Chapter 14

It's been almost two weeks since Cat and I started dating. We were currently trying to study for an upcoming history test... and by that, I mean our history books were still in our bags and we were having a heated make out session on my bed. My whole body was buzzing.

"mmh..." Cat moaned against my lips. If she keeps doing what she is doing, I don't think that I can stop myself from going all the way with her... not for much longer...

"Cat..." I managed to say between kisses. "We should... I can't... oh..." I couldn't concentrate on putting my thoughts into words. Understandably, since Cat was wandering down my neck with her lips. "Cat..." I said again, this time a little bit stronger but still sort of faint.

"Yes?" She paused for a moment and looked into my eyes. Those warm, chocolate brown eyes made me melt inside every time I looked into them. Cat was so beautiful that I had to catch my breath before I could speak.

"As much as I love what we are doing..." I gave her a smile and a soft peck on the lips. "My parents are going to be home soon and I really don't want them to find us like this. Also, I think that if we keep going, they might find us in an even more... private situation."

Cat gave me a hot look but sat up straight in my bed. "Okay, well I might know how you are feeling." She admitted with a blush. "And I don't want to get interrupted when we actually get to... that point." Now she was blushing even harder. So adorable.

"Me neither, Baby." I smiled and removed a strand of hair that had fallen into her face.

"I like it when you call me that. It's cute." She giggled. Then her expression became serious. "Do you think tonight will be a good moment to tell them about us?" I thought about that for a second. Trina will be home, so that's good. She can back me up, should it be necessary, which I hope won't be the case. Moreover, my parents are both coming home early today, which should put them in a good mood.

"Yeah, maybe." I uttered. "To be honest, I am a little scared."

"It's okay, Tori. Remember how nervous I was before we told my Dad?" She laughed. "And then it turned out that he was more than okay with it haha." I couldn't hold back a laugh. Cat was right. Her Dad was like "I thought that was already official, but it's nice of you girls to tell me anyway." Cat had just stood there with her mouth open. I could only hope that it would go as smoothly with my own parents.

"You're right. Well, I guess we can do it during dinner." It sounded like a question and Cat gave me a nod.

"It's gonna be okay. I promise." She assured me and squeezed my hand.

"Maybe we should get some history knowledge into our brains?" I proposed and got a 'kaykay' from my girlfriend.

After approximately half an hour of studying the development of the Greek theater, I let my sight drift to Cat's beautiful features. She was sitting there, her pretty face in the palm of her hand, obviously concentrating on whatever she was reading. I took it all in. The way her red hair shone bright because of the sunlight that came through my bedroom window, the way she wrinkled her eyebrows whenever she saw something she didn't understand immediately and the way she shortly raised them when she realized what it must have meant. She must have sensed my gaze, because she looked up.

"You know I can't focus when you are looking at me." She tried to sound strict but failed miserably by showing a smile. "It's not fair."

"Has nobody ever told you that life is not fair?" I teased her. "Anyway, I can't center on anything either when you are sitting there, looking just so gorgeous. But I guess you can't help it." That made her both blush and smile.

"You're such a flirt." She smirked and put down her book.

"You're the only one I'm flirting with." I opened my arms for her to come to me. Cat didn't hesitate to climb onto my lap and burry her face in my shoulder. She felt warm and familiar and I loved the feeling of her little body pressed against mine.

"I'm so in love with you." She whispered into my ear. That made my heart jump. "Me too." I responded and held her even tighter.

"Tori! Cat! Trina! Dinner is ready!" My Mum called from downstairs. I didn't even realize that my parents were home yet. Cat got up and pulled me with her.

"It's gonna be okay." She squeezed my hand again and I kissed her very softly.

"Just don't let go of my hand." I said under my breath.

My heart was beating like crazy when we walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. Cat and I sat down beside each other, our hands still intertwined. Trina gave me a pet on my shoulder before she sat down herself. We ate in silence like we normally did. I was waiting for everyone to stop eating to start the conversation since we usually talked about our day when we were finished.

"So... That was delicious, honey." My Dad said and I cleared my throat.

"Mum, Dad... I have news." I started, my mouth getting dry.

"Well, go ahead. I'm curious." Dad smiled at me. I tried to phrase it the best way possible but I just couldn't think of what to say.

"What's wrong, Tori?" My Mum asked. "You know you can tell us anything." I really hope so.

"I am dating someone." I spit out. Now there is no going back.

"Do we know that someone?" My Mum asked looking cheerful.

"Yes, actually you know that person quite well." I kept going. I took a quick glance at Cat, who looked at me heartening. My parents were watching me expectantly. I took a deep breath.

"It's Cat. I'm dating Cat." There it was. Now they know. Damn it, it felt good to have gotten this from my chest.

Now I was the one watching full of expectation and hope.

"Didn't see that coming." My Dad laughed. "Well now I don't have to worry about you getting pregnant."

"Dad!" I couldn't believe what he just said. He raised his hands defensively.

"No seriously. Whatever makes you happy, kid" He grinned. I had a big smile stretched across my face.

"Oh I am so happy that you found someone!" My Mum chipped in. "Cat, welcome to the family!" Cat seemed delighted and at the same time flustered.
Wow, that... went... great.

"So you have no problem at all with you know... me being with a girl?" I had to ask.

"Of course not. Do we really seem like uptight, conservative, strict parents to you?" He had a point there...

Later that night I was back in my room with Cat cuddled up in my arms. I felt amazing. Everything I wanted was right there in my arms rambling on about how she imagined rainbows tasted like.

"...anyway I think the red sector tastes the best. I love that color. I bet it tastes like cherries or strawberries. What do you think?" She looked at me with her big brown eyes.

"I think you're right about red but I wonder how violet tastes like. I wish we could find out." I gave her a kiss on her forehead.

"Me too." She said and leaned into my lips.

"Let's go to bed. It's gotten late." I pulled the blanket over us.

"Kaykay." Cat yawned.

So adorable.

The end. I hope you liked it :)
