Hey! Sorry for the long pause, and the really short chapter. Had to get back in after the summer and all that.

On another note, I totally forgot how much homework sucks. School was kind enough to remind me.

.

As you could expect, watching the base wasn't the most interesting job in the world. After Kirkland left, Mathias cut the connection, leaving Gilbert and Alfred to entertain Feliciano until he got back. A job easier said than done.

"VE~! A spider! Help me!" The Italian screamed, and jumped onto a table. Alfred laughed, and stroke a heroic pose.

"Don't worry, I'll get it. I'm the HERO after all!" He confidently walked towards the Italian, but paled when he saw the furry monster. "You know what;" He whimpered, and backed away "I think I'll just protect you on the table instead." Gilbert was watching the events play out with great amusement, as Alfred retreated to the table.

"Kesesese! I can't believe you're afraid of such a small thing. IF you were awesome like me, you wouldn't- HOLY SHIEβE, IT'S ATTACKING ME!"

.

Mathias was driven back to the base together with the small henchman. The little guy was shaking so much, Mathias swore the car was vibrating from it. After he dropped the small one of in one of the cells, he decided to go join the others. He walked through the base, noticing that Kirkland had taken almost all the special agents with him. The only ones left were a couple of technicians, the staff, and then of course the others and him. It kind of made him proud, 'course it meant that they were the ones in charge. Right now, they were the strongest, bravest agents in the whole base. He smiled to himself, as he reached Kirklands office, and opened the door.

Inside the office was the bravest agents in the base, all huddled on top of a table, looking completely terrified. Gilbert was clutching the cross he had around his neck, and Feliciano was wildly waving a white tissue tied to a pencil. Alfred was holding his gun tightly.

"Dude!" He squeaked heroically, "Kill it! Kill it with fire!" Mathias just stared at him.

"What in the world are you talking about? Are we being attacked or someth- HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, WHAT IS THAT?!"

.

After a fierce battle, the enemy monster was exterminated, and the battle was won. The brave soldiers bowed their heads, to have a moment of silence for all those lost in the fight. The list included, but was not limited to;

The table (It could not hold the weight of four people jumping up and down)

One of Gilbert's boots.

The carpet. Deceased from heavy burns.

One of Mathias' hats, but he always brought a backup, so it wasn't a problem.

Feliciano's improvised white flag, that he had thrown at the wall.

A pile of books, and

A really expensive looking painting that Arthur probably wouldn't be too thrilled to find covered in bullet holes.

"He was a good boot." Gilbert sniffled, as he threw his leather friend in the bin. Mathias gave him a comforting pat on the back, as his little hat took the turn down the bin as well. The next one was already on his head though. Feliciano was rocking back and forth in the corner, waving the remains of his white flag, while Alfred was franticly trying to clean up a little before Kirkland would return.

Suddenly, the door flew open with a loud bang, and a frantic Kiku burst into the room.

"Kirkland-san!" He exclaimed, before realizing that said brit was not in the room, "Alfred-san? What's going on? Where's Mister Kirkland?" He asked, looking around as if Arthur would be hiding under the burnt carpet or something, "It is urgent that I speak to him. And what happened to the room?"

"Minor crisis." Alfred quickly explained. Kiku raised his eyebrows in response to the word minor. It looked like the office had been bombed.

"Eyebrows isn't here right now, he's out on a mission." Gilbert answered, "Why do you need him anyway?"

"It is very important. Code red emergency." Kiku said, "Natalia has escaped."

Cliffhanger!

I don't think there's that much left of this story. Just a bunch of action and stuff. Gotta love the action.

Until next time! (whenever that might be)
