Oreki san is such a nice friend.

I should be grateful for that.

After we said goodnight to each other, even though it was very early in the morning, I felt all alone.

My bedroom suddenly felt empty, as if Oreki san had been there earlier, and left.

Surprisingly, I was not even the slightest bit sleepy.

I laid down, and stared at the ceiling.

I have never done such a thing before, but without realising, the sun rose.

I sat up and rubbed my eyes, thinking.

If it weren't for Oreki-san..

When I stepped out of the house, Oreki-san was waiting for me on his bicycle.

"Good morning," I bowed.

"Good morning... Let's go."

I sat on my bicycle and rode beside him.

It was a pleasant morning. But even so, I felt so afraid.

Thankfully Oreki-san offered to pick me up.

"So Chitanda,"

"Ah, y-yes?"

Oh no, I was spacing out!

"What.. what were you doing at that park the other day?"

Oh.. that was because..

"Were.. were you on a date or something..?"

I glanced over to Oreki-san, who looked the other way.

And then, I felt myself burning up.

"No! I wasn't- I didn't- No!"

Oh my, I must look like a fool!

"O-okay.. "

We rode on in this really awkward but slightly comforting silence.

"O-Oreki-san.."

"Hmm?"

...

I just blurted out his name for no reason.

"Ah, it's.. it's nothing,"

What is wrong with me?

A/N: Hey guys! Thanks for the reviews, it really means a lot to me! So sorry for the delay, but I finally put it up! uwu
