6: Test subject
Yusei woke up to feel very dizzy, his vision was completely blurry, and he had no idea where he was. He felt a pain in his neck and he tried to reach towards that area, but he couldn't move his arm. As his vision cleared, he starting to see that there were thick straps holding him down and a thick barrier of steel holding down half of his right arm, he tried to break free from his bonds and failed to do so. He was completely restrained with no chance of escaping.
A door was opened and he turned his head towards that direction. In the door way stood a man that was average height for a man, with grey hair, green eyes, glasses and dressed in a scientists suit. He walked over to the restrained teenager who was now struggling to get of the table he was strapped to. Yusei felt disgusted with the way the man was looking at him, like he was some sort of animal and not a human being.
"My, my, my, you are quite the fighter, just what I need." The man said, it was then that Yusei got a better look at the man, a few small details that he had missed from before. His eyes widened in realisation, he had seen this face before, and he was scared about who he was.
"Hans Hawkings," he said in a terrified voice, making the man, now known as Hawkings smirk in sadistic humour.
"I am surprised you recognise me, many would have forgotten after my arrest all those years ago. But enough of that, we need to make preparations now don't we." He finished, moving away from the restrained teenager to an other part of the room. Because of the angling of Yusei's body, he couldn't see what the ex-doctor was doing, but he didn't have to wait long until Hawkings returned with what looked like a needle gun. Yusei had no idea what it was exactly, and the elder seemed to thrive from his confusion.
"This quite a useful piece of equipment, it helps to implant chips into the muscles of people, but this is one I have adapted myself. It contains a much larger chip with a few...special improvements, now hold still." He said before tilting Yusei's head to the side, but it ended up with him holding his head in place because of the struggling teen. Then a very thick needle entered his neck where it joined to the shoulder, it was painful for Yusei, but then he felt something forced down in to his neck, causing him great discomfort. When the needle was removed from his neck, he could feel something in his muscles that was unnatural, then he felt a electric shot going through his body, it was brief, but still caused some pain.
"Remarkable isn't it?" The ex-doctor asked, taking the attention of Yusei from the pain and redirecting it towards himself.
"What was that?" Yusei asked after regaining his breath. Hawkings just gave a sinister smirk.
"That my dear boy, is one of my latest inventions, the shock chip. It has all the basic programming that a medical chip would have, like the person's medical history, but this one gives me better control over the person it has been implanted in." The man explained with such pride in his voice, acting like he held the world in his hand. Yusei was just starting to get scared, not knowing what this mad man was going to do to him.
"Oh I'm getting ahead of myself now aren't I? Well let us get started." When Hawkings finished speaking, three other people entered the room, each of them trays full of medical equipment and what looked like robotic parts. Yusei grew even more worried, he started to struggle more on the table, but then he felt a vibration going through his neck area, he was confused at first but then he starts to feel dizzy, he tries to shake his head to keep himself awake, and out of the corner of his eye, he could see the doctor smirking.
"By the way, the chip can inject anaesthetic in to the subject, have a nice nap, Mr Fudo." He said before the young teen finally stopped struggling and gave in to the black abyss of unconsciousness. The doctor gave a final smirk before giving orders for the others to begin their work.
The next morning, Jack woke up having a restless night, he didn't know why but he just felt like something was out of place. After he was dressed, he left his room, intending to go see how his brothers are doing but instead he bumped in to somebody else. Looking to who it was, he saw his new head of house.
"Sorry Mr Sennen, I wasn't looking where I was going." He said, felling slightly worried on what his reaction would be.
"That's quite alright, I was distracted myself," he answered, but then something else came to his mind. "Mr Atlas, have you seen your brother Yusei? He left his bag with me yesterday and I would like to return it."
Jack froze on the spot, his terrible night seemed to catch up with him now, but he had to be sure on what was going on right now. Instead of answering Atem, he ran past him to where Yusei's room was and walked right in. Inside, he saw that everything was neat and tidy, typical Yusei, but there was no sign of Yusei anywhere. Now he was starting to panic, he felt a hand on his shoulder brought him back to reality, he turned around and saw that Atem was right by him, and the look on his face told Jack that he already knew what he was worrying about.
"Lets look around and see what we can find, we'll find something okay," Jack just nodded, "Why don't you go get Crow, he has a right to know." Jack just ran off, leaving Atem behind to try and come up with a plan to find Yusei, he was hoping that he wouldn't need to use shadow magic, but if it came to the worst then he would use them, to save an innocent child.
In the abandoned dorm, Hawkings and his team were having a rest. They had completed the first stage of the project on Yusei after spending over 24 hours completing the first stage, what the first stage consisted of would make anyone but a insane person sick.
It involved surgically removing both legs up to the pelvis, the removal of the whole left arm, the right eye...and half of his brain. The removal of the brain was the most dangerous part because the person could die. So after the ex-doctor removed half the brain, he immediately began connecting robotic parts, forming a cyborganic brain in the young teen. The connecting of the brain took 15 hours to connect correctly without the possibility of malfunction. Of course when he would wake up, he would immediately be in excruciating pain.
"Excuse me Dr Hawkings, when do you believe the subject will wake?" One of his assistants asked, sitting at the table with Hawkings and the other two people, relaxing before they would move on with their plan.
"He should wake within 20 minutes," he answered, taking a sip of his drink. "Are the remaining parts ready for the operation?"
"Yes Sir, whenever you are ready to perform the operation, everything will be ready for you."
"Excellent," he said, but an agonising scream broke the concentration of the small group, there was nobody else in the building but themselves and Yusei, the answer to the scream was obvious, Yusei was finally awake, but his was in complete agony.
"Well, let us go and see how our subject is doing," Hawkings said before raising from his seat with his assistants, walking out of the room to check on the condition that Yusei was in. When they arrived at the room, it was apparent that the screaming was not going to stop any time soon, and their theory was confirmed when they entered the room.
Yusei was still strapped down, but not as much as before because of his missing limbs, instead he was thrashing as much as he could with being strapped down by his shoulders, chest and waist, the metal restraint was still on his right arm for safety reasons for the men experimenting on him. Hawkings was the first by the teens side to examine his specimen, Yusei was thrashing his head from side to side, screaming at the top of his lungs with half of his head heavily bandaged.
"Hold him," one assistant held Yusei's head still while the others were checking his vital signs and preparing equipment needed for the next stage, but Hawkings was too busy looking over the area in which he had implanted the cyborganic eye within Yusei's head, poking and prodding at it which caused more discomfort on the part of Yusei.
"Everything looks in tact, and feels like is still in place, pass me the scissors," a small pair of medical scissors were placed in his hand before he began to remove the bandages form the young teens head. Meanwhile, as the four men were busy looking over their test subject, hazel brown eyes were watching the scene with great interest and disgust. How these people could treat a fellow human being like this sickened this person to their heart, something that these people didn't have.
"The eye looks like it has bonded well with the muscle tissue, let's move to the next stage." Hawkings commanded, causing Yusei to out right panic.
"No, no, please stop, I'm begging you, no!" The teen began struggling with all the strength that he had left, the three assistants had to try to keep him still while Hawkings just stood there watching, the person watching had enough and quickly disappeared, but not before vowing to come back to save the young teen.
/Yusei Fudo, I vow to return you back to your family and away from this satanic prison, that I swear./ The person said in their head before finally leaving, heart clenching as screaming was still heard when leaving.
