Okay, I'm going to compromise. I'm going to skip the whole part with Peri and Tink and pick up right after Peri goes into summer :)
Milori was walking through the Frost Forests, looking at the beautiful designs and enjoying the quiet when frantic whooo-ing made him look up. His pet owl landed in front of him and beat it's wings fearfully.
"Oh no," Milori gasped, only one thing could happen that would make his bird so frantic. Leaping onto Avalanche's back, they soared off towards the boarder. From the sky, he could see a group of warm fairies carrying Peri towards Winter.
Landing seconds after Peri and two warm fairies crossed into winter, he raced towards the young fairy who was flushed and panting. One of the warm fairies saw him and called out in fear, "Please, can you help her?"
Sliding onto his knees next to Periwinkle, he inspected her wings as she looked up at him, panting and scared. He barely noticed when black haired warm fairy pulled the other one back across the boarder, he was so intent on studying the young Frost fairy's wings for any sing that they were fractured or beyond repair.
"Spread your wings," He ordered quietly. "Let the cold air surround them." She did as he told her to while tears grew in her eyes. Seconds later, her wings lost their wilted appearance and he lifted her to her feet.
Fluttering her wings, she lifted off of the ground and he held out his arms in case she fell.
When it was clear she would be alright, the blond fairy on the other side of the boarder exclaimed, "Your okay! Your wings are okay!"
"Yeah," Peri spoke giddily, but the fear was still present in her voice.
Fighting down the anger which rose inside of him, Milori growled, "This is why we do not cross the boarder!" He looked intently at every fairy present, making sure that they understood what he was saying.
"No!" Peri gasped, hope filling her eyes. "It could have worked! We just needed a bigger piece of ice."
"And when that was gone?" Milori tried to speak kindly to her, knowing well the wish to see the other side. But at the same time, his broken wing pounded with a dull ache, reminding him of what crossing would cost her if he did not put a stop to it. "Your wings could have broken."
"But they didn't." She glanced down, trying to be respectful towards the gentle leader of Winter. "I... I'm fine... Thanks to them."
Looking out across the boarder, Milori silently stared at the warm fairies standing on the other side. "The rule is there to protect you." He spoke kindly to them, but stared at the blond fairy with ice in his eyes. "I'm sorry. You two can never see each other again." He turned forcfully and walked away from them, his wing reminding him every step of what crossing meant.
"Please don't do this!' His heart broke when he heard Peri's voice call after him. "We belong together!"
"We're sisters." The blond fairy spoke frantically, making Milori stop dead in his tracks.
Sisters? A single tear ran down his cheek as the blond fairy spoke once more.
"We were born of the same laugh."
I wish there was no boarder law as much as you two. He thought to himself, however, it is not my rule to get rid of. Blinking his tears away, he spoke harshly, "All the more reason you should want to keep each other safe. Return home."
Peri swiped at her face as tears gathered in her eyes and the black-haired warm fairy spoke gently to the blond one, "Come on Tink, let's go home."
"No!" Tinkerbell exclaimed, and Lord Milori stared at her wide-eyed. This was the same brilliant fairy he had heard about, the one who caused so much trouble. Tink's face grew red as she clenched her fists, "Lord Milori!" She yelled, "Your rule will not keep us apart!"
"Tinkerbell." The kind, sweet voice spoke from behind the other warm fairies and Lord Milori froze in shock. His true love, the one he had not seen in a hundred and fifty years: flew not three feet away. "This is not Lord Milori's rule, it is mine."
Lord Milori barely heard Tinkerbell's protests or the Queen's apology, all he could do was stare at her. When his heart felt like it could stand seeing her no longer, Lord Milori looked down at Periwinkle and spoke softly, "You should get farther into the cold, back past the North Mountain."
Nodding, tears frozen to her cheeks, Peri took a couple steps and froze. Turning back to look at her twin, Peri raced towards her, hugging her tightly, both girls were crying as the separated and flew away. The other fairies followed and soon, only the Lord of Winter and the Queen of pixie hollow were left standing there, neither able to look away.
I will never turn my back on you. Milori remembered a promise he had made to her so long ago as he stared up at her, silently begging her to say something. For a second, she seemed like she might, then her eyes fell to the owl feather cape he wore and her eyes flooded with tears and guilt. Turning away from him like she had a hundred and fifty years before, she raced off into Autumn. Milori stood there long after he could no longer see her golden glow.
Sighing, he mounted Avalanche and took to the air. Swinging back around, he had the bird drop down and knock Tinkerbell's snow machine into the half frozen river.
"This will never happen, ever again," he whispered to himself.
Milori followed Periwinkle to Dewy's library, knowing he needed to explain the truth to her. The moment he entered, Dewy motioned up to a giant snowflake.
Biting his lip, Milori whispered to his old friend, "How am I supposed to get up there?"
"There are stairs along the wall," Dewy waved in the direction of the stairs before turning his eyes back to the book he was writing. As soon as Milori stared walking away, Dewy lokked up, staring at his friend's back with pity in his eyes.
Milori stood at the edge of the giant snowflake in Dewy's home, watching as Peri stared at the memory of hers and Tinkerbell's birth, as the scene ended, she heard his quiet footsteps and looked up.
"Lord Milori... Why?" She stared up at him with swollen eyes.
"Periwinkle, he sighed and kneeled next to her. "When pixie hollow was very young, two fairies met and fell in love. One was a Winter fairy, and the other was from the Warm seasons. The two fairies were enchanted with each other, and every sunset they met at the boarder where spring touches Winter. But as there love grew stronger, they wished to be together and share each others worlds."
Gulping, Milory stared at her intently, "One of them broke a wing, for which there is no cure."
Standing up, he turned away from her so that she could not read the truth in his eyes, "From that day forward, Queen Clarion decreed that never again shall fairies cross the boarder. And I agreed that our two worlds should forever remain apart."
"A... and the two fairies?" Peri hiccuped, "What happened to them?"
Hanging his head, Milori responded, "They had to say goodbye."
