So its almost been a year since I updated this one. I am sorry for anyone who alerted this but I hope it made you smile to see this in your email. I am not too sure who attacked Jimmy yet though so this is a filler.
I am so not sure if what is said here can be done but it is fiction. I have read a lot of stories here about the team screwing up but nothing is ever filed away. I think Gibbs would rather deal with his team personally then writing on a stupid piece of paper anyway.
Tim wasn't all that surprised when he was calling into the directors office an hour later.
"Sit down Tim" Vance told him and he obeyed.
"Mind telling me what happened downstairs?" he asked.
"It was a simple misunderstanding between teammates director" Tim responded and Vance raised a brow.
"I was told that Agent DiNozzo was screaming at you then he punched you and stormed off" Vance replied.
"It's not serious Director Vance. He only gave me a nose bleed and Ducky told me it wasn't broken" Tim answered.
"You can report him Tim, you don't have to cover his ass" Leon said and Tim shook his head.
"Tony's just been on edge since he found Jimmy lying by that tree sir. I don't think getting him into trouble will help" he answered.
"Tim…"
"With all due respect sir, can we please keep this off the record? Tony and I sometimes act like brothers and brothers do fight" Tim asks.
"Fine" Vance agreed reluctantly. Team Gibbs did do exceptional work after all and he'd rather not have Jethro down his throat anyway.
"Thank you sir" Tim said and left the room.
"Let me guess, the director wants to see me" Tony grumbled when he saw Tim walk by his desk.
"Nope, he said he'd let us deal with it off record" Tim answered.
"Really? You actually covered for me Timmy?" Tony asked and got a nod in reply.
"That's what teammates do Tony. We have each others backs" he responded.
"Thanks, I am sorry for clobbering you, I just can't believe our boss would turn his back on someone"
"I aint perfect DiNozzo and I don't need you defending me by punching my agent" Gibbs said.
"So Jimmy did come to you" Tim said.
He got a small nod. "He asked me how to deal with a bully and I told him that a real man figures that out on his own" Gibbs said.
Both of his boys give a small hiss. "No wonder Palmer didn't mention it to me or McGee, you pretty much told him he wasn't allowed our help" Tony said in shock.
"I didn't know he'd end up like this DiNozzo" Gibbs hissed.
"You still could have given him better advice Boss" Tim points out. Gibbs gives him a glare. "Ya think McGee?" he barks.
"Sorry boss, I just…" McGee answers with a little fear in his voice. His bravery is gone again as he remembers who he's talking to.
"Both of you come with me!" Gibbs barks and storms off.
"Way to go Timmy, now you're in trouble too" Tony whispers to Tim as they quickly follow.
