Hey guys, Ninja here! I said that I was going to try and update my story every four days so that the last chapter could be posted on my birthday, but I got slightly delayed in getting this chapter up. But even with this delay, I have finished it! Sorry if it sounds kind of rushed, and sorry if some things are incorrect or seem strange to you guys. Either way, enjoy this new chapter!
Sierra's POV-
I pulled Sky up from the ground, and quickly looked him over. He looked exhausted from running, but overall he looked better than I had seen him in a long time. I smiled, and he smiled back to me. However, that smile dropped quickly when he looked around the Overworld. Everything still looked like the Nether, we could easily see that from where we were in the building we had entered earlier. Sky walked over to the closest window, looking out to the ground below. A sad look appeared on his face, and he soon closed his eyes, turning away from the scene below us.
"Guys, we finally got the last weapon," Adam said, looking over to Jason, who held the Wither Falchio within his grasp. I examined the weapon for the first time, and was stunned by how plain it was. But then, as I continued to examine it, I pulled back in shock. The blade, in certain lighting, looked to have moving faces in the blade. It looked exactly like Soul Sand looks like, except for on a sword. That creeped me out a lot, but I just shook my head and moved my gaze away from the last Sacred Weapon.
Ant looked over to his brother, and then he blinked slowly, breathing in. "Now, all we have to worry about is Herobrine trying to kill us and we have to get to Mount Blockrest, which is about a days journey from here. But it will be dangerous, saying that the Overworld was basically turned into the Nether."
Preston, who was leaning up against the closest wall, looked over to Ant, and he said, "Well, duh! The real question for me is how we are going to get up the mountain without our lungs exploding from the high altitude change and how we are going to pass through the city without being spotted."
Eagle nodded to her brother. "Preston is right. Many people have died from not getting enough air in their lungs when they go quickly up the mountain. That doesn't account for all the others deaths reported on that mountain, from avalanches, wild creatures up there killing strangers, frostbite, and dehydration. How are we going to pull this off?"
That made AntVenom shut up real quick. Everyone else voiced the same opinion, but I kept my mouth shut, along with Mitch, Jerome, Ray and Adam. Finally, the man answered, "We will have to take that risk. We know that the only thing left to do is to summon Notch to help us battle against Herobrine, and the closest place to summon him would have to be the highest point on Minecraftia: Mount Blockrest. But, maybe Seto here can conjure a potion to help us so that we won't have to worry about our breathing problem as much."
"Yeah, that would be easy for me to make," Seto said, glancing over to Ant when the man said that.
Sky looked down to his Rugged Rapier, and then he said, "Guys, I'm not going to lie. This is probably going to be one of the hardest things we will have to do, but we can't give up now. We have every single weapon, and all that stands between us and the safety of Minecraftia is a mountain. But I know, that if we have faith, that we can accomplish this, once and for all."
I expected my friends to cheer. But none of them did. Instead, they screamed. I was alarmed by this, and looked to where they were looking. I pulled back, gasping in shock. A huge Ghast was charging right for the window, its eyes widened and its mouth hanging open. I knew that it was crying out, but we couldn't hear it due to the thick windows and the thick walls of the building we stood in.
"Everyone, run!" I heard Sky exclaim, and without another thought, everyone turned tail and ran for the stairs that went to the floor below. Not a second later, I heard a loud crash erupt from the building. The dangerous shaking made a couple of the guys fall to the floor, as well as rock the entire building. I look over my shoulder and saw that the Ghast was stuck within the building, glaring at us and letting out a loud, raged screech. Some of the guys quickly got to their feet and started running down the stairs. I joined them, darting down the steps as I heard the screeches from the Ghast. Suddenly, I saw a fireball strike the wall beside the stairs. I backed up as burned debris fell in front of me, blocking my way out.
"Guys, help!" I cried out, seeing the guys stop in their tracks and gaze over their shoulders at me. Adam runs back up the stairs and towards where I am. I take a few steps back and watch in awe as my brother clears over the burning debris and lands perfectly on his feet.
He turns his back to me and gazes over his shoulder and states, "Hurry! Get on my back!" I quickly nod and lunge forward at my brother, hooking my arms around his neck and wrapping my legs around his stomach. I feel his hands grab near my knees as he says, "Hang on tight! I'm going to jump over this debris!"
I tighten my grip around his body and hide my face into the back of his shoulder. Since I couldn't bear to look up, I felt my brother take a few steps back on the stairs and lunge forward quickly. I take a peek over his shoulder and watch as he clears over the burning mess, a few of the flames whipping dangerously near his legs as he jumps over, but luckily, they didn't seem to reach him. He lands back on his feet, gently letting me back to the floor and leading me with him down the stairs to catch up with the others. Above me, I hear the Ghast crashing through the already-burning building, screeching harshly as it tries to find out where we had gone.
Without stopping, Adam and I continued to run down the stairs, flight after flight and step after step. Above us, I heard loud crashes and creaking coming from upstairs. I take a quick glance up and gasp when I saw parts of the upper stairs fall and hit the stairs we just ran through moments ago. We continued to run with the others, avoiding falling debris from above and hurrying down the steps as fast as we could without tripping. I gasp for air, my lungs feeling like they were on fire, as well as my legs that carried me down the steps and onto the next set of stairs. Finally, what felt like a long and slow descent from the top of the building (which was somehow where we had managed to come out of the Nether despite the fact that we had entered into the Nether on the very bottom floor of the same building), we reached the bottom floor. All of us bolted across the deserted room and out the iron doors, equipped with pressure plates to let us out. Then, not a moment later, the entire building collapsed to the ground.
A large cloud of dust erupted from the collapsed building and flew right for us. We coughed as we tried to fan away the choking debris dust, the dust even stinging some of us in the eyes. The dust finally settled, and all that was left of the building was just a large pile of debris, shattered window pieces, and large steel that still stood despite the collapse. However, the Ghast that was chasing us was nowhere to be found. I was about to sigh, but then, the pile began to rumble uncontrollably. Some of us backed away from the moving mess of what once a building. Moments later, the Ghast emerges from the mess, shaking some of the debris off of its body and letting out a ear-deafening screech, which makes some of us cover our ears from the piercing noise.
The Ghast rears up to throw another fireball when behind the Ghast, I see Jerome flying through the air with the Slasher Sabers in hand. As he flies towards the Ghast, he lets out a loud warrior cry. He throws both swords down and stabs them right on top of the Ghast. The creature halts in the air for a moment, then lets out a pained shrill as it falls back to the ground with a loud and heavy thud. Seconds later, Jerome appears on top of the Ghast and raises his weapons in victory. "YEAH, GET WRECKED!" he shouted with pride, to which the rest of us sigh in relief and I grin playfully at Jerome's boastful cheers for killing the Ghast.
"Way to go, biggums!" Mitch exclaimed, smiling wildly as he looked up to his best friend, who was still cheering for his victory of defeating the Ghast. Mitch then looked over to me, and then he said, "You got a good one, Sierra."
I laughed in response. "Yeah, I did get a good one," I said, smiling as Jerome clambered down from the top of the Ghast and came running towards us. He quickly high-fived Mitch, and then he came up to me and gave me a quick kiss. Once we pulled apart, he looked over to Sky, and grinned slightly.
"So, Adam, where to now?" Jerome asked, wrapping his arm around my waist quickly, which made me blush.
"We go to Mount Blockrest. We can't give up now. We have to finish what we started, and not give up," Sky said, looking to each one of us quickly.
Right then, we hear a loud cry go out, and we all look up in alarm to see a group of Ghasts gathering up above us, aiming right for us to kill us. "Let's go! Herobrine's wanting to kill us, so we can't let him do that. We have to move, and we can't stop. No matter the cost. Go, go, go!" Adam cried out, and immediately, we all broke out into sprints, running in the direction that AntVenom had run off in. I knew that we had to follow him, since he knew this world better than most people did. We all were running at our top speed, not changing speed much, only focusing on getting out of the city alive. Hundreds of Nether creatures and mobs ran after us, trying to stop us on their Master's orders. But, for some odd reason, none of them could hit us, nor could they catch up to us. After a time, I realized that it was the power of the combined weapons that was protecting us. As I looked to my friends that were the Wielders of the Sacred Weapons, I noticed that they had a strange golden aura around their form. It looked very strange, but at the same time it looked amazing.
It seemed that we only were running for about half an hour, but when we stopped running to catch out breaths, I noticed that the sun was beginning to sink in the distance. I looked over my shoulder as I tried to catch my breath, and realized that CubeCity was far off in the distance, only the very tall buildings able to be seen from where we stood. I was shocked. We were able to run that far in that short of time? Most of us didn't have the stamina to run that far in the amount of time that we had managed to run. I know I don't have the stamina to do that. But someone we had managed to pull that off. What was happening to us?
Adam straightened up from keeling over, and he panted slightly, trying to fully regain his breath. Finally, when he was able to speak, he said, "I... I think that we managed to get away... from the mobs that were chasing us. But just in case, we should... continue on going. If we stay in place, there is a greater chance... that they could capture us and kill us."
"What? Run through the night? We will get really... tired! We wouldn't be able to keep up this forever, even if we were to continue on running. How are... we going to prevent that from happening if you plan on keeping on running all night long?" CaptainSparklez questioned, looking up to Sky from where he was leaning over his legs to try and catch his breath.
Immediately, Seto stepped forward, he not even appearing to have been affected by the long distance of running that we had just done. He quickly took out several vials of a strange, orange substance, and he said, "These can help. They are regeneration potions, and it should be able to keep us awake and able to run without many problems for the rest of the night, or until whenever they wear off."
"You don't know how long they can last?" Bodil questioned, looking up to Seto with shock on his face.
Seto shrugged. "I don't. I managed to make these a while ago, but have never needed to test them until now. So I guess you guys will be my little guinea pigs!"
MunchingBrotato rolled his eyes, and then he sarcastically said, "Oh, you know I love to be someone's guinea pig. It's my life dream to be tested on for some strange potion that hasn't been tested before."
"Well then this should be easy for you, Tyler," Bashur said, not realizing that Brotato was being sarcastic. I looked around to my friends and noticed that many of them were sighing in annoyance, irritated by Bashur's inability to depict sarcastic remarks from serious remarks.
"Uh, guys, I don't think we will have a choice in the matter," I said, looking in the distance back to the city. "It looks like if we don't want to get captured by Herobrine's minions we will have to leave right now."
My friends were confused by what I meant, but when they turned and looked to where I was looking, they noticed the large form of Nether creatures that were quickly getting closer to us. Seto quickly passed out the regeneration potions, and without any hesitation, everyone doused down their potions. Once everyone had gotten down their potions, Ant took off running again, and everyone followed behind, taking off into the darkness that we had to run through.
Lucky for us, we never did meet any mobs that were trying to capture us. That shocked me the most was that none of us had noticed any mobs that were closing upon us, especially wild ones that just lived in the wilderness, not wanting to take part in any war at all. But I ignored that fact. We ran for hours, and occasionally when we could stop to eat or rejuvenate from the long run I would look up and notice the full moon rising into the sky. It could have been about nine o'clock, which was probably the more accurate time saying that we no longer had any way of telling time besides our basic knowledge of the positions in the sky.
At one point, when we finally began to see Mount Blockrest looming into the sky, I was sitting down, trying to eat some bread, but nothing was going down easily. Jerome sat down next to me, and quickly noticed that I wasn't eating any of my food. A worried look quickly appeared on his face. "Sierra, is there something bothering you?" Jerome asked, putting his arm around my shoulder and bringing me into him.
I sighed, and looked over to my boyfriend. How weird that term was to me to use... "I'm just worried about... everything in general. I'm worried that something bad is going to happen to us, that some of us might not make it to the end. I'm worried about the future and what it holds for us. I'm especially worried for Adam, because he has changed a lot since CubeCity fell. He hasn't been the same even before then, since he broke his jaw. I know I shouldn't dwell on the past but..."
Jerome smiled softly, and then he kissed me on the forehead. "Well, this may seem rude, but you should stop dwelling on the past, like you said, and look tot he future. The past, that already happened. Nothing can change it, and we have to live with the consequences that we made. I know that the future seems grim and empty, but behind that immediate wall of black... there is a rainbow. I know that we will get out of this, defeat Herobrine somehow, and then rebuild our home. We will be able to return to semi-normal lives, with... certain changes that will affect our lives. We will be able to start anew, have a second chance. But, we have to have faith that we can take that last leap across the black void to the other side. I know, I know, that we can get through this and make it to that sunny side of the void."
"We have had a lot of faith lately in things that haven't happened yet... besides, how do you absolutely know that we will get through this?"
"I have Spidey senses, remember?"
"No, you have Bacca senses, Fluffy."
"Are you sure? Because I'm pretty sure that a mutated spider bit me a couple days ago." He gave me a wide, teasing grin shortly after that.
Laughing I then punched him in the arm lightly. "I'm sure that you're a dork and that being away from the city life for three months has made you crazy."
"Oh, c'mon, admit it that you like me better as the wild, crazy Bacca that I am right now," Jerome teased, jabbing me in the sides multiple times.
I squealed, and then ran away from there, trying to not get poked again. Sadly, I was not born to run faster than a Bacca, and so he quickly caught up with me and captured me in his arms. He picked me up and spun around, setting me down after a couple seconds. "C'mon, admit it, Si!" he cried out, beginning to tickle me. I laughed, but refused to admit it. He knew that I knew he was right, but he knew that I was not admitting it on purpose.
Finally, he dipped me low, holding me securely in his arms. He wiggled his eyebrows quickly, and I laughed. "OK, you win. I do like you better as the man, no, Bacca, you are now," I said, looking up into his dark eyes.
"Good, because I was getting tired of trying to get that out of you," Jerome said, and then he leaned down and gave me a deep kiss. Once he pulled me back up to a standing position, he linked his fingers into mine, and then he gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"Come on, you have to eat something to keep your energy up, so let's get you something to eat," Jerome said, and then he tugged on my hand, pulling me along with him. I groaned softly, but let him drag me forward to where Alix was cooking some quick food for everyone.
About ten minutes later, we were on the move again. AntVenom was getting extremely anxious, continually looking up to the moon as it continued to rise higher into the sky. We stopped only twice before we reached the base of Mount Blockrest. This surprised me, saying that every time we stopped everyone would be more exhausted than normal. Along with that, the breaks would be shorter than the last break. I knew that Ant and Sky were doing this on purpose, and that something bad would happen if we took any longer than we already were taking. Finally, fed up with the exhaustion of running for so long with very little rest, I approached Ant on the matter.
"Hey, Ant, can I ask you something?" I asked, looking over to the man as he was examining the giant, looming mountain that stood before us. AntVenom looked over to me, his eyes meeting my gaze. He nodded, and then he turned around to me.
"What's up, Sierra?" he asked, his dark eyes shining in the moonlight that surrounded us.
"Why are we rushing to the top of Mount Blockrest as quickly as we are going?" I asked, trying to keep my gaze just on him. "My friends may not be your friends, but I can easily see that you are pushing them too far, too fast. You can't keep on going like this with the others in the dark. They all deserve... we all deserve to know why we are going as urgently as we are now."
Ant fell silent, and then he turned his attention to the small group that sat nearby. "They do deserve to know... but if they know, they will think me as a fool."
"You don't know that. My friends are not like normal people, they will support you in your task and will continue to be there for you no matter what."
A sigh escaped his lips. "Yes, you are right, Sierra. I have learned that since I have first joined you on this perilous journey. I just have not fully realized that for the choices that I have made for this company that I have grown to know." He then turned back to me, and he gestured up to Mount Blockrest with his left hand. "The reason that I am trying to get up to the top as soon as possible is because tonight... is a full moon."
I looked up to the sky, staring at the bright, full moon that rose into the blackness of the heavens. "Yeah, so what?"
"Many mystical things happen on nights such as this one, Sierra. There is a legend, one from long ago, that says that on a night with a full moon, if the Sacred Weapons were gathered together at the very tip of Mount Blockrest at the stroke of midnight, mortals could summon Notch, our creator. That is the only reason that I have been so diligent in getting the Sacred Weapons. I... I have long believed in that story, and tonight could be our only chance in summoning Notch, if this legend is true, for a month. If we don't do it now, we would have to hide from Herobrine's minions for a full month, which is very unlikely to happen. That is why we need to get to the top of this mountain in... about two hours. We don't want to miss this chance in saving Minecraftia."
"Why do you believe in this legend so much?" I asked, moving up to his side and looking up the side of the mountain. Mount Blockrest was really tall, so tall that the tip seemed to curve over my head, even though I knew that this mountain didn't curve at all.
"Because I have longed for change, for the chance to summon Notch and to change how our lives are. I wanted to know what my past was like, before I had lost my memory (this was also before I had learned everything from Adam), and I thought the only way was to summon Notch and ask him myself. But, another reason why I believe it so much is that... it was done once before, a very long time ago," Ant started, pausing right there, biting his bottom lip softly. I looked over to Ant, wanting to hear of this legend that he had believed in since he was younger.
Breathing in, Ant then told the legend to me. "Many thousands of years ago, back during the time that Notch and Herobrine co-existed on the planet, war started to break out. Herobrine was mad at his brother, because Notch wanted to take away almost every single power that had been given to him when he was created. Because of this, their war between the brothers started, and because of this, there were millions of casualties. This was the first real case of mass extinction because of the start of this war. By the end of the war a couple hundred years later, a group of ten powerful warriors joined together, under the power of Notch, and they split the most powerful weapon in the universe, the Forevermore Sword, into ten pieces, each individual power of the weapon going to one of the weapons. The Guardians, when gathered together, had the same exact power that the Forevermore Sword had, but it wasn't as strong. Herobrine was enraged by this, and he sent his minions to scatter the Guardians. This part of his plan actually worked. The Guardians all split up, and eventually found themselves in separate biomes all across the world. When they were close to dying of battle wounds, the Guardians created the dungeons that eventually would hold the weapons. When each weapon was placed on their specific pedestal, the power of that biome activated, and would only be removed if the time was dire enough to do so. Each warrior set their own creations to protect the weapon, to protect it from evil beings that wanted to use the weapons for evil. They also split the weapons because that was the easiest way to get to the Aether was by activating the Forevermore Sword. They wanted to protect the world, and they ended up doing so in hiding the weapons away from everyone. Since that time, many people have tried to get the weapons, but no one ever could get past the enchanted guardians and the traps that protected the Sacred Weapons. We are the first ones ever to succeed so far in doing the very act that those Guardians did so long ago."
"Wow, that is... amazing," I said, unable to muster up any other words to explain the feelings I felt during that story. Finally, I asked, "Wait, what do you mean by the 'biome activated'?"
Ant looked over to me, and then he said, "Well, like the desert storms that raged through the desert, they stopped and calmed down once the Slasher Sabers were removed from the Desert Dungeon by Jerome. That was the biome being de-activated. Same happened to the other biomes. Whatever major danger that occurred in that biome stopped once the weapons were removed from there."
Suddenly, Ant jumped up in the air, and then he said, "Notch, we have to go if we want to make it up to the top of Mount Blockrest before midnight!"
That shocked me how sudden that had occurred. But I just nodded and followed behind him as he ran to the rest of my friends. "Guys, come on, we are going to head up to the top in two minutes!" Ant cried out, and without question, everyone got up and began to get ready to head up to the top of the mountain. I noticed that Seto had gotten up and passed around vials of another potion, which I quickly deduced to be the potions that were to be used for easily getting up the mountain without troubles breathing with the dramatic altitude change. That would be very useful, saying that we had to go to the very top in less than two hours.
I quickly spotted Adam, and I walked up to him. I quickly told him that we should tell the others why we are going up so quickly, and he quickly agreed. I then moved away, and Adam turned to announce to everyone the real reason why we were moving quickly up to the top of the mountain. I quickly packed up all my stuff, and within a minute, I was completely ready to go. Seto and Jen came up to me and gave me the new potion to quickly get up the mountain, and I drank it within a couple seconds. I realized that that was a mistake. The potion, though it appeared to be sweet like the regeneration potion was, it was the complete opposite. The potion was really tart, and stung my throat while it ran down. I coughed after it went down, and Jen clapped me on the back. I thanked her quickly, and when that minute had ended, Ant came running up to everyone. "Come on, let's go and head up the mountain," he cried out, and then everyone began to walk up the mountain behind Ant.
The climb from the start was difficult to climb. It was quickly inclining upwards, and it used our thighs and all of our energy to push ourselves up the steep mountain. We were slow moving compared to getting to the mountain, as we couldn't run or else we could fall down. But Ant continued to push us. However, unlike the other times that my friends were just following Ant because Sky was following him, we all knew the reason that we were going so fast, and we all accepted why we were going so quickly. No one complained, everyone just trudged on.
Without warning, as we had reached a flat part on the mountain side, we heard a loud screech go out. Alarmed, we all looked to where the sound had erupted from, and faltered in our movement, fear enveloping out bodies. High above us in the dark sky flew... five giant dragons. They were each a different color, being blue and white, orange and red, blue and sea-foam green, green and brown, and plain white. They roared in anger, and dove towards us, their jaws hanging wide open. "Run!" I exclaimed, and without hesitation, everyone began to run up the mountain.
We knew it was risky to run up that steep mountain, but it was that or get blasted/eater by the dragons. I ended up finding myself towards the front of the group, being more agile in scaling the obstacles of the mountain than most of the others. Continually the dragons blasted at us, and it didn't take me long to realize what their powers were; the blue and white one blasted large streams of freezing cold, sharp ice, the orange and red one shot hot streaks of fire, the blue and green one shot concentrated blasts of high-pressure water, the green and brown one had the power to create more earth than there was previously, and the plain white one created powerful bursts of air that could carry anything, no matter the size, off of its feet. They were even more powerful than the Ender Dragon. I expected the dragons to nail at least some of my friends, saying that some weren't the most agile of people in Minecraftia, but the mysterious power of the Sacred Weapons protected us from being obliterated.
With the dragons hot on our tails, we were able to climb the mountain in amazing time. With the mixed powers of the regeneration potion and the system boosting potions inside of all of us, we were able to run for the entire time without faltering many times and also scale the high mountain with no problems in breathing. Whenever we would start to feel exhausted, suddenly a boost of energy would surge through our bodies, and we would be able to continue on going.
For a full hour, we ran up the mountain, avoiding the attacks of the dragons and trying to not get killed. It was hard to see in the blackness of night, and many times we had to double back to avoid hitting a cliff or falling off of one. The bursts of fire from the fire dragon lit up our surroundings brightly, but only for a minute until they faded away. Even with the darkness that encompassed us, we were able to eventually see the tip of the mountain. At that point, the dragons got even more angry, and endlessly dove towards us and tried to kill us at every chance they got. But we were used to the attacking now, having figured out their basic tactics, and since the potion effects were still in us, we easily could avoid the enraged attacks.
Never once did we stop or slow down. Many times we would backtrack so that we wouldn't fall off the mountain and get inured, but we would never stop. We followed close behind Ant, who surprisingly knew the path to get up to the tip. A couple minutes later, we were trudging through snow, trying to get up to the top. The freezing weather made us slow down slightly, but overall we didn't stop because we would be killed if we stopped. The last stretch to the top of the mountain was the hardest, because the path narrowed dangerously and on one side dropped down a sheer cliff, but we knew how to avoid falling down. I ended up running behind Jerome and in front of Bashur, and at the very front, only a couple people ahead of me, was Adam and Ant. From that point, it didn't take long for us to hit the top of the mountain, and when we stumbled to the top, the dragons reared up, stopping in place. They closed their mouths, and just stared at us, flapping their wings so that they could stay in place.
"What the..." Sky muttered, looking to the five dragons that circled around us at the tip of the mountain. They were spaced evenly, and eventually, they sat themselves down on the edges of the mountain, keeping their distance from us but continuing to stare at us. Suddenly, they bowed their heads towards Adam. He backed up in shock.
"Adam... I think that they realized that we are holding the Sacred Weapons," Mitch said, looking to the dragons as they looked to each of the weapons that Team Crafted and Bashur held.
Sky looked down to his Rugged Rapier, and then he looked to his friends that held the weapons. He then looked around, and he quickly found a beautiful pedestal that blended into the surface of the mountain. It stuck out of the ground, and it was larger than any of the other weapon pedestals that we had seen before. He walked forward, and without talking, the other Guardians of the weapons walking forward behind him. I stood with the others, standing next to Ant as we watched this event take place.
Everyone basically held their breaths as we waited to see what would happen. Sky looked to the others, and then he breathed in. "Guys, this is the moment we have been waiting for. Three months it took to get here, but now we have a chance to summon Notch and save our world," Adam said, and the others nodded in response. He then held the weapon forward, which began to glow brightly. The other weapons did the same, and when every weapon was held over the pedestal, Adam said, "Together, we will make... the Forevermore Sword!"
In perfect timing, everyone with the Sacred Weapons stabbed the pedestal, and suddenly, a huge, white cloud of energy erupted from the pedestal. My friends backed up from the pedestal, shocked by the sudden action. Everyone covered up their eyes, the light blinding everyone temporarily. The energy surge also had some wind to it, and so it made a strong blast of air hit us, almost knocking us over. I felt someone grab onto me to protect me from the blast, and I didn't need to think to realize it was Jerome.
The energy surge finally ended a minute later, and we all removed our arms from over our eyes, looking back to the pedestal. We all stood in shock at the glorious weapon that floated above the pedestal before us. It was... beyond explanation. It was so beautiful, it was hard to explain the beauty of the weapon. The hilt of the weapon was a mixture of all of the weapons, not being overly decorated but just the right combination to be beautiful. The blade was a silvery-white color, emanating a light that was resembled the light from the sun. Sky stepped forward, and everyone watched in awe as he walked forward. The dragons, who were still sitting there looking at us, all watched as Sky walked towards the weapon, their wings folded against their bodies. Adam reached forward, his arm extending slightly to the side as he watched the weapon. Slowly, he then reached forward, and grasped onto the handle of the Forevermore Sword.
Adam's POV-
The moment I grabbed onto the weapon, I felt power surge through me. It was power unlike anything else I have ever handled before. I no longer felt the evil that normally filled my body, but something else entirely. It was so powerful and amazing, I just can't explain it. A bright light seemed to go from the weapon to me, and I felt as if my body was being lifted up by something that wasn't visible to see. When my body was set back down, I looked around, and looked down to the Forevermore Sword, which was held tightly in my hand. I then looked to the rest of my body. I wasn't looking like normal, instead, I wore magical butter armor, and my amulet was no longer its normal self, instead, it had formed into a sort of magical eagle symbol. It still looked like my amulet, just altered. If I hadn't looked down to my body, I wouldn't have been able to realize that I had armor on. It was so light that I felt like I didn't have any armor on at all. I turned around, and quickly saw that my friends that had once held the Sacred Weapons also had magical armor on them. They also appeared to be shocked when they saw the armor on their bodies.
The dragons, which sat on the outsides of the tip of the mountain, all bowed their heads towards me, lowering their bodies with the bow. I was shocked by that. The Forevermore Sword had that much power? That wasn't the only thing that it did, though. We felt a rumbling, and all looked to where a magical set of stairs was being created. It was bright, much like the Forevermore Sword was, and lead up into the sky, eventually blending in with the sky.
I walked up to the bottom of the stairs, and put my available hand on the rail. I then turned to my friends, and didn't say anything. I nodded, and without a single word, they all followed behind me. I didn't think we were able to talk at all, because of the shock we were in. What we saw was unearthly, and unnatural. But we knew that was how we had to get to Notch to summon him to help us fight against his brother.
What I expected to be a long walk up the stairs turned into a very short walk. Within seconds, we were surrounded by white light, and eventually, we hit the top of the stairs. My feet hit solid ground despite the fact that we were walking on clouds, and I looked around, awed by my surroundings. Just like the Forevermore Sword, everything was beautiful. It was hard to explain the beauty that I witnessed.
Everyone was just as shocked as I was, awed by the Aether that we stood in. "This is... beautiful," Jen muttered, barely managing to find the will to speak. None of answered, but nodded in response. Suddenly, we saw a being walk up to us. Before, I never did notice that there were beings walking around, because they blended almost perfectly into the surroundings of the Aether. This being I could tell was partially human, but it had a heavenly light that surrounded its body. It was a man, and it was dressed in a white robe that fell to his ankles.
"Welcome, Adam Fisher and friends, to the Aether. Notch as been expecting you. Follow me, if you will," the man said, and then he turned around and began to walk towards a giant building in the distance.
"How does he know your name?" Dawn asked, walking up to my side. I shrugged, and then walked after the man. The others followed behind me, looking around at our surroundings. We followed the man for a distance, and I could hear Ant exclaiming in excitement.
"This is just... amazing! No one has ever been here before!" Ant exclaimed, his eyes wide in excitement.
"That makes sense, unless they are dead," Quentin muttered under his breath. Ant looked over to the Mudkip and glared slightly.
"Guys, stop acting like idiots," Ian said, and then he returned his attention to walking forward.
We walked on for a distance, and we continued to walk towards the giant building. As we walked in the building, I examined my surroundings, and saw that the building was very large. It stretched in almost every direction, appearing to not have an end. Waterfalls seemed to fall from the ceiling high in the air, and everything around us seemed to be a natural garden. There was one lone person standing in the middle of the room, and he turned towards us, a large smile on his face. I recognized him, despite never seeing him in real life before, and I knelt to the ground.
"Sky, my son, welcome to the Aether," Notch, our creator, said with a smile in his eyes and on his face.
