Pull Out

Rin's POV

I cracked my eyes open and was ungratefully greeted by the blaring sunlight seeping through the shades above my bed. I hauled the blankets over my head and coughed. Uh oh, don't tell me I'm sick. I thought dimly before groaning and curling up with the stuffed orange Miku gave me last year. I must have fallen back asleep because a knock startled me awake. "Rin? It's Miku. Do you know what time it is? We have an interview in a half hour in Tokyo you gotta get outta bed!"

"'Kay." I replied tiredly as I swung my legs over my bed and slowly got up.

I dragged myself to get ready and quickly changed into black leggings, a pink skirt, black flats, a white sleeveless shirt, and a black headband with a bow on the side; soon, I found myself on the bus ride to Tokyo. I starred absently at my lap, my purple bracelets chiming together as my body moved with the few bumps in the road. "Hey, Rin." I blinked into reality when I looked at Len's worried face, "You ok? You don't seem yourself today." I smiled at him,

"Oh, I'm sorry. I guess I'm just tired, don't worry I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" I nodded,

"Mhm~! One hundred percent~!"

"Alright."

At last we made it to the studio and we waiting backstage for our cue to come on. The crowd was already cheering pretty loudly and it made my head pound. Yep, I was definitely sick. Terrific. "And now, without further ado, here they are ladies and gents! Vocaloid High!" We all stepped out as World's End Dancehall played. It was quite a nicely picked song for our intro since we all sang it together in a cover. As we each came out we smiled and waved and high-fived the audience as we made our way to take our seats next to the interview Tsukuyomi Makara. "Hey, guys!" He greeted cheerfully and we returned it with waves and smiles. "So what's new with you guys? Anything?"

"Nothing much." Miku replied, "Just a lot of work so all of our fans can listen to our newest songs."

"I don't quite thinks that all, Miku." Tsukuyomi replied with a smile,

"What do ya mean?" She asked and he winked as he looked at all of us,

"I, uh, can sense the Matchmaker's visited each of you." We all blushed a little but I wasn't too ashamed as i stood up and swayed,

"Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a maaatch!"

"Find me a fiind!" Len chimed in with his arms out and him standing beside me,

"Catch me a catch!" Miku chirped as she leapt up and pretended to fish (A/N I do not own Fiddler On the Roof). The room all laughed as we sat down with Tsukuyomi clapping.

"Very lovely you three."

"Woo!" I cheered punching the air,

"I love you, Rin!" I heard someone in the audience cheer and I made a heart with my fingers at them.

"Oh, that reminds me, speaking of love and Rin. I do believe you released a confession song very recently." I blushed with a smile,

"Y-yeah."

"May I present it too everyone?"

"S-sure." I smiled and the white screen displayed behind us began to play the music video Suzuki shot soon after the song was written.

When it ended everyone clapped, cheered, and awed when Len hugged me as I blushed with a laugh. "Thanks, guys."

"That was adorable, Rin." Tsukuyomi admitted and I giggled,

"Thanks."

"Our ships have become canon!" I heard one girl cry making my friends and I sweatdropped. Oh goodness.

"Alright, alright, settle down everyone, let's keep these guys alive because they've got a special treat for us later." Cheers roared then died down, "But first we're going to take a little break and will be back after these short messages, see ya!"

The interview progressed for another twenty minutes and we were on another commercial break. As that was going on, my friends and I were setting up on the stage for our three musical numbers. At last the show was back on and we were ready to go. The music for our recent cover, Bad Apple (A/N I do not own it) came on and we began the dance. During the instrumental Miku pointed to the audience, "Come on, jump!" The audience jumped in timing with us and the music and continued to sing along with us. The song ended but the energy lasted a few more moments as we were applauded loudly. As they did so we bowed our heads and took our places as the music for our other recent cover for Word's End Dancehall began to play. When each of us began to sing we lifted our heads and spun around to the music we choreographed so nicely to. During the instrumental the audience clapped and punched the air as well as danced in place to the upbeat song that was displayed with full energy in front of them.

Right after our second song was another commercial break for us to calm down and prepare for our final song which was much slower, it was good to start this off with a bang and what other better way to do so with two upbeat, awesome songs? During the break we signed things for fans and talked to them as well as took pictures with them. I loved this so much: singing for others' pure enjoyment and inspiring them to follow their dreams. The director was giving us the countdown and we hurried to the stage and let Miku stand in the front of our V formation. Our eyes were closed as the intro to our newest song, Yume no Katachi (The Form of Dreams), began to play. Finally Miku began to sing and she smiled brightly to our fans.

"After that, the flowing wind, not knowing how many more slices of sky to reach bringing small pebbles breaking through the gap in the night." Gakupo lifted his head,

"Cars, one after the other, keep passing by at the opposite side of the rod looking blankly at trees on the street and moving shadows withering leaves falling with loneliness." Kaito raised his now,

"From that slope with leftover footprints blue light quietly raises."

"Protecting those passing," Sang Luka, "homeward bound people."

"Signal from the last train," I sang,

"-singing song in the night." Len chimed in as we smiled at each other before Miku came in again,

"Shape being drawn in today, endearing thought and sky being touched in today, surrounding the feelings."

"Stop-by birds." Kaito picked up, "On white branch tip leaning close to each other sound asleep." In the brief instrumental we all raised our heads and smiled at our fans and Luka picked up,

"Squatting in winter, welcoming new radiance, twinkling silver light is on the street."

"Under the sunny sky I take a breath in the center of lam emerging a cloud." A certain male bluenette sang before I chimed in,

"That flying think should be a plane, right? Getting ready, running out of the classroom just as the same as that day."

"Enjoying sunset," Len sang, "looking at the two contrails."

"Oh, the speed is really fast." Kaito beamed before Gakupo cut in,

"Plane flies through the clouds."

"Shape being drawn in tomorrow," Luka said with a hand over her heart, "Endearing thought and sky being touched in tomorrow convey the feelings." Len came before me this time,

"Those happy days spent at riverside making scenery gradually become dye in gold." Instrumental came and the crowd was silence as they watched our performance with smiles on their faces and tears in their eyes from the moving of our lyrics.

"Sound from far ringing next to ear." I sang before the pinkette chimed in,

"It is the sound at that time from us."

"Though not knowing how to move on," Miku finished before the purplette came in,

"Even so, still laughing it off-"

"-gradually becoming sepia," Len continued as he looked at everyone who looked back before returning their gaze to the audience, "friend's faces."

"Even a folded photo," Kaito sang, "Still continuing to give off light."

"Moon sends away sunset-" I smiled then Luka continued,

"-color of the light gradually becomes dense."

"Sun illuminates the street." Her boyfriend sang,

"Dust starts to fly." My own sang as he raised his hand in an arc overhead.

"Street is full of light." I sang as I raised both of my arms before Luka continued,

"Stars are twinkling."

"So bright!" I beamed with my arms outstretched to the sky. We all bowed our heads with a smile while the piano played then Miku raised her head with her hand in front of her,

"A shooting-star,"

"-circling the cloud." Luka concluded.

"Then, passing through tomorrow!" Kaito said raising his hands while Gakupo finished his line,

"Forever, forever."

"My little palm," I sang clutching it lightly,

"-little by little, becoming broad." Luka sang.

"Once again, enabling to stride once more." Kaito picked up before his girlfriend closed her eyes with a bowed head and her hands clasped over her heart,

"Shape of painted dream, on the sky in the heart marks is craved in tomorrow."

"Even time and scenarios are changed." Len chimed,

"Street," I said.

"Today still." Kaito sang.

"Full of energy as before." Luka sang before Miku chimed in,

"Number of,"

"Number of," Gakupo repeated before I took a deep breath,

"Carrying number of dreams!" We all cupped our hands and raised our arms to the sky before turning, still in our V formation, so we could all hold each other's hands as we chorused.

"Shapes are connected to each other hope is born! Shape stating starts to change painted today and tomorrow calling for dreams, calling for hopes. Look! Morning sun rises again! It's a brand new day! Always, yes, it is always. Around the earth, turning and turning from the gap of the clouds today, a trace of light being also shone." We then continued singing 'la' at the top of our lungs with joy.

The lights dimmed and we waved goodbye to everyone while everyone cheered for us. "Bye guys! Thank you so much for being here, Tsukuyomi called as we waved at him before the lights turned off on the stage and we were able to sneak out. We all sighed as we sat back in the bus,

"That was great." Miku smiled,

"Sure was." Kaito concurred,

"I must say though I am quite tired." Luka said as she stretched and Gakupo draped his arm around her shoulder before she rested her head on his shoulder,

"Then take a rest. Why don't we all in fact? We deserve it after our hard work today." I nodded,

"Yeah . . ." My voice trailed off as I held my head with my hand and clenched my eyes shut. I totally forgot how gross I feel . . . Ah, my head . . . I shouldn't have strained myself so hard . . . Then I collapsed on Len's lap,

"R-Rin! Are you ok? Rin? Rin!" I didn't reply as I drifted off into my unconscious state.

I cracked my eyes open and right away they began to burn. "Mm . . . where am I . . ." I blinked and felt a cold, wet rag on my forehead. In a moment I noticed I was in my own bed and heard voices outside my door.

"How is she, doctor?" Mr. T. asked,

"She's caught quite a serious flu, I'm afraid she must be confound to bed for a while."

"Alright, will do, sir." I twitched before coughing and groaning quietly at the pain blasting in my throat like fireworks.

Mami's POV

I began my walk home from school and was passing Vocaloid High when a cluster of voices caught my attention. I hide behind a tree and clutter of bushes when I noticed Miku, Kaito, Luka, Gakupo, and Len outside of the building, then a doctor walked out. "How is she, doc?" Kaito asked,

"Mm, I'm afraid she's not doing so well. She has a 101.5 fever and her throat is significantly red. I'm afraid she will have stay in bed for a while."

"Alright . . . thank you sir." He answered as everyone bowed their head with worry and the doctor pulled away.

"Rin . . ." Len said aloud from his seat on the stairs as they lingered outside. Gakupo placed a hand on his shoulder,

"Don't worry, Len, she'll feel better in no time."

"I sure hope so." The blonde answered narrowing his cerulean blue eyes with worry. Rage burned inside of me as fire blazed in my green eyes and I bit my sleeve to prevent my screaming of anger. Rin!? He's seriously dating that attention seeking bitch! Ugh how dare he! Grr! Huh? A thought suddenly hit me and I snickered evilly before tearing back to the school.

I burst open the door, "Principal Kagamine!"

"Mami! What is it!" He replied with a start and I ran over to his desk,

"It's Rin! She's fallen really, really sick!"

"What! Where is she, Mami! Show me now!"

"This way, sir!" I ran out with him on my tail as we made our way to his car and I chuckled in my mind. Finally, Rin will get what she deserves. And Len can finally be mine!

Len's POV

I stayed outside with everyone else, for some reason Miku was biting her lip and fighting large tears while Kaito hugged her close so her head could lean against his shoulder. I guess I could understand why she would be so upset. I mean she has known Rin since they were in kindergarten pretty much, but she looks utterly devastated . . . I wonder why. I sighed and jumped when I heard thundering footsteps. Looking up, we all spotted the source and we didn't like it one bit: Mr. Kagamine and Mami running out of a black car and towards us. "Wh-what are they doing here?" Luka demanded,

"Hey! Stop!" Gakupo shouted as he placed a hand around his katana's sheathe. Mami stopped, but the old man kept running. I shot up,

"Hey! We said sto-!" Before I could finish He had hoisted me up by my shirt with a glare in his ice blue eyes,

"So you're the boy . . . who stole my little girl's heart . . . you're the venom . . . that's keeping her here!" He then tossed me and my back hit the concrete stair siding knocking me out.

Mr. Kagamine's POV

I shoved my way through Kaito and Gakupo who made sure the girls were out of my reach. Then, I charged inside, shoving past the security guards. Rin . . . this is enough! You're not well enough to handle all of this just as I have told you over and over again! I ran up the stairs and burst open every door, each leading to another bedroom, but finally I opened one door to find my little Rin asleep in her bed. I approached her and stared with pain at her condition: face red and eyes squinting with discomfort of the virus, the wet rag saturating her forehead and bangs and sweat appearing on her pale skin. I scooped her up and ran out. This is far enough. I ought to report this school for keeping a terminally ill girl here where she should be in the hospital getting the treatment she needs! The guards were in the way but I swerved around them, knowing they wouldn't apprehend me with one of their students in my arms.

Rin's POV

The bed was bumping greatly underneath me and I moaned as I cracked my eyes open only to squeeze them shut immediately when a bright light greeted me. Strange . . . why is it so bright in my room? Then a blurry, dark figure came into focus above me. Who . . . is this? I gasped and threw my arm across making the person drop me and enable me to scurry backwards. "F-F-Father!" He held his cheek,

"Rin! We're leaving!"

"What? No . . . Why!"

"It's obvious you're sick! I told you staying at this cursed school would make you worse! Now you're coming home with me right now young lady! No exceptions!" He grabbed my arm and I pulled away,

"No!" I screamed then gasped, doubled over, panting and clutching at my throat.

"This is exactly why . . ." I heard him say gravely as he scooped me up.

"Rin!" I heard a cry and gasped looking over Father's shoulder. Len! . . . Miku! They were all staring at me, trying to take in what was happening but no one did anything . . . Mr. Takahata wasn't around due to a business trip and security guards couldn't do anything so long as Father had me in his arms . . . this was really it? I-I was really leaving this pace for good? No . . . no, please . . . Huge tears escaped my eyes and Father placed me in his car and fastened my seat belt. I immediately turned to look behind me with tears falling down my face as I cried for everyone. Father started the car and pulled away and I was sure everyone could hear the sound of my hear ripping to shreds with the pain of leaving all of my friends behind, for forever. Then my head began to pound from my crying and I passed out on the chair.

Mami's POV

I looked in the rear view mirror as she cried. Did they . . . really mean that much to her? . . . Tch why am I sympathizing for her? She's nothing but an attention-seeking bitch. But my gaze drifted back to her and I stared at her unconscious sickly form. Just give up already . . . and listen to your father for once, Rin. I faced forward and took a look at the pendant on my necklace then closed my hand around it in silence as I bowed my head and sighed.
