chapter 23: Between two fires
Claire opens her eyes and sees Klaus staring at her, he was sitting at the end of the bed. Klaus smiles and says:"Goodmorning sweetheart." Claire smiles and says:"Goodmorning Klaus, did you sleep well?" Klaus noddes and says:"Yes i slept well, cause you're finaly back." Claire sits beside him and says:"I missed you Klaus." Klaus smiles and kisses Claire on her forehead, she chuckles and says:"Where are we?" Klaus puts his hand on her cheek and says:"We're at the Mikaelsons house, Actually it's Kol's house." Claire smiles and says:"So Kol is also here?" Klaus noddes and Claire stands up, she looks at Klaus and holds his hand.
He stands up and they walk downstairs, while still holding hands. Claire sees Kol teasing Rebekah, Enzo sees Claire and says:"Our princess is finally back." Claire smiles and says:"I missed you Enzo." Claire hugs Enzo, he smiles and says:"I can see you're glued to Klaus." Claire lifts an eyebrow and says:"What do you mean?" Kol grins and says:"You're hugging Enzo, but you're still holding Klaus's hand." Claire looks at her hand and chuckles, she sighs and says:"Well Enzo you're right...I'm gonna stick to Klaus the whole day." Klaus smiles and his dimples are showing, Rebekah grins and says:"You're doing it again Klaus, showing that cute side of yours."
Klaus rolls his eyes and Claire says:"Well how have you all been, these days?" Rebekah looks at Claire and says:"I'm good." Kol grins and says:"Rebekah is good, cause she's hanging out with Enzo." Claire smiles and says:"That's great!" Enzo smiles and Rebekah says:"So any plans for today Claire?" Claire noddes and says:"I wanna spend some time with Klaus." Klaus smiles and says:"So that means, Don't call me or disturb me Rebekah." Rebekah rolls her eyes and says:"Yeah, yeah, I understand. I just wanna talk to Claire for a second." Claire noddes and let go of Klaus's hand, Klaus go's and sits on a chair.
Claire leaves the livingroom together with Rebekah, they both walk upstairs. When they enter Rebekah's room, Claire closes her eyes and whispers a few words. She then opens her eyes and says:"Say what you wanna say, I did a spell on this room. No one can hear us, beside you and me." Rebekah sits on her bed and says:"Okay, first of all. I totally have a crush on Enzo." Claire grins and says:"I'm glad to hear that, allthought I was expecting that. Enzo is a hot guy, and I knew he's your type." Rebekah chuckles and says:"Thank you for bringing him here." Claire leans against the wall and says:"Anything for you Bekah."
Rebekah smiles and says:"Second thing and the most important thing." Claire smiles and says:"Continue, I wanna hear what you have to say." Rebekah sighs and says:"Why did you come with Nik? I thought you where going to Damon." Claire sighs and says:"I don't know, maybe because Klaus is the one I have been with for 100years now." Rebekah noddes and says:"That's what I also thought, what about Damon?" Claire go's and lays down on Rebekah's bed, she then says:"Rebekah, I love Klaus and Damon. But I really don't know what to do, The problem is me. I can't choose, so I'm hurting both of them." Rebekah looks sad and says:"Don't worry Claire, One day you'll know who you love the most."
Claire puts her hand on her forehead and says:"When will that day come? I don't want them to hate me, because I couldn't choose." Rebekah looks at Claire, she sees that tears are falling down her cheeks. Rebekah pats Claire on her head and says:"Nik will never hate you, I'm sure of that. Even thought I don't know Damon, I'm sure he will never hate you. These guys are suckers for you." Claire chuckles and wippes her tears away, Rebekah smiles and says:"That's the Claire I know, always smilling no matter what happens." Claire hugs Rebekah and says:"Thank you Bekah, No one can make me smile after I cried lik you do. You're my best friend."
Rebekah looks shocked and says:"I didn't know, I was your best friend? Kol will kill me Iff he heard that." Claire grins and says:"You and Kol are my best friends, Elijah is my big bro and Klaus... well he's the one I love." Rebekah grins and says:"You're also a sucker for those guys, You can't stop thinking or talking about them for a second." Claire sighs, she then smiles and says:"I know that, You're gonna be the same as me Once you're a couple with Enzo." Rebekah shakes her head and says:"I will never be like you." Claire chuckles and Rebekah says:"Let's go downstairs, You can talk to Klaus." Claire noddes and they both leave the room.
Claire walks downstairs and sees Klaus talking to Elijah, Claire walks towards Elijah and says:"Elijah, how have you been?" He smiles and says:"I'm fine thank you Claire, How have you been? I hope Niklaus was behaving himself, while I was away." Claire chuckles and Klaus rolls his eyes, he then looks at Claire and says:"Let's go have dinner." Claire noddes and Klaus stands up from the couch. He grabs Claire's hand and says to Elijah:"Don't wait for us, and Rebekah don't trow a party her. Unless you want me to, get mad like before." Rebekah sighs and says:"Nik, I always have to do what you say. Whatever, just go. I won't do anything, I'm just gonna read a book or something." She then walks mad away, Rebekah looks at Claire and winks at her. Claire grins and winks back.
After awhile...
Claire smiles and looks at Klaus, He grins and says:"You've been staring at me for the past 2hours." Claire sighs and says:"Well I've missed you, that's why I'm staring at you." Klaus smiles and holds Claire's hand, she smiles and says:"Let's order some ice cream." Klaus noddes and orders two cups of ice cream, The waiter brings the ice cream cups, Claire starts eating her Strawberry ice cream. Klaus grins and says:"You still love strawberries, You never change." Claire smiles and says:"Yup, I love strawberries alot. And you're still eating vanilla ice cream." Klaus chuckles and says:"Yeah, we both never change. Let's go for a walk, when you're done eating ice cream." Claire noddes and eats her ice cream further, when she's done they both leave the restaurant whil holding hands.
Meanwhile Damon was laying on a couch, Damon sighs and says:"What do you want Stefan?" Stefan smiles and says:"Are you planning on laying there the whole day?" Damon looks at Stefan and says:"I'm tired, don't bother me." Stefan sighs and says:"You're upset cause Claire, went to Klaus and not to you." Damon sits straight and says:"Shut up Stefan, you don't know anything." Stefan sighs again and says:"I can see it in your eyes Damon, you're hurt." Damon looks mad at Stefan and says:"You better shut your mouth, and leave me alone. Cause I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone." Stefan leans against the wall and says:" Look Damon, I don't wanna see you getting hurt again. Claire is a friend of mine, but still I won't like it iff she hurts you. You're still my brother." Damon sighs and says:"Don't worry about me, just live your life with Elena. I can handle this myself."
Stefan sighs and pours two glasses full of Bourbon, he gives one to Damon. Damon drinks it at once, He then stands up and says:"I'm gonna go out for a walk." Stefan noddes and says:"See you later Brother." Damon leaves the house and Stefan takes a mouthfull of Bourbon. He then grabs his cellphone and calls Claire.
She answers her phone:"Hey Stefan, How are you?"
Stefan smiles and says:"I'm good, where are you?"
Claire says:"I'm walking around with Klaus, and you? How's Damon?"
Stefan sighs and says:"He's allright, I just wanna talk to you about him."
Claire says:"Where are you?"
Stefan says:"I'm home."
Claire looks at Klaus and says:"I'll be there in a few minutes, I'll call you when I'm on my way."
Stefan smiles and says:Okay, see you in awhile."
Claire ends the call and look at Klaus, he smiles and says:"I know you're worrying about him, go see Stefan. I have something to do." Claire sighs and hugs Klaus, he hugs her back and Claire says:"Thank you for understanding me, I love you Klaus." He smiles and says:"I love you too Claire." She smiles and go's with vampspeed to The Salvatore mansion. Once she arrives there, Claire opens the door and enters the house. Claire smiles when she sees Stefan, he smiles and says:"You came." Claire noddes and says:"Off course, I came. Why wouldn't I?" Stefan sighs and sits on a chair, He looks sad and says:"Claire, I wanna talk to you about Damon." Claire sits on a chair and says with a worried look on her face:"Did something happen to him?" Stefan says:"No, but I'm worried that he's going to be his old self again."
Claire looks sad and says:"It's because of me, I know that. I also don't know why I asked about Klaus first." Stefan sighs and says:"I don't wanna hurt you claire, but you really need to choose between Klaus or Damon." Stefan stands up and fills two glasses with Bourbon, he gives one to Claire. She holds the glass in her hand, and Stefan says while sitting back on his chair:"I don't wanna see Damon turning into the monster he was years ago. I hope you understand what I mean." Claire noddes and says:"Iff being with Klaus hurts Damon, and Being with Damon hurts Klaus... Then what am I supposed to do." Stefan sighs again and Claire drinks her glass at once.
She stands up and says:"There's only one thing I can do, without hurting Damon or Klaus." Stefan looks at Claire and she says:"I have to leave both of them, I will start to concentrate on the feelings I have for them. I won't talk nor see them, till I know who I love more." Stefan stands up and says:"Claire, but then you're going to be suffering." Claire smiles and says:"Better that I'm suffering, then them. I'll tell them that I wanna concentrate on my work. I'll start working at Jeremy's high school." Stefan hugs Claire and says:"You're a very good person, I don't know how to thank you." Claire smiles and says:"Yes you can, by taking care of Damon." Claire sighs and says:"But i will stay with them for a week, then I'll go and live in my own house." Stefan noddes and sighs.
On that second Damon was standing outside the Salvatore house. He heard everything Claire said to Stefan. Damon looks sad, but then he sighs and enters his house. He looks at Stefan and says:"Give me a glass of Bourbon, I need it." Claire looks very happy to see Damon, she walks to him. He looks at her and smiles, Claire hugs him and says:"I missed you so much Damon." Damon hugs her back and says:"Same here, I missed you too." Claire looks at Damon and says:"I'm sorry that I went to Klaus, I know I also had to come to see you." Damon puts his finger on Claire's lips and says:"It doesn't matter anymore, I'm just glad you're back."
Claire smiles and kisses Damon, he kisses her back. Stefan pretends that he's busy on his cellphone. Damon looks at Claire and says:"Let's get something to drink." Claire noddes and sits on a chair, Damon fills a glass full of Bourbon and says to Stefan:"Elena called me, she asked iff you wanna help her out. Jeremy had a fight at school again, I already spoke to his teacher. But she simply says that the way Jeremy is living, is bad for himself." Stefan sighs and says:"What should I do?" Claire looks at Stefan and says:"I have an Idea, I'm gonna start working at Jeremy's high school tomorrow. So I'm also gonna talk to his teachers, and the prinicipal. And off course, I'm gonna have a private chat with Jeremy." Stefan smiles and says:"You're my savior."
Claire grins and says:"But you're gonna talk to him first. Tell him that I'm gonna go to his school." Stefan noddes and says:"Well then, I'm gonna go see Elena. See you two later." Claire smiles and Damon holds his thumb up. Stefan leaves the house, and Damon immediately turns to Claire. She smiles and says:"Why are you looking at me like that?" Damon smirks and says:"Cause I missed you badly." Claire chuckles and Damon kisses her, she kisses him back. Damon then kisses Claire on her neck, Claire chuckles and Kisses Damon on his lips. They where both laying beside each other on the sofa, while kissing. On that second Jeremy, Matt, Bonnie, Caroline and Tyler enter the Salvatore house. Claire and Damon didn't even notice that they where there. They kept kissing each other, till Jeremy coughs loudly.
Claire looks at Damon, He grins and says:"What do you guys want from us?" Claire sits straight and says:"Hey guys, how are you all?" Caroline smiles and says:"We're good, we came to see how you're doing. But i see you're doing great." Claire smiles and Tyler says:"Damon, could you please tell this idiot, to stop fighting at school?" Damon looks at Jeremy, he sighs and says:"Jeremy sit down, I wanna talk to you. Elena told me you fought at school." Claire looks at Jeremy and says:"Why where you fighting?" Jeremy sighs and says:"Cause some idiots kept saying stuff about my parents." Claire noddes and says:"I understand you, i also used to beat people iff they insut my parents." Jeremy grins and Claire winks him. Stefan was leaning against the wall, he shakes his head and says:"I thought you would teach him to stop fighting."
Claire grins and looks at Stefan, she says:"Well, I understand him. The only thing i could tell him to do, is go talk to to his english teacher." Jeremy lifts an eyebrow and says:"What? My english teacher is an ass, Mr. Anderson doesn't care about anything but American history. He's not even a history teacher." Claire and the others laugh, Damon grins and says:"I never saw that teacher before." Claire smiles and says:"Well Mr. Anderson went to work in Los Angeles, You're gonna have a new teacher." Claire looks at Stefan, and says:"You didn't tell him anything did you?" Stefan shakes his head and says:"Nope, that's your job." Claire sighs and says:"Well Jeremy, I'm gonna be your new english teacher."
Jeremy smiles widely and says:"Yeah, that's cool!" Claire chuckles and says:"I'm glad you like the Idea of me being your teacher." Jeremy grins and says:"LIke? It's more like Love it!" Tyler shakes his head and says:'Now we only have to hope, that You'll get some good grades. Cause men, you suck at studying." Jeremy sighs and Claire says:"I'll help you, actually everyone here will help you." Elena hugs Claire and says:"Thank you Claire." Claire hugs Elena back and says:"The pleasure is all mine Elena." Claire looks at Jeremy and says:"I'll give you extra lessons at home." Jeremy noddes and Claire says:"Now give your teacher a high five." Jeremy grins and gives Claire a high five.
Finally! I finished writing this chapter :D I'm so damn happy :P ehheh lol
