Mara scrunched up the letter when Fabian walked into the room, and hid it behind her back with a smile "Hello my dear," she smiled, kissing his cheek. "Are you okay?"
"Never better," he kissed her forehead "I thought I heard post,"
"Nothing but bills," she lied with a smile.

I wish you and Joy an eternity of happiness. I know you love her more than you could ever love me. She's a million times more beautiful, and a million times funnier, and better to talk to. Mara couldn't throw the letter away. Instead, with watery eyes, she showed it to Fabian, who held her in his arms, her academic equal and told her it was okay. That he and Joy had been sending letters. And just like that, they clicked back.

"You really destroyed every letter I sent?" Jerome asked, smiling fondly "I really did train you excellently," Mara smiled into his chest.
"What about the letters I sent you?"
"No need to burn them," he sighed "You never put in anything passionate about me," he pretended to pout and Mara kissed him harshly.
