Here we go with responses.

AZTEC 13: Yep, you can say that things will be wild. This chapter will be a doozy.

Hockyfist: Not necessarily. Amon is just making a very strong play in the game. Sorry, Scarecrow will be instilling fear. Tarrlock and Amon's past will be discovered, don't worry. Clar and Korra. I think you should read this chapter to find out.

AVP5: Correction this is not a fight, this is a battle in war.

Ashbringer36: The Cybermen and Daleks are acting like that out of comic reason. I just started getting into Doctor Who like in the beginning of January. I'll see what I can do with the grammar. Oh I know exactly where the schworts comes from.

The Avatar and her companions in crime fighting stood still, observing the capital of the United Republic being attacked by a chemical agent of some sort. Forcing the victims to face their greatest fears, as they were still screaming in terror.

A second passed, and the Batman was the first one to give a response.

"I am going to need you all's help," Batman said, as he went back inside his bunker.

"What? Wait, hold up for us," the archer called out, as he and the others followed Batman.

"What is happening out there," Clar asked.

"Scarecrow's fear toxin. Amon must be desperate to use a mad man as an asset. We need to find out where the fear toxin is being released from," Batman said, as he walked up to a table, pulling out a scroll and unrolling to show Republic City's irrigation/plumbing system.

"Could be the sewers? With Manheim's hired benders, they could have used their waterbending to release it out into the air," Korra suggested.

"The fear toxin needs to be released at a constant rate if Crane wants the toxin to spread out more. So those benders have to still be in their set locations," Batman said, as he still looked at the blueprints, as Green Arrow joined alongside him.

"It has to be released in different areas around the city. These sewer tunnels have connection to abandoned train stations, right here," the archer pointed out.

"Six of them. We check out each of them and neutralize the toxin release," Batman confirmed the plan, as moved towards the medical area that was close by to him.

"What about the people infected by the toxin," Clar asked, as he saw Batman pulling out a case from the medical drawers. The caped crusader opened the case, and what appeared to be vile of some chemicals and a syringe with different needles ready to be used.

"I have faced the Scarecrow before, along with his toxin. I developed a vaccine and serum to negate the effects," Batman said, as he set up the syringe to be used. "For safety, you all to take a dosage."

"Doesn't hurt to be on the safe side," Black Lightning said, as he stepped forward to Batman to get his shot of the antidote.

As Batman was injecting the antidote into Black Lightning, Clar used his super hearing to listen to anything that was happening in Republic City, besides the Fear Toxin spreading across the city.

"Mayday! Mayday! This is Air-warship Ba-Sing, hostile air-warships firing at us! We are going down! All hands, abandon ship!"

"Get the Council members into protective custody! The chief has Councilman Tenzin under protective custody. Find the others."

"Help! Can anyone hear me? There are people here on the tower. The doors are shut to keep the gas out, but we can't get out! Please, help us!"

The Kryptonian could hear more shouts of desperation, fear, and chaos. He could not wait any longer as people called for help, when he had the power to do more than just help, but to save all of them. Clar made his way to leave as the other masked wonders were still prepping themselves for their objectives. However, a certain Avatar caught the Kryptonian making his exit from the corner of her eye.

Clar was already outside and was more than ready to make his way into the city, but he was disturbed by the voice of his best friend.

"Good time to bail out."

Clar turned to see Korra standing with her arms crossed around her chest.

"I can hear them. I can hear everyone in the city calling out for help. I need to save them," Clar explained.

"Clar… the toxin could affect you. Can't you just wait until Batman can give you the cure," Korra asked, as she released her arms from her chest and walked up to Clar.

"Korra, you and I both know that he would scowl at me for suggesting I do something that isn't concerned with his objectives," Clar replied.

"You don't know that," Korra still stuck to her defense.

"Korra, as every second passes, there are more people that are getting hurt. I need to save them," Clar said.

"Then I am going with you," Korra answered, as her hands clutched into a fist.

"No. Not this time," Clar replied in a desperate and demanding tone.

"Why? You still think I am still the same weak damsel in distress that can't defend herself," Korra asked in a very upset manner.

"No… it's not…," Clar tried to come up with an answer.

"Then what is it?!" Korra demanded for an answer.

"Korra, if anything happened to you because of my choices I would never forgive myself," Clar gave his explanation. Korra was silent as she listened to Clar.

"When I was under that red ring's influence, all those choices I did were all back thought motives that I wished I could do. In the back of my head, I sometimes think I should just beat criminals hard enough that they would be unable to harm anyone anymore. I sometimes wish I can just force people into recognizing that I am here to help, and if anybody doesn't want that they can protect themselves on their own," Clar kept talking.

"Where are you going with this," Korra asked.

"Korra… all that stuff I said to you when I was like that… I actually…," Clar tried to spit out his answer, but he had a hard time to say it.

"The feelings are still mutual, even right now," Clar said.

"Clar… are you saying…," Korra tried to answer for herself.

"Korra, I…," Clar was interrupted, by a siren screaming. The Kryptonian looked back to the city to see a police airship falling and nearing to crash into the city. Clar looked back to his best friend in desperate look.

"Korra, please stay with the Batman and the others. You'll be safer by helping them instead," Clar said in a frantic manner, before he prepared to leap into the city.

Korra wanted to stop Clar. She wanted to use her granted strength from her armor to grab him from leaping high. Korra wanted to hear the truth that her best friend could be falling for her. But all the Avatar could do was watch Superman took a small glance at her and mustered a fraction of his strength to make his decent into the city. The Avatar was standing still like a statue looking toward where Superman had leapt towards.

Korra then heard footsteps coming from the bunker's entrance. She turned back to see the Batman standing with Green Arrow and Black Lightning right behind him.

"Where's Superman?" Batman asked straight forward question.

Korra was silent for a moment, still thinking about what Clar was trying to say to her.

"Avatar Korra, where is Superman?" Batman asked again, which finally brought Korra back to reality.

"He is off to keep order in the city," Korra answered.

"Figures. Our number one muscle is missing the big play for this one," the archer commented.

"Who said you lost your muscle?" Korra asked, as she crossed her arms to her chest. "So are we going to save the city or what?"

"Sure. But first," Batman said, as he approached Korra in arms reach, and pulled out a syringe and injected it into Korra's arm.

"OW!" Korra yelped in pain, from the sharp needle stabbing into her.

"Let's shut off all the vents," Batman said, as he moved to the side of the pier and pulled off a tarp to reveal a speedboat that was prepped for combat and was all black.

"Is everything you got all black," Green Arrow asked.

"Is everything you got all green," Korra answered for Batman, as Batman led everyone to enter the boat.

"Got told off by a wonder woman," Black Lightning commented to the archer.

"Quiet, all of you," Batman said, as he turned on the combat boat and piloted it to their objective.

As the masked adventurers were off to stop the toxin from being released, Republic city's Man of Tomorrow was off trying to help anybody that needed a superman.

In the police airship that was going down and about to crash, there was still a crew that was in the pilot's deck trying to pilot the airship from crashing into the city where there will be severe casualties.

"We're losing altitude fast," the officer said out loud.

"We won't be able to make it to that clearing! We're going down," another officer shouted.

As the airship was about to crash into the nearest building, the officers in the flight deck braced themselves for impact. However, instead of a loud crash from hitting the airship, the officers felt and heard a loud thud instead. It was as if someone caught a hold of the outer shell of the ship. The captain of the airship made his way to the window to see what happened, and he found that the ship hasn't even touched the building.

Outside of the ship, Superman was the only thing standing between the airship and the building. The Kryptonian kept a firm grip on the airship and he needed to deflect the airship just enough to the point that it would be thrown above the building and off into the bay.

So Superman mustered his strength and threw the airship up into the air. Clar kept his eyes on the airship as it made its way above the building into the bay where there could be no casualties.

In the airship, the officers could see that the airship was making its way into the bay. The supreme officer of the ship turned to his men.

"Ba Sing is clear from civilian residence. Abandon ship now," the captain shouted, as he made sure his men were the first to make it out and use their metal-bending to escape the crashing airship.

Superman could see the metal-bending officers were able to make it out, so he made his way to the next call for help.

People inside the restaurant of one of the sightseeing towers in Republic City, so the toxin wasn't able to breach the inside of the complex where the people were safe.

"Has anyone answered the radio," a waitress that worked in the restaurant, asked one of the paramedics that was sent to the tower.

"No. There is nobody. Either the lines are cut, or there really isn't anyone left to save us," the paramedic said with hardly any hoe left in his voice.

"Don't say that out loud. There has to be someone," the woman was interrupted, as the door was starting to open up from the outside.

"The rescue team," someone said out loud.

To their answer, it was not any rescue team, but instead, Superman. Behind Superman was what had to be the back of a truck that transported frozen foods.

"Everyone inside. It has a ventilation system. You'll be safe from the toxin," Superman announced.

The survivors were skeptical at first, but the ones that believed that Superman was a hero, were the first to step up first and take the Kryptonian's offer of survival. It wasn't long until everyone was able to get inside the storage truck. Superman then carried up the storage unit carefully just enough to make sure to not hurt anyone on the trip.

Using his speed, he was able to get the survivors to the outer city limits, where there were already emergency refugee camps that was set up by the United Forces. Superman opened the storage unit, where the paramedics were the first to bring out the civilians that needed medical assistance.

The waitress, looked to Superman, who was still standing by the entrance of the storage unit. Clar noticed the waitress was looking at him.

"Ma'am," Superman addressed.

"I… I don't think you recognize me. You saved me from being taken advantage by those muggers in Suicide Slums back in the Fall Solstice," the waitress pointed out.

Clar recalled the memory; she was his first person that he had saved when he started out as a super hero.

"I am glad I was able to help you out then. Now I have a city to save," Superman quickly pointed out, as he smiled at her.

"Please, do the same for others," the woman said, before Superman made his way back to Republic City.

As Superman made it into Republic City and saving anybody in need of saving, on Air Temple Island, Chief Be Fong and Detective Jun Jo-ons were directing all the officers that they had with them in keeping the remaining airbenders in the world under protection.

"Officer, I want you up on the tower to keep watch of any ships that would be coming this way," Lin ordered one of her officers.

"Yes, chief," the officer complied and made his way to the tower.

Jun was speaking to the White Lotus Sentries that were stationed on Air Temple Island in order to protect the Avatar.

"Pull some strength together. Keep watch out on the shore line and draw the line here and no further," Jun said.

"Yes, sir," the sentry complied, as they went out and took their defense.

Lin made her way to Jun, as he was the next high ranking officer that was right below her.

"The sentries are set up," Lin asked.

"Yes, chief," Jun answered, as he looked back to Republic City, which was still filled with toxic fumes.

"Has there been any communications from the station," Lin asked.

"I already checked the airship's radio. There is no contact coming out from the city," Jun said, as he made his way to the main temple, where they had Tenzin and his family under protection, alongside Lin.

"What about any other airships," Lin asked.

"I have one of the officers trying to find a line with General Loin," Jun said.

Meanwhile…

Amon and Manheim were flying above Republic City on their own airship, watching as the city was tearing itself apart in panic. Crane was looking down at the city through the window, enjoying his time as he looked at his own work being released.

"The screams. Oh the screams of terror. Music. Beautiful music to my ears," Crane said out loud, for everyone around him to hear.

"Does that nut wack ever shut up," Manheim asked Amon, who was looking down at Republic City, with his hands behind his back.

"It matters not. The time has come. As Republic City is weakened, we can strike right now on the ground. Find the council members, and bring them to me," Amon said.

"You better not be talking to me, because we already have an agreement that we are working at the same level," Manheim pointed out.

"Of course. First things first, send a strike force to apprehend the last airbenders," Amon brought up.

"I'll agree to that," Manheim replied.

On Air Temple Island, the metal-bending officer on the tower kept his eye onto the city, and he saw Equalist airships headed their way.

"Oh crap! Equalist airships! Coming from the city," the officer tried yelling out from the tower, as he rung the bill to catch his comrades' attention.

Lin and Jun heard the officer shouting from the tower, and they looked toward the city to see the Equalist airships coming toward their location.

"Jun, make sure that Tenzin and his family are secured," Lin commanded.

"What about you," Jun asked.

"Somone has to make sure the Equalists do not get passed us," Lin said.

"I'll be back," Jun said, as he ran inside, as he gestured for two officers to follow him inside the temple.

The Equalist airships were above Air Temple Island, and the ships launched cables to the ground and the Equalists dropped down to the ground ready to fight.

The White Lotus Sentries were the first ones to engage the Equalists, but there were some Equalists that made it passed them. The metal-bending officers were the second to face the Equalists. The Equalists were having more difficulty in trying to take out the officers, since they were more prepped in handling Equalist chi-blockers.

Lin was the one who looked to be fighting an invading army led by the dark spirits. As every Equalist came within her sight, she unleashed her metal cables to whack them away, bind them and toss them like rag dolls, and she made it her own promise to not let the Equalists get passed her.

The Persuader could see Lin taking on a number of the Equalists, so he decided to take it upon himself to get rid of the chief of police.

Lin had just manipulated her metal cables to throw off two Equalist chi-blockers, but she was unaware of the oncoming large Equalist henchman, wielding a heavy electrical axe. The metal-bending prodigy was struck by the electrical current and she was stunned by the electricity. Due to the extra padding that was placed under her armor to counter electrical attacks, Lin wasn't down yet but she was down for a moment until she got back up.

Persuader swung his great axe, but Lin extended her metal blades that were attached to her armor and deflected the axe. Lin manipulated the ground to get the Persuader off balance and whipping out her metal cables sending him flying back.

As Lin was handling the Persuader, the Equalists were managing to get an edge on the metal-bending officers thanks to the aided help from the incoming Intergangsters. Among the Intergangsters was the firebending mistress, Plastique. Plastique saw what Lin did to the Persuader, so she decided to take her shot at taking down the chief of police.

Lin could feel through seismic senses that someone was coming from behind here, so she summoned an Earth pillar to knock the hostile back. But Plastique used her explosive firebending to break through the rock pillar, and she started closing her distance on the Chief of Police.

The unique firebender then released another explosion that would hurt Lin, but the metalbender brought up another plate of earth to shield her from the explosion. However, the force of the explosion pushed Lin even more back into the ground, and causing her head to smack back hard onto the ground.

Meanwhile, inside of the Air Temple, Tenzin was looking after his family, as the officers were watching over them.

"Daddy, are we going to be okay," Jinora asked in worry.

"Yes, Jinora. Everything is going to be fine," Tenzin answered, in hopes of encouraging his daughter.

"Superman will save us! He can save everyone," Ikki said out loud.

"Superman! Save us!" Millo shouted out loud, as he believed that Superman could hear him.

"Arrgh!" Pemma yelped in pain.

"Pemma, what's wrong," Tenzin asked in immediate concern.

"The baby is coming!" Pemma said. Everyone in the room reacted to those words. Jun looked around to see the temple's ocelots.

"Do any of you know how to help in delivering a baby," Jun asked.

"Yes," an older woman answered.

"Take Pemma to the next room. Officers, stay right by the door that leads outside. Make sure no one gets in and out," Jun ordered.

"What is happening outside? Are the officers and Lin outside doing fine," Tenzin asked in concern for everyone.

"I'm sure they're doing their best. There is no woman I have ever met that can give a fight like Lin," Jun said.

'When does a police detective Lieutenant call Lin by her first name,' Tenzin thought to himself.

"Stay here with your kids. I need to check up on my officers," Jun said to Tenzin as he walked out of the room. However, Jun had no intentions of checking on the officers that were inside.

The detective looked to the wall that was in front of him, and he simply walked towards it and disappeared into the solid wall.

Outside of the temple, Jun appeared from out of the wall, and he could see a few of the officers' still holding off Intergangsters and Equalists. The detective looked around to find Lin, and to his answer, he saw Lin holding her own against Plastique, but the Persuader making his way to sneak attack on Lin. Jun ran towards the Persuader, and tackling him before he could make an attempt to strike Lin.

Jun had the Persuader pinned to the ground, as Lin pushed Plastique back with her earthbending. The Chief looked behind her to see Jun slamming a punch on the Persuader, knocking the ax man out.

"What are you doing out here, Jun," Lin demanded an answer.

"You needed some help. So I am here," Jun said, as he drew out his pistol, and fired at a couple of Intergangtsers.

"Picked one hell of a time, detective," Lin commented, as she unleashed her metal cables to knock back two Equalists.

"Not too late, I could use a drink with you," Jun said, as he threw a right uppercut on a chi-blocker.

"Don't get too…" Lin was about to finished, but was interrupted by a gunshot coming from the enemy airship, and she saw one of her officer's fall down dead.

Jun could see the assassin known as, Deadshot, adjust his aim on Lin. He only had a moment to react right after Deadshot pulled the trigger and the projectile fired at the Chief. The detective quickly made his way to cover Lin from getting hit, and the harpoon shot dead center to his chest. The shot knocked Jun down to the ground, and Lin saw her best man gunned down by the sniper.

"JUN!" Lin yelled, as she kneeled right beside Jun to tend to his wound, in hopes that there could be chance that he was still alive.

The Equalists and Intergangsters finally managed to neutralize the police officers outside, and Amon made his way to the ground to begin to cleanse the officers of their bending. Starting with the Chief of Police.

As Amon was making his way to the gathered prisoners, Pemma had finally delivered her new born baby. However, this was no time for celebration, because the police officers got word from the officer from the tower that the Equalists and Intergangsters had taken out everyone outside.

Officer Kai Carsung, was the ranking officer in charge now, and he needed to insure that the last airbenders will not fall under the hands of the Equalists. Kai made his way to Tenzin and his family, as they were gathered around Pemma holding her new born son.

"Listen, I hate to do this, but we need to get out of here now," Kai said.

"Please, my wife is still recovering," Tenzin responded.

"I understand that, Councilman, but the Equalists already have taken down every officer that is outside. If they get inside the Temple, I don't know how long we can hold them off. Where are your sky bison's stables?"

"This way," an air assistant pointed a direction.

"Alright. Councilman, I need you to get your family ready, now. We're getting out of here," Kai said, as he turned towards the other officers. "Come on, let's go. We're all that's left in protecting the last airbendiers."

The officers made a tunnel towards the sky bison stables, and they led Tenzin's family to the sky bison. Once they made it below the stables, the officers made an exit to get everyone ready to mount on the bison that were there.

"Alright, let's mount up, and get the hell out of here," Kai said.

"What about Lin?" Tenzin asked, as he grabbed the reigns of his sky bison, Uugi.

"The Chief knows what she's doing. Come on we got to go," Kai repeated again.

"Uugi, yep-yep," Tenzin said, as the sky bison took to the air in fasting speeds, carrying the remaining airbenders in the world.

The masked leader could see Lin kneeling beside Jun's dormant body, and she was remaining quiet, holding onto Jun's hand as if his life depended on it. Amon was standing right behind the Chief of Police, and Lin knew that Amon was there.

"It's time to cleanse you of your impurity," Amon said.

Even if it looked like Jun was dead, he was very much alive, and he could hear what was happening around him.

'I can't move. How can I not move? Wait. The harpoon. Poisoned. Somehow effective on me. What is it,' Jun's voice went on around his head.

"Amon, we checked the temple. The airbenders are gone," the Persuader said.

"Well then," Amon looked to Lin, as she still stood by Jun. "Tell me where the Avatar is, and I may allow you to keep your bending."

"I am not telling you anything," Lin whispered, before she quickly attempted to strike at Amon, but the Equalists launched electrified bolas and they neutralized her.

'LIN!' Jun yelled in his mind, as he tried to help in any way, but he could not move, nor could he get a contact with the Equalist's minds.

"Very well then," Amon then reached to Lin's forehead, to remove her bending.

"nnnnNNNNOOOOO!" Jun was then able to open his mouth and utter a shout, as his body started to change from his usual self. His skin started to turn green. His limbs started to grow slightly longer, and his eyes started to turn red. Jun's cloths also turned to a blue uniform with a red 'X' strapped across his body, and a blue cloak hanging from his back.

The Equalists and Intergangsters looked in shock at what was happening to this detective. Even Amon showed a reaction under his mask.

This green being, that was once Jun, smacked Amon away with a back hand/claw. The Equalists and Intergangsters knew automatically that whatever this monster was that it was dangerous. They prepared to fire whatever they had in their hands, but the green monster grabbed Lin and held her close to it as a stand for protecting her. The large green man charged its way through the crowd of criminals, and made its way into the coast line.

As the green man made its escape, taking along the Chief of Police. Amon was helped up by his fellow Equalist henchman.

"Amon are you alright," a chi-blocker asked.

"I' am fine. Take the officers away. I need to meet with someone," Amon said, as he gestured to his henchmen that he needed no more assistance in walking. He made his way to the airship to meet with an asset that was waiting for him.

Amon finally made it inside the airship and entered a room where a man was setting behind a disk, with a windows view of Republic City.

"Did the poisoned harpoons come in handy," the man asked.

"It did. Until it wore off and whatever you warned me about struck me away and took the Chief of Police with it. What was that you warned me about," Amon asked.

"Let's just say that that 'it' has a name. And you can say I carry the same name," the man said.

"By carry the same name, you carry the same blood as well, Malefic?" Amon asked, Malefic.

"Yes. But I really wanted to see what my brother really is made out of before I get my hands dirty in dealing with him. Not to mention I now know he has some sort of affection towards a human female. How sweet," Malefic commented.

Meanwhile…

In a United Forces airship, General Loin was coordinating all remaining airships that were being attacked by incoming hostiles from airships and from the ground.

"Battle stations to all airships," Loin said to the radioman.

"Airship captains have confirmed prepped for combat," the radioman tells the general.

"Engage all hostiles," Loin commanded.

"Aye aye, sir," the radioman responded as he passed on the command.

As the General of the United Forces was busy trying to keep his army in control, Lee was leading his sister, Asami, and the Fire Ferret brothers through a hallway in the airship.

"Where are we going, Lee," Asami asked.

"Things could get really tense, Asami, and the best place to be is not on an air-warship. So I am getting you guys out of here," Lee answered.

"Where can we possibly go," Mako asked.

"I have a bunker that is right up in the mountains next to the city. You'll be safe there until further notice," Lee said, as opened a door to the side way of the airship. It was a large room with a hot air balloons ready to be piloted.

"Wait we're going on that," Bolin asked.

"Yeah. What? Don't tell me you're scared of heights," Lee asked, as he started up the furnace of the air balloon.

"Hey, I am an earthbender that is out of his element. Give me a break," Bolin tried defending himself.

"Let's just get this air balloon ready to fly," Lee said, as he finally got the furnace to blow hot air into the balloon.

As the mastermind was getting his sister and her friends ready to leave the airship, there were incoming aircraft coming in high speeds towards the city's air space. They were going too fast and were too small to be airships. They gave out a buzzing sound like bees, and they had wings spread to their sides. The pilots of these planes were given direct orders to destroy the United Forces air support, and make push them out of Republic City air space.

It wasn't long until they finally were in visual distance of the airships, and the pilots prepared for combat.

"Alright men, we all have a legacy to bring back. Let's make it count," the squadron leader said through the radio to his fellow pilots.

"I don't, sir. We are doing the work of terrorists," one of the pilots said.

"We are doing this for the good of the future of mankind. Equality for all," the captain reminded his fellow pilot.

The planes then started to increase altitude and were far above the airships. Then the pilots made a fast dive towards the airships.

"HAAWWK-AAAA!" the captain of the squadron, the Blackhawks, shouted his war cry, as they started raining bombs on their targeted airship. Airship was hit by the detonating bombs, and the shell of the airship were breached which then forced it down to go crashing down.

In General Loin's airship, the radios started going on about high-speed aircraft shooting down the airships.

"Sir, the Lusitung has just been shot down by unknown hostile aircraft," the radioman said to Loin.

"We have reports of two of our own airships being attacked right now. Captains are reporting a mayday," another radioman said.

"Sir, we have visual of unknown aircraft headed to our current location. How do we proceed," an officer asked the Loin.

However, Loin cursed out loud, as he smashed his fist to his chair's arm. The general knew that these terrorists had acquired unusual yet reliable weapons that were becoming too much for him to handle. If he doesn't do something, he will gain more military casualties.

"Sound retreat. All airships and ground troops, pull back with as many civilian refugees as possible," Loin gave his final command, as he regretfully accepted the fact that he had been pushed out by terrorists.

As the airship was making its way out of the city's air space, Lee already had his bodyguard, Corin, piloting the air balloon to their next safe location. Asami, Mako and Bolin were looking from where they were setting, Republic City, once a crown jewel, but now looked to be a near war zone now.

"Oh spirits. How many people could have died," Asami asked.

"Don't let it get to you. Amon and Manheim want a kingdom to rule. There shouldn't be that much civilian casualties," Lee answered to his sister.

"How can you say that? There are still people that could be hurt," Mako responded to Lee.

"And we will be of no use if we just run on in there. We need to set up and make sure we are safe," Lee talked back to Mako.

"Korra could be down there," Mako said, as he looked back to Republic City.

"So is Xandu," Bolin brought up as well.

"I am sure, they are fine. They are survivors," Asami tried to be encouraging for the both of them.

Meanwhile…

There were Equalist and Intergangsters lying flat in the battleground of the catacombs. Past the unconscious criminal henchmen on the floor were the masked wonders of the modern age of the Five Nations. So far, they had been able to shut off all the vents that were releasing the Fear toxin.

"This is the last one. Once we get this shut off, we saved the day," the archer said out loud, as he stood watch, as Batman was shutting off the vent with Korra's help.

"It's not this simple and easy," Batman said, as he and Korra finished blocking the vent and shutting off the toxin from being released.

"What," Black Lightning asked.

"Think about it? Why release a toxin all around the city that could potentially kill anyone," Batman said.

"Your point," Korra asked.

"Amon's main goal is to cleanse every one of their bending, not kill everyone who is a bender," Batman kept profiling, as he made his way up a staircase. Then the Batman shouted from up the stairs, "I think you all may need to see this."

Korra looked to the two other heroes, and they all made their way up the stairs to see what Batman was talking about. They saw Batman standing right in front of a water drain and the light from the city lights were shining through the opening drain.

The masked heroes and Avatar looked through the drainage opening and they could see Equalist/Intergang airships above the sky, and Equalist chi-blockers and Intergang members moving about the street.

"Republic City has just been taken by the Equalists and Intergang," Batman said, as he made his way back to where they came from.

"Where are you going," the lightning-bender asked.

"We need to regroup at our only base left. My cave will be the only safe place for us until we can find out what we can do," Batman said, as he still kept walking.

As the masks made their way back to their hideout, Korra still was looking through the opening. There were many worries she had in her mind. Tenzin and his family. Mako, Bolin and Asami. Then, there was Clar.

"Please be safe. Clar," Korra said to herself, and to Clar, if he could hear her voice. She then followed her fellow peers.

It was a while until the Batman finally got them all back to the cave. They slowly dismounted the combat boat, as Batman placed the tarp on the boat for cover.

"You're going to need rest. Everything you may need is in the cave," Batman said.

"What about you? Don't you need rest," Korra asked.

"I'm fine," Batman answered.

When they made it inside, they found a familiar face setting his back to the wall. The long faced man looked exhausted and had recently seen action.

"Superman?" Green Arrow called out.

"They… they took the entire city. There were so many people… that had gotten killed," Clar sorrowfully said, as he placed his hand to rub out his eyes from exhaustion and sorrow. "All this power… and I couldn't save them."

Korra recalled all the times when Clar was there for her when she had been great doubt in herself. Now, she needed to be there for Clar. The Avatar made her way to the Krytponian, and kneeled right beside her best friend. Korra gently puled Clar close to her, so his head may rest on to her chest.

"Will get through this," Korra tried to reassure the Man of Steel.

"All this power… and I couldn't save them."

Republic City now belongs to the Equalists and Intergang. The heroes of Republic City have failed in their primary objective. Superman attempts to save as many people as he could. The wondrous Avatar, the Dark Knight, the Emerald Archer, and the Lightning Bender stopped the constant release of the Fear Toxin. Tenzin and his family barely make an escape from the hands of Amon. Lin nearly has her bending taken away, if not for her loyal police detective, Jun, who turns out to be something out of this world. Amon seems to be getting help by someone who claims to be Jun's brother. The Equalists and Intergang have a group of airplane pilots going by the name, Blackhawks, and they have proven to be too much for even the brilliant General Loin. Lee has taken it upon himself to insure the safety of his sister and her friends. What is to happen now?

Cyberman: The. Equalists. Have. Same. Ambitions. As. The. Cybermen.

Superiornite: How so?

Cyberman: Equal. Status. They. Want. All. To. Be. Pure. Of. Manipulating. Elemental. Compounds. Cybermen. Want. All. To. Upgrade. Into. Cybermen.

Superiornite: Well isn't that a scene. Cybermen being used a secret weapon for the Equalists. Oh wait that's good idea. I need to write it down before somebody steals it.

Cyberman: Thievery. Is. Of. No. Worry. When. Everything. Are. Under. Cyber. Control.

Superiornite: Yeah yeah. I am not buying, okay?

Cyberman: You. Will. Be. Upgraded. *Makes its way towards Superiornite*

Superiornite: God damn it! *Fends off Cyberman with a broomstick*

Scorpion: Superiornite will update this story. You will be patient or your soul will burn!
