Hey, guys, sorry about the delay! I got really busy and got stuck on Writer's Block about halfway through this chapter. But, I made it up by writing an extra long chapter in return. Hope you guys enjoy this chapter, and remember, if you do enjoy it, leave a review and a comment below!
Also, go and check out my YouTube channel! The Minecraftology song that I posted in a previous chapter I made into an actual song, although I had to take out a couple songs because of copyright issues. Go and check it out, and let me know what you guys think about it! Anyways, enjoy this chapter of Menaces of Minecraft!
Seto's POV-
Both Jen and I were silent as we stared at the other six Minecraftians in the other two cells. We just couldn't believe what they had told us.
"Wait... you... you knew Sky's parents?" Jen choked out, looking towards Deceptibonk, Blue Monkey and WeedLion.
WeedLion nodded. "Miranda and Jacob Fisher were two of the greatest agents in MSA in history. They had basically changed the system for future agents to learn by. When they had adopted Taylor and Adam, their only two kids, everyone was happy for them. The two of them were raised by these agents, and they learned many important life skills from their parents. The three of us were recruited into the MSA when we were young, and we befriended Adam and Taylor without too much trouble."
Deceptibonk then walked forward, and she grasped on to the bars in front of her. "But then, about seven years ago, disaster struck the agency. It was a cold and stormy night in the middle of January, shortly after Craftmas like it is now. Everyone was doing their normal duties, and it seemed like a normal day. James, Lion and I were with Adam doing routine area surveillance when we heard an explosion from inside the main base. We ran away from our position and into the base, and we realized that we were under attack. Zombie Pigmen were running around killing many agents, and Blazes lit everything on fire. It was total chaos. We took to fighting the mobs, and we tried our best to get through the mess without getting killed. Luckily, none of us got killed, the most we got was broken bones and burn marks. When we went to where the main computer room was, we saw a giant battle occurring between Miranda, Jacob and a very strange being. Only later did we realize that it was Herobrine. Adam freaked out when he saw his parents almost dead, and Herobrine turned towards us, fire blazing through his eyes. He loaded up strange balls of red energy on his palms, and he let them fly. The room exploded in a mess of rubble, and when the smoke cleared, we realized Herobrine had gotten away. Adam ran forwards into the smoke, and when he found his parents, he began to weep. They had... been killed in the blast. For five days he didn't even talk to us, and soon after that, Taylor went missing. James here went to figure out what happened, and when he found Taylor running randomly through the forest, he realized that his memory had been erased. The work was done by Herobrine. Adam couldn't take the thought of losing his entire family, and he soon resigned and went missing. Nobody has been able to find him since," She said, her eyes clouded by the memories that flashed through her mind.
"We were captured a couple months ago by the Squids, and ever since then we have been in here. Trust me, being stuck in here is not one of the best things to happen to you," Blue Monkey said, his radiant eyes darting between me and Jen continually.
I looked over to Jen, who had tears building up in her eyes. I frowned as the tears began to fall, and she tried desperately to blink them away. Jen normally never was like that. She never cried, only when something terrible happened to her or one of her friends.
"That makes sense... when I moved from GeoCity to CubeCity, I had been introduced to Adam by Mitch and Jerome, and even then I could see a darkness to his eyes. Eventually with time the darkness seemed to disappear from his eyes, but when Herobrine attacked our city, I saw the darkness return. I had never dared ask him what the issue was, because I didn't want him to be uncomfortable around his closest friends. I just never knew how serious his past was..." She trailed off, then falling silent.
Shaking my head, I then looked towards the other three girls in the cell next to them. "So, how did you three get into here then?"
Mallory sighed, looking down to the ground. "We were protecting our village from the Squids. It was only two weeks ago that it happened. The three of us were doing a parkour map just outside of our little village when we heard screaming from our home. Running back there, we stopped in our tracks when we saw Mutant Squids attacking and killing many of the people we had grown up with. Fighting back, we didn't make too much of a difference, but we were able to get out many families and send them on their way to CubeCity, the closest city that could hold refuge for them. While trying to escape ourselves, a bunch of Flying Squids swooped down from the sky and captured us. We have been stuck in here since."
"Wow, you guys were doing such great things to get captured... I didn't even know that many people from the cities survived. We thought we were the last ones alive... which is not a very helpful thought to think especially when we have the fate of our species and our world laid on our shoulders," I said, then wincing as a wave of pain ripped through my body. Jen turned to me with a worried glint in her eyes, and she immediately came up to my side, right away going to check my wound.
"Well, things end up not being courageous when no one is there to say that it is courageous, especially when you have been stuck in here for as long as we have been," WeedLion then said, glancing quickly over to Deceptibonk and Blue Monkey. "The days just seem to blend together, half of the time we don't even know if it is day or not. All we have to look forward to is the tart food that is given to us to keep us alive. That's what you guys will have to suffer through if you are stuck in here for a while."
"No, we will be out of here in a couple days at most. We know Adam and the others, they wouldn't even give a second thought of abandoning us to be the Squids' slaves," Jen said, tightening a new bandage that she had conjured from her inventory around my torso and stomach.
"You sound confident on that factor. Are you even sure they know what captured you two?" Deceptibonk asked, raising an eyebrow in our direction.
I nodded. "They would never leave us behind. Besides, we have AntVenom in our group, and he could recognize any trail made by any creature in Minecraftia. If they haven't already found out that it is Squid, well, then they are not as smart as we believed them to be."
"You never know, maybe they meant to abandon you with the Squids," Mallory shot quickly.
Both Jen and I were silent as we looked at each other. It was possible... but not likely. "Well, we won't know unless they come and rescue us," Jen said quickly, and then she leaned up against the wall of the cell, resting her head on the hard surface. I nodded ever so slightly, and then I looked out to the Lapis covered floors. If Sky and them were on their way to us, they might end up encountering Squids, and they might end up getting captured then. Our only chance of survival might end up disappearing before our eyes if that were to happen... and hopefully that never did happen.
Sky's POV-
The first thing that registered to me after being knocked out was that we were being held in a very strange room. My head pounded furiously, and I could feel my arm being completely numb. Groaning, I opened my eyes, I was then met with a flood of light, which temporarily blinded me. Once my sight came back to me, I blinked several times, and glanced around the room where I was being held in. This room was very peculiar to me, nothing of what I had seen before. The floor, the ceiling and the walls were completely made of Lapis Lazuli, and the dim room was lit up with glowstone blocks. All of my friends were in the room with me, all of them being chained to the wall by shingles and chains. Most of them looked beat up and injured, although no obvious injuries like a broken limb or a fractured skull was seen. That made me happy. But then, a wave of pain flooded through my numb left arm, and I winced in pain. Glancing over to my arm, I then noticed that my arm was badly broken. 'Of course, this has to happen to me,' I thought miserably, then glancing to the people closest to me. To my left was Deadlox, and to my right was Brotato. Dawn was two people to my right, while Sierra was five people to my left. Almost every single one of my friends were conscious, excepting a couple of them.
Right then, I heard a door creak open, and I lifted my head up to the sound. A group of about five Squids slithered into the room, each one a different type of mutant. But the one that drew my attention the most was the giant Squid that came in after the others. It had hands and a face that resembled a human, but everything else about it was completely Squid. Dozens of tentacles protruded out of its bottom, and its skin was a deep blue color. A crown made of iron and Lapis sat on its head, and it didn't take me long to realize that that particular Squid was the King of all Squids. I knew his name immediately.
"Derpollolus, how nice to see you again," I spat, glaring towards the behemoth of a Squid.
"The feeling is neutral, Adam Skyler Fisher. What are you doing here so far from home out here in the middle of the ocean?" Derpollolus said, his deep voice lined with silk speech. To any normal Minecrafter, that would have caused them to fall in a trance that would have gained Derpollolus the control over them. But I had taught myself and my friends to not get taken over by the silk speech that many Mob Leaders had control of.
"Taking back something that you took from me. Or did that little piece of information slip your puny little mind?"
A small smile lit the creature's repulsive face, and then he slithered up towards me. I winced as he approached me, not only because we were eternal enemies, but because when I moved, I jolted my broken arm, which sent a thick wave of pain shooting up my arm. Derpollolus lowered his head to my level, and I scrunched my nose when I smelled him. At first he smelled of calamari, and my stomach began to growl, but a moment later a pugnacious smell entered my nose, and it took everything I had to not lose my lunch at that moment.
"Oh, I remember that. I intended on doing that in the first place. But didn't it work perfectly? I managed to get you into my beautiful castle and now you are my prisoner of war. Yes, he will be happy when he hears of this news," Derpollolus said, then backing up and glancing to each of my friends. Most of them, like the girls, flinched back when he looked to them, but others like Tyler, Ty, Jerome and Dakota gave him the bird when he looked to them. I watched Derpollolus as his eyes scanned over my friends, as if picking out a target. But right then, what he said hit my mind. He had said, "He will be happy when he learns of this news". Who did he refer to when he said "he"?
"Yeah, perfectly. You may have gotten us in here, but we will end up getting out. It is inevitable. Every time that you have tried to keep us long in a cage for your devious plan, we ended up escaping and defeating you and your dastardly plan. What says that that instance will not happen again?" I asked, flipping my head to get my bangs out of my face. It was taking all my energy to not let my anger out, which would not have been pretty for Derpollolus, or anyone in that matter, to witnesses. I was pissed. That was all I could describe it as right then. All of my friends were injured and in danger, and we were in my enemy's base being kept as pawns for some big plan that some mysterious person has for us.
Right then, the five Squids behind Derpollolus laughed, which was a strange sound for me to hear since Squids normally never made any sounds, and then all of a sudden, they all mutated into their Mutant forms. The one closest to Sierra sprouted light blue wings from its back and began to flutter up into the air, while the one closest to Bashur on the opposite side of the room sprouted a Wither Skeleton head from its own body (do not ask me how that managed to work, I really don't know even now), and each one of its tentacles sharpened into deadly points. The one next to the Flying Squid growled slightly, its slimy covering turning red. A group of tentacles beneath its body morphed together and created big and muscled arms that migrated to where arms would be normally on any person, and its eyes turned a deep blue color. The one next to the Wither Squid seemed to poop out a TNT from its butt, which was disturbing in itself. Only the bottom of the TNT was visible, and the Squid seemed to sprout mini TNT blocks on the ends of its arms whenever it wanted to shoot TNT out. The last one growled slightly, and right then, its eyes turned a deep, radiant purple. The Squid grew in height two blocks, using its tentacles as arms and as legs. Its covering seemed to darken, and the Squid stanced itself in a fighting position.
"Oh, I am certain that you won't get out easily. Unlike all the other times that I have captured you, my Squids are now equal to your power and strength, and they could easily take down one of your friends in a battle." Derpollolus turned around and slithered to Jason, who had a badly cracked visor. Jason leaned back once the Squid King approached him, and Derpollolus ran a tentacle over his suit. "This is a very finely crafted suit, Jason Probst, would you mind if I, maybe, take it for a while?" Derpollolus asked evilly, and then with a sickening crack, he used his tentacles and literally ripped off his helmet. Everyone in the room gasped as this happened, as Jason never took off his helmet. He was very sensitive of his real identity, and never wanted people to see who he really was.
Within seconds, the rest of the five Squids lunged for Jason, getting to work on removing his suit. But they did not do it kindly. Ray, who was chained up next to Jason, kicked and lashed out at the Squids trying to stop them from hurting him, and everyone tried desperately to get out of their chains to help him, but nothing worked. After a minute, the Squids backed up, and in place of the Jason that we normally knew was now a young man that was badly hurt and bleeding profusely. Derpollolus held the damaged suit in hand, and he gave all of us a wicked grin. "Thanks for letting me borrow this, you may never get it back. Have fun rotting in jail, Sky and friends." With that, the group of Squids turned and walked out of the room, and the metal door shut behind them. A moment later, all of the chains in the walls pulled back, and everyone crumbled to the ground. I enjoyed the feeling of being relaxed, but I could not be there for long. Pushing myself up with my good arm, I then walked over to Jason, and put a hand on his shoulder.
"Jason, are you OK?" I asked, looking over him in wonder and confusion. I never imagined him to look like that. He looked so bare without his suit on. Jason had short, spiked brown hair, tan skin, and a scar seemed to go over his right eye. A horrible cut was on his forehead, pouring blood freely down his face. Both of his eyes were clenched shut, as if he didn't want us to see them. Jason wore a light blue skin-tight suit that covered his entire body except for his neck and face, and over his hands he wore blue gloves that seemed to join with the suit. This was the same concept for his boots as well.
TrueMU threw his hands out at me, although he seemed to be in pain doing that. "No, I don't want you guys to see me in this state!" He cried out, anguish filling his voice. I glanced to each of my friends, and they all had the same worry on their faces for him as I did.
"Jason, we won't judge you for how you look like. We will love you no matter what, man," Bajan said, kneeling down close to TrueMU. Everyone quickly agreed with what Mitch had said. Jason lowered his arm slowly, as if debating whether or not he should do something. Finally, he seemed to decide on something, and carefully he turned over and turned towards us. TrueMU shifted around carefully, and with his eyes still clenched together, he turned his entire front towards us. A moment later, Jason opened his eyes, and everyone froze in surprise and shock. TrueMU's eyes were very... eccentric. A small, blue, purple and white galaxy seemed to turn in his eyes, a beautiful sight to see. Everyone was stunned by his eyes, and Jason blinked several times in shock.
"Wow, your eyes are beautiful," Sierra muttered, her eyes widened in shock.
Jason pulled back in shock. "You... you guys are not going to judge me by my real identity?" He asked, looking to each of us slowly.
I nodded. "We are your friends, Jason. We are not going to judge you over a small thing like that," I comforted, smiling towards him. TrueMU smiled slightly, and then he brushed his hair quickly away from his forehead.
Right then, Dawn approached me, and she gasped in shock when she saw my broken arm. "Adam, your arm!" She cried out, then kneeling next to me. I sighed as I realized that she was there. My arm was not as bad as it seemed, and Dawn always seemed to over-exaggerate my injuries. Turning to her, I then watched as she began to examine my arm closely.
"It's nothing, Dawn. I have dealt with these all of the time," I said, turning to her and standing up carefully.
Dawn seemed not to be convinced. "Oh, this is horrible. Where is Seto when you need him?" Dawn cried out, quickly ripping off a piece of her sleeve and wrapping it around my injured arm. Once she touched my arm, another wave of pain ripped through my body, and I yelped in pain.
AntVenom walked up to me, and it was then that I realized he had a black eye. "Here, Dawn, I will heal him up for you. Sparklez, can you help me in this real quick? I think the Squids missed my pack of healing equipment, so I can start healing everyone up before we try and get out," Ant said, turning to look at Jordan, who was standing over by Noah and Kermit. Sparklez nodded, and then he moved over to me, and immediately the two of them began to work on my arm.
For about half an hour all I did was sit and wait while Jordan and Ant were healing my broken arm. I winced several times as they applied healing salve to the broken parts, but other than that I did not make much noise. By the end of it, AntVenom took out a large piece of cloth and wrapped it tightly in a bandage. He formed it into a sling, and in when he was done he stepped back and smiled. "There we go! You are all fixed up! You should be as good as new in a couple days. But, for now, you can fight like normal until it heals," Ant said, looking to me quickly. I nodded, and then I adjusted the sling quickly. Glancing around, I looked to each of my friends. Most were just lounging about, either tenderly caring for their wounds or trying to find some way to escape. Others were quietly sitting in silence, their eyes carefully watching the others. I laid my eyes on Sierra, who had chaffed wrists because of the chains. She was standing up, even though everyone else could barely do so, and she was quietly talking with Jerome and Mitch, even though Mitch and Jerome still seemed to be mad at each other. It took every leaderly instinct I had to override my brotherly instincts. I wanted to go over to her and make her sit down, because with how she had survived that attack, she should have been healing and resting not standing up. But, I knew that she was a strong girl. She could take anything, even jumping up on a killing T-Rex to save her friend. Sierra would survive, although she would probably need serious medical attention when this whole ordeal is over.
One person in particular captured my attention. It was Quentin, who was putting his head to the wall where the door was and continually tapping the wall. AntVenom noticed this as well and then the two of us moved up to him, which made him stop whatever he was doing.
"Quentin, what are you doing?" I asked, looking to the Mudkip in confusion.
Husky turned to look at the wall for a minute, and then he looked back to me and Venom. "Sky, I think I found a way to get out of this cell," He said quickly.
Both me and Ant were confused. "How? We are sealed off by thick Lapis blocks with no pick to get out of here, and the only door in this place is a double-lined iron bar door. No way are we ever going to get out of this place unless we blow it up," Ant said, gesturing to the door that stood locked before them.
A small smile appeared on Quentin's lips. "Exactly. See, I have found there is a series of redstone lines in the walls, and if I can get the right one that will activate the TNT blocks that were placed in under the door, we can blow the door sky high and we can get out of here," He said, adjusting his suit jacket quickly.
"Quentin... that is brilliant. I'm glad you are here, because without you here, we would have been stuck in here for forever," I cried out, a smile lighting my lips as well.
"So how do you plan on igniting the TNT from this side?" AntVenom asked, examining the wall quickly.
Husky turned around and tapped the wall quickly in a certain spot. "Well, I'm thinking if we hit the right spot hard enough, that would cause the redstone line to rupture, and if we did it right, it would ignite the TNT and blow the door sky high."
"And can you guarantee that it would work?"
"Trust me, it will work. You are talking to the TNT master here," Quentin said, quickly snapping his fingers soon afterwards (If you got that reference, you will be my best friend forever... maybe :P).
"OK, then get to working your magic, Quentin," I said, grinning to him. Husky nodded, and then he turned around and continued to tap the wall. Turning to Ant, I then said, "Ant, will you stay and make sure Quentin doesn't kill us all? I will go and prep everyone else to go out and fight when we escape this cell." Ant nodded, and then I moved away from them and walked over to Dawn. As I approached my girlfriend, I noticed that she had a thick air of tension around her. She did not appear to be acting like normal.
Wrapping my arms around her waist, I then set my head on her shoulder. "Are you OK, baby?" I asked her, trying to look at her quickly.
Dawn glanced over her shoulder at me, and she sighed. "Yeah, I guess. I mean, we are going through very hard times right now, and now we are stuck in the enemy's territory. I'm just afraid that... well, that we might not get out of this alive to get back to our city and our home," Dawn said, her eyes filled with sadness.
"Trust me, Dawn, we will get home," I then said, smiling softly towards her. She smiled back, and then I gave her a quick kiss. Turning to all of the others, I then said, "Guys, we are going to be breaking out soon."
As I said that, everyone seemed to get excited again and pumped up. "How are we going to be doing that exactly?" Ty asked, looking towards me in confusion.
"Well, Quentin is in the process of blowing up the door, and once that is accomplished, the first thing we have to do is go to the closest location that we know of to get our weapons and our armor back. Once we do that, we have to go and find the Whirlpool Whiplashes, and we have to get out of this place without too many problems," I said, and then everyone nodded.
Right then, we heard Quentin cry out, "Guys, I think I got it!" Not a moment later, a huge explosion made all of us fall to our feet, and a thick cloud of smoke filled into the room. I coughed hard, and I pushed myself up, trying to see through the smoke. Once the smoke cleared, I blinked as I saw a large hole in the wall. Quentin pushed himself up, his suit smudged from the explosion. "See? I got it," Quentin said, smiling slightly.
"Well, looks like you didn't kill anyone. That's good," AntVenom said, laughing soon afterwards.
I turned to the others, and I said, "Well, let's get our weapons back." Everyone smiled, and then, soon afterwards, everyone began running through the hallways. I lead the group, going on my internal instincts on where our weapons were located. We ran through the blue hallways, hitting little to no Squids as we ran through there. If we did hit any Squids, we simply killed them, kicking their bodies to the side so they wouldn't be a problem later on. It did not take us long to get to the right room, and when we got there, we knew it was the room where our weapons were stored.
Glancing into the room, I saw my butter sword on the other wall, and I saw many other weapons as well around there. I quickly examined the door, but realized that it was locked as well. Turning to Quentin, I then said, "Do your thing, TNT Master." Quentin smiled, and then he quickly pulled out a small thing of TNT that he had gathered in the remnants of the cell explosion. Placing it down against the door, he then placed a lever next to it, and then he turned to all of us quickly.
"Stand back, everyone. This might get a little deadly," He said, and then he flipped the lever. Everyone ran back as quickly as they could before the explosion happened, and when it did, the wall caved in, and the door disappeared quickly. I ran through the smoke and into the room, and I quickly found my sword, as it was glowing a radiant yellow color. Throwing my armor on as quickly as I could, I then helped everyone else get ready with their armor by throwing it to them. We got completely ready with our gear in less than a minute. It was quite impressive for us. Jason threw on his jetpack which was the only thing that survived from his suit, and then everyone else threw on their armor. Jason, as he normally had his suit, never got armor.
I turned to AntVenom, who had knelt to access the computer network that was running through the castle. "Do you have the map yet and where Jen and Seto may be located?" I asked, turning in place to make sure that no Squids decided to come in and attack us.
A moment later, Ant stood up, and he nodded. "I know where they are, let's get going quickly." He took the lead, and we all ran behind him and through the hallways. This time around as we ran, dozens of Squids tried to intercept our path, but they were quickly taken down by Ray and Sierra, who were right behind Ant and jumping ahead to kill the Squids before they reached us. Dozens of hallways we passed through, and it seemed like we would never find the hallway that held Seto and Jen.
"Hold on, guys, here it is," Ant said, slowing down in front of a specific door. We all stopped behind him, and I approached the door. This time, the door didn't need to be blown up. It slid right open, and I quickly ran in, entering the dark room.
"Jen, Seto? Are you guys here?" I asked carefully, looking around the dark room. Only glowstone lit up the room, which made it kinda of hard to see. All of a sudden, I saw many forms run up to the fronts of the cells, and it didn't take me long to realize the ones to the left of me were Jen and Seto.
"Sky, is that you? Oh, thank Notch you are here!" I heard Jen's voice exclaim, and I ran up to the cell and grasped onto it. Jen and Seto were on the other side, both grasping onto the bars as well. Seto had a thick bandage wrapped around his chest and torso, and I didn't have the time to question him about the wrapping.
"I'm going to get you guys out of here," I said, then pulling at the door. It wouldn't budge, so I pulled out my butter sword, and sliced cleanly through the iron. The door easily opened, and Jen threw herself on me in a huge hug. I was shocked by that action, because she never hugged me ever. Once she released herself from me, I then turned around, and I froze when I recognized three people in the cell opposite of Jen and Seto's cell. "Bonk, James, Lion? What in the Nether are you guys doing here?" I asked, looking towards my three old friends in shock.
"We could ask you the same question, but we don't have time right now. Get us out of here so we can escape," Blue Monkey then said. I nodded, and then I sliced at their iron door as well. I did the same with the other cage that had prisoners in, which had three young girls in it.
"Come on, let's just get out of here and get to where the Whirlpool Whiplashes are," I then said, turning around and running back out of the dungeons. The group of Minecrafters followed closely behind me behind me, and when the rest of my friends saw the prisoners, they all became happy.
"Jen!" Sierra exclaimed, throwing herself on one of her best friends and engulfing her in a huge hug. The two girls shared a hug, and only released each other when I pulled at Sierra's shoulder.
"So, who are you guys?" Jerome asked, looking quickly to the three new girls.
The one with the orange hair stepped forward. "I am Cliff, this is Eme, and this is Mallory," She said, gesturing to each person when she named them. We all nodded, and then I looked to each of my friends quickly.
"Come on, let's get going and try to find the Whirlpool Whiplashes now," I said, but before I could turn around, I heard a whiz go by my ear, and a moment later, an arrow impaled into the wall. Turning around quickly, I then stared at the large group of Squids that was approaching us. At the front of the group stood about six Squid Archers, each one holding a loaded bow. Behind them stood about twenty other types of Mutant Squids, each one prepped for fighting. "Watch out!" I cried out, pulling out my sword quickly. Everyone else pulled out their weapons as well, and within seconds everyone charged forward towards the Squids. I charged forward towards the Squids, and swiftly blocked the arrows that were launched towards me from the archers. My blade sunk into the body of the closest Squid, and the creature let out a cry of pain before it collapsed on to the ground dead.
"Heads up, Exploding Squids incoming!" I heard Ian cry out, and I turned in place and saw a flood of Exploding Squids pouring down the hallway we had come from. I stanced myself to fight, but not even a moment later, Ryan ran forwards and tackled me to the ground.
"Get out of here, Sky!" Ryan exclaimed, and then he turned to the Exploding Squids. "Come and get some, you filthy pieces of sh-" Ryan started to say, but at that moment, the first three Squids exploded, sending Ryan flying in the opposite direction. But I couldn't do anything about it. Pushing myself up, I then charged through the pile of dead Squid bodies, running towards my friends. Mallory ran opposite of me, running right to Ryan.
"No, Mallory!" I exclaimed, turning around and beginning to run towards her. Quentin, Mitch, Jerome and Eme began to run towards her as well, but before any of us could reach the two of them, the other Exploding Squids threw out TNT towards them, and then in a cloud of fire the two Minecraftians were enveloped and disintegrated. All of us froze in shock. When the explosion subsided, all we saw of their remains were scorched bits of their bodies. Eme began to cry, and she wanted so badly to charge forward and get to them, but Mitch held her back. "Come on, let's get out of here!" I yelled, and we all turned and ran away. Anger filled my body. One of my closest friends just died before my eyes, and I had a feeling that he wouldn't be coming back to life. The Squids would pay for everything they did, even if it took my life to avenge those whose lives were lost for me.
Quentin's POV-
We hurtled down the hallways, jumping over the bodies of Squids that we had defeated. The image of Mallory and Ryan's dead bodies stuck to my mind, and nothing I could do could remove that image. It devastated me. It obviously did for the others as well.
Sky turned to all of us, and he glanced to each of us as we caught our breaths. "Guys, we have to find the Whirlpool Whiplashes now. We cannot push it off anymore. We only managed to barely distract the Mutant Squids because Ryan and Mal gave their lives for us. They will be here at any moment. That is our main priority right now," Sky said, connecting gazes with each of us. We all nodded, and then we turned and made our way opposite the way where the prison was, heading deeper into the mysterious Squid Castle.
As we continued to run through the halls, we saw groups of hybrid Squids heading our way. All were armored in blue, shining armor and wielding swords. I saw Adam wield the Rugged Rapier and run towards the enemies in a fury, his eyes glowing brightly from behind his sunglasses. His fast swipes with the weapon are quick, slicing the Squids' bodies in half. Even though he was only fighting with his right hand, he was doing some deadly damage. It was gruesome and hard to look at, but we kept pushing on as they fell to the floor.
After Adam defeated more than several dozens groups of hybrid Squids, we took a turn near a hallway and reached a large room. It was completely made up of Lapis Lazuli, glowstone hung from above the ceiling, and quartz pillars stood in two rows on each side of the room. And at the very end, sitting on top of a stone pedestal... was the Whirlpool Whiplashes, a pair of blue-glowing lashes, handles made out of gold and long strips of leather held tightly together. At the very tips there were small blades, and overall it looked very lethal.
"I'll get it," I said to everyone, then running towards the pedestal in a hurry. Suddenly, I heard a loud crash above me. I backed away quickly as a large body landed just inches from where I was standing. Towering over me was none other than Derpollolus himself. He glared down at me with red eyes, which were burning with pure hatred for us getting this far in his castle. I tried to back away, but he swung one of his large tentacles over his shoulder and struck me right in the chest. I was launched far away from him, landing hard on my back.
As I was recovering from the hit, I heard someone running up to me and I looked over to see Vengelfe standing next to me. "Are you okay, Quentin?" She asked me.
I grunted in pain as I struggled to my feet, then I answered, "I'm fine."
Looking over my shoulder, I see everyone bravely standing their ground while Mitch, Bash, Adam, Dawn, and Ian wield their weapons in front of them. Each gem that was embedded deep in the weapons seem to glow brightly, as if they were all connected or something. I look towards and watch as Derpollolus raised both of his main tentacles and slam them hard into the floor. Cracks appeared where his tentacles hit and start to spread towards us. I looked down near my feet as the floor started to come apart and break off completely from each other, revealing a pit of lava beneath us.
"Lava?! How can there be lava here when we're surrounded by water?" I heard Jerome exclaim.
Adam states, "No time! Everyone get to the other side!" Each of us leapt over the forming gap in the floor, Derpollolus slithers over to the other part of the floor. Once everyone was across, I watched as the cracks started to go towards the whiplashes. I gasped; I couldn't let those weapons burn up in the lava.
Risking everything, I leapt across the forming cracks and towards the weapons. Then, I heard Derpollolus shout, "Oh, no, you don't!" I quickly glanced over as he slammed his entire body into the first pillar. The pillar broke from the top and toppled over, hitting the other pillar and it continued on like a domino effect. I dodged out of the way as one of the pillars nearly crushed me. I resumed running to the weapons, hearing more pillars break and fall over. When I got within reach of the whiplashes, I lunged forward as the last pillar fell in the last place I was at. I grasped the whiplashes tightly in my hands.
"I got them!" I exclaimed, but not a moment later, I felt something tightly grasp over my neck. I was lifted into the air, but I still held the weapons in my hands. I flailed my legs around to escape, but it didn't do anything and I met face-to-face with the Squid King.
"Big whoop, you got the whiplashes, but I got you," Derpollolus teased at me. I growl at him as I raise one of the whiplashes and hit the handle against his tentacle, but he doesn't seem to feel it.
"Go ahead and keep doing that. It isn't gonna save you from what I'm going to do with you," Derpollolus stated to me in a menacing tone. He slithered over to the large crack in the floor that exposed the lava pit and raised me over it. I gasped in fear, knowing immediately what he was planning to do.
I glanced over and see everyone standing helplessly on the part of the floor. Then, I see Vengelfe walking towards the very edge of the floor and yell to Derpollolus, "LET HIM GO!"
"Oh, I'll let him go, alright... into the lava," Derpollolus threatened, then raising me up to his face. "I would say it was nice knowing you, but in reality, it wasn't."
I smirked as I formed an idea in my head and state, "Well, it was nice... whipping you!" I manage to lift on of my arms up and swing one of the whiplashes towards the King of Squids. The small blades slice across his face, making him screech in pain. He wrapped his other tentacle on his face as he violently released me from his grasp. I slammed against the wall and fall over, groaning as I felt torrents of pain erupting from my back.
I glanced up as I saw Jason take off from the other side using his jetpack and landing next to me. He grasped my arm and helped me to my feet. "Don't worry, dude, I got you." I smiled weakly at him, but gasped when I saw Derpollolus glare at us, his eyes slightly bleeding from the cuts across his face. He leaned his head all the way back and screeched again, almost like an animalistic type of scream. I looked towards the ceiling as Squids started walking out of the cracks. But these Squids weren't anything that I normally saw them. Some of the Squids were bigger in size and had the form of some type of four-legged creature, rows of teeth and a pair of red-purplish eyes and some wore a Wither Skeleton head over their heads, their eyes were nothing but black holes and their tentacles had sharp tips.
I glanced at Derpollolus as he stated, "Well, they're nothing too special... just a couple of Predator and Wither Squids who have suffered from mutations, but have become stronger and deadlier than before!"
All of a sudden, the Predator Squids started to crawl towards us. It was freaky to see them move on all fours, as if something out of a horror movie. But Jason and I stood our ground. Jason took off using his jetpack and zooms through a pack of Predator Squids, knocking them off the cracked floor and into the lava. The Wither Squids slithered towards me, pointing their sharpen tentacles at me, ready to puncture.
I felt a wave of powerful currents go through my body as I readied the whips in my hands. Then, I ran towards the Squids. I cracked one of the whips at one Squid, watching in amazement as it went clean through the Squids' body. I swung the whips quickly. The Wither Squids leapt towards me, but were sliced in half by the whips. After I seem to kill them all off, I see their bodies disappear in dust of dark clouds. I glanced over and see Jason defeating one last Predator Squid, but saw as Derpollolus appears right behind him, wielding a pair of one-foot long sharp swords.
"JASON, BEHIND YOU!" Dawn shouted from the other side. The once-spaceman looked towards her, then darted his eyesight behind himself, but he is met by a blade. I watched in shock as the blade sliced across his back, knocking him to the ground. I stared as Jason tried to get away, but Derpollolus swung his swords again. Each swipe made another deadly cut on his body. Then, the Squid King delivered a punch in his chest. I see Jason fly away from him and crash into the wall, then collapse onto the floor.
I had never seen Jason in that much pain. As he never took off his suit, he never actually took physical damage. I cringed in pain as I saw the deep wounds that Derpollolus had given him. Slowly, he lifted his head up and stared at me, his eyes swirling slower than normal. "Please... save us... Quentin," Jason weakly stuttered out, and then he rests his head down on the floor.
I turned away from him and glared as Derpollolus laughed evilly, swiping his swords into the air to show off. I gripped the whiplashes tighter in my hand. Nobody hurts my friend and gets away with it... not even a Squid. Then, suddenly, I glanced at the whiplashes and watched as they started to light up, responding to something, but I didn't know what it was.
Mitch's POV-
The others and I watched from the other side of the floor as Quentin stared down at Derpollolus after he had hurt Jason. Jason landed a short distance away from where he was and was laying there in pain, struggling to lift himself up. Then, I stared in awe as the whiplashes that Quentin held started to light up. He looks down at them, then slightly backs away as two streams of some type of blue magic started to lit from the whiplashes and begin to twirl around him.
Then, I feel a odd sensation from the Devious Dagger. I looked at it as it started to light up as well, shaking slightly in my grasp. I look over and see the other weapons doing the same thing.
"It's okay, Poisonous Sword. I'm scared as well," Bash stated towards his sword, gently patting the handle.
"No, Bash. The weapons aren't shaking because of fear. I think... I think they're reacting to something near us," I explained. All of a sudden, my dagger shot out a beam of energy, and the others did the same as well. The beams glide across the severed floor and surround the Mudkip. The Squid King seem to back away as the Mudkip is lifted into the air by the beams. He seemed to grasp his head in pain, then begins to yell and gets cut-off as the light engulfs him completely.
"What are we doing to him?!" Ian asked, trying to point his Sabers away, but they point out forward like a magnet.
"I don't know! The weapons won't stop!" I yelled back, trying to pull my dagger back. Then, after a few moments pass, the beams retracted and disappear from our weapons. Everyone fell back, tired from trying to keep their weapons in place for so long. I gazed upward and gasped as I saw Husky floating in mid-air, but he was wearing full dark-bluish armor, pointed ends near his boots and gloves, and a knight helmet that shielded his entire face. He swung his whips, making a sharp sound with each one he did.
"What the heck happened?" Adam asked, gazing at the suited Mudkip.
"I don't know. He looks... more stronger than he did before," I replied.
I glanced at Derpollolus as he backed away and exclaimed, "No... No! You can't be! None of you can be! Not one of you could possibly have enough power to wield the weapons! It's impossible!"
"It isn't impossible for me," I heard Quentin reply, his voice having a deeper version of it overlapping his normal voice.
Derpollolus glares at Husky and replies, "No matter. I'll just kill you like I did with the former wielder of the Whirlpool Whiplashes."
I see Adam run up to the edge of the floor and shout, "Think again, Derpollous. Husky is lucky that he has friends like us!"
"Yeah! I may call him a fish now and then, but we're still friends!" I exclaimed.
Derpollolus chuckled in amusement about something, then he said, "Friendship... do you all really think it will get you out of your predicament?"
"We don't think so... we know so," Jerome stated, walking up to me. I smiled towards him, but he looked at me for a split second before turning his gaze back at Derpollolus. I guess he was still mad at me for getting close with Sierra.
Derpollolus then said, "Well, then... show me what you can do, if anything, that is."
He swings one of his swords back and throws it towards Husky. The Mudkip raised his whiplash back and whips it, grabbing the metal blade of the sword. He flings the sword away, then levitates towards still-standing parts of the floor. Derpollolus gapes, then uses his other sword and tries to strike the Mudkip, but he grabs it using the whip. With force, he takes the sword out of his tentacle, flinging it somewhere in the room.
"Fine, then. I don't need my weapons to defend me. I'll just attack you myself," Derpollolus threatened and raised both of his tentacles over the Mudkip. Husky backed away and launched both of his whiplashes at the Squid, trapping both of his tentacles. The Squid King tried to move away, but Husky yanked him back with such power. All of a sudden, the water that was flowing through the walls burst from where they were and flooded towards Quentin quickly. The water surrounded Derpollolus in a torrent of a storm, and it didn't take me long to realize that it had become a giant whirlpool. Within seconds, the powerful whirlpool died off, and in that instance, Derpollolus stood exhausted because of the torrents that had ripped at his body.
He looked over at us and yelled, "Guys, attack him now!"
Immediately, we all ran toward the Squid and attack, slashing our weapons against Derpollolus. He screamed in pain, trying to free his tentacles from the whips. The more we attacked, the more weaker we seemed to make him. Then, he managed to raise both of his tentacles and flings Husky across the room, but he lands safety on his feet. I backed away quickly as Derpollolus slammed his tentacles again, trying to hit any one of us. But his swings and misses were slowly getting weaker, and I begin to see drops of his blood stain the floor.
"I gotta... I need to get out of here," he stuttered out weakly, then started slithering to another entrance of the room. We all watched as the Squid King crawled out of the room.
A moment later, I saw Adam walk to the entrance before turning to us. "I'm not letting him get away. Everyone, stay here!" And with that, he took off after the Squid.
"Yeah, get him, Sky!" I exclaimed, smiling towards him.
Just then, I see Dave step out of the crowd and shout, "Sky, wait!" He took off after Adam, Murphy and Aqueous take a few steps away from us before glancing at each other. I couldn't help but... suspect something about the trio.
Dave's POV-
How could I have been so stupid!? I should have something to stop the Minecrafters, but I couldn't reveal my true identity to them, nor I couldn't let Derpollolus know who I really was. Instead, I stood back like a fool and watched them brutally attack my leader and now, the good-for-nothing Butter God is after him. I ran through the halls, finding my way using the faint footsteps from Sky.
I took a sharp left and run down the hallway to a pair of doors. When I opened them, I saw an empty room that led to the left side where the front of the castle was. When I reached the door, I carefully navigated myself across the short passageway that ended near the castle. When I reached the very edge, I peer from behind a pillar as I saw my leader, collapsing over in pain as he crawled near the very edge where the castle ended.
He coughed violently as he rolled onto his stomach. Then, I heard a weird sound emitting from above me. I glanced towards the welkin and watched as a figure descended from the dark clouds and levitated a few block away from Derpollolus. My leader gazed at him and weakly begged, "Herobrine... he-help me..."
The Nether god only chuckled evilly, then he stepped forward and replied, "I am not going to help you, Derpollolus."
Derpollolus gaped in shock, hearing this from the Nether demon. Then, he gasped out, "How... Why... would you... do this?! I... I helped you... become the... God of... Minecraftia."
Herobrine only explained, "Sky Fisher was the one who injured you like that, not me. Although I would have loved to do that myself. Our deal is off, Derpollolus! Now that I am the God of Minecraftia, I can what I want when I want! Not even a stupid Squid like you can stop me now!"
And with that, he took off into the air and flew away. I hear my leader shout something, but it couldn't make it out on what it was. Once again, he falls to the ground. I could only watch in helplessness as my leader rolled around in agony.
"Derpollolus..." I whispered, clutching my hand into a fist. I see my leader roll his head over, seeing me standing there.
"Who... who are you?!" he manage to ask, clutching his bleeding wounds.
"... I'm the guy who you treated like crap, but is still loyal to you," I answered back.
"D... D... Derp?" He asked in shock. I only nodded. He stayed silent for a moment, then stated, "I... I can't even begin to... question how... or why... you are a human, but... avenge me."
"And I shall," I eagerly agreed. Then, not a moment sooner, I hid back quickly as I saw the Butter God himself appear from the entrance, a butter sword wielded in his working hand. My leader tried to crawl away, but he had no energy left in him. The Butter God leapt on to Derpollolus's chest and aim the sword right of his chest.
"This is for destroying my city... for destroying my friends and my home!" Adam exclaimed. He thrust the sword into his chest. Derpollolus gave out a pained scream and tried to escape, but the blade was buried into his chest, nearly ending near the hilt. He struggled for a bit, then... his limbs finally went limp and his body went rigid. I gaped in shock, watching as the Butter God slowly took his sword out, the blade dripping with my leader's blood. He had killed my royal Master, Herobrine had left him to meet his demise, and now... it was up to me and my brothers to avenge my leader's death... by killing Sky.
