Hey guys, Ninja here! And KittyJen! Today we bring to you yet another chapter for Menaces of Minecraft! Now this chapter has been a little bit harder to write, since we had to make our own little parody that you guys will eventually read, but it was worth it. We also have something important to announce, but that will be at the end. You guys will have to wait until then to find out what the announcement is about. So enjoy reading this chapter!
Mitch's POV-
My body felt as if it were being ripped out from the inside. That was one of the most uncomfortable feelings that I have ever felt. It was also one that I had never experienced before. I screamed, but no sound came out. The feeling that I felt was... not describable. It was pure pain, it was pure torture.
That is what I felt when we entered the Nether. I went in after all of my friends went through, and our scenery turned quickly from the underground to the bright orange hell that was well-known by all of us. But... there was something different about the Nether as we looked around. There were Nether fortresses everywhere, built high above the pools of lava with pillars made of Nether Bricks supported the structures above the hot lava. "My Notch... what has Herobrine done to this place?" I exclaimed, taking a few cautious steps forward and looking around in surprise and shock.
Sierra ran up beside me and said, "Looks like he turned half of this dimension into a prison."
After a few moments, Adam walked up and stood beside Sierra. He looked over to me and the others, and stated in determination, "But... this is going to be it. We're going after the final weapon that we need to stop this madman of a god once and for all. He is going to pay for everything that he has done to stop us, to slow us down."
I nodded quietly to Adam, but I couldn't help but notice his amulet glow a few shades of gold mixed with red for a split moment before dimming to a dull glow. "What was that?" I thought to myself, but I quickly shook myself from my thoughts. Now wasn't the time.
"But first things first, let's go and free the others from the prison," Sky said, taking out his Ragged Rapier. Sierra and I nodded quickly, immediately being reminded of our friends who got captured by the Nether mobs a few minutes ago.
Me, Sierra, Sky, Brice, and Jen turn the other way and begin to make our way towards one of the Nether Brick prisons when we heard a shout go out behind us. "Freeze!"
Instantly, we froze and looked over our shoulders. We easily saw a group of Squid Hybrids running after us, one of them having a humanoid-shaped body. We gasped as we all faced the group, but out of the corner of my eye, I saw another group of Squid Hybrids appearing through holes in the Netherrack bricks that made up the land we were currently standing on top of. Before any of us knew it, we were surrounded in a split second by Hybrid Squids, each of them holding a weapon of their choice at us.
Adam crouched into a fighting position, and the rest of us followed his lead. Once again, I saw that his amulet had changed colors, and Adam's eyes turned to the evil white color that showed his corrupted side. "Is there a problem, officer?" Adam hissed, gripping so tightly onto the Rugged Rapier that his knuckles turned white. I took out my Devious Dagger, the power of the weapon filling me as soon as I touched it. Jen and Sierra took out their respective weapons, and Brice took out his slightly damaged bow, quickly notching an arrow into shooting position. We all formed our own little circle, and I quickly found myself with my shoulders touching Brice and Jen's shoulders. But that didn't bother me.
The humanoid Squid stepped forward, his whole body resembling exactly like Adam's body. The only thing that distinguished the Squid from Adam was that he didn't have hair, he had dark blue skin, and his arms and legs were still tentacles. But he had the triangle shape, the same bone structure, and the face like a human. It was very strange and yet creepy to see. He sneered at Adam's comment, and then he said, "We have orders to capture you and take you into custody. If you were to resist we have orders to do what we want with you except to kill you."
Sky grinned evilly, and then he sarcastically said, "Oh, now that isn't very nice. It would be better for you to either kill us or let us escape from here." I turned to him, a confused look on my face. What in the Nether was he doing?
The Squid growled, and then he said, "Enough of your sarcastic remarks. Squids, capture them!" Immediately, without real warning, the other Squids closed their circle, and they fell upon us quickly. I barely had time to register what was going on when the first Squid slammed into me. I wasn't very agile in quick movement to get out of the way of something barreling towards me at quick speeds, so when the Squid rammed into me, I fell to the ground. The Squid, which I quickly learned was a female one (don't ask how I knew, it's scarring even now for me to think of that moment), fell with me, and quickly wrapped her long tentacles around me. My arms got trapped to my body, and with a quick swipe of a tentacle, the Devious Dagger fell out of my hand and tumbled to the ground. The others managed to fight back, but it didn't take them long to quickly get captured as well. Adam was the last one to fall, and as he tumbled, his sunglasses fell off. I looked over to him, and was stunned to see his white eyes for the first time fully. They were very strange, not at all looking like Herobrine's eyes are. They were white where brown should have been, but they were even brighter white in the middle where the pupil was supposed to be. It looked really creepy, and I felt entranced as I looked into his eyes. However, I was shaken from that trance when the Hybrid Squids pulled us up forcefully and wrapped our bodies with their tentacles. Smaller, normal Squids latched onto the backs of our bodies, and they easily linked their tentacles together so that it could not be broken. As we stood there trying to get forced to cooperate, some other Squids gathered up our weapons, pausing on the Devious Dagger and the Rugged Rapier. The two Squids that picked up the Sacred Weapons walked up to the humanoid Squid and quickly whispered something to him while showing him the weapons. Soon after he nodded, and then he looked to my group of friends.
"Take them to the main building. Don't let them get away," he hissed, and then with quick shoves, the Hybrid Squid group pushed us towards the Nether Brick fortresses. I complied to what the Squids wanted. From the fighting we had to go through to even get to the Nether, I was exhausted mentally and physically. I didn't have much strength left. That was how most of the others were as well. The only one that fought back was Adam, who continually tried to escape from the Squids. Each time he almost succeeded, but then he would get knocked down once again and captured. Each time he got captured he would get meaner and meaner, and it frightened me by how he was letting the evil take over him. It frightened everyone.
The Squids lead us to the biggest structure in the Nether, which I quickly knew was Herobrine's main lair. I was expecting it to be a giant building perhaps like the city hall in CubeCity, but I was terribly wrong. It was a gigantic castle. The corners were giant towers, and it had many layers to it, until it hit the very top of the castle, which was almost to the top of the Nether. The whole thing was created by Nether Bricks and Glowstone blocks, with small falls of lava pouring out of certain parts of the castle. The castle was an impressive sight to behold. The Squids pushed us up the stairs, making Jen and Sierra trip several times trying to get up. I knew better than to try and help them up, since I knew that the Squids would lash out to me if I did that.
They brought us through the castle, and we made our way deep into the depths of the castle. As we decended, it surprisingly got colder than before, and eventually the only source of light we had was from glowstone lamps that were placed along the long, dark hallways. We passed through a set of iron doors, and quickly entered into a larger room. As we walked in, we heard people that were previously talking quickly shutting up. I looked to the cells that we passed by, and in horror realized that they were my friends. They all looked horrible, and grasped onto the iron bars that locked them out from freedom as we passed. Eventually, we came to a group of three cells, and they unlocked the first one. They quickly shoved me in there, releasing me from the bonds that they kept me in. I tumbled in, and quickly felt another body tumble in with me. The iron door locked once again, and I turned to look around the cell. Sierra had gotten shoved in here with me, and the only other person that was in the cell with us was Jerome. Sierra silently gasped in happiness, and then she ran forward and engulfed Jerome in a hug. I think they had kissed as well, but I had turned away my attention and watched where the rest of my friends had gotten placed. In the cell directly next to us (to the left) I heard Brice and Jen get shoved in there, and then one more cell opened, and I knew that they had shoved Sky in there. I couldn't tell who was with whom except for the one directly across from us (which held Brotato, Gizzy and Bashur), but I knew that every single cell in this hallway was filled with my friends. We all were really close to one another, only taking up about ten cells if I did my math correctly or not, five on one side and five on the other.
Footsteps brought our attention outside, and I looked up only to gasp in fright. Herobrine stood there, looking to each of us. He looked to Sierra, who had begun to cower in the corner. An evil look appeared on his face, and he walked up to the edge of our cell. "Well, looks like the traitor has finally come crawling back to me. Well, it's more like you got captured instead. Like I said before, Sierra, you are weak. You are pathetic and I should have gotten rid of you when I had the chance," Herobrine hissed, his eyes boring into Sierra.
Jerome moved himself in front of her, and then he said, "You will have to go through me to get to her, Herobrine."
The Nether King sneered, and then he said, "You humans are pathetic, believing that love is the cure for everything, that it can protect you." Herobrine the moved his attention to another cell, and away from us. He quickly moved out of sight, although I tried to see where he had gone.
"Ah, Adam Skyler Fisher. It seems to me that you are now a guest in my dungeons here in the Nether," Herobrine said, his voice slightly echoing in the partially empty hallway.
"A guest? This is what you call having guests? This is absolutely horrible the way that you treat us if we are your 'guests'," Adam spat, anger filling every word that he spoke.
"I am the Nether God. I'm not known to have nice hospitality. You guys were so close in not getting captured, but yet, you did. How did that come about? I have been trying to capture you and your ragtag group of friends for weeks, and this is the first time that we manage to get you. Oh, and how close it was to your final goal!
"I know about your little 'mission' to gather the Sacred Weapons to make the Forevermore Sword. That was the first thing that I realized when you humans managed to escape from your burning city weeks ago. And it appears to me that you guys had almost gotten every single weapon, all except for the Wither Falchio which I hold in my possession. So close, and yet so far you guys were to saving your world! It is almost funny how close you guys were. Well, sorry to say that you won't be able to complete your journey in trying to summon my brother. This will be the last place that you guys will ever be, and it will feel so good to watch you guys slowly die when I decide to kill you," Herobrine said, power flowing through his voice as he spoke. He then paused, and he took in a deep breath.
"You may have defeated Derpollolus, but you won't get me. Not now, not ever." Right then, I watched as Herobrine walked back down the hallway towards the doors that lead out of here, and he quickly walked through the doors. We heard a click as he locked the doors, and then his footsteps faded away as he left. I slumped down, feeling emptiness inside of me. This was how we were going to die, being tortured in the Nether? I just couldn't believe it, and I knew that the others couldn't believe it either.
Sky's POV-
"Not now, not ever." Those words echoed in my head even as Herobrine left the dungeons that he was keeping us in. I put my head against the obsidian walls that separated me from the rest of my friends, closing my eyes and breathing in. I had failed my friends. That was the one thing that I thought I could do, but I couldn't. I just... couldn't. For the first time, I realized that I had let down my friends once and for all. It was not their battle to fight, but I had allowed them come along and let them get captured with me. Now, we had no chance of escaping the Nether. All of my friends, including Dawn and Sierra, were going to die because of a choice that I made. A choice that I made while the evil had taken over my entire body. The anger that once controlled me had completely left, and now I felt empty inside. I hated that feeling.
As I sat in silence, I could hear my friends trying to talk to others and trying to comfort one another, but nothing worked. Everyone realized what was going to happen to us. And this time we couldn't get away from it, it was inevitable. I looked around my empty cell, feeling lonely for the first time in a very long time. I knew the reason why the Hybrid Squids had put me in a separate cell from the others, because I was the most dangerous to them. They didn't want me with my friends so that I could have a chance in getting away or making a plan. I looked down to my amulet, which was hanging limply at my chest. I picked it up, and examined it closely. No longer did the beauty of the butter make my happy. Just looking at the amulet made me feel even more empty inside. I had lost almost everything in my life, my brother for a time, my parents, my home, and now, I was going to lose the love of my life and my sister. The amulet was a reminder of my earlier life, and even though usually it gave me comfort, it no longer did. I adjusted the sunglasses on my face, and leaned forward slightly. I had sustained a wound from trying to escape the Squids, one that stretched across my stomach and was bleeding softly. I knew that I had to stop the bleeding in order to survive longer than I was going to last.
Suddenly, I heard a soft voice start singing. "I saw the fire raging on as the mobs came and took our home. From Creepers to Ghasts, they almost took our lives. We're alive, but now, we're left here to roam. All it's gone and now we're left to survive," Sierra sung softly, her voice resonating louder than normal since it was a partially empty room. Not a moment after that, I heard Brotato start strumming on his guitar with her, playing it perfectly even though he probably had never heard of the song before then.
"Let your heart beat on, we'll fight against the odds. Let's not be pawns, no one can take our jobs. Until the dawn, I'll protect you from the mobs," Sierra sung, her voice filled with emotion as she rose her voice to hit the correct notes that were supposed to be sung with that song. I quickly knew what she was singing, and sat up as she sung that song.
"We already made it this far, I don't think that we'll die. The warrior inside will keep fighting on. Please know that I will love you, even when our hopes are gone, gone," she sung, and I knew that she was singing the song to me. It was obvious, it couldn't have been anyone else. As she started to sing the chorus once again, I joined in with her softly, singing a deeper part to go along with her part.
"Let your heart beat on, we'll fight against the odds. Let's not be pawns, no one can take our jobs. Until the dawn, I'll protect you from the mobs." We sounded good together, and with Tyler's guitar in the background it made the song sound even better. I could hear some of my friends crying, their emotions getting the better of them.
"Oooh, oooh, oooh, oooh. La la, la la. La la, la la. Oooh, oooh, oooh, oooh. La la, la la. La la, la la." Our voices trailed off at that last note, and then I shut my mouth, allowing Sierra to take this part which I knew she was supposed to sing. Everything quieted down, even Tyler's guitar, and she softly sung the next, more emotional part of the song.
"Let your heart beat on, let's not be pawns. Until the dawn, I'll protect you from the mobs." We both sung together for the remaining "Oooh"s that were left, and when Tyler finally played the last note, Sierra finished singing the last note by holding it out for a couple seconds, and then she fell completely silent. At this point, I knew that every single person in the room was crying. I clenched my eyes together, and then I felt a lone tear fall down my face. I knew that her song was true, and it touched my heart deeply by the words she had used in the song.
Suddenly, I heard clapping from down the hallway. That broke the moment, and I crawled over to the iron bars to see who was so disrespectful to do that after a beautiful song like that. What I saw shocked me, even though I could barely see him. "Wow, that was beautiful, Sierra. But, I think that you guys don't want to stay in there much longer and keep on singing songs that make everyone cry," Demented said, leaning up against the far wall that was closest to the iron doors that locked us in the hallway.
"Demented!" I exclaimed, a smile lighting my face. I knew that he wasn't evil, or at least not anymore. I knew that he was going to save us. Several of my friends voiced the same comment, and everyone was trying to see him from where they were in their cells.
"I have never been so glad to see anyone in my entire life," Bashur exclaimed, saying what was on everyone's minds.
Demented smiled, and then he jingled the keys that unlocked our prison cells. "Do you guys want out or are you just going to kiss my butt for the next couple of minutes? Which I can't say I don't enjoy, but I would think that you guys want to get the Wither Falchio as soon as you can," he said, and we all nodded and said yes.
The young man quickly went to unlocking all of the doors, and lastly opened mine, which was because I was on the end. When he unlocked my prison cell, I walked out, and quickly gave him a hug. "I knew that you weren't going to betray us. I knew there was good in you," I said, smiling to the man.
"And I know there is good in you as well, even though it may be small with how the evil has almost completely taken over your body. Let's just get out of here quickly before Herobrine realizes that I have let you guys out and comes to kill us all," Demented said, and then he walked back towards the iron doors at the beginning of the hallway. He unlocked them, pushed them open, and then let us walk through past him. Once everyone was out, he locked the doors again, as if to be like normal, and then he turned to me.
"OK, I have been looking around, and I found where all of your stuff is, as well with where the Wither Falchio is. Now, we won't have much time, so we will have to be quick. Just down this hall that I am going to go down is your equipment, although they have stored the Sacred Weapons elsewhere in the building. That is hidden near the Wither Falchio, hidden behind a secret hallway that leads to the room. I can lead you there, but we will have to be quiet and quick. Any questions?" Demented said, looking around my group of friends.
Ian quickly folded his arms across his chest, and then he said, "Yeah, how do we know that we can trust you. You captured me and some of the others, saying that you brought us here to be captured." The others all agreed with Ian, and then turned their attention to Demented.
He sighed, and then he said, "I knew that the only way that we could get into the Nether and get out safely was for me to say that I had turned you guys in, and then I could be able to get you guys out when you got captured. So, I pretended to be evil, and then when you guys all got captured and Herobrine was occupied with other business he had to attend to, I knew that I could save you. I stole the keys from a Squid that I had killed and hid, and unlocked the doors. You guys have to trust me that I am good, or else you may as well be stuck here forever and live with the fate that you will be killed slowly by Herobrine instead of having a chance of surviving a couple more years."
Everyone fell silent, and then, they all nodded. I smiled. I knew my friends. They would trust anyone that I trusted, and would trust anyone that was willing to betray their friends in order to save them later on. I then turned to my friends. "OK, we are going to need to split up into groups. I will go with Dawn, Mitch, Jerome, Seto, Bashur, Quentin, Ian, Ty, and Jason, and we will go to find the Sacred Weapons. Everyone else, you will follow with Ant to get our gear and make sure that no one is left behind to tell Herobrine that we have escaped. Is that clear?" I asked, glancing around. All of my friends nodded, although a couple of them looked sad that they couldn't go with me.
Within a couple seconds, everyone was heading off to go to the places that they were told to go. Sierra quickly pulled to the side to give me a long, hug, and then she gave Jerome a quick kiss and hug, as well with Mitch for the hug. I watched my sister run off with the others to find the gear, and then I turned to my friends, who stood waiting for me to tell them what to do. I looked to Demented, who stood waiting for us to decide on if we are going or not. "Lead the way, Demented."
The man smiled, and then he gestured for us to follow him. We quickly followed behind him, running with light steps so that we could be as quiet as we could. I ran at the front of the group, right beside Demented. Several times we had to kill Hybrid Squids and other Nether mobs so we could get past them, and when we did, we had Dawn destroy their bodies so that nothing of them would be left behind. But enemies were not a big problem for us. We made our way through the long, maze-like hallways, and I was surprised that we weren't lost in how big this place was.
For several minutes all we did was run through hallways, turning at corners and killing any enemy that we ran into. There were a couple instances that we almost got caught when we almost let a creature run away, but Mitch would quickly shoot them dead so that they couldn't complete the job that they had started. As we killed these creatures, I could feel the evil tearing at me, but I managed to keep it well controlled. Sometimes I would accidentally let it slip out, and I would lose control for a minute. But I would easily regain control, and I would continue going on as if nothing happened.
Finally, we stopped in a long, dark hallway that was about four miles away from where we were previously. Demented held up his hand, which stopped us from running. Several of us keeled over, trying to catch our breaths, while the others just stood, panting slightly. Demented walked to the wall, and put his ear to it. He moved his head around against the wall for a minute, and then he finally tapped a small part of the wall five times, each knock being different than before. All of a sudden, a gust of air blew against us, which we all enjoyed greatly. A secret door had opened, and Demented stepped into the dark space. "Come, this way. We are close to the chamber where Herobrine is holding the Sacred Weapons, all ten of them," he said, and then he disappeared into the hallway.
Sighing, I then turned to my friends. "Come on, let's go. Let's get the weapons back finally," I said, smiling. My friends returned the smile, and then they walked into the hallway behind Demented. Once all of my friends were through, I walked in, and closed the door behind us, making sure to seal it once again so that we didn't leave a trace of us being there behind. I turned and ran through the dark hallway, being engulfed in almost complete darkness. The only source of light was my amulet and Dawn's lava streams, which barely penetrated the darkness that enclosed us in a cocoon of black. I don't know how long we walked along in that hallway, but when we finally came to a stop, it was quite a bit of time later.
Demented turned to us, his face barely illuminated by the lava streams that Dawn held in the air around us. "Just beyond this door are the weapons. But, I have to warn you: once you grab the weapons, Herobrine will know that you have escaped. You have to be willing to run for as long as it takes for you and your friends to escape the Nether and get to Mount Blockrest to summon Notch. If you can't do that, I suggest returning to the prison cells and giving up now."
"No, we will not give up now," I said, gripping my right hand into a tight fist. The others agreed with me.
"Then good luck. I will meet you guys outside of the Nether when and if you make it, but from here on until you get out I cannot help you. I don't want to be killed by Herobrine as much as you guys don't want to." Demented then walked past us, returning into the dark of the hallway.
I turned to my friends, and sighed. "Here goes nothing," I then said, and I knocked on the wall the exact same way that Demented did. Soon after, a door flung open, and the light of the Nether slammed into us, blinding us temporarily. Once my vision returned, I stepped into the room, and saw that the room was well guarded. No windows were to be seen, and the only entrance that I could see was the one that we had come through. The room was large, and as I examined closer, I realized that pedestals against the far edge of the room, staggered into three lines, held all of the Sacred Weapons. One weapon stood out against the rest, one that we had never seen before. Unlike all of the other weapons, the Wither Falchio didn't have many designs to it. It had a plain black hilt, and the blade was tinted black, although in reality it was a grey shade. But I could feel the power of the weapon even from that far away.
We all walked into the room, and we approached each weapon which "owned" us. They were staggered in order of how we had achieved them, so mine was on the far left side of the room. When we stopped in front of the weapons, no one dared to touch them. I knew there had to be something powerful protecting it, it couldn't have been this easy. We all waited in silence for a moment, watching the weapons as they floated with grace in the air, their power radiating off of their blades.
I quickly noticed that we were trapped, seeing the doors had closed shut. But just before I could tell them that we were trapped, the doors suddenly burst open. I immediately see groups of Zombie Pigmen, Blazes, Wither Skeletons, and Magma Cubes pour out of the entrance and run right for us, trying to stop us from retrieving our weapons again. One of the Zombie Pigmen stood in the middle of the doorway and grunted out something in its own language, pointing its sword towards us. Quickly, I shouted to everyone, "Now!" Each of us ran towards the floating weapons, ignoring the ragged and harsh breathing of the Blazes to the squealing and grunting of the Zombie Pigmen. Almost instantaneously, my friends reached the pedestals and grabbed each of the weapons by their handles.
At the same time, we all grabbed the handles, but pretty soon, I felt an immense pain surge through my body as I grasped the Ragged Rapier in my hand. I screamed through my teeth as I clenched them shut to cease some of the pain, but it did little to nothing. I manage to gaze over and see the rest of the guys grabbing the weapons, including Jason who had got a hold of the Wither Falchion and seemed to be in just as much pain as the rest of us. I looked back at my weapon and saw that the gems that decorated the hilt began to glow brightly. Working through the pain, I turned around to face the oncoming mobs, the other guys doing the same.
Suddenly, all our weapons exploded out in an energy blast. Streaks of powerful magic zoomed into the air and came down, raining down right for the mobs. They all screech to a halt and begin to run away when the streaks reach them and make them vanish in a beam of bright, blinding light. We all look away, waiting for the light to diminish away. As I look up, I see all of the mobs on the ground, obviously dead. I grin in victory; we finally had all of the weapons. The others and I quickly made our way down and rendezvoused with our friends at the place we had planned to previously meet. Sierra smiled in relief as I catch up to her and she said, "We finally did it... we have all of the weapons." She quickly threw my armor at me, and I began to put it on as I then think of how to respond to her.
"Yeah... but it's not over yet, though. We have to get out of here as soon as possible, get the others, and reach the Nether portal," I planned out, slipping on my chest plate and securing it in place. She nodded, knowing exactly what to do. I ran out of the room once I had my gear, the others doing the same that didn't previously have their armor on, hearing the rapid footsteps of my friends following me from close behind. We make it out of the room that once held the weapons and run towards the area where we first found the portal. But then, I hear an explosion behind us, which rocks the ground violently. I quickly look over my shoulder and gasp as I see a figure floating a distance away from us... Herobrine.
He raises his hand, which begins to glow a bright-red color. Suddenly, several dozen Nether mobs appear out of thin air. He shouts out, "Get them all! Do not let them escape with the weapons!" All of the mobs begin chasing after us, the Ghasts making screeches and shrills as they ready themselves to begin firing fireballs and the Wither Skeletons raising their swords high in the air.
I quickly look away from the large threat running after us and shout to the others, "Keep running! We can't lose this battle!" They all nod and quicken their running speeds. After what seemed like forever of us running through that highly dangerous place, I look ahead and see the rest of our friends waiting for us, the ones that weren't with Sierra, Ant and the small group they had. As soon as they see the number of mobs after us, they join with us and run as fast as they can.
We cut corners of the Nether, jumped over large rivers of lava, and killed any mobs that eventually caught up to us. I killed a Blaze as it was preparing to throw a fireball at Sierra. I look over and see Mitch swipe his dagger, which created currents of fiery waves that went through a group of Zombie Pigmen and sliced them in half, as well as burning them to a crisp. I slightly turned my head and gasped as I saw a Ghast appear through a waterfall of lava that was a short distance away from where we were running. Its entire body was engulfed in flames, but it doesn't seem to react to it. The Ghast reveals its blood-red eyes as it opens its mouth and unleashes a fireball at us. Acting quickly, I swung my Ragged Rapier back and struck the fireball right before it could hit me or any of my friends.
The flaming ball of fire struck the Ghast in the head, killing it instantly. I watched as its large, white body descend into the lava and disappeared moments later. I look ahead and spot the Nether portal, the only way out of here. But I knew the mobs would be catching up to us. I look over at Ant, who is running next to me, and shout to him, "Ant, you go through the portal first! When the others begin to go through, you start mining out the obsidian. I'll deal with the mobs!"
"What?! But Sky, if I do that, you'll be trapped here forever!" Ant replied back.
"Trust me. I know what I'm doing!" He seemed hesitant at first, but in the situation that we were in, he nodded in reluctance. As we reached the portal, Ant took a deep breath in and leapt through the portal, causing the purple particles to ripple violently before settling down. I ceased my running and let the others go through. I saw the mobs beginning to appear and run towards the portal. I took out my Ragged Rapier, running in front of the others as they went through the portal one by one. I aimed the weapon towards the ground and stabbed it, which caused a large crack to appear. It quickly spread towards the oncoming mobs. They cease their running, but can't get away in time as the blocks break apart and send the Zombie Pigmen, Wither Skeletons, and Magma Cubes into the lava. I knew that some of the Nether mobs here couldn't burn up in the lava, but the gaping hole that I caused would keep them in there.
Sierra was the last one remaining, but she refused to leave my side. I was about to tell her to go, but then, I see Herobrine appear in front of me. He seemed furious, his powers emitting out of his body in a fit of rage. He threw his arms in the air and began to summon all of his powers to form a fireball. I turn to Sierra and say to her, "Sierra, go! Join the others in the Overworld!"
"Not until you come with me!" she cried back, grasping my arm tightly. I stare deep into her eyes and grin, letting her know that I would be alright. I gently grasp her shoulders and push her. Not hard enough to hurt her, but enough to push her through the portal. I look back at Herobrine, who is holding the large fireball in his hands and glaring down at me, his white eyes glowing dimly.
"You'll never get away with this, Sky! I will destroy you and I WILL be victorious!" he growled at me, his eyes glowing brighter with each of his words.
"You say that... but in the end... people like you will always lose. And just like those people, you'll never get what you want 'cause you do not possess the spirit that resides within my being. All I want is peace... and justice for those who you have wronged!" I stated back at him, not feeling an ounce of fear towards the Nether god, who gave himself the title as being the God of Minecraftia. My words only seemed to enrage him to the breaking point. I glance back and watch the portal beginning to flicker slightly.
I knew Ant was hard at work, trying to deactivate the portal, so I knew I had to make my exit. Looking back at Herobrine, I jumped backwards and watched as he threw the fireball at that moment.
A split second later, I found myself on my back. Looking up, I saw everyone had made it out of the Nether and Ant, standing near the portal, had an obsidian block in his hand, grinning widely. The portal next to him was dead. He had done his job, and I let my head rest back against the tile of the floor we had landed on. We had the Wither Falchio... and we had escaped the Nether. I couldn't have been more proud of all of my friends, every single last one of them.
Wow, that was amazing! But that's not all that's going to be awesome! Now, to announce what we told you guys we were going to tell you at the beginning of the chapter. We are so close to the end of this story, and same with my story SkyShorts, and we want to plan the very last day that we are going to finish it. Since my birthday is only 16 days away, and I have 4 chapters left to write, I was wanting to post those last four chapters between that time, and the very last chapter is going to be posted on my birthday, which is on September 22. And with my story, I only have 2 chapters left, so the very last episode for my story is going to be posted the same day. Since we both are co-writing two of our stories, Menace of the Nether (the sequel to this story) for Ninja's side and The Rise of Enderlox for me, we found it would be easier if we just start writing those two stories together at the same time. Now, this is going to be really difficult to achieve, but I know that with the support you guys can give this story, that me and Jen can get these next four chapters up within 16 days. We will do this if you guys want us to. If not, we will just continue slowly posting up chapters even after my birthday. But it is up to you guys, the readers!
Anyways, this is NinjaMaster220 and KittyJen1337, and we will see you guys in the next chapter of SkyShorts and Menaces of Minecraft!
