small glimpse of it, and the blade shone slightly in the torch light. That confused me. "Where is Sky?" Seto asked, looking around the tent quickly. It was then that I realized he actually was gone. Sky seemed to have disappeared into nothing.

Mitch stayed completely silent as he picked Sierra up, and then once she was secured in his arms, he quietly responded, saying, "I have no idea. He walked out of here before we were done talking." He sounded to me like he was keeping something from us, but I didn't want to push the matter. I knew better than to get on the bad side of Mitch. Soon after that, the two best friends walked out of there, just leaving me, Seto and AntVenom left in the tent.

Ant turned to me and Seto, and then he said, "You two should probably get off to bed soon. We are going to be leaving in the morning, and it would be best if you got as much as rest as you could get. I will see you in the morning, then." The two of us simply nodded, and then we walked out of the tent. As soon as we were out, Ant closed the flap, and then our surroundings quickly turned quiet.

I turned to Seto, breathing out slightly. "Man, it seems like Ant is getting antsy about something... I really don't know what it is."

Seto nodded, and then we started walking towards the outskirts of the camp. A couple of our friends were out walking around, but I believe they were out there to protect the others from the mobs that spawned in the darkness. But even though we were going alone into the dark, I knew that we were going to be protected. Seto was a very skilled warrior, even though he specialized in making potions and sorcery. He could have easily defended us from the danger that the mobs brought to the world. "Yeah, I have noticed that as well. It seems that most of our friends have started to act like that. Sky, Mitch, Ian, almost everyone. It is very peculiar to see..." Seto trailed off, staring forward as we then walked into the line of trees that surrounded the area that we were in.

Grabbing on to the nearest branch, I then hefted myself up into the tree, climbing up a bit. I really didn't know why I liked to climb into trees, it just felt safer for me to be in the trees instead of being on the ground. Looking down, I then saw Seto standing there, his hands on his hips. "What are you doing, Jen?"

Laughing slightly, I then said, "Climbing in this tree, what does it look like, Jimmy?"

"Come on, get down so we can continue talking," Seto then said, holding his hand out to me while smiling. As soon as he smiled towards me, my insides began to bubble. I really don't know why, but just being around him made me become nervous on the inside. Maybe it was because of his kind nature, or his infectious smile, or his humor, but I found him hard to be around because I would get butterflies in my stomach every time I looked at him.

"No, why don't you come up here so we can talk? It will be a bit safer than down on the ground, and we might actually get a bit of privacy to talk up here instead of being down on the ground," I then said, holding my hand out to him. Seto bit his lip, and then he finally reached up to my hand. Grasping on to my hand, Seto then jumped up, hefting himself into the tree as well. As soon as we were both secured in the tree, we rested back against the tree limbs, and stared up into the sky. The sky was clear, and since there were no cities nearby, we could see almost every single star in the sky that was possible to see from the human eye. "Wow, it is so beautiful up here," I then said, breathless because of the beauty that was above my head.

Seto looked over to me, and then he said, "Yeah, it is really beautiful. You will never get this view in CubeCity, that I can promise you."

"Probably now you can where the city is destroyed. I mean, there are no lights, no buildings, nothing. You could probably get this view there right now."

My friend laughed, and then he said, "I guess you are right on that one, Jen." We then fell silent, looking up towards the heavens silently. Occasionally we would hear the short groan of a Zombie or the clacking of a Skeleton, but from where we were up in the tree, we were protected from them. Finally, after a little while, Seto then asked, "Jen, can... can I ask you something?"

Looking over to him, I then smiled slightly. "Yeah, sure, anything Seto."

He looked a little nervous, but then he breathed in slightly. "Jen, we have been friends for a while now. And... well... what I was wanting to ask was-"

Right then, we heard someone running up to the tree that we were underneath. Looking down, I then saw that it was Dawn. "Guys! Get down from there!" She cried out, worry filling her voice.

Sitting up, I then looked down to her. "What is it, Dawn?"

With her eyes filled with worry and grief, Dawn then said, "Sky... he's... he's gone."

Seto's POV-

"What!? What do you mean he's gone?" I questioned, shocked because Sky would never disappear, not when we needed his bravery and determination to make through the obstacles in our path.

"I searched around the camp ground and I couldn't find him! I think something bad must have happened to him!" Dawn cried out, looking frantically around while her eyes start to tear up out of anguished separation from the one she loved. I quickly climbed down the tree from Jen, walked up to her, and grabbed her shoulders to make her face me.

"Dawn, calm down. Listen to me, we're gonna find him, okay?" I told her, twisting my head to the side slightly so I could look her in the eye more clearly. Dawn took in heavy breaths, calming down soon afterwards.

"Okay," She replied calmly.

"Good. I'll go grab Jerome and Mitch and search the outskirts of the forest. I'm sure he could be somewhere there. Go search back around the camp ground again," I told her, to which she nodded. She quickly took off back to the camp. I turned around and saw Jen descend down the tree and get to the ground.

"So, Seto, you were gonna tell me something?" She asked me. I quickly remembered what I was gonna say, but I had second thoughts about it.

"Uh... never mind. It's not important now. Maybe another time?" She seemed a little disappointed, but agreed to my question. She started walking away from the tree. Once she was out of earshot, I sighed a breath of relief. I couldn't do it. I couldn't tell her. I didn't know that if she'll accept or reject it. But the more I kept it to myself, the more bad I felt to keep it a secret. But the situation now seemed more important than what I had to say to her. Maybe when I get the chance... maybe then will I get to show her how I really feel about her.

Jerome's POV-

While Mitch was asleep in his sleeping bag and Sierra was out cold from the medicine that Seto and Jen had given her (as she had to stay around us because she could not move otherwise on her own), I continued to look over the rapier. For some reason, I blamed this weapon for Sky's departure from us. But then, I thought back at all the contentions between some of our friends throughout this journey. I couldn't help but think that it's their arguments with each other that drove Sky to leave. He got so fed up with everyone's disagreements that he just left us out of frustration and left Mitch and I in charge. But I wouldn't let him down. I promised him that we would protect everyone and ensured that his departure remained a secret. Suddenly, one of the flaps to our tent flips open. I look up and see Seto.

"Guys, we need your help! Sky is missing," The sorcerer told me. My eyes widened in fright. How did he find out that Sky took off? But I couldn't say no. Seto might suspect something is up.

I quickly said, "Really? Don't worry, we're coming." Seto nodded and left from the tent. I panicked. What have I done!? What was I supposed to do? Then, I turn to Mitch and shook him to wake him up, careful to not wake up Sierra.

"Dude, get up! We have a problem!" I whispered to him. He groaned in his sleep and turned on his side, facing away from me. I sighed in annoyance, then I turned and quickly grabbed a bottle of water from my backpack. I uncorked it and pretty much launched the liquid inside the bottle at him.

He immediately woke up, soaked in water. He glared at me tiredly and said, "Jerome, what the Nether?"

"Mitch, we have a problem," I told him.

"Yeah, right. The problem here is that now I'm soaking wet and I can't sleep now," Mitch complained, shaking his hair dry.

I groaned in annoyance as I said, "You're missing the point! Seto came earlier and said that Sky was gone!"

"What!? Why did you tell him!?" Mitch asked me in shock, then wincing slightly as we then heard Sierra groan and turn over where she was sleeping.

"I didn't! He must have found out. Besides, I never break a promise," I told him.

Mitch sighed, and then he replied "Well, what are we gonna do?"

I looked away to think. I knew that if we told Seto where Sky was, he would be angry that we didn't tell him the truth. But we promised Sky that we would never breathe a word about his disappearance. And I wasn't about ready to break his promise. I was his friend, and I would sacrifice anything to make sure I keep that promise. So, I turned to Mitch and said, "We're gonna have to pretend to look for Sky. I'm sure that he is miles away from us by now. I know it's gonna hurt the others, but Sky left for the betterment of us all." Mitch looked down in slight sadness.

"But it's gonna hurt the ones who love him," He replied, glancing quickly over to Sierra. After that, I got to my feet and crawled out of the tent, Mitch following close behind.

Moments later, we were trekking through the woods. The ones who came with us were Dawn, Jen, Mitch, me, Seto, Ian, and Bodil since they were the only ones available to come with us. Seto carried a torch as he lead the way, the others following close behind as they scanned through the heavy brush for Sky.

"Adam!? Adam, where are you?" Dawn cried out, her voice echoing through the dead silence of the forest.

"Hope you're not dead!" Bodil shouted. Several of us glare at him. He looks over and chuckles uneasily. "Well, it could be possible," He said, then beginning to walk again, almost tripping over his new foot.

I was getting worried. If Adam found out that we are looking for him, he'll think that Mitch and I told them and he'll never trust us with a promise again. It was wrong, but I had to keep the others from reaching the outskirts where he could still be there. Along the path, we came across a fork in the road. Seto looked at the paths, wondering which one would lead to the edge of the forest. I looked closer at the path on the left, the gravel and cobblestone trail slowly turning grassy while the path on the right still maintained its trail. I quickly ran up to the front and said, "Let's go on the one to the right!"

"Um... are you sure, Jerome? 'Cause the other path seems to-" I quickly cut Seto off by pushing him towards the right path.

"I'm positive. Just lead the way." He shrugged and continued on the path, the others following him. I sighed quickly; this path should lead us away from the edge of the forest. I looked guilty at Mitch, the same expression displayed in his eyes. My conscience was yelling at me to tell them the truth, but I ignored it.

Half an hour passed, and the path that we trekked on led us back to the eastern part of the forest. Once we exited from the trees, Seto gasped as he realized that we bumped into a dead-end. A large rocky cliff blocked our way, the very top of the edge having more trees above it.

"I can't believe it. It's a dead-end," Seto stated, walking up to the rocky wall in front of him and looking around. Then, he turned his gaze towards me. "Jerome, I thought you said that this path was the right one," He said, a hint of anger within his tone.

I quickly responded nervously with, "I... guess my instincts were wrong. Well, it's getting pretty late. Maybe we should try again tomorrow." Suddenly, Seto narrowed his eyes in suspicion. Inside my mind, I panicked. He was starting to suspect something, which I prayed would never happen.

"Jerome... why do I have this feeling that you're not telling the truth?" Seto questioned, turning completely around to face me.

"What do you mean? I've told the truth this whole time!" I cried out, trying to hide my nervousness away from him and everyone else. "Mitch, you know I would never lie, would I?" I asked my best friend.

Mitch nodded and responded with, "Of course you wouldn't, biggums. Only a complete jag would lie to his friends." I wanted to glare at Mitch. He straight-forward just called me a jag in that sentence.

I turned back to Seto and replied, "See? Anyway, I'm sure Sky will be fine. He probably just went out hunting or something."

"If Sky did go hunting, he would have told us, which he didn't," Seto pointed out.

"Then what are you suspecting me and Mitch for? I'm telling you, I have no idea where Sky is or where he could be. Anyways, it's getting close to midnight here. It's dangerous for us to be out here any longer. Let's just go back. Adam will be fine," I lied to him. With that, Mitch and I start heading back on the path. I looked behind myself and saw the others slowly following us, but Seto still held his suspicious gaze on us. I quickly looked back to Mitch and said, "I don't know how long I'll be able to keep this promise."

"You need to try, Jerome. Sure, it's hard to lie to a friend, or even multiple friends, but you're doing it for Adam. Besides, within a couple of days, he'll come back and there won't be anything to worry about," Mitch insisted.

That is... if he comes back,' I doubtfully thought to myself.

Sky's POV-

I ran as fast as I could. I didn't want the others to know that I took off without telling them. It felt wrong, but I needed to do this. I just hoped that Jerome and Mitch could be the best leaders that they could be and protect my sister at all costs. As I continued to run, I slowly started to slow my running down to jogging. Then, I started walking. Looking towards the scene in front of me, I found myself in a silent meadow with a medium lake near the edge of the grassland. I padded across the tall grasses, hearing the soft chirping of crickets and the hoots from owls perched on spruce trees. I slowly walked up to the lake and looked into it, seeing my dull and somberly self reflected off the water's surface.

"... Where in my life did everything go wrong?" I asked myself, not that I was expecting a response back. I watched as a lone leaf gently floated towards my reflection and touched the surface of the water, distorting my reflection. Once the water settled, I saw that my reflection was no longer there, just an outline of a person. I sighed as I backed away, then I resumed walking away from the meadow. After a short walk through the plains biome, I walked to the top of a short rise in the plains, a rocky edge being at the end. I walked up to the cliff and looked in the distance, seeing nothing but a endless grassy environment in front of me. I gazed towards the sky and saw the dark welkin, thousands of stars glowing millions of miles away. But I couldn't see the moon. The only sign that it was there was the dark outline of the moon, casting only darkness upon me with no amount of white light anywhere.

I sighed as I let my entire body collapse upon the soft grass below me. I was exhausted from the journey I made, away from the people I swore that I could protect. I was betraying my promise, guilt enveloped over me like a cold blanket. I decided to take a short nap before setting off again. Hopefully, I could put aside the guilt of leaving my friends for now. I rested my head on top of my arms and slowly, I started to drift off to sleep.

But then, a low growl met my ears. I snapped my eyes open, picked up my head, and looked around. But all I heard was silence.

"Huh... I could have sworn I heard something," I wondered to myself. Then, I heard more growling. I quickly look towards the forest and saw a pack of wolves. But... there was something wrong with these wolves. They were completely charcoal-black with purple irises and red serpent-like eyes. Their sharp teeth went over their lower jaws, and they all had ragged fur that was slightly matted. I watched as a bigger wolf appeared in front of the pack. A pair of saber-tooth-like canines curved over his lower jaw and around his neck was a collar with Ender pearls around his neck. Immediately, I knew what these wolves were. "Ender Wolves..." I whispered to myself, getting to my feet and standing my ground. The pack leader raised his head, letting out a low-pitched howl. The wolves snarled and start running towards me.

I wasn't deterred by this, and I quickly grabbed my butter sword. The first wolf lunged for me and I swung my sword, but the creature disappeared, leaving a cloud of purple particles in my way. I quickly looked around, wondering where it had gone. Then, the wolf appeared next to me and pushed me off of the cliff. I landed on my back after the tumble, and watched as the wolf leapt off the cliff and rushed to bite me. I quickly grabbed its jaws, grunting as it tried to sink its teeth into my neck. I quickly grabbed my sword and stabbed it into the wolf's head. The carnivore howled in pain and collapsed to the ground. But the pack quickly appeared, approaching me slowly while growling at me. I got to my feet and held my sword in front of me, ready to take down those creatures of the dark.

"Bring it!" I yelled at them. The rest of the wolves came down to where I had fallen, circling me like they were sharks and I was the person trapped on the sinking boat. I pivoted on my foot, rotating slightly to watch as many of the wolves as I could. How was it that I always managed to get myself into these sort of situations?

Right then, one of the wolves pounced on me, but I was watching it. Swiping quickly, I turned towards the creature, and the blade sunk quickly into the pelt of the wolf. Giving out a quick whimper, the dog then collapsed to the ground, its dead body then vanishing into a million purple particles. But that one dog was replaced by its comrades, who were angry at me for killing two of their brethren. I backed up quickly, holding the tip of my sword towards them. They all approached me, keeping low to the ground. With their eyes boring into mine, they all then leapt on to me, pushing me to the ground.

Their claws stung my skin, and I realized right then that I was not going to get out of that situation alive. Not many people lived to tell the tale that they survived the attack of the Ender Wolves. I didn't struggle as they brutally ripped into my skin. "I am so sorry, Dawn," I then said, feeling a few tears escaping from my eyes. I had wanted to protect my friends, but I would never be able to protect them again after this. I closed my eyes, and just wished that my life would end soon after that, wanting to be done with the pain that those wolves were giving to me.

All of a sudden, I heard thundering footsteps, and then a moment later, the claws were drawn back. I was left alone in silence. Opening my eyes, I then pushed myself shakily up, feeling the pain of every bone in my body. Those wolves were really vicious. But what had gotten them to leave me alone? Normally those kind of creatures never backed up from attacking someone until they were just a pile of bones... what had gotten me to survive that attack? Looking around, I saw that my surroundings were silent, not even the occasional mob being in sight. A moment later, I then heard those same thundering footsteps. Looking up, I then saw that there was a giant, shadowy figure on the top of the cliff. I was frightened. When the thing leapt from the cliff down to me, I covered my face with my arms, awaiting the attack that was inevitable to happen. But... nothing happened.

Opening my eyes painfully, I then looked up as I saw a large creature standing before me. It's red eyes glared down at me, and I could not tell what it was right then because of the darkness that enveloped the biome. But I collapsed backwards in pain before I could find out what the creature was. I was bleeding too heavily... and I was becoming light-headed too quickly. The last thing that I saw before I passed out from blood-loss was the glint of budder on the creature's arms... and that the creature was picking me up with its long, majestic arms.
