Humphrey's POV (In a small opening hugging the unknown she-wolf)
"Thank you so much, I don't know what I would have done without you." The she-wolf said in a soft, gently voice.
"You're welcome." I replied in a caring voice while breaking the hug looking into her magenta eyes, she did look cute but 'I love Kate, I couldn't fall in love with another girl... Can I?' I questioned my thoughts. "So where are you from?" I asked sitting on my forelegs.
"Well... I'm from the northern pack. I'm also the northern leader's daughter." She replied with a gently voice. I looked at her with wide eyes.
"Wait... you're the northern packs daughter?" She nodded "Oh god... this isn't good. Did you hear about the wolf that killed his parents and got banished?" I asked wondering if she knew about the "Story".
"Yes, in fact I did hear about that, though I feel really sorry for that wolf. I know he didn't do it because they found the real traitor." She replied with a sad tone.
"Well, what if I said that... that the wolf that was banished was m- me." I said slightly saddened due to my past being a horrible memory. She went wide eye this time and started to cry.
"I had no idea, I'm so, so sorry." She said bringing me into a tight embrace. I gladly accepted and cried softly into her shoulder.
"It's ok, I now live in the western/eastern pack. I'm happy" I sniffled as she broke the hug, I sat there looking deep into her eyes, her eyes where full of sympathy and... love.
"Well... it's all in the past now, thanks again for saving me." She whispered in my ear but quickly turning to my lips and connected her muzzle with my completely catching me off guard but I soon started to enjoy it, her lip felt like soft clouds woven by angels themselves. She quickly broke away looking in the opposite direction while blushing red, I soon came back into reality trying to get over the magical kiss.
"Wow... that was amazing, I'm speechless... Thanks, I really needed th-A-OUCH!" I pained, I quickly looked back at the source of the pain and saw a long metal rod sticking out of my left foreleg. (If you don't know what it is, it's an arrow).
"Run!" I yelled limping slightly while running; the pain flowed through my leg like there was poison coursing through that area. The she-wolf was running not too far behind me, we ran for 5 minutes straight until we reached Blade's den.
"What – was – that about?" She studded out, while dropping to the soft ground metres from Blade's den.
"Wait..." I looked at the arrow once again but the something hit me, a memory.
Flash Back
Me and Blade were playing tag at a nearby lake not too far from my mother's den, it was Autumn at that time, leaves falling off, changing colour, it was great jumping into piles of leaves and playing but all to soon it came to a stop when everything around us went silent. Birds flew away, water had seems to stop and the leaves were motionless, time felt as if it has stopped. Until a long black metal rod hit the ground inches from Blade and I, we were terrified to even move but luckily the black thing missed us again this time and after that thing hit the ground we went running, running straight into my families den.
End of Flash Back
"I can't let him find me again" I managed to say before collapsing to the ground and blacking out, the last thing I saw was Blade and the she-wolf running next to my side.
Blade's POV (Still heading towards his den after the 'Dare')
After a long jog back to my den, I saw the worst sight I could ever see. Humphrey on the ground unconscious, quickly running to Humphrey's side he had just passed out on me.
"Ok... what happened to him?" I snarled at the unknown wolf, she looked at me with a frightened look.
"M-My name's Melody, H-Humphrey saved me from a wolf that was going to -rape me" She managed to pain before she broke down in tears next to Humphrey.
"I'm sorry Melody, I didn't know. It's ok I'm sure Humphrey will be ok but what happened to him?" I asked getting curious as to what made Humphrey faint, she gestured me round to Humphrey's foreleg but once I saw the black metal rod I got scared, just remembering that memory still scarred me for my entire puppyhood.
"Can you promise that he will be alright err..." before interrupting "Blade" I added, looking at her , I knew instantly that she had feeling towards Humphrey which made me worry *Is Humphrey really going to fall in love again?* I thought questioning myself. "Well yes, he will be alright but we need to get rid of that rod sticking out before it gets infected" I answered before removing my log revealing my den.
"Is this your den then?" Melody asked, I nodded while walking up to Humphrey and lifting him onto my back but for some reason he feels bloody heavy.
"Bloody hell Humphrey mate, you need to cut down on your caribou." I moaned as I walk into the den and lied him down in the centre of the den. I walked back out and gestured Melody to come in, she accepted and waited to see what would happen.
"We need to get this rod out of Humphrey's leg but if he wakes up your er... gonna have to kiss him to stop the pain got it?" I asked sitting on my forelegs and turning to Melody who was walking up behind me.
"Erm... sure thing but how are we going to... GRRRR!" I said only to be interrupted by growling.
"Get behind me Melody" I said before jumping in front of Melody a little confused because I didn't see anything at the entrance of my den.
"Heh, sorry Blade haven't eaten in a while" Melody said while giggling slightly, I chuckled.
"Do you want me to go out hunting for us?" I asked with a smile.
"Nah, I'll get it myself..." Melody replied while smiling.
"Wait you're an Alpha?" I asked with a surprise, she nodded and smiled while walking out of the den looking back one last time to look at Humphrey, a moment passed and I saw a tear roll down her cheek as she continued to walk.
"Wait... before I forget, you need to get some big leaves and maybe a bit of tree sap if possible, I need it to wrap around Humphrey's leg. She nodded and sped out of the den.
Ok, ok, not the longest of chapters I know but, at least here it is. Humphrey's unconscious? The She-wolf is called Melody?. Also If you find any mistakes, PM me. It does help :)
