Chapter 10: The rematch
Today was the day that the rematch between two of the best new comers of Duel Academy would take place, and word had certainly spread fast about the upcoming rematch. There was very few who didn't know about the rematch, but they would find out sooner or later, but that was not on the mind of Yusei, something completely different was on the young teens mind. His mind was focused on creating the perfect deck to defeat Chazz, along side his Elemental Wolf deck, he had an other deck that he was thinking about using in the duel.
"Hey Yusei," he turned his head to see Jesse leaning on the door frame of his room. He gave a small smile and then looked at his arm that was still in a brace.
"Hey, how's you're arm?" He asked, Jesse looked down to his arm and then back up.
"It's okay, still got about a month before I can take this thing off." Yusei gave a small chuckle before he went back to sorting out his new deck.
"Looking forward to the duel?" Jesse asked as he stood next to Yusei.
"I don't know, I'm just sick of the guy picking on me and my brothers. I guess I'm just nervous about dueling again." He placed some more of his cards in the order that he wanted to play them in.
"Is it because you haven't had a duel since your entrance exam?" The bluenett asked.
"I guess, plus I don't want a repeat of what happened after it," he replied before finishing putting his deck together, Chazz would have no idea of what hit him.
"Are you gonna use that wolf deck again? I mean, the last time you used it, everyone was amazed at how your monsters looked." Yusei smiled at the comment that Jesse made, but he had a little surprise for the people who would be watching the duel.
"No, I'm using my other deck," he replied, Jesse seemed surprised that he would carry a second deck, even when he had his elemental wolf deck.
"Really, I didn't think that you would use another deck considering what your other one can do."
"That's the thing, Chazz will be preparing for my wolf deck, but this time, I've got a whole new arsenal that I will be unleashing on him."
"Good point there Yusei, are you feeling up to it though. I mean, you only got discharged from the nurses office like yesterday morning," Jesse said and Yusei could understand the teens concern for his health, but he already had everything planned out.
"Don't worry about me Jesse, I've already taken my medicine for the day. I'll be fine." That seemed to make Jesse feel better, but he still held a small amount of worry for the teen.
"Well, if you think so, I'll see you at three. You still got two hours, I'd use them wisely." And with that, the teal haired teen left the room, leaving Yusei all by himself. True to his words, Yusei saw that he had about two hours until his showdown with Chazz, so he decided to take a nap to help him concentrate.
Later that day, Yusei met Chazz at the cliff for their duel. Like he had predicted, the entire school was there, even the teachers. Atem was there as well, Yusei thought that he would have something more important to do at the time, guess he was wrong. He also wore a leather glove on his left hand, hiding the mechanics from everyone around.
"Well, you actually turned up, slacker," Chazz sneered.
"Call me what you wish, but I am something more than that, but you'll find that out soon enough." No one except a few select people knew what he was talking about, and it did make them feel uneasy. The two shuffled each others decks before returning them, sliding them into their duel disks, which in turn activated the duel disks.
"Duel!" They both yelled before drawing their cards, the duel had now started.

"I'll go first, I draw," Yusei said as he drew his card, looking at it and starting to formulate a plan.
"I'll start by playing my Wolf Bandit in defence mode (L4 ATK 1500/ DEF 1400)." A wolf monster appeared on the field, wearing old Chinese battle Armour, with a sword on his back. He crouched down on all fours and lay on his stomach. Yusei ended his turn after that.
"Ha, if that's the best you got rookie, then that's just pathetic. I knew you were going to use those wolves of yours again, and this time, I'm prepared for them. I draw." Chazz said as he now looked over his hand, smirking the entire time.
"Firstly, I'll start with this, pot of greed, which lets me draw two new cards." He drew his cards after playing the spell card, now trying to act on a plan that he thought would counter Yusei's Elemental Wolf deck, if only he knew.
"Next, I summon X-Head Cannon in attack mood." A machine type monster appeared on the field, with cannons ready to fire. (L4 ATK 1800/DEF 1500).
"Now, X-Head Cannon, attack that Wolf Bandit." The monster launched several rockets at Yusei's monster, destroying the Wolf Bandit with a howl of pain. Chazz's monsters returned to his side of the field.
"I now set 1 card face down and end my turn. You're up slacker," he taunted as he and everyone else waited for the smoke to clear from the field. When it did however, everyone gasped.
Now standing where the Wolf Bandit used to be was an even bigger wolf, only this one had one eye, much more Armour and a battle hammer in his hand, ready to strike.
"What the hell is that?" Chazz yelled, and now it was Yusei's turn to smirk.
"This is my Wolf Boss. You see, when you destroyed my Wolf Bandit, since he was in defence mode, when he is sent to the graveyard, I can special summon Wolf Boss from my deck and place him in attack mode (L6 ATK 2100/ DEF 1600.)" Chazz growled, realizing that Yusei may have changed his deck from the elemental wolves to something completely different.
"It's my turn, I draw." Yusei drew his next card, taking a brief glance at it before looking back up at Chazz.
"To start, I activate my Wolf Boss special ability. You see, when he is successfully summoned, normal or special, he can destroy one face down card on your side of the field." Wolf Boss lifted his hammer up over his shoulder with all of his might before launching himself into the air, then bringing his hammer down onto Chazz's face down card, which just happened to be Call of the haunted. The Wolf Boss returned to his spot on the field as the smoke cleared.
"And in case that wasn't enough for you Chazz, I now play my Teleporter Pod spell card. This is a continuous spell and is quite a rare card in its own right, now I can summon any level monster I want from my hand, deck or grave," he explained and everyone watching the duel gasped. No one except his brothers new of this card, but they were anxious to see it in action.
"How can a card like that be real?! A slacker like you wouldn't shouldn't have a card like that!" Chazz exclaimed as Yusei just smirked and took a card from his deck.
"Say what you want Princeton, but it's true. But now I summon to the field Lord Shen of Gongmen City (L8 ATK 2500/ DEF 2000)." With a bright burst of light, a peacock appeared next to the Wolf Boss. It had a sinister look to it, with narrowed eyes, a royal robe on with the tail feathers laying against the floor, the feathers for his fingers held a sharpness to them, like knives.
"Nice, if he goes with the combo that he usually would do, he's gonna win the duel," Crow said to Jack from the place that he was watching the duel. Jesse and Jaden just happened to be close by and heard the comment.
"What do you guys mean? Has he used this deck before?" Jaden asked with some curiosity. Crow smiled at the teen while Jack gave a smirk.
"Oh trust me, his wolf deck is built for a quick defeat. But this deck is built for prolonging his opponents destruction," Crow explained before returning his attention to the field.
"Now with my Lord Shen and Wolf Boss on the field, I can play a field spell, Gongmen City." He placed the field spell in the slot on the side of the duel disk, then out from the ground came ancient Chinese looking buildings, but with a tower right in the middle of the setting, overlooking the whole scene.
"What does that do?" Chazz asked.
"You'll find out soon enough, but now I think it's time for a little action. Wolf Boss, attack X-Head Cannon with Hammer Storm." The Wolf Boss lifted his hammer once again before running on two legs over to to X-Head Cannon, leaping into the air at the last minute before his hammer collided with the monster, smashing it into pieces.

"Think you can take some more, because Lord Shen has a Feather Slash attack coming your way." The Peacock lifted its hand as razor sharp feathers appeared before he threw them directly at Chazz, causing the boy to stumble backwards as the attack ended.

"I place two cards face down and end my turn."
"About time slacker, I draw." Chazz looked over his hand before acting.
"I start by playing Monster Reborn to bring back my X-Head Cannon." Said monster returned to Chazz's side of the field. "Next, I summon Armed Dragon Level 3 (L3 ATK 1200/ DEF 900). And here's the best part, my monster had a special ability as well." Chazz now had a smirk on his face, now he would have a monster that would be able to take on Yusei's monsters.
"Now prepare yourself rookie, I now send my Dragon to the graveyard so I can now summon Armed Dragon Level 5 to the field (L5 ATK 2400/ DEF 1700)." He sacrificed the lower monster and in its place, came a much larger looking dragon, and this one had enough power to wipe out his Wolf Boss.
"Now get ready to say goodbye to your Wolf Boss. Armed Dragon, take down that mutt," Chazz yelled as the dragon launched into its attack, but Chazz noticed something was off, Yusei was smiling.
"I must say I'm impressed Chazz, but my Wolf Boss is here to stay," he declared just as the attack almost connected. One of his face down cards activated, revealing it to be negate attack, ending the attack and the battle phase.
"You got lucky this time rookie, I place one card face down and end there," Chazz said as Yusei drew his next card.
"Alright then Chazz, it's time to end this. First thing's first, using my Teleporter Pod spell card, I summon Gorilla Guard (L6 ATK 2200/ DEF 1750) in attack mode." The monster that appeared looking over eight feet tall, with dark blue fur, and old Chinese trousers and shoulder pads, the Gorilla Guard would be hard to get past.
"Not bad slacker, but he's not strong enough to beat my Dragon," Chazz sneered from his side of the field. Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the field, Jesse and Jaden looked at the monsters in awe. Jesse leaned over to whisper in Jaden's ear.
"How much do you bet that he forgot that Lord Shen can take down his Dragon?" Jaden gave a small laugh, but it was enough to grab the attention of the cocky Chazz.
"What are you two laughing at? He demanded, and Jesse decided to break the news to him.
"You do know that his Lord Shen has more points than your Dragon, right?" He asked and was still chuckling to himself with Jaden, and the look on Chazz's face told everyone the same thing. He had totally forgotten about the peacock as he built up his defense, a mistake that would cost him.
"I'm guessing from your silence that you have forgotten about Lord Shen Chazz, and to think, you're the one calling me a rookie," Yusei taunted and got some of the audience to laugh.
"If you think that is bad Chazz, then you'll love this. I activate the effect of my field spell," Yusei said as a rush of clouds descended upon the field, bringing heavy rain and hail with it as well. Everyone looked at the field in wonder, not knowing what was happening at the moment.
"What's going on? If you think a little weather change is gonna scare me, then you got another thing coming," Chazz said before all of his monsters were destroyed thanks to the heavy rain fall with the hail.
"What the!? What did you do?" He demanded and Yusei just gave a small smirk before answering the angry teen.
"It was my field spell Chazz, one of the effects had just activated. You see, when I have Lord Shen, Wolf Boss and Gorilla Guard all on the field, all of you're monsters are destroyed," he explained, getting a few gasps from the crowd, with comments being thrown in here and there.
"That's one cool effect."
"How many rare cards does this guy have?"
"You think he could teach me some new tricks?"
"Does he have a girlfriend yet?"
"I know I wouldn't mind being his girlfriend."
The last two comments made him feel a little uncomfortable, but he quickly shook it of as he had a duel to win.
"Well, now that you don't have any monsters on the field, I activate my Wolf Boss' special ability, so he can destroy that face down card of yours." Said monster launched in the air before bringing down his battle hammer on the card, shattering it into pieces. Now Chazz was wide open.
"Well Chazz, I must say I enjoyed this duel, but it is time to end this. Gorilla Guard, take him down with Thunder storm," Yusei commanded and the creature did just that. It ran over to Chazz on all fours before lifting his front legs into the air and bringing it's fists down on the boy, knocking him down as well as the rest of his life points.

Their duel disks deactivated as the duel came to a close, declaring Yusei as the winner. The spectators of the match were clapping and cheering after what they had just saw, but know were cheering more loudly than his brothers. It brought a smile to his face, but the happiness was short lived as someone did not like the ending of the duel.
"That's it!" Chazz exclaimed as he stood back up and charged at Yusei, knocking him down on the ground and getting ready to start his attack, only this time something was different. Yusei grabbed his fist before he could punch him and threw him off, allowing him enough time to get up. When Chazz got back on his feet, he went to charge at him again, only this time someone else stopped him, Atem.
"That's enough!" He shouted as he pushed Chazz away from Yusei, effectively cutting off his path to the young cyborg, although nobody but a small group knew this.
"I don't know what your problem is with Yusei, Chazz, but this has to stop. You lost fair and square, so just except it," he told the teen, who looked like he was even more angry than before.
"There is no way that is going to happen, that freak's win was nothing but a fluke," he said as he pointed at Yusei, who seemed angry and upset at what he had been called.
"Freak?" He asked, which grabbed everyone's attention, even the crowd of on lookers were still there. Yusei held a bitter look on his face as he he continued.
"A freak am I?" He asked again, getting confused looks from everybody.
"If only you knew what I actually am Chazz," he said before moving to the bandages around his head and began to untie them, with Jack and Crow gasping in shock. Once he untied all the bandages, he let them fall to the ground and looked up at Chazz, everyone around gasped in shock.
Yusei's right was now in sight of everyone, fully functioning. If that wasn't a shock to the people, Yusei started undoing the buttons to his jacket and took it off, along with the glove that was on his hand, revealing his robotics to the spectators of the duel. All of them were whispering, some were to shocked to even say anything. Yusei didn't care at the moment, he was just tired of all the bickering, fighting and name calling from Chazz, he just wanted him to shut up, and it seems like he had done just the trick.
Chazz stood frozen in place, he had no idea that Yusei was even like this. The only people in the crowd that weren't as shocked as the others were Jack, Crow, Jesse, Jaden and Atem.
"Next time Chazz, you may want to learn to think before you speak, it might help prevent you from ending up in sticky situations. Think about that," Yusei told him before gathering his belongings and leaving the cliff side, intending to head back to his room. With everyone else watching him, he didn't notice a set of eyes following his movements, a pair of hazel coloured eyes.
"I'm glad to see you're recovering Yusei, soon it will be for us to meet face to face," the person said before heading off in their own direction.
8 elements: okay guys, I'm sorry about the late update, but with school now and so many story ideas going through my head, it's going to be difficult to update my stories :(

Anyway, I'll update when I can guys, plus, Transylvanian nights will be taking a backwards step for now until I get some ideas for what I can do.
