Periwinkle slid down a fern, gently frosting the delicate leaves when a large, white bird landed in the clearing. Startled, she looked up at the bird and smiled when she saw Lord Milori slide down the bird's back.

"Lord Milori!" She exclaimed and ran towards him, almost tackling him.

Chuckling, he pat her back as she hugged him tightly. "Alright," He choked, "That's enough, let me breath." When she looked up at him, he was surprised to see tears freezing on the young fairy's cheeks. Kneeling next to her, he spoke gently, "Hey there, are you alright?"

"I'm so sorry!" She bawled, "I never should have talked the others into going up that mountain! You could have died!"

Smiling slightly, he squeezed her shoulder, "Well I didn't, everything turned out alright in the end. You must be more careful Periwinkle, consider it a learning experience. You and your friends are alright and the avalanche did minimal damage, but no more sledding down dangerous moutains, alright?"

"Okay."

"I just came to check on you, Gliss, and Spike. Are they okay too?"

"Yeah," Peri laughed, "Spike is pretty mad that we ruined her sled, but Gliss and I are helping her build a knew one, so everything should turn out fine."

"That's good." Striding over to the fern Peri had been frosting, Lord Milori lifted one of the fronds, inspecting the white-coated plant. "You are doing a ver good job Peri, I have never seen a fairy advance as quickly as you."

"Thanks," Peri puffed out her chest proudly.

"I think you may be in line to become a supervisor over the other frost fairies in a couple years. Keep practicing, and we'll see how you do."

Eyes growing wide, Peri squealed in excitment, "Really?! Oh my goodness!"

"Okay, calm down. I have a small test for you."

"What?"

"I want you to go to the woods right near the boarder. The plants are warmer there from being so close to the warm seasons, so they are harder to frost correctly. I want you to stop working in the winter woods, it is too easy here for you, you will start frosting by the boarder. That part of Winter is a true test of skill."

"Yes Sir!" Peri saluted happily and leaped into the air, zooming towards the boarder.

Before she was out of ear-shot, she heard the Lord of Winter yell, "Don't cross the boarder! Stay well away from the Warm Seasons!"

Of course I will. She thought to herself. Only a fool would go near the warm seasons, when our wings get warm, they shatter! Everyone know that.

Sorry for the short chapter guys! But i promise I will be updating soon. I need to get batter about doing that ;)
