8 elements: Anyway enjoy the next chapter! :)

7: The rescue

Days turned in to weeks, and weeks turned in to months, 5 months had passed and Yusei had gone through even more torture. Right after his robotic eye was installed in his head, Hawkings quickly began installing the rest of the cyborganic parts to the young teens body.

Following the eye, Hawkings first began attaching bases to where the joints in Yusei's body would usually be to help keep the new limbs attached to the body. The next limb he worked on was the left arm, but unlike the last time where Yusei was knocked out, he was kept awake this time. Since Hawkings was fascinated about the human body and how it functioned, he wanted to see how Yusei would react when he was securing the new arm to his body. Needless to say that Yusei was in excruciating pain, he was constantly struggling against his restraints with the assistants holding him down as well.

It all started with welding together all the separate parts and even connecting all the wires to the nerves and veins, from the shoulder all the way up to the brain, a sight that would make any normal person vomit uncontrollably, but then again the men that were performing all of these experiments were not normal.

Through out the whole five months, the mysterious person kept returning to check on whether Yusei was fairing alright, it was not very glamorous at all. But the person was able to help ease the pain when the 4 four men disappeared to rest, they would sneak down to the operation table where Yusei was left to try and ease his pain with some morphine and other pain killers. Yusei was barely conscious at the times he was given pain relief, but he was able to see the colour of the eyes of his rescuer, hazel brown eyes, not a very common colour.

But the person was not able to release him, and every time Hawkings would experiment on Yusei, the person was always there, waiting for the right time to release the abused teen from his tormentor. But it was too late to save his body as he now had all the cyborganic parts attached and was going through excruciating training program, maybe to make him the ultimate weapon. However, their plan was already made, all they had to do was wait for the right to execute it.

All the time that Yusei was missing, search parties had been organised to try and find the troubled teen, but no one seemed to find. Martha had been sent home because of her own health, her constant searching had taking its toll on the woman and she had to be sent home. Many of the students had helped in the search for the young teen, some even skipping lessons in the day time, some of those people were Jack, Crow, Jesse, Jaden, Zane and Jim. However none of them had found anything encouraging.

Today however, all the students were all in their dorms preparing for their winter exams, which meant even Crow and Jack were revising for their exams, only a little quieter than they usually would.

Meanwhile, Seto was in the main office of the academy with two very important people with him.

"Well Senator Izinski, I hope that your daughter will be pleased with the academy and hopefully join the student family." Senator Daichi himself held remarkable resemblance to Akiza, both of them had the same coloured eyes, hazel brown eyes with some similar facial features, but they had completely different hair as Akiza had a deep pink colour while her father's was a dark brown colour.

"I'm sure she will, what do you think Aki?" The older man asked his daughter who seemed to be hiding something, but was able to make sure that she wasn't suspected.

"I think that I'll be fine daddy, but may I ask a question Mr Kaiba?" She asked in a very polite manner, trying to make a good impression on Seto.

"That is fine Miss Akiza," he replied.

"Well, I was wondering if you could tell me about Yusei Fudo, I have been on the Island for only an hour and that name is about the only thing I've heard at the moment."

Seto was not that surprised that Akiza asked about Yusei, his disappearance was the top gossip on the Island at the moment and everybody knew about him.

"Well, he is a student here at the academy, but he went missing about five months ago after a detention, no one has seen him since then." He explained and Mr Izinski seemed shocked about it.

"Have you any clues to where he might be?"

"We have nothing yet, but someone seems to be leaving messages for the staff, claiming to know where he is, so far they have all been in riddles, and not even Atem Sennen could solve them." Seto walked behind the desk and opened one of the draws, taking out a single folded piece of paper and handing it to Akiza's father.

"This is the latest riddle," Daichi opened the paper and began to read, it read:

I am hidden, but in plain sight,

I am dead, but I have energy,

I have many rumours, but many more stories,

I have what you have lost,

2 stand but 1 has fallen,

This is the house of Satin, but the hell for God,

Grey, black and brown are my colours,

I stick out like a sore thumb, but nobody will suspect me,

My body may be abandoned, and my rooms bare, but my darkest secret is shining bright,

Once you had 4, but now you have 3,

What am I?

Daichi re-read the riddle a few times before tarring his eyes away from the piece of paper to look at an exhausted Seto.

"That is quite the riddle, not even the king of games could answer it?" He asked getting a nod to the younger man of the two.

"Daddy," he turned to look at his curious teenage girl, "May I read it, you never know, I might solve it." Seto gave a weak smile to the young girl.

"Akiza, if you manage to solve that, I'll make the captain of the school's duelling team."

Akiza seemed to like her chances, plus she found it would be nice if she could captain the duelling team, so she nodded in agreement, taking the paper from her father and reading the riddle.

I am hidden, but in plain sight,

I am dead, but I have energy,

I have many rumours, but many more stories,

I have what you have lost,

2 stand but 1 has fallen,

This is the house of Satin, but the hell for God,

Grey, black and brown are my colours,

I stick out like a sore thumb, but nobody will suspect me,

My body may be abandoned, and my rooms bare, but my darkest secret is shining bright,

Once you had 4, but now you have 3,

What am I?

The young girl seemed to get quite a few ideas straight away, but a few things seemed to stick out to her.

"Mr Kaiba, does Yusei have any brothers?" She asked, getting a curious look from Seto.

"He has two brothers in his dorm."

"I see, have there been any particular areas of the Island that have been the focus of superstitions over the past few years." This seemed to make Seto even more curious.

"Actually, there is the south-west part of the Island has had a lot of superstitious ideas."

"Right, well, a few things here stand out, the lines saying 'I am hidden, but in plain sight. Grey, black and brown are my colours. My body is abandoned, and my rooms bare, but my darkest secret is shining bright. Once you had four, but now you have 3. Those lines seems to be referring a building of sorts, that hasn't been used in a very long time and could be easily spotted."

Once Akiza finished speaking, realisation sunk in on Seto, now everything seemed to make sense, everything in the riddle seemed to be pointing to one thing, the old abandoned dorm.

"Daichi, your daughter is a genius," he said before quickly typing away on his laptop, making preparations for a possible rescue mission.

"What do you mean?"

"I'll explain later, but just follow me," so both of the visitors followed the young man, not knowing what he was talking about.

"Weakling!" A scream ripped through the atmosphere as Yusei collapsed on to the floor in agony. The young teen had been put through the most brutal training programs to make him the perfect weapon, but his limbs didn't have the chance to heal properly before the training started, and now he was put through pure hell.

"Get up you worthless piece of trash!" Hawkings yelled as he pulled the teen to his feet by his hair.

"I can't," he was thrown down to the ground where his face connected with the concrete floor, breaking his nose and causing a large nose bleed, which he tried in vain to stop with his human hand.

"I don't care if it hurts to stand, I gave you an order, now get up." Yusei did his best to stand, but it was not enough for Hawkings because he whipped Yusei's back with a leather strap, causing him to fall to the ground again. When he went to hit him again, the lighting to the room suddenly went out, causing some panic among Hawkings and the 3 other men.

"Be quiet," he commanded in a harsh whisper, standing by the door with his ear pressed against it, trying to hear if anyone was out there. As he was about to pull his ear away, he heard something in the hallway, it sounded like...hooves.

It was then that he moved away, with the intent of hiding Yusei but he didn't get the chance. When he was about to pick the teen up, the door was blown of its hinges, knocking him and the other 3 men over. Since Yusei was already down on the floor, he wasn't affected by the blast.

Before any of the men could recover from the blast, disciplinary action squad members rushed in and quickly apprehending the men, with about 4 dragging Hawkings out.

"No, you can't, my project isn't complete." He yelled, but it was useless as he was dragged out of the room and out of the dorm. When all the smoke had cleared, Jesse, Jack, Crow and Seto were left in the room. Jesse had his duel disk activated with Sapphire Pegasus on a card slot.

"Look around the place pal, just in case someone is still hiding." Pegasus nodded to his master before going to have a look around the old dorm, the three teens noticed that Seto wasn't with them. They turned to look around the room to see him holding a figure that he wrapped up in his trench coat, close to his chest.

"You three head back out, I'll join you in a minute." He said, leaving no room for an argument. Jack and Crow wanted to stay to see if he had Yusei, but Jesse dragged them out by his shoulders as they seemed to be reluctant. Seto heard the teens leave, but he was more occupied with the damaged teen in his arms.

Seto had wrapped Yusei up in his trench coat to cover him up and to keep him warm, he wished he had gotten there sooner as Yusei was not in the best of conditions.

"Kaiba," Seto looked down to see Yusei barley conscience, reaching up with his human hand to Seto, wishing that this whole time that it wasn't a dream. He intended to touch Seto's face, but his hand was pulled back down to rest on his on his reddened stomach, the contact was all he needed to know that his nightmare was over.

"Come on Yusei, let's get you out of here," Seto got a better grip on Yusei and picked him up, with one arm under his legs and the other around his back, making sure that he was wrapped up tightly before making his way out of the dorm.

Back in front of the old dorm, the four men had been placed in handcuffs and placed in separate cars, to prevent them from making any escape, the three teens were standing off to the side, making small talk with each other. Jesse had a thin brace going up his arm, since it was still healing, he was wearing it for support.

"How bad do you think he is?" Crow asked all of a sudden, Jack just sighed and ran his hands through his hair.

"I have no idea, I just want to see him." Jesse noted that both off them sounded depressed, but then again, it's expected when you haven't seen someone in months and suddenly returns.

"Mr Kaiba!" Someone shouted and all eyes turned to the old dorm, where Seto has just walked out with Yusei still wrapped up in his trench coat.

"Clear out one of the trucks," he ordered and some members of the action squad cleared out the back of one of the academy Jeeps, making room for Seto to get in with Yusei still in his arms. Jack and Crow followed closely behind him, trying to catch a glance at their brother. Seto seemed to noticed this and told them to hop in with him in the back, luckily there was enough room.

"Take us to the academy," he ordered and the vehicle quickly started to move, it was then that Jack and Crow saw Yusei. Seto had removed part of the trench coat to show him to his brothers. It was obviously under weight, his right eye was now robotic and seemed to be causing him great discomfort and pain. It was the same with his arm and legs, although the brothers couldn't see his legs, they could see a robotic left arm. Like before, where the parts were attached to his body, it looked like it was incredibly painful on the teen.

"Yusei," Seto whispered, which seemed to wake the teen from his pain endued pain, "Do you want to see your brothers?" He seemed hesitant at first, but he had been kept away from his family for so long that he couldn't take it any longer. He turned his head in the direction of them and saw their horrified looks, but he could also see some relief in their eyes.

"Hey," he whispered, not having enough strength to speak any louder.

"Hey little man," Jack replied leaning forward to hold his human hand.

"How you feeling wee man?" Crow joined in as he took a seat next to Seto.

"Glad to be out," he said but paused to catch his breath, "Not so happy with-those damn-nicknames." Jack and Crow smiled, after everything that he had been through, he still had his sense of humour.

"Okay you two, let him rest, he needs it." Both of the older boys slid back in to their seats, while Yusei got comfortable leaning against Seto, before getting the first bit of peaceful sleep he has had in months.

Yusei: Well, you were telling the truth after all.

8 elements: 'glaring' Hey, weren't you ever taught think before you speak.

Yusei: Yeah, but it doesn't matter here.

8 elements: 'reaches for a mallet' Well, please review while I go teach Yusei some manners.
