Well it's time for Rin to tell her father about Mr. Takahata's proposal. Let's see how that goes!

So Father, May I?

Rin's POV

I had not informed my father about my final performance and fiddled with my slender fingers as I anxiously waited for him to come into my room, which he finally did. "Rin? You wanted to talk to me? Is everything alright, dear?" He sat down on the end of my bed and I sighed

"Papa . . . Mr. Takahata spoke to me yesterday."

"Yes I know. I spoke to him briefly about how your friends were doing after he spoke to you."

"And . . . he made me a proposal."

"Oh? And what was that?" I took a breath.

"He thinks it would be appropriate if I left my fans on a high note and he asked if I wanted to give one last concert before I . . ." I bit my lip and my father just sat there in silence. I could tell he was beyond upset, and I was too, but I wish he would give some form of acknowledge. He sniffled and blinked away tears.

"But you can't sing Rin, and what of your hair?"

"He said I could lip sync and they would give me a wig." He rubbed his forehead with his fingertips, trying to think.

"But . . . Rin. I . . . I don't know." I placed my hands on his forearm.

"Please, Papa! I am so unbelievably lucky to have lived my dream! Not giving everyone that helped make that happen a proper farewell would be beyond unjust!" He was silent and I just stared at him, begging him to give me this final chance. I felt another presence enter the room and I knew he felt her too as he looked up.

"Let her, Thomas."

"But, Lilly!"

"Dearest, she was able to do the only thing she wanted to do with her life. Let her finish her mission with the loved ones that helped her make that happen." My father was silent for a while before sighing. I stared at him, my eyes less begging.

"So, Father . . . May I?" I looked up at the ceiling, my mother's presence now gone, and then looked at me. He kissed the top of my head, wrapped an arm around my frail form, and hugged me close.

"Of course, dear." I smiled and closed my eyes and I nestled into him, a few tears slipping.

"Thank you, Papa."

Yay, Mr. Kagamine at last gave the all clear. It's understandable why he'd be against it, though. Here's his only daughter, dying in front of his eyes, and even in her condition she wants to sing. Poor guy, sad to say but it'll all be over soon. :( Please review!
