Hey! This is a little weird, but if you've ever seen the film Anger Management, which I highly recommend, it's based slightly on that...
Enjoy!
"You have to understand!" Fabian exclaimed, standing up in court "It was a complete accident! I never raised my voice!" The Judge stared at him and Fabian knew it was hopeless. Despite not doing anything, barely tapping the flight attendances shoulder, he was now being sentenced to anger management. "Please..." Fabian tried once more, sitting down, knowing he'd lost it "Fine. Fine, send me to anger management," The Judge nodded, and the jury readily agreed, despite not once shred of evidence pointing in his direction.
Line Break
"Hello Fabian," A slightly crazy looking 29 year old man clasped his hands. Only two years older than Fabian. "I'm Doctor Josh, I run the Anger management group," He noticed Fabian's wary glance "Don't worry about it, they're all wonderful,"
"Right," Fabian rolled his eyes "I'm gonna be spending 40 hours of my life with a bunch of psychopaths."
"Hey." Josh warned him, turning around with an arched eyebrow "Don't call them that." Fabian sighed apologetically, but he didn't mean it. And they stepped inside the room.
Four people were sat in a circle, and there were two seats waiting for them. Josh and Fabian sat down, and Fabian twiddled his thumbs nervously. Josh cleared his throat, and the four people fell silent, turning to him. "Hello everyone,"
"Hi," they all chimed back
Doctor Josh smiled at them "Okay guys, I want you to go around, and introduce yourself to Fabian, tell him who you are, and why you're here-"
"Oh you don't have too." Fabian cut in quickly, not wanting to get to know them all, they were crazy. They were messed up. He was normal. Doctor Josh cleared his throat, and Fabian sighed, gesturing for them to continue.
The blond haired boy in a sports jacket leaned back in his chair "Uh...yeah, I'm Mi-"
"Mick Campbell," Fabian whispered, aghast, taking a proper look at him "You're the football player fo-"
"Yeah yeah," Mick cut him off "But right now, I'm just Mick at an anger management group." Everyone nodded "Um..." He flicked his blond hair to the side. "I uh...well, I think you've all seen when watching the game," he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, and the blonde girl beside him rubbed his shoulder "I tend to get pretty angry when we lose. And I uh...I assaulted another player, and I'm nearly always sent off." Fabian nodded, eyebrows raised. He had heard of Mick Campbell, of course, despite not being a huge sports fan. And Mick was mostly normal, and most players tended to get a bit heated up
"How long have you been here for?" Fabian asked interestedly.
Mick thought hard "I'm on the two year programme."
"I'm Amber," the beautiful blonde smiled, Fabian nodded, now more curious, than wanting to avoid eye contact "I'm a model, obviously," she smiled prettily, and Fabian noticed the other blond man roll his eyes. "Um...I'm here because this other model, Rochelle, was totally mean to be, so I cut all her hair off when she was sleeping." Fabian stared at her, shocked. Doctor Josh laughed and Mick kissed Amber's cheek.
"Um...a-are you two allowed to date each other? Aren't there like Anger Management rules, or s-something?" Fabian managed.
Doctor Josh shrugged "They're in love. There's nothing I can do."
"I'm Mara," came a kinder voice. Fabian turned, and he actually paused. He found this girl...ten times more beautiful than the model. She had curly black hair, tanned skin, and glittering brown eyes. "I'm uh... I'm currently studying English Literature on Scholarship at Oxford." Fabian's mouth dropped open, so she was a genius as well? "I'm here because..." She thought hard for a moment "Because um, I broke uh...I broke a womans leg." She looked down at her hands guiltily
"Uh...sorry," Fabian spoke up "If this is uh...m-my place, I just..." he looked between Doctor Josh and Mara "You don't seem like someone who belongs here," Mara smiled sadly, brushing her hair back. The taller blond shifted uncomfortably.
"You see Fabian," Doctor Josh cleared his throat "You and Mara are the same in this way. There are two types of anger, Implosive, and Explosive." Fabian nodded "Explosive is the guy at the counter you see yelling at the Cashier for not accepting the coupon. And Explosive is the Cashier, who takes it, day in, and day out, until one day they bring in a gun and shoot everyone in the store." Fabian stared at him blankly.
"Right." Fabian swallowed nervously "It's just you're..." he met Mara's eyes and she blushed beautifully "You're smart, and- and pretty-"
The tall blond stood and Mick laughed under his breath while Amber winced at what she knew was coming. "Uh...w-what are you doing?" the blond asked. Doctor Josh stared at Jerome carefully, but did not intervene. Fabian looked up at him
"I was just talking to-"
"My girlfriend." he finished, he stepped towards Fabian leaning down over his chair "You were flirting with my girlfriend. Right in front of me-"
"I didn't kno-"
Jerome raised his fist and this time Doctor Josh stood. But said nothing, testing to see if Jerome could handle this himself. Jerome visibly shook while Fabian flinched and waited for the punch to hit his face. But Jerome, stressing, pulled back. "I'm Jerome Clarke. I'm uh...I'm here because I tried to kill my boss with a golf club."
Fabian stared up at him in horror "Why?"
Jerome ran his hands through his hair "He looked at me funny." He moved and sat down. Mara turned to him, holding Jerome's hand. Fabian turned to Doctor Josh.
Doctor Josh smiled "It's actually very good that the two of them are dating. Jerome is extremely explosive, but when he's with Mara, he thinks only what she thinks, and so when someone bothers him, he doesn't mind. But when someone bothers her; he yells and screams. Which encourages Mara to do the same, so she's releasing all that bottled up anger." He nodded at the couple and they both smiled. Fabian stared at them all, and noticed Doctor Josh was looking at him.
"Um...I-I'm Fabian, and I'm not supposed to be here. I just touched a stewardesses arm, and I was sent to court." The five of them stared at him, and Amber pointed out smartly
"He's like Mara when she first came."
"Denial." Jerome whispered under his breath. Fabian frowned
"I am not in denial! I didn't do anything wrong!" Mick whispered something under his breath and Fabian stood, kicking his chair back suddenly, eyes blazing. They all fell silent.
"Well, well, well," Doctor Josh clapped his hands "I think that's proof enough, Fabian. You need these classes."
Fabian collapsed helplessly into his chair, knowing they were right.
