Vanellope and Candlehead were watching in astonishment at the sight before them. Willow, the real Willow, had just been unfrozen and was sitting on the ground, staring up at Wynter, who was just as dumbfounded as everybody else.
Willow looked practically awful, especially compared to whoever had been impersonating her this whole time. Her hair was messy and concealing part of her face, which was covered in water, a result of the ice melting on her. She was not wearing her jacket and was instead in a long-sleeved purple shirt which the doppelganger had also been wearing under her jacket. However, it was all torn up and covered in specks of ice. Her face was soaked with both melted ice and tears, and she was frowning.
She looked down at the floor, ashamed at her brother having to see her in this state. However, Wynter practically tackled her in a hug, tears of joy in his eyes, and he smiled wider than ever before at finally being reunited with his true sister.
"Oh Willow..." He said softly. Willow looked shocked at first as Wynter continued to hug her, but after a moment she embraced him as well, but she was still crying.
"W-Willow?" Vanellope muttered in deep perplexity. It had been only a half-hour ago that the girl with the same appearance had frozen her into an ice statue, yet she found herself surprisingly joyful at seeing her.
"Who's Willow?" Candlehead asked, confused.
Wynter turned his head just long enough to shoot Candlehead a glance that basically said 'Shut up'. Despite not being the most intellectual kid on the block, Candlehead understood immediately and shut her mouth and turned the other way, whistling a happy tune.
Wynter finally let go of Willow and introduced her to the two.
"Willow Winterson is my older by ten minutes sister," He introduced. "And by that, I mean the REAL Willow Winterson, not that no-good jerk who's been pretending to be MY big sister!" He suddenly got really angry.
Willow lightly rubbed her brother's head to calm him down, which it did.
"A-Anyways, I'd-a like to exp-ulan everythin'," She stammered. It appeared being frozen in a block of ice had effected her speech pattern. However, Wynter, Vanellope and Candlehead understood perfectly what she was spaying.
"Good, because I want to find out what the heck is going on here!" Vanellope said. Candlehead was still whistling, totally oblivious to the conversation in front of her. Wynter gestured for Willow to explain the recent events.
Willow coughed a bit, as if to try to fix her voice so she could properly talk to the trio of children in front of her. She didn't want to act like a fool after actually meeting her brother for the first real time.
"W-Well, you see, Wynteeeeeee..." She started coughing again and continued. "When I first appeared, the elves were the first people I met. They were incredibly naughty, and they were such jerks that I decided to leave to see if there were some nice people around. That was when I met Fannar."
"And he turned you into an ice statue!" Wynter assumed immediately. Willow shook her head, and Wynter's face fell.
"Fannar was a very nice guy, much better than those elves," Willow went on. "Then I met the wolves, and Mr. Artie, and they were nice too. But then Fannar mentioned that somebody lived in this ice mountain, so I figured that they were friendly as well."
Wynter immediately guessed what happened next. "And whoever was living in here froze you in ice!" Willow nodded.
"Wait a second, so all these statues are real creature and elves?" Vanellope guessed once more. Willow shrugged before nodding again.
"Well, initially nobody appeared to be living in here," Willow explained. Her voice appeared to be healing up a bit. "However, when I looked into my reflection in this once-empty room, my reflection came to life and burst out of the wall." She pointed to a part of the wall that had a human-sized hole in it.
"So your reflection turned you into ice, and then she found me and pretended to be you the whole time," Wynter realized, saying what Willow was going to say.
"And that girl is with my friends," Vanellope gasped. Wynter and Willow's eyes widened in horror. "We have to go and save them!" Willow said determined.
She, Wynter and Candlehead took off when Vanellope shouted, "WAIT!"
The three turned around. Vanellope had her hand to her chin and was visibly in deep thought.
"The wolves attacked us but everybody said they were friendly," Vanellope muttered. "Rudolph tried to kill me but Santa considers him his most trusted reindeer. Several elves were mentioned to have gone missing and then they turn up just to attack me."
Vanellope then glanced at several statues in the room. They included a wolf, a reindeer, and several elves.
Vanellope's jaw then dropped and her pupils shrunk as realization dawned upon her. Then, before anybody could react, she took off towards the exit.
"Vanellope, where are you going?" Willow asked.
"To find Santa Claus!" Vanellope shouted. "I think I know what's going on! And if I'm correct, this game may be in bigger danger than we could imagine!"
