Chapter 18

(Katniss Pov)

We both headed back into the living room to join the rest of the gang. I walk straight up to Peeta and walk straight into his arms.

"Well I've clearly missed something." A voice said behind me. I turned and saw Gloss. It took all my will power not to laugh at the drawings on his face.

I hid my amusement and gave him a small smile. "Yeah you did. You missed me getting the most beautiful, talented, amazing girl to be my girlfriend." Peeta said. I blush and look own, a small smile shaping my lips. He smiled down at me and kissed my temple.

We all just sit and chat for a few minutes before Gloss leaves to use the bathroom.

"Katniss Everdeen! I swear if I ever get my hands on you, you will seriously regret ruining my beautiful face."

"Oh shit." I mumbled and stood up. Gloss came storming into the room and came striding towards me. I dived behind the sofa.

"Come here Everdeen" He said and came running towards the sofa. I ran round the other side of the sofa and ran it around the house.

"Peeta...door..." I panted as I passed the living room again. I saw Peeta get up and this was our way of showing Gloss part 2 of the plan. Peeta ran up stairs ahead of me and opened all the doors leading to Gloss' room. I ran up the stairs behind him Gloss hot on my trail. I heard everyone else's footsteps as well. I ran straight into Gloss' room and saw part two of the plan.

Pinned around his room is loads of embarrassing photo's of Gloss and a big note saying 'revenge is sweet. Love Kit-Kat and Peeta'

I stood by the wall admiring mine and Peeta's good work. I clutched my side still panting from the running. It's not that I'm not a good runner but Gloss is fast and that wasn't a short run. The rest of the gang came in and broke into fits of laughter at the pictures. Peeta came over and high-fived me.

"You okay?" he said. I just nodded in response.

"Best prank ever." I said as Peeta and I strolled down the stairs. We left all the others back in Gloss' room. He leant in and gave me a small quick kiss.

"The best." Was all he said.

Suddenly Peeta was yanked away from me. I looked up properly to see Peeta and Gloss play fighting on the floor. I laughed at the two of them and cheered Peeta on. As abruptly as it had started, the fight was over and we were all getting ready to leave.

I dressed in my black, ripped skinny jeans and my white paramour t-shirt.

After we were all ready, we headed out the doors, jumped into cars and headed off to McDonalds for breakfast.

Peeta, being the gentleman he is, paid for my meal before I could protest saying something about 'girlfriends needing to be treated like princesses by their boyfriends.'

After breakfast we all parted and went our separate ways. I gave Peeta a quick kiss and explained that I was going to Finn's. He nodded and got into his car as I jumped into the front seat of Finn's. I took the opportunity to message my mum and tell her where I was and where I was going. Finn was saying goodbye to Annie. I turned the radio on and waited for Finn.

We made light chat as we drove to his house. When we finally got there the weight of what I was about to recount to Finnick hit my like a brick. I dreaded telling him. I had no idea how he would react or what he would do. He unlocked the door and stepped inside. He led me to the living room and sat me down on the sofa. I took a few deep breaths. This was it. I was going to tell him.

"So Kitty what did you want to talk about?" He sounded so laid back and chilled.

He looked over to me and saw that I was mess.

"Oh shit I thought you were joking when you said it was serious. Come on Katniss you can tell me." He took both my small hands in his. One more deep breath. My heart was beating at rapid speed.

"I...I...was... I was raped..." I whispered in an almost inaudible voice. Finnick looked at me shocked.

"...For the second time." I say before my voice cracks and the tears cascade down my face.
