Sky's POV-
I was glad that I made the decision to go back to my friends and save them. If not, they would been killed by the T. Rex. We navigated ourselves out of the ravine, seeing the dark, starry night above us. We made a short walk away from the now empty and silent ravine. After traveling half a mile into the forest, we decided to call it a night and get some rest. I'm sure everyone was exhausted after everything that they've had to go through. We found an area to stop in a secure and tranquil clearing in the forest and set up camp.
Once everyone finished setting up the tents and all, everyone sat around the fire and ate our food while talking about the events of today, especially when I came back to save them. I knew in my heart that Butter Golem was the one who saved the day. If it hadn't convinced me to go back, then I would still be running away and my friends would have met their demise. And yet, I wondered where it had gone. Then, I knew that it had a job to do. Maybe, one day, I'll be able to meet Butter Golem again.
After everyone had eaten their fill, they said goodnight to each other and crawled into their tents. I entered into my tent with Dawn. After being apart for a while, I wanted to spend some time with my girlfriend. As we rested on top of our sleeping bags, Dawn and I gave each other kisses. She must have missed me, but I missed her, as well as Sierra and the others. After a few minutes passed, Dawn and I stared into each other's eyes, sharing one last kiss.
"Don't ever leave us again, Adam," Dawn whispered to me.
I quickly replied, "I won't... ever again. Leaving everyone was the worst choice I could make. You all need me, and I need everyone... even you."
Dawn smiled as she hid her face in my neck. I wrapped my arms around her, holding her frame close to mine. I couldn't imagine how devastated Dawn and Sierra would have been if I never came back. I guess all that mattered then was that I was back and we're all safe and sound... for the moment, at least. We still had seven more weapons to collect, and the world was still in danger because of Herobrine and the Squid Army.
"I wonder what Herobrine and the Squid Army are planning..." I thought to myself, and then I shook off the thought to try and get some rest, pulling Dawn closer to me and shutting my eyes as I heard the quiet forest sounds sing a soothing lullaby to me.
Derpollolus's POV-
"Derpy! Derpious! Derp!" I yelled out. It had been over a day since I last saw my Guardian Squids. I had sent them to find Sky's body and bring back his amulet, but it was already the night hours and they still haven't returned with what I wanted. Those three idiots would never, and I mean never, abandon their duties and would always follow my every order and yet, this was happening. As I slithered through the lapis hallways, I glanced forward and saw a lone Squid crawling from one section of the hall.
"Hey you!" I shouted out. The Squid flinched upward and quickly looked towards me. The Squid bowed down submissively as I slithered up to him.
"Derpollolus, my king, whatever do you need me to do?" The Squid asked.
"I need you to tell me where my Guardian Squids are. Have you seen Derpy, Derpious, and Derp?!" I asked the Squid in anger.
The Squid looks around nervously, then replies, "Um... I... I can't say that I have, but-"
"So have you seen them or not!?" I cut him off abruptly.
He answered back meekly, "Eh... no?" I slammed my tentacle against the worthless Squid, making him slam against the wall and fall unconscious on the floor. I ignored him as I slithered away. I know that it's abuse, but I'm the king and whatever happens in this place is the way I want it to go. I was getting more and more agitated. If those sorry excuses for guardians didn't come back by midnight, they were gonna get it when they return. Burned alive with all of the other Squids who have turned their backs on me, betrayers who have revealed precious information, and Squids who failed to complete or do an order.
I was thankful that the army is expansive and large. If one Squid were to die or be executed, another thousand more would take that Squid's place in the army.
As I slithered outside of my castle, I glanced out towards the ocean. About miles away, I could faintly make out the demolished CubeCity outline. When we conquered CubeCity, we had moved the castle to the Overworld so it was a lot easier to get back and forth between CubeCity and the Squid Castle. I wondered on how my Squids could have caused so much damage in one day. It's obvious that they wouldn't have set everything on fire and bring down large buildings and skyscrapers, so who could this be the work of?
Just then, I started hearing a strange whirring sound. I looked around, trying to the find the source of the sound. I looked upward and saw a weird, purplish portal start to take up the clouds above, making them swirl around and turn a sickish purple color. A figure descended from the portal and slowly floated towards me. I backed away in slight caution, not knowing who this figure could be. The figure landed on its feet and gazed at me, two bright and blank lights glowing from its head. Taking a few steps, the figure revealed to be... Herobrine. I gazed in shock, as the Nether King stood a few feet before me.
"Derpollolus..." Herobrine spoke out in a heavy voice.
"Herobrine..." I said back.
"I was called here by a couple of Squids, who stated that you were in need of my assistance," Herobrine explained. "The destruction has been done upon CubeCity and its inhabitants. All that is left now is if you are content on working together."
"Working together? I never said anything like that. All that I wanted is for you to destroy CubeCity and capture Sky Fisher," I stated firmly towards him. Then, I thought back of the events that took place before, and then I asked, "Who told you this?"
"A trio of Squids who found their way into my dimension," Herobrine answered, nonchalantely spinning his enchanted diamond sword in hand. I knew who those Squids were: my Guardian Squids. I know I ordered them to get Herobrine to send his mobs to take down the city, but never did I ordered them to tell Herobrine that he could work with me. They were going to be in even more trouble now once they come back... that is, if they ever decided to get the ink sacs to show their faces around here again.
I replied to Herobrine, "Listen, I think my Squids made a mistake. I only told them to tell you that I only wanted your help in obliterating the city and capturing the one with the amulet, which I need to take control of the world." Herobrine chuckled evilly as he slowly started walking around me, making me glance at him as he does a full circle around me.
As he is doing this, he said, "I would have expected your Squids to make a mistake, seeing that they're pretty much the most useless and annoying mob to frolic in Minecraftia, and yet, my brother thought that it would a good idea to let them exist in the first place. He doesn't deserve to be the god of the Overworld... I do." He turned towards me and stared with his unnerving and colorless eyes.
"You and me have a lot in common," He stated, looking up to me.
"Wait... we do?" I questioned, not sure if I was getting what he meant.
"Yes... we both want to rule the world, and we both have a mortal enemy that we despise and would do everything in our power to take him down!" He replied, stomping his foot down to confirm his statement. Then, he said, "I think we can come to a compromise."
I thought clearly about what the Nether demon had said, and then I decided to trust him for what he had to say. "Go on," I said suspiciously.
"It's simple. You can build CubeCity into your image and provide a place for my Nether mobs and in return, I will send my Nether mobs to bring back the Butter God's amulet or better yet, the Butter God himself, so that you can torture him all you want. Once we have his amulet, we can rule the world with our combined armies and I will assume my rightful place as the only god of the Overworld!" He preached, laughing manically afterwards.
This plan seemed crazy... crazy enough to work. I replied, "... Deal."
"Very good choice, Derpollolus. I'll send my Zombie Pigmen to locate Sky and his companions, kill them, and bring back the Butter God, dead or alive. In the meantime, you and your army can get to work on rebuilding the city into the best that it can be for us rulers," Herobrine planned. I nodded in approval. With that, the Nether God took off into the air and zoomed through the portal he came down from. The clouds convulse and morph as the portal begins to disappear, leaving the cloudy welkin above normal and untouched.
I was excited for the new plan I made with Herobrine, and yet, I couldn't help but have my doubts about this deal. Herobrine is ruthless, cruel, bossy, and always looking for power over others, although the same goes for me.
But he is immortal and I am not. So I couldn't help but think that he might be taking an advantage over me, since he is a god and I'm nothing more but a Squid ruler. But he seemed eager to team up with me to take over the world, so I pushed that thought aside and decided to get my Squids working on rebuilding CubeCity. I had many plans for the new city. Any survivors who stumbled onto our city will be forced into slavery and put to work for the rest of their lives.
I smirked as I turned and entered back into my castle, many evil plans running through my mind. Working with Herobrine was going to be a good thing after all. And it's all thank to my idiotic Guardian Squids, to which I don't even care if they ever come back.
Mitch's POV-
I slowly opened my eyes, hearing the birds chirping outside of the tent I slept in. I rubbed my eyes as I slowly crawled out of the tent and looked out. I shut my eyes quickly before I could adjust to the light. Once I was able to see, the beauty of the forest was all that I saw. The sunlight escaping through the branches of the trees was beautiful. Dew droplets fell from the tips of grasses to the ground. The peaceful sight of this was awesome. I just only wished that it would be like this back in CubeCity.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" I heard a female voice ask.
I looked over to the source of the voice and saw Sierra crawling out of the tent next to mine. The sunlight made her eyes light up gorgeously, and her hair seemed to glow with a heavenly halo. She appeared to not have ever been injured before and seemed to be back to normal. I gulped nervously as I replied, "Uh... yeah, it definitely is." She smiled as she looked towards the scenery, then linking her fingers together behind her back. I now saw my chance to get closer with Sierra. Slowly, I inched my way next to her, but when she turned her head towards me, I immediately froze in place. Sierra giggled as she then moved towards me and rested her head on my chest while leaning against me slightly. I blushed, never really getting this close to her on a normal basis. I smiled as I moved my arm over to hold her closer, but right then, I saw Adam appear out of his tent, soon after looking towards me.
I quickly yanked my arm back, which earned a smirk from Adam. One by one, everyone emerged from their tents and started gathering their stuff. Sierra moved away as she had to gather her stuff as well. I sighed annoyingly, nearly getting my chance before it was taken away. Maybe another opportunity will arrive soon. Right now, we were going after the Poisonous Sword in the Wheezy Swamp. I crawled back into my tent to gather my items.
After trekking through some hard and rocky terrain, coming into our sights was a swamp, the sky over the wet biome being a dull-green and bluish color. We stopped in front of the swamp, strange animal noises erupted from within the environment. Along with it, a light-greenish sort of mist floated over the swamp. In front of the group, I saw Adam and Ant take a few steps up to the swamp.
"So... any particular reason why they call this the Wheezy Swamp?" Adam asked Ant.
"There is. The sickish greenish-looking mist that settles upon this swamp has a chemical that causes whoever breathes it in to let out harsh, congested, and wheezy coughs, causing a person's windpipe to close up. Anyone who stays unprotected in this swamp for more than 10 minutes dies from suffocation if their windpipe is closed up for too long," Ant explained, making Sky cringe in slight fear.
"So how the heck are we supposed to get through this?" I asked, walking up to the two. Ant reaches into his backpack and pulls out several dozen white handkerchiefs.
"We'll use these. They'll protect us from the mist and let us breathe without sucking in the dangerous chemicals," Ant replied.
Everyone grabbed a cloth and tied them around, covering their noses and mouths. I grabbed one and tied it tightly around the mid-part of my head, making sure that every part of my mouth and nose was hidden away. As everyone was tying on the cloths, I looked over and saw Bash was having a bit of trouble tying a handkerchief around his dog, mostly because the canine didn't want to have it covering his mouth and nose.
"Come on, Pewface. Do you want to suffocate to death?" Bashur exclaimed, his voice slightly muffled from the cloth covering his mouth.
The dog turned to him and said, "Maybe I do. Besides, I'm not going in there. There could be monsters, piranhas, lions, tigers, bears-"
Bash cuts him off by stating, "Okay, now you're just being ridiculous. Seriously, what kind of a lion would live in a swamp like this!?" Pewface looks down to think of something, and just as he is about to speak Bash ties the hanky around his muzzle.
"There. That wasn't so bad," Bashur said. Pewface growls in his throat as he tried to take the cloth off using his paw, but it was wrapped tightly around his muzzle. Bash tied a leash on the dog's pink collar and started leading him, the canine digging his paws into the dirt as he is dragged away. I rolled my eyes in amusement. Despite this whole journey, Bashur and his dog still kept their sense of humor. Adam lead us into the swamp, moving some droopy branches out of the way. As we entered the swamp, everything seemed to get darker. The ground below us was wet and muddy, making our travel very difficult. It was like quicksand, making us sink with each step we took.
"Notch, it's so hard to walk through this," I complained, taking another step.
Jerome, who was walking next to me, said, "Just be glad we aren't suffocating from the mist." I nodded; at least we were safe from the green mist.
As we continued to travel through the wet and humid environment, we heard a buzzing sound. We froze and looked around, hoping that it wasn't any type of danger. Then, a slightly big green bug came into view, crawling on the bark of a blueish-green tree. Adam stared at the insect with caution as Ant took a few steps closer to analyze the bug.
"What is that?" I said, looking at the bug.
"It's a Virus Bug, one of the many living mobs in the swamp," Ant concluded. Suddenly, the bug leapt from the tree. Several of us moved out of the way, avoiding the potentially dangerous insect. The bug ended up on Bash's arm. The melon gasped as he looked down, but the bug sinks its fangs into the melon's skin. He yelped in pain as he shakes his arm, making the bug fall off. I quickly rushed towards the bug and killed it by stepping on it. Bash grasped his arm in pain.
I turned to him and asked, "Bash, you alright?"
"No! I just got bit!" He exclaimed, looking at his wound. The bug left two bite holes in his arm, causing a reddish substance to drip from the bite wound. "Oh no, the bug poisoned me! I'm a goner! The end is near for me! Go, save yourselves, I'm done for!" Bash cried out, falling to his knees. Several of the guys looked at each other in worry, thinking that the melon was really gonna die. He leaned his head back and put his forearm to his forehead before crying out, "Goodbye, cruel world!" He collapsed to the ground, letting his limbs stretch out. However, I was the only one who didn't show concern for him.
Bashur is a watermelon. Therefore, he didn't have any internal organs or blood to actually die from a bug bite. After a few seconds passed by, I said, "Bash, if you were really dead, your stomach wouldn't be moving up and down." Slowly, Bash lifted his head up and looked around in confusion.
"Where am I?" He asked, squinting slightly to keep up with his dramatic act.
I sighed behind my hanky as I walked up to the melon and knelt next to him. "Here, let me see your arm," I commanded.
He reluctantly put his arm out and I looked closely at his wound. I took off my backpack and reached into it, pulling out a roll of cloth. I started wrapping it around his wound to prevent him from losing his bodily fluids. Once enough of the cloth was on, I cut the end off, placed the roll back, and tied the two ends of the cloths around his arm. I stood back up and help the melon to his feet as well.
"See? You overreacted over nothing," I told him.
Bash rubbed his neck in embarrassment as he said, "Yeah... I guess I overreacted a bit... anyway, we better get going. We got no time to lose." The others agreed and resumed the travel. I walk besides Jerome as we ventured further into the swamp.
As we turned to continue walking, I heard MunchingBrotato laugh, and then he said, "Drama queen." I quickly turned towards him and shot him a deadly look, which immediately got him to shut up.
The path from there only got worse. We started trudging through freezing-cold and muddy waters, some parts of the water reaching up to our shins while other times it reached up to our chests. Along the way, several types of bugs tried to bite our skins, but we slapped them away before they could leave their mark on us, nor we were even prepared for any diseases they might have. We braved through the rough obstacles that the swamp had to throw at us. But the next thing that we were gonna face... was the biggest obstacle we ever had to go against.
Bashur's POV-
After a few minutes of struggling through the wet lands, we finally made it on to dry land. We padded along a dirt and gravel path, and a moment later, we bumped into a large lake. The lake was still and quiet, creating sort of an ominous mood amongst us. At the very center of the lake was a small patch of land, and held in a tangle of vines... was the Poisonous Sword. Its hilt had a black tint with a green gem in the center of it and its blade was dark-green with small bubbling particles emitting from it.
"Well, there's the sword. I'll go get it," Adam said, stepping forward to take the risk of getting it. However, something came to me at that moment. Maybe I should be the one to grab the sword. After all, I wanted to do something for the group for once. So I dashed up to the Minecrafter and stopped him in his tracks.
"Wait, Sky. I'll go and get the sword," I said to him bravely.
"Are you sure, Bash? Something could happen and I don't want to see you get hurt," He asked unsurely.
I replied quickly, "I'm sure." I looked towards the lake, and then I took a brave step forward. But when something blue came into my line of vision, I yelped and ran back to hide behind Sky. Curse my lack of bravery!
"Bash, relax. It's just a butterfly," I heard Sky said. I looked from behind him and saw a bright-blue butterfly flying towards us. I sighed in relief, knowing that this was no monster. The large-winged insect fluttered over to Sierra, who smiled and reached a hand out. But then, a sudden realization came over me. I looked at the pattern of the butterfly's wings, the black lines on the the pair of wings being criss-crossed over each other, forming into... a skull. Behind my 3-D glasses, my eyes widen in fear.
"Sierra, no! Don't touch that!" I yelped out, lunging in front of her and shooing the insect away by waving my bandaged arm.
Sierra looked at me and asked, "Bash, what has gotten into you!?"
I answered, "That's no ordinary butterfly, Sierra. That's a Helena Butterfly. If it lands on a human or a mob, it will poison them." She gasped in fear, and I watched as the insect flew away from us and away to over the water.
Out of the lake, a long, thin appendage grabbed the butterfly in mid-air, and then brought it down into the water. We stared as everything went silent. Then, a pair of green eyes poked out of the surface of the lake, its yellow pupils looking everywhere before staring at us. They suddenly turned red in anger. They quickly sank beneath the lake, and then all of a sudden, a huge figure leaps out of the water, completely shattering the still surface of the water. It lands on the small patch of land next to the Poisonous Sword. Despite the dark surroundings of the the swamp, we could make out what this thing was: a huge green, dark-spotted frog with sharp horns on its head and large hind legs. The frog croaked, making its throat expand like a balloon, then sink away. But the one thing that was strange about the croak was that instead of a normal croak, it said, "Wheezy".
Everyone stared in fright, never before meeting a frog as big as this.
"What is that thing?!" I asked, hiding back behind Adam.
Preston walked up to the edge and said, "It's the Wheezy Swamp Mist Frog, biggest amphibian to exist in the whole world. Very protective of anything in its territory." I gulped and looked over Sky's shoulder at the frog. Suddenly, I see Jerome step up to the edge of the lake and take out his axe.
"Stand back, guys. I got this," He said, holding his axe out in front of him.
The frog glares at the Bacca, and then it leans its head backwards and opens its mouth, unleashing a long tongue at Jerome. The flexible appendage wraps around Jerome, which traps him. Jerome cried out as he is pulled from the land and brought back to the frog. The amphibian devours the Bacca as soon as he enters its mouth, swallowing and it croaks again. "Wheezy," It croaked.
Everyone screamed in disgust. Sierra fainted out of too much shock, but she is caught by Dawn, who cried out, "Oh my Notch, it ate Jerome!"
The frog opened its mouth and let out a ear-defeating screech. We groaned, covering our ears. Then, I looked up and gasped as I saw large vines rising from the lake and coming right for us. I backed away quickly as the vines started grabbing everyone while they were still recovering from the screech. They are pulled into the air and the vines violently begin to shake them in the air, making them yell and scream for help.
Me? I was the only one left on the bank of the lake, next to me being my dog. I could only watch as the vines that captured my friends continued to fly around in the air with them. All of a sudden, I heard Sky cry out, "Bashur, do something!"
"You got it!" I answered back. But right as I turned, I was met by the frog's giant red eyes. It croacked its famous croak, and then it returned to glaring at me. At that moment, I screamed and ran for cover behind a tree. I looked from behind the tree, seeinng the frog croaking rapidly, almost like an evil laugh. My friends were still being shaken in the air like ragdolls, and most of them I could tell had passed out from the rush of blood flying around in their bodies. I hid behind the tree again, rubbing my face with my arms in shame as I sank to the ground below me. Pewface trotted up to me in worry soon after.
"What am I gonna do, Pewface? My friends are out there, being tortured by that fish... amphibian or whatever, and I'm the only one who can save them. But I can't. I'm an adventurer, not a fighter. Every single adventure that we went through ended in a complete disaster with us running out of the forest because of a couple of Zombies," I cried out.
Pewface sighed, and then he sat down on his hind legs. "Well, I don't know what to do, but I know that you can face against anything if you just believe in yourself."
I sighed as I looked up at him, tears filling my eyes quickly. "I'm sorry, Pewface. I... I just can't. I'm too much of a coward to even face against a dumb frog."
Pewface sighed in disappointment, and then he replied, "Well, if you're not gonna save your friends, then I will." The dog then took off in a hurry. I looked from behind the tree and watched my pet walk up to the edge of the lake.
"Pewface, don't! It's too dangerous!" I yelled out, but my dog completely ignored me. Instead, he started growling menacingly and barking towards the Wheezy Frog. The frog glared towards the mob, the vines stop moving completely while still holding the Minecrafters. Everyone is shaken up, but seem to be fine at the moment. Many of them began to come conscious again, which was a good thing for me. They look down as Pewface lets out louder barks and growls, approaching even closer into the lake. Another vine appears out of the water and shoots towards Pewface like a bullet. He had no time to react and the vine punched him in the chest, making him yowl in pain. I gasped as my dog is sent flying from the lake and tumbles across the ground before lying completely still on his side.
"Pewface!" I cried out. Right then, I turned and glared at the frog. That one action sent a bolt of courage within me. I leaped out from behind the tree and stepped up to the bank of the lake.
"Nobody messes with my dog!" I growled at the frog. I lunged into the lake and started swimming towards the center for the sword. The frog summoned more vines and they shot towards me. However, right before they could catch me, I grabbed them both and tied them together in a knot. Eventually, I reached the center of the land. The frog opened its mouth and its tongue flew out. I leapt out of the way, its tongue missing my feet by an inch. I landed back on my feet and reached into the vines. I grabbed the hilt of the sword and pulled the weapon out.
That sudden action caused the vines that once held it to wilt and fall over. I look around and see the vines shaking my friends begin to die as well. They collapse into the lake, letting go of everyone. They land into the lake, but quickly made their way back to dry land.
"One last thing to do," I said to myself. As the frog turned around to attack me, I jumped onto its back and aimed the sword for the back of its head. I screamed as I drove the sword into its bumpy and wet skin.
The frog froze in place. I looked as the sword's powers began to eat away at the frog's skin, covering nearly every part of the frog. Moments later, the frog exploded out of nowhere, sending me rocketing into the air. I held the sword tightly in my hands as I flew probably a couple thousand blocks into the air. Then, I heard a scream besides me. I look over and see Jerome flailing his arms and legs while still grasping his axe. He looked nasty, as he was covered in the bile of the frog that had just exploded. Good thing he didn't know that, though.
"Jerome, you're alive!" I exclaimed.
He looked up at me and cried out, "Of course I'm alive. That frog must puked me out."
"Oh, it didn't. I just drove the Poisonous Sword into its head," I explained, showing the sword to Jerome.
He looked around for a moment and asked, "So... where are we now?"
"About a thousand blocks in the... air," I finished, looking down and faintly saw the lake below us. Jerome and I glanced at each other for a second, then start screaming as gravity came and started taking us down to the earth. We uncontrollably flailed our limbs around, descending through the clouds and into the lake. We fell straight through the water's surface. I held my breath as I looked around to find Jerome. I saw him struggling to rise to the surface, as the frog guts were weighing him down. I dove deeper into the lake and grabbed Jerome's hand. I pulled him along with me to the surface. The second we broke through the surface, we gasped deeply and coughed harshly, trying to catch our breaths. Then, I realized that we lost our hankies during the fall.
"Jerome, we lost our hankies! We're gonna die!" I exclaimed.
"Wait... I think the mist is gone," Jerome stated. We both glanced at the sky. The dark, cloudy sky that once covered the swamp was cleared away with a clear welkin that reminded me of a beautiful spring day. I took steady breaths, able to see that the sword controlled the weather over the swamp.
All of a sudden, I heard someone shout "Bashur, Jerome!"
We both looked at the bank of the lake and see Adam and the others safety on land. We both started swimming for the group. We both reached the edge and crawled out of the lake, exhausted and sore, but luckily, unharmed. I smiled as I got to my feet and hold the sword proudly in front of me. Sky walked up to me and said, "That was amazing, Bash. Through sheer courage and skills, you saved us."
I shrugged as I said, "Well, I couldn't stand to see my friends get hurt. And the main reason was because it hurt-" I stopped there when I just remembered something. "Pewface..." I stuttered out. Everyone turned and glanced at the swamp around us. I quickly made my way to the back of the group and saw my pet laying unconscious next to a tree. I quickly jogged over to my pet and fell to my knees.
"P...Pewface?" I tearfully asked. There was no response from him. At that point, everyone gathered around me, looking down in sadness.
"Pewface, stop playing dead," I told him, but silence was all that I was greeted with. I put my hands on his fur and tried shaking him awake, and yet, nothing happened. I was trying to hold back my tears, but the very thought of losing your friend who risked his life for you to live was too much for me to handle. "No..." I whimpered to myself, and then I completely lost it and fell over his body, letting my sorrow out on his cold, damp fur.
After a few minutes, I managed to control some of my crying as I wrapped my arms beneath my friend and lifted him into the air, his head hanging over limply. I turned around and meet my friend's somberly gazes.
Sierra, who had regained her consciousness when the frog grabbed them all and started shaking them around, walked up beside me and put a gentle hand on my shoulder. "I'm so sorry about Pewface, Bashur. I know how much he met to you."
"He meant everything to me. I've-I've had him ever since he was a pup. I saved from being euthanized in the pound. He didn't deserve to die in there with no one to love him. Sure, we-we fought now and then, but he's the one who gave me the courage to be strong..." I said, my voice shaking with so much mournful feelings for my dog. I broke down again and hid my face into his fur, sobbing again and letting my tears fall and soak his fur.
