Chapter 27: Reunion of the Uchiha

"It's been a while, Sasuke" Itachi said his back facing Sasuke as he stare at the shock looking Kyūby vessel in front of him.

"Teme, what are you doing here? You're not suppose to be here" Naruto said in a panic tone.

Sasuke glared at him, "Shut up Naruto!"

"You should listen to him..." Itachi said with neutral look.

Kisame smirked while looking at the young Uchiha, "Yare, yare, what dangerous look you have in your eyes."

"Uchiha Itachi... I will kill you!" Sasuke said, his eyes filled with hatred and malice.

Naruto bit his lower lip worriedly, "This is bad... I've never seen that look in Sasuke's eyes before..."

Chidori's lightning crack in Sasuke's hand, "I've been wanting to say this to you... I've lived hating you... I've lived only to kill you... I have lived for this!"

Naruto's eyes widen in alarm.

Itachi narrowed his eyes, "Chidori..."

Sasuke run towards Itachi, dragging the Chidori on the wall and sending debris flying in his wake. Kisame, Naruto, Sasuke, and Itachi's eyes widen in shock.

"Baka..." Sakura said holding Sasuke's wrist along with Itachi's, stopping both of them from doing anything.

"Sakura/Sakura-chan!" Sasuke and Naruto said in disbelief.

The Chidori died in Sasuke's hand, pulling his hand free from Sakura's hold, "What the fuck are you doing here?" He demanded glaring at her.

Sakura sighed letting go of Itachi's wrist, "Stopping you from killing someone you don't have the power to kill."

Kisame winced, "Oooh, that was harsh."

Sakura gave him a look before turning her attention to Sasuke.

Sasuke glared at her, masking the pain he's feeling inside, "How can you be so sure? You don't even know him."

"The gap between your powers and his... Is as wide as the gap between heaven and earth... You have no idea just how powerful he is, Sasuke... Swallow that goddamn pride of yours while you still can, because if you choose to continue this fight, by all means do so, no one will stop you... But at the end of the day, make sure you're ready to accept the truth and not blame anyone for the outcome of the battle" Sakura said crossing her arms on her chest while staring at her boyfriend with a blank look on her face.

Sasuke gritted his teeth, clenching his fist as he glare at the floor, "You... Have no idea... How wrong you are..." He said his eyes meeting Sakura's and matching the look on her face.

Sakura smirk, a challenging look flashing in her eyes, "Then try to prove me wrong and... Do what you have to do" she said, her teammates failing to understand the hidden meaning behind her last words.

The young Uchiha's eyes widen in shock as Itachi appear in front of him, he grab his little brother's wrist, gripping it until he heard a snapping sound. Sasuke yelped in pain, falling on his knees while holding his broken wrist.

"TEME!" Naruto yelled with a worried look on his face, "I have to do something" he thought, putting his hand together in front of him.

Kisame and Itachi's eyes widen in alarm, sensing the Kyūby's chakra emitting from Naruto.

"So this is the Kyūby's chakra..." Kisame thought, grabbing the hilt of his sword and swinging it above Naruto's head, causing the immense chakra of the Kyūby to vanish.

"What the...?" Naruto said in disbelief, "I... Can't feel any chakra... What's going on...?"

Kisame grins widely, "My Samehada... Eats up chakra... Now that that's over with... What should I cut off first? Your legs or... Your arms?" He asked swinging his sword.

In a blink of an eye Sakura appeared between them, the back of her right hand bleeding. Kisame pulled back his sword, staring at Sakura with a hint of worry and apology in his eyes that only she can see. Itachi looked at them from the corner of his eyes, making sure that her hand is the only part of her that was injured.

"Sakura-chan! You're hand... It's bleeding! Oh Kami! Oh Kami! You're hand is bleeding!" Naruto started to run around the hall in panic.

Sakura gritted her teeth in annoyance, using her chakra threads to stop Naruto from running around, "Stop it!"

A puff of smoke appeared, revealing the white-haired Sannin after it cleared, "I Jiraiya, the epitome of manliness, will not fall for no woman's feminine wiles, when you're someone like me, you'll only have to flash that sexiness to have woman fall at your feet" Jiraiya said with a huge grin on his face while doing his nice guy pose.

Sakura shook her head, "He's an idiot..."

"So... You're one of the legendary Sannin, eh? The great Jiraiya" Kisame said with a grin on his face.

"Hmmm... Itachi, you used the Sharingan to cast a Genjutsu on this woman to draw me away..." Jiraiya said placing the unconscious girl beside the wall.

Naruto's eyes widen, "Draw him away? Why would they..."

Jiraiya stared at the two Akatsuki members, "So... You are after Naruto."

Sasuke gritted his teeth, Sakura closed her eyes with a sigh, Naruto looked utterly shock.

"No wonder Kakashi knew about this... You were the source of information..." Itachi said, "To abduct Naruto... That was the mission given to us by the leader of the organization, Akatsuki."

Naruto looked like he's about to throw up.

Jiraiya glared at Itachi, "You won't get Naruto."

Itachi raised an eye brow, "And why not?"

"Because right here, right now, you two will die by my hands" Jiraiya said with a serious look on his face.

"Don't do it" Sasuke said standing up with shaky legs.

Jiraiya blinked in surprise, "Eh?"

Sasuke breathed heavily, "This guy... Is mine."

"I have absolutely no interest in fighting you right now" Itachi said in a bored tone.

Sakura bit her lip to stop herself from laughing at the look on Sasuke's face, although Sasuke is her boyfriend, she knows that sooner or later he has to learn just how powerful Itachi is and to stop letting his anger get the best of him.

Within seconds Itachi kicked Sasuke sending him crashing on the wall across the older Uchiha, Naruto tried to intervened only for Sasuke to tell him not to, stating that the fight belongs to him.

Sakura leaned on the wall, crossing her arms on her chest while looking at the floor with her eyes closed, "I can't watch this... He's going to get himself killed..."

"Come one!" Sasuke yelled provoking Itachi. Itachi punched him in the stomach causing his body to slam him into the wall, the Akatsuki member slammed his elbow on his neck before slamming his knee on the young Uchiha's face.

Naruto gritted his teeth, "Teme..."

"Even now..." Sasuke thought throwing up some blood as Itachi's fist slammed into his stomach, "There's still so much gap between us... Why is he... So strong?"

Kisame grinned sadistically, "No mercy at all."

Naruto looked ready to murder Itachi.

Itachi let Sasuke's body hit the floor, "What have I been... Doing all this time..." The fallen Konoha-nin thought. Itachi picked his little brother up by the neck, slamming his body on the wall.

Sakura's eyes widen, "No way... He wouldn't..."

"Itachi, I advice you not to use your eyes so many times in a single day" Kisame called out.

Naruto gritted his teeth, "You asshole!" He yelled running towards Itachi.

Kisame raised his sword getting ready to attack Naruto, only to be stopped in mid-air, "Hime..." He thought closing his eyes with a sigh.

Itachi looked at Sakura's blank expression, knowing that they have to go before she explodes, "Kisame..."

"I know" Kisame said flashing next to his partner.

"I won't let you escape" Jiraiya said making a move to attack them.

Sakura used chakra threads to him, "Let. Them. Go."

Jiraiya heard the threat in her tone, "I can't believe a 13 year old girl is giving me goose bumps."

"Sakura-chan, why'd you let them go?" Naruto asked bewildered.

Sakura walked towards her boyfriend's fallen form, "Just because..." She said softly running her fingers on his cheek, she brushed away the strand of hair that fell on his forehead, "Gomenasai, Sasuke... I should have done something other than criticize you..."

Naruto's eyes soften, placing his hand on Sakura's shoulder, "Sakura-chan... It's not your fault..." He said reassuring her.

"You have no idea..." Sakura said in a low voice causing Naruto to lean down.

"What was that?" He asked not hearing what she said.

"Nothing" Sakura said narrowing her eyes before pulling Jiraiya near them using her chakra strings and slamming both palm on the floor at the same time, "Raiton Kabe" a wall of lighting surrounded them, electrifying the green beast who blindly attacked them.

Naruto's eyes widen shock, "Gekimayu-sensei."

Gai shakingly wave at them, "H-H-Hi..."

"The hell is wrong you?" Sakura ask raising an eye brow, "Why'd you attacked us?"

Gai rub the back of his head sheepishly, "I thought you guys were the enemy, you see I used my forehead protector as a mirror to see where the enemy was, the reflection wasn't clear so I accidentally attacked you."

Jiraiya looked at him dubiously, "Ok then... Sasuke needs to get to the hospital, he fractured a lot of bones and for some reason the Genjutsu that was casted on him can't be dispelled" he said sharing a look with Gai."

"Ero-sennin! Is Sasuke gonna be ok?" Naruto asked his eyes filled with worry.

Jiraiya gave him a solemn look, "I don't know kid, the Genjutsu Itachi used on him is stronger than your average Genjutsu."

Sakura watched Naruto clench his fist, she sighed caressing Sasuke's face using a small fire to heat her palm to try and warm his shaking form, "Naruto..."

"Nani?" Naruto asked looking at her.

"The Genjutsu Itachi used on Sasuke is called Tsukuyomi" Sakura said feeling the eyes of the two adults boring into her.

"The hell is that? And why is it so different from a regular Genjutsu" Naruto asked confuse.

Sakura continue to stare at her boyfriend while explaining, "Tsukuyomi is one of the most powerful Genjutsu known to exist, only those who have the highest level of Sharingan can cast it and only those who have the Sharingan can survive being stuck there..."

Jiraiya stared at her in utter disbelief, "How come you know so much about the Tsukuyomi? Getting information about its existence is hard enough, but knowing how it works is even harder, so how...?"

Sakura gave him a blank look, "I'm from the Haruno clan, the most feared clan in the whole Shinobi world, do you really think the other clans can hide anything from them? One of the main reason my clan is feared is because they can get any information they want, they can know anything and everything they want..."

Gai and Jiraiya shared a look, Naruto looked between his female best friend and the two adults, feeling the tense silence deafening he decided to break it. "Umm, I have no idea what the hell you guys are talking about and I don't really care, all I want to know right now is if my best friend can wake up from this so called powerful Genjutsu."

Sakura nodded her head, she stood up and looked at Naruto straight in the eyes, "There is a way, rumor has it that a woman named Tsunade can cure any injuries there is, I'm not sure if being trapped in a never ending pain-filled Genjutsu is considered as an injury, but I'm willing to bet that she can find a way to wake them up..." She trailed off, turning her attention to Jiraiya, "Am I correct?"

Jiraiya gave her a startled look, "H-hai..." He stared at the young Kunoichi in front of him, "Just... Who the hell are you, Haruno Sakura..."

"Them?" Naruto asked his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

Sakura sighed, "Kaka-sensei."

"Nani!? That's it! I'm going to kill Itachi" Naruto said gritting his teeth, he clenched his fist and started to walk away, but before he could take another step, his body stopped.

"Baka, do you really think you can kill Itachi let alone harm him?" Sakura asked with a raise eye brow, her right arm stretched in front of her as she control Naruto to walk towards her until he's only a feet away, she looked at him straight in the eyes, amusement shining in her emerald eyes, "Sasuke wasn't able to land any hit on him, no matter how strong he was or how fast he was, heck even Kaka-sensei wasn't able to land a single hit on him, what makes you any different from them?" She asked, her arms crossed on her chest.

Naruto looked down with a defeated look on his face, "She's right... Itachi will kill me before I can even reach him... Kuso..."

Sakura's eyes soften, she placed her hand on his shoulder and gave him a gentle squeeze, "Naruto... I know you want to avenge them or something, but you can't, in time, who knows maybe you'll be able to, if Sasuke doesn't beat you to it... The only thing you can do right now is to make sure that the Akatsuki doesn't capture you... And also you have to find Tsunade because she's the only one who can save them", "Since I can't save them without raising any suspicion..." Sakura thought bitterly.

Naruto sighed, "Alright..." He said looking at his best friend with determined eyes, "I will definitely bring Tsunade back to Konoha no matter what, I promise."

Sakura looked down to hide the smile on her face, "I know you will..."

Kisame stared at the town in front of him with a deep look on his face, "Oi Itachi, can I ask you something."

The older Uchiha looked at him, "Nani?"

"When the time comes... Do you think Sakura will come home to us?" Kisame asked with a grave look on his face.

Itachi stared at him for a second before turning his attention on the town they abandoned to avoid angering their princess, "Hn... I don't know..."

Kisame shook his head and looked at the sky, "I thought so."
