Hello, my dear readers! This chapter is in Thalia's POV specially requested from seaweedbrainlover1117. Honestly, it is my first time writing Thalia's POV. I have never tried it before. Really hope this first attempt is up to your standards, and that Thalia is not OOC.

To OwlNinja28: Wow, thats strange. I've only seen one other Singapore fanfic writer apart from me. Oh well, I suppose it's a small island :)

To ronnie07: I really hope this is the surprise you are looking for. Or maybe, you already knew this was going to happen :P

To LastPower46: Too late, you already reviewed. Hahaha. But I can only update once a week. Hedge? He would just run around screaming "DIEEEE CUPCAKES!" and waving his basketball bat ;)

To seaweedbrainlover1117: Percy is in trouble (no surprises there). As for whether Thalia and Nico will succeed, thats for you to find out. They say 'good always triumph over evil', hope it holds true in this story ;) BTW, remember your request to have Nico or Thalia's POV long ago? I found a place to fit in Thalia's POV for you :) Hope you like it. But it's my first time, so it might be OOC.

Thalia

Thalia had caught three squirrels as she walked up the forest grounds. She was following a stream upwards onto a slight hill. Percy, Katniss, and Peeta had gone in the opposite direction-down the stream.

Though she spotted fishes in the stream, swimming against the current, she didn't attempt to catch them. Percy would have been thoroughly offended if she'd killed some of his fish friends. So instead, she captured squirrels, shooting them out of the trees with her bow.

She estimated that about half an hour had gone by, and decided to return back to the meeting place with Nico and wait for the others. After all, she didn't need to worry about being late. Nico could just shadowtravel them back. It was handy to have the son of Hades around, as he could be her free transportation ride.

"Thalia!" Nico shouted in alarm from behind. "Something's wrong! We have to go back now!"

Thalia spun around, and saw Nico pressing two fingers to his temple, as though he was using some sort of telepathy. He looked worried.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"I can sense death. Like someone in this arena is seriously injured and going to die any minute now. Whoever that is, he is nearby. We have to check that the others are okay." Nico said hurriedly.

Shadows were pulled around Nico, surrounding him. Nico extended a hand to her, signaling that they were going to shadowtravel.

Quickly, Thalia took it, wondering what could possibly go wrong. She definitely wouldn't admit it in front of Percy, but she knew he was powerful. He'd taken down armies from Kronos's troops, and fought gods and goddesses alike. So a couple of mortals who didn't even know he was a demigod, would be a piece of cake for Percy.

But she also knew from experience, that Nico was never wrong when he said he could sense death nearby. Even before someone died, he could feel their soul slipping away. The only people nearby could only be Katniss, Peeta, or Percy.

Darkness engulfed her, and they were speeding through the shadows, so fast that she felt her face peeling off.

That left only one reason. Percy's stupid fatal flaw. Athena had once warned him that his fatal flaw of loyalty could possibly be his downfall. He would die for anyone, whether they were his friends or not.

A loud blast of cannon was heard through the arena. Yet another one tribute down. So Nico's deathly feelings had been right.

Only question left: who was the dead tribute?

Shadows disappeared. The fast moving feeling faded, and she was standing back at the meeting point that they had agreed on earlier.

Nico was catching his breath, and his stygian iron sword was drawn. His eyes darted from tree to tree, as though expecting something to attack him.

Except that there was no one there apart from the two of them. Even Percy, Katniss, and Peeta, who was supposed to be back about five minutes ago, was not to be seen.

Thalia took out two long silver knives, just in case something pounced on them. She had to be ready.

Then, a bright gold light flashed, forcing both Thalia and Nico to look away. When the light finally subsided, Thalia raised her knives ready to strike the attacker. She blinked, and saw a salt and pepper haired middle aged man. He had a caduceus in one hand, with two snakes wrapped around each other. It was the messenger god, the god of thieves and travelers.

"Lord Hermes." Thalia bowed. Nico followed suit.

"Quite right." Hermes nodded. He looked slightly annoyed at something.

"Why are you here? Do you have a message or anything for us?" Thalia asked.

Hermes sighed. "Well, I'm here because the gods have requested me to pass you a message. As though I haven't got enough to do yet. They're always telling me to do this and that."

"So what's the message?" Thalia asked impatiently.

Hermes rolled his eyes. "Okay. I'm getting to it now. The gods wanted to inform you that the gamemakers know that you three are demigods, and that they are trying their best to eliminate you all. They know that you are trying to start a rebellion, and are trying to prevent it as soon as possible."

"What?! How did they know this? And how are they going to stop us?" Nico interrupted.

"I was going to explain." Hermes said. "Remember long ago? When Kronos recruited mortals to his army? Well, apparently there was this one mortal, long dead now in the future, had children. Before he died, his passed on all this knowledge about demigods to his children, who passed it on to his grandchildren, who passed it on to his great grandchildren, who passed it on to his great great-" Hermes stopped and counted it on his fingers.

"We get it." Thalia cut in. "So one of his descendants are after demigods?"

Hermes frowned. "Yes. And they know about demigods too. Actually, since you are so impatient, I'll put it this way. President Snow is the descendant we are talking about here. He sponsored the career tributes, whoever they are, and gave them equipment to take you demigods down."

"No way!" Nico groaned.

"Is that all you have for us, Lord Hermes?" Thalia asked politely.

"Yes. Just one last thing." Hermes said sadly. "Percy Jackson has been captured by the careers. They control him now. You have to be warned about this. He is no longer on your side. He does not remember who you are. He is your enemy. This is Snow's plan, to turn demigod against demigod."

A bright light surrounded Hermes, and he disappeared, leaving his words ringing in Thalia's ears.

It was like having déjà vu, when something so similar was replayed. The last time Percy lost his memories was when Hera sent him off to camp Jupiter. But even then, Percy had his mind. He knew who his friends were, and who were not. Then, he could differentiate it for himself.

However, this time, Hermes had said he was captured by the careers. He had been brainwashed to be on the side of the careers, and marked Thalia and Nico as his enemy. Even worse, he was out to kill them.

Though when they had been practicing sparring in the training center a few days ago, Thalia and Nico had been able to beat Percy. But that was different, they were just practicing for fun, not aiming to kill each other. Now, Percy would be going full out on them, and yet, she and Nico couldn't just kill him, and have to take the defensive.

Nico looked at her, silently asking her what their next move was going to be.

"We'll find Katniss and Peeta first. Then we'll look for Percy. Try to get him back as soon as possible. The longer he stays with the careers, the chances of getting him to forget about them would be even slimmer."

She hoped, with all her heart, that Percy might have a little bit of conscience left in him. Otherwise, if he had fallen to the careers completely, it would definitely be hard to get him back, without getting hurt.

"Where do you think Katniss would have gone? Could she and Peeta have been caught too?" Nico asked.

Thalia thought for a while, trying to recreate what could have happened in her mind's eye. If Percy had been captured, it would probably be because he was trying to protect Katniss and Peeta. Knowing Percy, he would have tried to hold the careers back while he bought them time to run away.

Run where? It was only logical that Katniss and Peeta come back to the meeting point, to try and asked help from Nico and herself. So, if she wasn't wrong, they should be here.

Thalia was right. Just as the thought was formed, Katniss and Peeta sprinted out of a cluster of trees, straight to where she and Nico was.

"Guys! Percy's in trouble. We only just managed to run away as he told us." Peeta panted.

"We know what happened already. We had a message sent to us by the gods. Percy has been captured by the careers." Thalia sighed.

"No!" Katniss shouted, sinking down to her knees. "He tried to save us. He said he was going to be fine. I shouldn't have listened. I should've helped."

A flash of anger passed Thalia. Yes, Katniss should have known that was what Percy would say. Now because of Katniss, her cousin had been snatched to the careers. But she knew better than to be angry, they had to work together to get Percy back.

"We'll get him back if that's the last thing I'd do. Don't worry." Thalia said, determination flooding through her.

Peeta went to Katniss's side, comforting her, and murmuring reassuring words in her ear.

"Bring us to where you last saw Percy. We should be able to track him from there." Thalia ordered.

Katniss nodded, leading the way in front with Peeta, who had his arm over her shoulders.

Thalia and Nico followed their lead.

"When I find that Kelp Head, he's going to pay for all this trouble." Thalia muttered to Nico.

Nico grinned and nodded. "We'll split the payment. He'll be in for a real treat."

They walked pretty fast through the woods as Katniss was able to navigate with ease. Then, she stopped at a huge tree.

"Here." She said simply, "The district one boy held me here. Percy came to look for me, and he talked to the careers for a while. Then, they started fighting. He freed me by lunging at the boy holding me, while the district four careers ran at him with spears. But we left at that time, so we couldn't see what happened. I'm so sorry."

"It's okay. He'd been in dangerous situations before. We'll find him." Thalia said.

She examined the floor, looking for any sign of trouble. Many years of being a hunter of Artemis had taught her to look for signs on the ground.

The leaves on the ground were disturbed in a three meter radius. That was probably where Percy had stood while he was fighting.

"Hey look! There are blood trails here!" Nico exclaimed, pointing at a spot on the ground just a little way off the tree.

Thalia followed the trails, and found a pool of sticky red blood at the foot of a nearby tree.

"A tribute died here. I can feel it." Nico said. "But it's not Percy. It's a mortal."

"There! Someone fell hard onto the ground here!" Thalia said, going back to the place where the fight started.

"And there's a syringe left on the ground." Nico said, bending down and peering at an empty syringe.

Then everything was clear to Thalia at once. The pieces of the jigsaw puzzle fell into place.

"I got it. Percy was fighting, and a career tribute stabbed him with this syringe from behind, and injected the liquid Hermes said that would clear his memory. Percy fainted, fell onto the floor. But since he was too heavy for them to carry, they dragged him away along this route." Thalia explained, pointing at the tracks on the ground which led downhill.

They stared glumly at the direction Thalia pointed to. Now, the careers had Percy for an ally. A powerful ally, who had been brainwashed and is now out to kill everyone else.
