Once again a disclaimer: I don't own Tinkerbell or any of the other characters. Plz don't sue me ;)
For two weeks, Periwinkle had been working near the border, practicing frosting the warmer plants. At first, her frost would hardly stick and fall off or she would put to much on the delicate leaves and they would fall of. But she had stuck at it and now, she could frost the warmer plants almost as welll as the ones in the Frost Forest. Sometimes Gliss and Spike joined her, for they were the two best frosters in Winter, but they did not care about advancing, they preferred to stay in the Frost Forests and have fun.
Smiling to herself, Periwinkle leaned over a small sapling to inspect her work when she felt a twinge in her wings. Leaping upright, she craned her neck to see over her shoulder. What she saw left her speechless, her wings were glowing!
Spinning in a circle excitedly, Peri's wings lit up the grove. Just as quickly as the glow had appeared, it vanished. Surprised, Peri ran er fingers down her wing, feeling the delicate membranes of her wings.
"What was that?" She whispered in awe.
Lord Milori flew through the icy air, watching the snowy owls fly back from Spring with the baskets Fairy Mary had sent. These baskets were different then any they had received before. They had a new mechanism that could make the bottoms open up and drop the snowflakes.
"This will make delivering Winter to the mainland much easier." Milori spoke quietly to his owl who whooo-ed in response.
From what little news Winter heard about the warm sides, a new tinker fairy had invented the mechanism. She had arrived about the same time as Periwinkle had, and had a very special talent. But from what Milori had heard: the new tinker was just as troublesome as talented.
Lord Milori was interrupted from his train of thought by a loud shriek. Looking over, he saw one of the owls careening about wildly, dropping its basket clumsily and knocking over a full basket of snowflakes.
Landing Avalanche next to the mess, Milory raised one eyebrow in amusement, "And what happened here?" He struggled not to laugh.
"Sorry," The head animal fair, Sled, shrugged and pat the small, clumsy owl's feathers. "It is only his second flight."
The young owl dropped his head when Avalanche turned his deep eyes upon him, the other owls all gave Avalanche a wide berth.
Patting his owl to calm him down, Milori smiled at the new owl, "Well the basket is alright, so I'd say it is a success. Any landing you can walk away from is a good one."
Walking over to the Snowflake Fairies who were gathering up the spilled flakes, Milori gently took one of them out of a small fairy's hand. "These are beautiful," He smiled.
"No two alike," The fairy responded, puffing up proudly at the praise.
"Very good." Something bumped against his foot and Milori glanced down, startled. It was a wing book. Milori thought he heard a small noise as he picked it up and his suspicions were immediately aroused. "How very odd." He frowned in concern, "Someone must have left it in one of the baskets."
Even as he said the words, he knew they weren't true. Handing the book to Sled, he said, "Return this to the Keeper. He can return it to the Warm Seasons on his next delivery."
As Sled flew away, Milori felt his broken wing throb with phantom pain. Please no, his thoughts cried, Do not let this happen to anyone else.
Periwinkle burst through the Keeper's doors giddly, practically jumping up and down while in flight. "Keeper!" She called, "Were are you!"
"Hear I am," Dewy flew out from behind a stack of books. He seemed more jumpy than usual but in her excitement, Peri didn't even notice.
"You will never believe it!" She spoke in a rush, barely able to get the words out, "I was flying near the boarder when my wings! They were glowing!" As soon as she said it, her wings once again lit up with the beautiful glow and she gasped, "Look! They are doing it again!"
Out of the corner of her eye, Peri spotted a flash of green and she turned to see another fairy, this one much more colorful than anything in Winter. The strange fairy's wings were also glowing.
"Oh my goodness!" Dewy exclaimed, "I've written about duh sparkling but I've never a'seen it wif my own two eyes!" Grabbing both fairies by the hand, Dewy pulled them after him, "Follow me!"
As Dewy watched the two young fairies watch the story of their birth, he grinned, what a beautiful thing! To find a long lost twin. As soon as the sequence ended, Dewy heard Milori's voice calling to him and his eyes grew wide in panic.
"Stay here," He whispered in panic before jumping off of the giant snowflake and floating down to where the Lord was waiting.
As he flew down, he spotted a book lying unfinished off to the side. It was the book he was unable to finish, the truth of the border law. As he spotted it, his hand tightened around his staff. I won't let anything else end in tragedy. The tragedy in that book is not the loss of the wing, but the loss of a love. I will not let those two poor girls experience the same tragedy as Lord Milori, I can't let them be separated! For that is a fate worse than death.
Okay, I want your guy's opinions. Should I write that whole long part that's in the movie? Cause I don't really want to and we all know what happens, so should I just skip to the freeze? Or does everyone really want me to write everything up to there? Cause I will if I really need to -_-
