"Dammit that was my favourite pad" was all I managed to get out before I looked up to see a clearly bemused Sheppard standing on the other side of the door. As I started moving towards Sheppard thanking him I tripped over the wires I had linked to the door falling flat on my face towards the door. Falling straight on the chair that was next to the door that I had given up on earlier as I Hit the chair ass you could hear was the CRACK from the bridge of my nose breaking.

This wasn't the first time I had done this. Trust me if I had one of those punch cards that the give out for people who buy to much coffee I would be on my free nose reconstruction already. As I got up I could feel and taste the blood pouring from my now broken nose. Touching It to make sure of this was not the smartest move either as a shot of pain came all the way thought my head and almost made me want it to explode to end the pain. It was during this pain induced state that I didn't hear Sheppard calling for assistance on the radio and also force his way through the door at the same time.

As the pain subsided I could hear a soothing voice saying that help was on the way and that I should sit tight. The voice of an angelic man that had come from heaven to save me. But as the haze from the pain in my nose subsided and I managed to get some of my faculties back I could see that I was only Shepard and he had a look of concern on his face. As I moved my arm I could see he was looking into my eyes searching for an answer to something he asked as I looked back at him I could see he had concern there in his eyes. Looking deeper I could see that there was something he wasn't saying so I managed to lift my arm up to his head touch his cheek and with all the strength I could muster leaned up and kissed him square on the lips.

As I stated the kiss I realised that it was a huge mistake as my broken nose came in contact with Sheppard a new wave of pain started and I just had enough time to savour the kiss before the darkness of my body shutting down due to the pain in my nose
