Chapter 21: The Knowing
Aliana: I hope you all remembered the thing I said earlier. And as you all know, a student has passed the test in enrolling to our section.
Tails: I wonder who will it be.
Mordecai: Let's just hope not to get our hopes up.
Aliana: I think you may all found out.
The door opened revealing a figure with violet hair. None of them reacted since they knew already the figure is. But for 9, he gasped in surprise.
9: Twilight Sparkle?!
Twilight: Elijah Oppenheimer?!
Aliana: My my, you two know each other. Well, this is quite a miracle for Ms. Sparkle. You can sit beside him and Mr. Membrane.
Twilight: Thank you, Miss.
Twilight sits beside 9 and Dib. She looked at 9. 9 looked down in embarrassment. The shocking revelation of the two made the students quite suspicious. How do they know each other?

Twilight galloped to her friends. 9 saw a blue Pegasus pony glaring at him slightly. 9 doesn't know why she was like that. Either she wants to have a clear vision or she's mad at him from something.
When Twilight and her friends left the library. Rainbow Dash went to Twilight to ask something.
Rainbow: Twilight, who's with you in the library a while ago? What does he look like?
Twilight: I was with the ragdoll.
Rainbow: Did he smell like he didn't took a bath in 52 years?
Twilight: *remembering* He did.
Rainbow: I knew it!
Twilight: What do you mean?
Applejack: That fella you've just met is Elijah Oppenheimer. The new student of Charles-Emile Reynaud School.
Twilight was a little curious at first. Who is Elijah Oppenheimer? And why does Rainbow Dash has a fishy feeling about him?
Twilight: What about him?
Applejack: Wait, you don't remember?
Twilight: *shakes her head* No. But his name does look familiar.
Rainbow: Remember the time you took the Quiz Bee last time?
Twilight: Well, yeah. I remember it. I was going to press the buzzer and all of a sudden I was in a hospital.
Rainbow: That's because you got shocked by Elijah.
Twilight: It's still hard to believe it though. You think Elijah could do such a thing?
Rarity: It's possibly inaccurate for him. He did pressed the device that shocked you.
Pinkie: And I was supposed to tell who did it!
Rainbow: And who would that be?
Pinkie: Isn't it obvious? It's Jet!
Applejack: Seriously? He is the bully but it can't be him. I just saw him sitting with his mother all time.
Fluttershy: Maybe he didn't do it, Pinkie. And maybe Elijah didn't do it either.
Twilight: It's still hard to believe but something tells me that incident isn't right at all. Like someone really did this not only for sabotaging the Quiz Bee. I think it was more than that.
Rainbow: Like what?
Twilight: One of the school faculties told me that there's a clean slash on the fuse box of the auditorium. The device under Elijah's table is only a lightning rod that was melted before the Quiz Bee starts. Those cords under the contestants' table helps direct the electricity that shocked me including the other contestants but Elijah. I think the reason Elijah is immune of the shock because he's a ragdoll while the rest of us we are able to conduct electricity by our bodies.
None of the ponies understand of what she said, unfortunately. She looked at the book that 9 gave it to her. Applejack looked at the clock. It was getting late.
Applejack: We better hurry. We might caught by the principal and get detention for that.
Fluttershy: And Twilight will never get her test.
At Twilight's room, Spike was seen helping her sorting the books Twilight borrowed for tomorrow. Twilight was busy studying to her test. But there is something is in her head while studying. She then looked at the book that 9 gave it to her. Since she was already done studying, she picked the book and decided to read it. Knowing why 9 chose that book. It was a poem.
For a few minutes, she now know why 9 chose that book. Spike saw Twilight staring at the book. She was currently staring when she was actually thinking. Spike waves his hand in front of Twilight.
Spike: Twilight? Twilight?
Twilgiht: *snaps out* Yes Spike?
Spike: You've been staring on that book for a while. What's in it anyway?
Twilight: Oh this? It's a book a student gave it to me.
Spike: Who?
Twilight: Elijah Oppenheimer.
Spike: Elijah Oppenheimer? I've heard that name before! He's the guy who enrolled in Section Anima. And the guy who smells like he didn't took a bath in 52 years.
Twilight: Section...Anima? *skeptical* Are you serious?
In the school's faculty room, Aliana was seen discussing to Princess Celestia about something. She was holding Twilight's test papers.
Aliana: I must say, Your Majesty. Twilight is quite an intelligent student.
Celestia: Indeed she is. She must have passed the test this time.
Aliana: That's why I am here. She didn't passed the test. Again.
Celestia: *closes eyes* I understand.
Aliana: However, I want her to be in Section Anima with your permission. She may not passed the test. But I think she is handy for Elijah.
Celestia: I see. How is Elijah?
Aliana: He's fine however. He might be suffering a disease your student has. I think she might cure it.
Celestia: Twilight learned 'Friendship' by her friends. Elijah learned 'Loneliness' by the incident. But, are you sure that Twilight can cure Elijah's sickness?
Aliana: It's a best to try.
Suddenly, there's a knock on the door. The door opens revealing Twilight.
Twilight: *surprised* Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't know Ms. Divino is here with you. I should go outside first.
Aliana: Actually, we were talking about you. It's about your test.
Twilight: *shocked* My test?
Celestia: Yes, Twilight.
Twilight: So...did I pass?
At while that. A scream was heard.
In the present, Twilight, along with the Section Anima students, went to their dorm led by Aliana. When they reached in the living room, Aliana stopped and facepalmed herself.
Tails: Ms. Divino, are you okay?
Aliana: *groans in frustration* How could I even forget! I forgot to make a room for Twilight.
Kyoko: Does that mean she'll sleep in the couch?
Aliana: Perhaps so.
9: Ms. Divino, I can sleep at the couch. Twilight can sleep at my room.
Aliana: Are you sure?
9: *nods* Yes.
Twilight: *thinking* Thank you, Elijah.

Twilight looked around her knowing who said that. Where did it come from? And who said that?
Twilight is sleeping in 9's room. The room was alright in 9's point of view. But for Twilight, the place almost looks like her home because of 9's library like bookshelves. And yet it looks so mysterious.
She looked to the surroundings and saw a thing that she knew. The book. She was going to pick up the book when all of a sudden the lights go out. She was surprised but luckily she used her horn as a light.
The ground shakes that made her fall down. She was wondering if it's an earthquake when some multicolored lights she saw from the ceiling. She looked outside from the window and saw some people in colored cloaks. Except the one who wears a green cloack already. Those people were fending off a monster that is right outside of the school. No wonder the lights went off. She went to the door and tried to open it. But it was locked. Looks like someone didn't want her to get out when the monster is here.
She went to the window again and saw the people are having a hard time defeating the monster, especially the green one. He looked like a first timer in this. Every strike of his attack is useful for the team but not for himself sometimes.
And then she saw something shocking. When the monster punched the green one, the hood of his cloak went down. She gasped at the face of the figure.
It was 9.
Meanwhile, 9 recovered from the attack the monster gave him, he saw something by the window. But when he looked again, all he saw was nothing. The monster is going to blast 9, 9 didn't moved because he still wondering who would be peeping out of the window. Dib saw the monster is about to blast 9.
Dib: Elijah! Look out!
9: *looked to Dib* Wha-
A white light flashed before him. The blast was strong that it hit to the tree.
Twilight was seen hiding just as before 9 looked to her. She has thoughts in her mind. For each time of the year some monsters came and ravaged the city. But somehow a group of vigilantes came to save people. It mostly happens at night but sometimes at day too. It was supposed to be 8. But a 9th? Where and when did that come from?
Twilight peeped again at the window and saw 9 who is unconscious. He was laying on a burned tree motionless. The others were shocked at what happened to him. They saw the monster is heading towards 9 who is still motionless from the attack.
She hides again of having a curious thought in her mind.
Elijah?

In a place unknown, a girl with long black hair with earphones is watching a video in her television. She smirks as someone is about to be crushed by the monster. Or in this statement, 9 is about to be crushed by the monster. Her face shows sadism as she sharpens her sword. She paused the video and points her sword to 9.
Unknown: The time has come to get you. *laughs evily* You thought you can hide everywhere and no one will find you. But you're wrong! Because I now found where you've been hiding! I should have killed him before you came. You are unable to get out right now, but I know a perfect solution on how to get you out! Starting by suffering the one I was supposed to kill.
The girl looked at a picture she was holding. She stood up and switched the lights on. She looked at the wall with lots of pictures of the students of Section Anima. She looked at the picture revealing 9 while looking a picture of Dipper. She wrapped a red thread on the picture of 9 and pin it beside Dipper. She put a black pin on Dipper connecting to the thread that wraps 9. She then looks at the wall and smiles evilly.
Meanwhile, 9 is still unconscious from the attack. As the monster is going to blast 9 again.
You could see the gem on 9's brooch begins to taint.
