Theme Song: Thank You Lord by Don Moen

Chimero vented as he looked around the space. The quarters were bare, with only a berth and plain metal walls, but they were his. He wasn't hiding out in the storage bay of some stolen ship or borrowing a berth from a pilfered palace . . . well technically he didn't pay for this place so it wasn't totally his, but he didn't have to feel guilty about this.

Mm . . . that wasn't exactly true either. While he was glad this option had been made available to him, Chimero couldn't help but wonder if his carrier would be okay. She'd be "okay," but he was the only family she had and he walked away. Slaaag, was coming to Iacon a bad idea? Was he being selfish by wanting to make his own identity outside of being the son of a pirate?

He vented and sat on the berth before leaning back onto it. "Carrier," he said out loud, though not necessarily for anyone to hear, ". . . please be okay without me."

The young mech couldn't help but feel a bit lonely, being away from his carrier and her crew who had always been a part of his life. Here, not only was he surrounded by bots he didn't know, but they'd met under less than pleasant circumstances. He figured they'd be wary of him, the "son of the pirate" and all, for quite some time, whether he wanted to be isolated or not.

Still, not everyone was wary of the new arrival to Iacon. The recent carrier paused just outside of his quarters before clearing her throat. "Chimero? May I come in?"

The young mech quickly got back on his peddes and faced the door with a straight posture. "Y-yeah."

Darkstorm's smile softened at his nervous demeanor as she entered. "I… simply came to check up on you, to see how you were faring. I trust you've been getting along well?"

Chimero's stance relaxed as he looked around the space, "I-it's a change, and it's weird being alone for the first time in . . . well, ever . . . b-but I think it'll be okay. I might need to find something to put in here so I have something to do, but you know, sparkling steps." He nervously smiled and rubbed the back of his helm, "S-sorry, my carrier always says that. It kinda just . . . slips in sometimes."

"I understand," Darkstorm replied amiably before pausing. "I also came here to ask you… if you have nothing to do that is, the rest of us are celebrating a human holiday, Thanksgiving, and we were wondering if you would like to join us."

He perked up, both in expression and posture. "Really? I'd love to!" His facial plating fell almost immediately, "A-are you sure the others would want me there, though? I-I mean considering everything that happened?"

Darkstorm placed a servo on his shoulder plating. "Why wouldn't they? You have a good spark, Chimero, and no one faults you for what happened."

"No I know, I just . . ." he vented, "I guess I shouldn't be worried when ya have former 'Bots with former 'Cons, I just didn't know." He looked at the Seeker with a hopeful expression. "Do you really think they'll be okay with me there? I mean you obviously would be after Vos and all-ah scrap that sounded bad. I-I didn't mean anything by that, just that I don't really know anyone else here . . ."

"You must think low of us if you believe we would let something like that cloud our judgement," Darkstorm replied softly, giving his shoulder plating a soft squeeze. "God teaches forgiveness, Chimero, and you are just as deserving of it as me. It will be all right." Her expression brightened. "Besides, if anyone gets out of line so to speak, I'll protect you."

His optics widened, "Nooo no no I don't think low of you at all! I-" he paused and facepalmed. "This is why I just keep my mouth shut. No I don't think bad of you at all." He glanced at Darkstorm. "But I would be happy to join your . . . celebration . . . thing."

"Forgive me. I didn't mean it that way. But, while it is good to think before speaking, you should do it more often. Your words have already changed the world, Chimero."

"R-really? I didn't think I did anything though . . . well you know except do the exact opposite of what I was told . . ."

"You prevented a war between your carrier's people and us. I'd say that counts for something," she smiled softly.

"W-well I'm not really sure I can take credit. I mean, I don't know if I would've done it had you and Optimus not . . . well you know, had I not spoken to you."

"Oh, I don't know about that… Still, I am happy I could have been of assistance," she replied warmly before offering the youngling her servo. "Shall we?"

His optics went back and forth between Darkstorm's servo and optics before he vented. "I guess we 'shall'." He took her servo.

Conversation abruptly stopped as Chimero entered the room by Darkstorm's side. Though Optimus outwardly trusted the young mech and he had stayed there for several months without incident, many Autobots were still distrusting of him, the royals that were attending the celebration included.

Optimus surveyed the potentially tense situation before righting himself. He smiled softly as Chimero approached. "Greetings, my friend. I am honored that you have decided to join us."

The young mech looked around at the bots in the area before shyly looking to the Prime. "Th-thank you. I, eh, I'm afraid I don't really know what I'm joining you in, though."

The conversations around the table slowly began once more as Optimus began to explain. "Thanksgiving is a human holiday meant for celebrating all that one is grateful for and is usually accompanied by social gatherings and a feast. You are more than welcome to join us."

Chimero stiffly nodded before taking an empty seat, though he seemed careful to pick a spot not in the middle of all the conversation. "A day for celebrating what you have?"

Optimus nodded as he retook his seat next to his sparkmate. "In theory, yes. A day for celebrating all that God has blessed us with."

The younger mech tilted his helm sideways in a gesture that mirrored the confusion on his facial plating. "God?"

Optimus chuckled warmly. "Allow me to explain." And he did. He told Chimero about the human Primus and His Son, Jesus', sacrifice, the free gift of salvation, and about Optimus' own experience with His healing power.

Chimero listened intently as Optimus spoke, his optics widening with each new point he brought up. "Whooaaa. So you like . . . you almost joined the AllSpark? Th-then you . . . wooww. I-I've never heard of any of this-God, Jesus, your time on Earth, any of it." He looked to the others around him. "A-and you've all had experiences like this? O-or at least heard of it?"

Optimus nodded, smiling softly at the youngling's enthusiasm. "Yes. Indeed, we have. I firmly believe it is because of Him that we won this war and that even Megatron was able to find a new, better life."

The new addition to Iacon just shook his helm. "Woowww. I've never heard anything like that. I mean, everyone talks about Primus being the source of life on Cybertron and anything, but it always seemed . . . I dunno, so impersonal. Like 'welcome to Cybertron kid, now you're on your own,' ya know?" He froze. "Eehhh no offense to anyone who might . . . you know . . . sorry."

"You can speak how you will when you're here with us, Chimero," Elita One interjected warmly, Rodimus balanced on her hip. "But God is anything but impersonal. He saved my sparkmate and gave up His own Son for us all to be saved. My only regret is not knowing about Him sooner."

"Whoa . . ." Chimero looked between Elita and Optimus. "Is there some literature on this that I can read? It sounds really interesting. Plus I kinda need something to do with myself, some research might just help."

Elita and Optimus shared a look before the latter turned back to the youngling. "Interesting you should ask. God inspired several humans on Earth to write down messages for us to read until He returns. It is called the Bible and I can always lend you a copy."

A smile crossed the young one's facial plating. "Really? That would be great!" He stopped himself again. "Wait-wait no, today's the day to be happy for what you already have, isn't it? I don't want to get all grabby on a day like this-th-though thank you for your offer."

"You are most welcome, Chimero," Optimus placed a servo on his shoulder plating. "Anything you need, you need only ask."

Chimero shyly smiled and nodded, "T-thanks. It means a lot . . . ya know, not to have to fend for myself or anything. N-not that I'm gonna leech off of your kindness or anything! I'll carry my weight and earn my place here, I-I promise."

"As far as I'm concerned, Chimero, you already have."

"I-I . .. w-well I . . ." He blinked several times, as though not expecting to hear that at all. Eventually he bowed his helm. "I-I . . . thank you."

Darkstorm looked onwards, smiling to herself as she saw Chimero happily chatting with the Prime and his sparkmate. She was worried about him getting along, especially with the absence of his carrier, but found he fit into Iacon quite nicely. All he needed was a friendly nudge.

Her thoughts were interrupted when a giggling, frantically crawling ball of metal bumped into her leg. Her brow furrowed, wondering what her daughter was doing, before a knowing smile crossed her lip components as she heard familiar deep laughter.

Before she knew what was happening, a pair of pristine crimson arms scooped up her daughter, causing a gale of excited squeals from the femmeling.

"Nope, you're not going anywhere," Knock Out teased.

"The monsters've got you and you'll have to stay with us forever," Emusa cooed before tickling Dawnbringer's sensitive tanks.

"Having fun, you two?" Darkstorm chuckled.

The crimson medic looked from Dawnbringer to her carrier. "Now whatever gave you that idea?"

"Oh, I don't know," Darkstorm grinned teasingly. "The uncharacteristic bouts of rough housing?"

Knock Out laughed, "Fair enough."

Darkstorm turned back to her sparkmate. "Now, if only we could find-"

"Skyquake, come! Let us avenge your sister!" a voice interrupted. The pair jumped and turned to see Dreadwing running towards Knock Out and Emusa, a very exuberant mechling sitting on one of his shoulders with a heroic expression.

"I wanna play, too!" Moonracer giggled as she followed.

Knock Out's optics widened before he took off running in the opposite direction, he too placing his sparkling on his shoulder. The two made a sharp left around the table before the medic handed Dawnbringer a plate filled with organic food. "Hold him off for me, will you sweetspark?"

Dawnbringer looked as if she had been given a great order. With her all her might, she scooped up some of the goo, cranberry sauce, before throwing it at her brother.

It was a direct hit. The dark red substance covered his facial plating. Dreadwing glared dangerously at a now laughing Knock Out before handing Skyquake a dish of mashed potatoes, ignoring Ms. Darby's protests.

His aim fell short. Instead of hitting his sister, a glob of mashed potatoes landed directly on Knock Out's pristine chassis.

His optics narrowed dangerously as he whipped around. "You-!"

"Knock Out, darling, let me handle this," Emusa placed a servo on her sparkmate's arm before she too glared at Dreadwing. "You-! No one touches slick's finish except for me." She grabbed the nearest food item and threw it at Dreadwing.

The Seeker managed to duck just in time but, unfortunately, Moonracer wasn't so lucky. The force of the energon cube threw her backwards.

Miko, catching onto what was going on, leapt onto the table and aptly declared, "Food fight!"

Before anyone could gather what was happening, food was flying everywhere.

Silverblaze quickly became a leading force, as he flung cranberry sauce at anyone nearby from his hiding spot behind his seat. Plasmarift didn't seem so into the activity and made sure it was known she wasn't a part of the shenanigans, though it didn't stop her from laughing at each hit Blaze took.

Chimero, on the other hand, ducked under the table as soon as the declaration was issued.

Amidst the chaos, Optimus stood up and attempted to quell the chaos. "Autobots, please. This is not the time nor the place to-" His speech was cut off as a pumpkin pie landed on his buccal plating.

The room immediately became silent as scared and guilty looks emerged from the once riotous crowd.

Many feared the Prime would begin to sternly scold them for their actions before a smile tugged on his lip components as he bent over and grabbed the rest of a turkey. "You all should know better than to challenge a Prime."

And as Darkstorm lost herself in the laughter and flurry of activity, she thanked God most of all for her family.

There was no place in that moment that she'd rather be than with them.

D/N: Well, this is our Thanksgiving chapter and perhaps the last chapter of this series. As I've previously stated, Blondie and I may or may not post the final saga given our hectic schedules. If we do, just a warning: the main characters will be the offspring of the main characters in these series so if you wanted another saga about Dar'sain, I'm sorry T.T So yea, nay? Would you be willing to wait between updates?

And if possible, could y'all please pray for my grandfather? He just got out of the hospital last night and he's still very ill.

To Bluefeather4299: R-Really? Och, go raibh maith agat, a chara! *huggles* I am so glad you liked it because I seriously thought it was terrible.

Super Shadic: Well, welcome back, love! It's nice to see you back, and I completely understand about the distractions. Tumblr has been stealing my attention for quite a while now. I certainly hope you enjoy the next and perhaps final chapter just as much as this one. And I don't mean to sound rude but please refrain from using my Savior's name as an exclamation. I take that as taking His name in vain and it bothers me. It's not my intention to make you feel bad; I just wanted to let you know.

To Random Person: Not in this series ;) But you'll have to wait and see.

"And give thanks for EVERYTHING to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ" Ephesians 5:20

"Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus" 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

"Let the whole world bless our God and loudly sing His praises. Our lives are in His hands, and He keeps our feet from stumbling. You have tested us, O God; you have purified us like silver. You captured us in your net and laid the burden of slavery on our backs. Then you put a leader over us. We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance" Psalm 66:8-12

May God bless you, your family, and your Thanksgiving, lovelies!

Until next time, Dream'sRealm

B/N: Hey guys~ hope ye don't mind hearing more from Chimero, I kinda missed the bbu and he needed some attention. Plus we've never really seen him interact with anyone except his gang and 'Storm, so this was fun. And yes, as Dreamy pointed out, work schedules are being such a beast T_T I really hope that it eases up though, I know I for one thoroughly enjoy, re-read, and dang near memorize each review we get 'cause your support means a great deal

On another note, and one more related to this particular chapter, have a great turkey day, everyone. And stay safe on Black Friday, whether you're shopping or working-the world is scary enough without people trampling or bear-spraying each other over a computer

God bless, guys~
