I cant handle the amount of fluff I write for this pairing. Sorry not sorry.

When Skye thought of Christmas, she thought of her wedding.
When Skye thought of her wedding day, she thought of happiness.
She thought of Jemma helping pin her veil in place and the smile across her face as she saw it.
She thought of May yanking the strings of her corset into place, but then hugging her tightly while whispering, I am so happy for you, Skye.
She remembered Coulson kissing her cheek before the chapel doors opened. His words, I love you like my daughter, only ever uttered once, stuck with her forever.
She remembered the nuns from her childhood turning and beaming proudly, almost as if thinking, she finally did something right.
She oh so clearly remembered Fitz winking at her and wiggling his eyebrows like the cheeky fellow he'd become after marrying Jemma.
Most importantly, Skye remembered Grant. The moment when he first saw her step through the chapel doors and his face lit up was stuck in her mind eternally. She could clearly remember the swollen feeling in her heart, like it would burst from love. His eyes weren't guarded for once, and she saw the same emotion there.
With every step she took, Skye grew more confident. By the time she reached the alter and Phil passed her on, tears fell down her face.
"You are the best Christmas present I could ever ask for," Grant choked out. "I love you."
"I love you too," she whispered, controlling her tears. "And this is by far the best Christmas of my life."
And Skye would always remember it as just that.
