"Well, will you look at that, Willow, this isn't the right mountain!" Wynter shouted, exasperated.
Willow and Wynter had just reached the mountain, and Wynter's worst fears were confirmed: the mountain wasn't Frosty Massif, and he had been quick to rub it in his sister's face from then on.
"Maybe you just aren't look properly!" Willow shot back, still climbing up to the mountain, searching for an opening inside.
"Not looking properly?!" Wynter growled in disbelief. "I scaled the whole freaking mountain!"
Willow stopped climbing for a moment as she considered she was indeed at the wrong mountain. However, after a minute, she just said, "We didn't check the top. Maybe the entrance is up there."
"Come on, Willow, this isn't the right mountain!" Wynter groaned. Willow huffed and continued climbing, ignoring her brother's shouts.
"Willow, our friends our out there, lost and confused, and you're just climbing some random mountain," Wynter groaned. "Admit it, we're at the wrong place!"
Willow let go of the mountain and dropped down to her feet in front of Wynter, who jumped a bit. Willow had her eyes narrowed at him, and she was clearly agitated.
"Well if you're so smart, then what do you suggest?" She challenged.
"Simple, we just go back to the mountains. One of them is obviously Frosty Massif," Wynter said. Willow glanced to the group of mountains over a mile away and said, "Those are way to far."
"That's because you had us move even farther away from those mountains," Wynter said through gritted teeth. Suddenly, his eyes widened at Willow.
"Wynter, is something wrong?" Willow asked, confused.
Wynter narrowed his eyes at Willow suspiciously, causing Willow to step back a bit, somewhat creeped out.
"Since I woke up you've been acting odd," Wynter said, picking up a small stick. "But you only woke up a few minutes ago," Willow reminded.
"Exactly," Wynter said, taking a slightly larger stick in his other hand. "Who knows how you are going to act afterwards."
"Wynter, put the sticks down," Willow ordered, but Wynter just stepped forward.
"You're acting like someone I know," Wynter said. Suddenly, he rubbed the two sticks together, setting them both on fire. Willow gasped in shock.
"Wynter, what are you doing?!" She shouted, horrified. "You're acting like Frostbite Willow, and there's only one way to find out!" Wynter shouted, and shoved the burning sticks close to Willow.
"If you're a Frostbite, then you'll melt!" He said, holding the flames even closer to Willow's face. Willow silently started screaming, but she then noticed nothing was happening to her. She was sweating a bit from the heat, but other than that, she was fine.
Wynter saw that she wasn't melting and removed the burning sticks from her. Instantly, Willow batted them out of his hands.
"How could you accuse me of something like that!" She shouted angrily.
"I'm sorry, Willow!" Wynter apologized quickly, realizing what just happened. "But youw ere acting a bit like Frostbite Will-"
"I am not a-" Willow started bit froze. She glanced behind Wynter and whispered so quietly he could barely hear her.
"…Frostbite?"
Confused, Wynter turned around, and his eyes widened in shock as he saw what Willow was staring at. There, standing in front of him, was the gigantic Frostbite Snowman. His eyes were glowing blue and his fangs were giant icicles.
For a moment the giant ice yeti just stared down at the two, who stared back, frozen in fear. The only sound was the heavy breathing coming from the Frostbite Snowman. Frost billowed out of his mouth as he breathed.
Then, his mouth widened and a blast of ice shot out of his mouth at Willow. Wynter, with the speed of a cheetah, grabbed Willow by the collar and dragged her out of harms way. Frostbite Snowman threw his head back and roared, and ice shot out of his mouth up into the skies and exploded. Shards of ice rained down at the two.
Both Willow and Wynter screamed in horror and took off away from the snowman, dodging the ice shards. It took every ounce of speed and agility for the two to avoid the hundreds of giant shards as the flew down from the skies towards them.
THUNK! One shard stabbed down in front of Willow. She gasped in horror and ran left.
THUNK! Another shard fell down and narrowly missed her face. She stumbled to the ground and a third shard stabbed into her sleeve. Instantly, her sleeve turned to ice, but went no farther.
"Those shards!" Willow said. "They turn what it touches into ice!"
"I can see that!" Wynter shouted as an ice shard stabbed into the ground in front of him. Indeed, the ground was starting to turn to ice as all the shards stabbed into it.
Luckily, all the shards had hit the ground and no more were falling. However, Frostbite Snowman was charging towards the two.
"Run!" Willow shouted, and the two took off with Frostbite Snowman chasing after them. He swung his giant fists at them, barley missing, and roared angrily.
"He's catching up to us!" Wynter shouted, feeling him breathing frost down his back. This invigorated him to run even faster. Nonetheless, Frostbite Snowman was still right behind the two.
Suddenly, Wynter felt the frost start to be sucked backwards. He and Willow turned around do see the still running Frostbite Snowman inhale the frost back into his mouth. His mouth started glowing blue.
"He's going to fire another shot!" Willow shouted. Just as she spoke, the giant yeti fired a blast of snow at the two. The siblings screamed and jumped to the sides. However, Wynter fell on his knee.
"Ow!" He groaned and clutched his knee in pain.
Frostbite Snowman threw back his head and cackled a demonic laugh before lumbering towards the injured Wynter. He opened his jaws wide and his mouth glowed brighter then ever.
"Wynter!" Willow shouted and she scrambled towards him as Frostbite Snowman began to fire a blast of snow at him, a blast larger and more powerful then all the others.
Wynter struggled to roll out of the way, but it was clear he would be consumed by the blast. Then, at the last second, Willow shoved Wynter out of the way.
The blast struck Willow in the leg, and she gasped and collapsed on the ground as ice spread around her leg. She rolled on the ground in pain as the ice stabbed into her leg.
"Willow!" Wynter shouted, horrified. Even Frostbite Snowman was shocked at Willow's actions. Wynter grabbed Willow as she shivered from the cold, and he glanced up to see Frostbite Snowman slowly stalk towards the two.
However, before he could do anything, a giant wooden spear went flying and struck Frostbite Snowman in the shoulder. The giant growled in pain and looked to see who threw the spear.
Then, another spear flew and struck him in the back of the neck. He groaned in pain and removed the spear. Suddenly, two more went flying striking him in the abdomen and kneecap.
Frostbite Snowman howled as chunks of ice fell to the ground. Dozens of spears flew towards him, all of them striking his limbs. With a growl of anguish, Frostbite Snowman turned around and limped off, spears still striking his back.
"Who did that?" Wynter asked. At that moment, two hooded figures ran towards the two. Wynter gasped and backed up a bit, still holding Willow.
One of the figures removed their hood, revealing a young woman. Wynter stared into her face, and his eyes widened in shock and disbelief as he recognized her.
"M-Mom?"
And then he passed out.
