It wasn't fair they'd wiped the memories of him from Jamie's and Zoe's minds. It wasn't fair that they were now trying to force him to choose a new face before they exiled him.
But as he stood there he finally learned to accept that his decision to leave had been the right one even though now he was going to be punished for it.
The only positive thought he could muster up as he began to regenerate was he was glad that Susan had left him long ago and she would not have to suffer their idiotic punishment.
His last thought was that hoped his new regeneration still liked to play the recorder.
