Rin's POV
I stared up at the towering building in front of me. It had been so long since I had last been here . . . It almost gave me the feeling I didn't belong here anymore . . . Mr. Takahata was staring at me spacing out apparently because I jumped when he touched my shoulder gently. "Don't worry, Rin. This is still your home." I smiled,
"Thank you so much, Mr. Takahata." He opened the doors and I beamed at the immediate flood of memories brought back by the sole sight of the foyer alone. It was so great to be back! I giggled and skipped in. I looked at my teacher who gestured me to go in and I giggled as I ran inside and up the stairs, very well knowing my friends would be relaxing in their rooms at this time. First came Miku's room and I knocked. "Miku?" –knock, knock, knock, knock, knock- I did to the Shave and a Haircut bit. "Do you wanna sing a song now?" I sang the tune to Do You Wanna Build a Snowman (A/N I don't own it Frozen). "Come on let's go and play." I turned my back against the door. "It's been a while since I've seen your face; my heart's racing fast-pace. Now I'm back here today!"
Miku's POV
I was doodling in my notebook, headphones playing in my ears, when I gasped and froze at the melodious voice. "Us buddies use to sing together. And then we stopped. And now I fin'ly know why!" I stood up slowly as it stopped. Could I have been imagining it? I hesitantly reached for the doorknob, waiting to see if my ears were deceiving me. "Do you wanna sing a song now? It doesn't have to be just us two."
"R-Rin-chan?" I whispered and opened the door to see her turn around and smile brightly at me.
"Hi, Miku-chaaan~." She finished singing and I gasped, clasping my hands together before engulfing her in a spinning hug which made my teal pigtails swish with our movement before we stopped in the middle of the hall. I ran my fingers through her hair comfortingly as she tightened her hold on me. Then we pulled away and tears were in my eyes as I held her by the shoulders,
"Rin-chan~! H-how are you . . .?"
"I finally found out behind my father's long-lasting hate of music . . . and . . . I think I might have even changed it." I gasped and brought my hands together in front of my mouth again,
"Oh, Rin . . . Rin, I'm so happy!" She giggled and hugged me again.
"Are the others in their rooms?" I nodded,
"Mhm, oh, Rin, they're going to be so happy you're here." She giggled and skipped off down the hall, waving at me,
"See you later! Meet in the lounge in a little bit!" I waved back,
"Alright!" I laughed with a shining vibe coming from me. It was so exceedingly amazing she was back.
Rin's POV
I hurried to Luka's room and finally made it. I knocked and stepped back, my hands behind my back. "Luka-sama I've missed you so very much now." I sang the tune to Meg's song (A/N I do not own Hercules). "I'm pleased to tell you I've returned home. I can't wait to sing again with you and I can't wait to feel the beat of the music!"
Luka's POV
I stood on the other side of my door with one hand clutched over my bosom as I stared at the door with surprised eyes. Rin-chan . . . she was back? I opened the door and saw her beaming at me. "Rin-chan!" I cried hugging her close.
"Hey, Luka-sama." She chirped, muffled by my big chest, I let her go and she smiled her sweet smile at me. "I missed you~."
"Oh, Rin, we missed you too. So very much." She giggled and I kissed the top of her head. She was like my own daughter and if I thought of my age I could have watched over her legally. She pulled away and started skipping down the hall backwards waving at me,
"I'm off to see the guys now! Meet in the lounge in a few!" I waved back at her,
"Alright!" I smiled brightly as I watched her run down the hall. Rin . . . even with the fate cloaking you, you still give off the brightest rays of sun. I could even see her golden internal flame shining through her.
Rin's POV
I stood outside of Kaito door and knocked before standing back. "K-K-K-Kaito-kun open up the . . . door, door." I sang to the Fall Out Boy's Light 'Em Up which had light up the stage and the girls' vs. boys' concert. "I wanna blast some music with ya on the . . . floor, floor. I've come back after so long and I'm dreaming of singing again with you." I paused for a little bit, waiting to hear any sign that he was inside. Then I took a breath. "So let em up, up, up. Light em up, up, up. Light em up, up, up." I jumped when he opened the door.
"We're on fire!" He ruffled my hair and I laughed as he hugged me. "Rin-chan I can't believe you're back!" I giggled and looked up at him as he held me in a loving headlock, my back against his torso.
"Well believe it 'cause I am! I'll explain later, meet in the lounge." He smiled,
"Yes, ma'am." He released me and I ran off to see my last two.
"Don't forget!" He saluted me,
"No problem!"
I ran for Gakupo's room and knocked. "Gakupo-oh, Gakupo-oh" I sang, while bouncing, to the chorus of Len and my song Gekokujou which we had released not too long after I became a Vocaloid. "Come out the door and say hello to meh. Gakupo-oh, Gakupo-oh, I missed you much cannot you see. Gakupo-oh, Gakupo-oh I wanna say hello to my dear friend. Gakupo-oh, Gakupo-oh 'til you get out here I will not end." I finished crossing my arms and pouting and he opened the door with a smile and laughed when he rubbed my head.
"I knew you'd come back some time." He said hugging me.
"Oh? How come?" He pulled away and smiled.
"Because I knew you'd come home. Because this is where your heart is." He said placing a gently index finger on my chest. I looked at his finger for a second before smiling up at him.
"Spoken like a true samurai." He put his hands over his head and twirled, his long purple ponytail following him.
"And not just a samurai a dancing one!" I laughed and high-fived him.
"I'll explain everything later. Meet at the lounge in a few!" He nodded and bowed.
"Yes, Rin-sama." I giggled and bowed back before waving and running off. Now there was the final person to greet. Len . . .
I took a deep breath as I stood in front of my boyfriend's room. I wonder how he's been dealing with my absence . . .
Len's POV
I sighed as I stared at my lap. I missed her so much still . . . that still hasn't changed since she was taken away a month ago . . . It feels like a lifetime that she's been away from us . . . I closed my eyes and bowed my head. That she's been away from me . . . Suddenly I heard a knock on the door and lifted my head with a jolt.
Rin's POV
I bowed my head sheepishly as I rested my hand on the door. "Len? . . . Please, I know you're in there." I sang to the ending tune of Do You Wanna Build a Snowman. "I've been waiting to see your face. The others greeted me with happy smiles and laughs that could've last a while and now it's yours. It's just you left to say hello to. I've just missed you so and just wanna see your face. Len . . . Do you wanna sing a song now? It can just be only us two . . . Len . . . I . . ." I jumped and looked up to see a smiling face that contained tears in its eyes.
"Love you." He concluded for me and I gasped with tears in my own eyes. He enveloped me in his warmth and I hugged him back, tears escaping my eyes. "Rin . . . you came back . . ." I clutched at the back of his shirt and he hugged me closer.
"Of course I did . . . not being able to sing and being away from you all? From being away from you? It killed me constantly inside. As if every time I healed I was brutally killed all over again."
Len's POV
I smiled and pulled away, wiping away her tears with my thumb. "But you're back now . . . and you're back to stay." She smiled ad a tear trickled down her face then kissed my nose and I kissed her forehead before she took my hand.
"Come on, the others are waiting in the lounge~!" I smiled brightly as did she while she lead me down the hall.
We entered the lounge to see everyone on the couch smiling at us. "Alright." Mr. Takahata said with a smile stretching from ear to ear as me and Rin joined the others on the couch. "Alright everyone, settle down so I can take attendance Megurine Luka."
"Here." The pinkette smiled.
"Shion Kaito."
"Here." The bluenette beamed.
"Gakupo the samurai!" We all laughed,
"Here." The student answered with a laugh.
"Hatsune Miku."
"Hai~!" She cheered punching the air.
"Kagamine Len."
"President!" He said pointing his finger up making us laugh. "
"Rin Kagamine."
Rin's POV
"Kagamine Rin." I paused for a moment, my hair hiding my face.
"Here!" I cried leaping up as I illuminated the room with joy. This was definitely a blissful return.
