A/N-I DO NOT OWN THE NAKED BROTHERS BAND!
Hey guys!
So I've been getting some questions lately so I need to answer them:
1. You can get all three seasons of NBB (and the movie) on iTunes. There are some episodes on YouTube, but they aren't complete or in very good quality. And you can get the movie & the first 2 seasons on DVD on Amazon. Season 3 isn't available on DVD.
2. I'm not sure when I'll post "Just A Face in The Hall." Most likely I'll post it when I finish this story. But I'll let you guys know. (:
Nat's POV
Dr. Brennan gave me a prescription for what I needed, and he led us out to the waiting room where Jesse was waiting. "Are you guys okay?" She asked looking at all three of us.
"We're fine Jess," I spoke up.
Dr. Brennan told Jesse what he told me, and Jesse promised to see to it that I took all the right medication and that I would come in periodically so that Dr. Brennan could make sure I was doing okay. But I knew Jesse wasn't that responsible so I thought I would be okay.
Jesse drove us to pick up the pain medication and then back to the apartment which was still a mess, but I didn't care. Rosalina and Alex helped me to my bed, and I was more than happy to be there.
"Why do I feel so weak?" I asked, looking up at Rosalina. It was true. Since the police took my dad away, I'd felt weak and almost sick.
"How many times did you throw up exactly?"
"Only once," I lied.
"Nat."
"So maybe three times."
"You're probably dehydrated," She said. "You need to drink water, or eat something."
"I don't feel like eating anything right now…"
"Hold on, I'll be right back." She walked out of my room for a few minutes and when she came back she was holding a box of crackers. "Here," She said handing it to me.
"Rosalina, I don't–"
"Would it kill you to eat like, five of them?"
I rolled my eyes as I opened the box. "Okay bossy," I joked.
"Well I care about you!" She said giving me a look.
After eating more than I'd actually intended to, I finally put the box down.
"Feel better?" She asked.
"A little," I sighed dramatically.
She laughed since she knew I was faking. "Oh poor Nat," She said in a baby voice.
"It is 'poor me,' I can get up or anything!"
"You'll live, I'm sure."
I shrugged.
"So how are you feeling?"
I shrugged again. "Okay, I guess."
"Maybe you should start taking that medicine now," Rosalina said, sitting on my bed.
I shook my head.
"Nat you're going to have to some time, and you'll feel so much better when you do."
"Maybe later," I shrugged for the third time.
"Nat."
"Rosalina."
"This isn't funny, this is your health."
"You sound like the doctor."
"Because the doctor is right, Nat, you can't just blow off this kind of stuff."
"Watch me."
"Nat," She said, giving me a look. "Please take your medicine, for me?"
"Fine," I sighed. "I–"
"Rosalina," Jesse said, coming into the room. "I think Nat needs some sleep."
"I agree," Rosalina said, getting up from the bed. "I'll be right out."
Jesse smiled at us and walked out.
"Take your medicine, okay? I'll be back tomorrow."
"What about school?"
"I'll come by in the morning and during lunch and then right after school."
"And Alex–"
"I'll make sure he gets to and from school, Nat, relax."
"Well who knows maybe I'll be okay to go to school tomorrow."
Rosalina gave me 'Are-You-Kidding-Me?' look. "You and I both know that's not happening."
"Can't you just pretend it's possible?"
"Whatever you say," She said, leaning down to kiss my forehead. "So are you going to take your medicine or do I have to shove it down your throat?"
"Geez, what made you so violent?"
"I care about you, and you're stubborn."
"Whatever," I said, leaning back against my pillows.
"So are you going to take it or not?"
I shrugged.
She sighed, rolling her eyes and walked towards the bedroom door.
"Wait, where are you going?"
"I'll be right back."
I waited in silence for Rosalina to come back and when she did–about a half an hour later–she had a glass of water in her hand.
"Here, drink this."
"What is it?"
"What does it look like? It's water, Nat."
"Why do I have to drink it?"
"Oh I don't know…hydration? Your health?"
"What's wrong with you?"
"You're asking stupid questions," She joked. "Now drink it."
I took the glass from her hand, but glanced at the water suspiciously.
"Nat, c'mon."
I rolled my eyes and drank until the glass was empty. "Happy now?"
"Very," She said, giving me a smile. "Goodnight Nat." She walked towards the door.
"What do you mean?" I asked, giving her a confused look.
"Oh uh, I mean you know, I won't be here later. I'll see you tomorrow." She flashed another smile at me before she disappeared out the door.
I just shrugged off what she said, and sat in my room, completely bored. After a while I began wondering when Jesse would come in to make me take my pain medication, but then when I started to get incredibly sleepy, I realized what exactly Rosalina meant by 'goodnight.' And as I slowly fell asleep I only thought one thing:
I'll get her back for this.
~NBB~
"Nat…wake up. C'mon, I know you can do it."
I slowly opened my eyes. Man am I tired. I rubbed my eyes, stretched and when I finally focused, I realized Rosalina was sitting on the edge of my bed again. "You tricked me…" I mumbled, still trying to wake up.
"Nat Wolff, I did no such thing." I could hear her trying not to laugh.
"Liar," I said, rubbing my eyes again. "You drugged me."
She finally let out a laugh. "Not exactly, I thought of it but Jesse consented to it."
"Jesse also consented to leaving me and the guys alone without any supervision when we were eleven," I said sitting up slowly.
"What's so bad about that?"
"We were hyped up on three days' worth of sugar."
Rosalina shook her head, still smiling. "Well, you wouldn't take the medicine so we had to get in you somehow."
"Pain medication doesn't make you sleep though, does it?"
"We may have done something to it."
"Remind me to never accept anything from you ever again."
"Oh c'mon, you honestly think I'd try that trick again?"
I shrugged. "I don't know, I never thought you'd try the first time!"
"I just have to keep thinking of different ways to get you to take it. Don't worry you'll never see it coming."
"Yeah I will. I'll see it coming when I'm passing out."
She shrugged this time. "That's okay, sleep does you good."
I rolled my eyes.
"But you feel better though, don't you?"
I debated on whether or not to give her satisfaction after she practically drugged me. "Eh," I said shrugging.
"Do I have to ask Dr. Brennan to give you something stronger?"
"No!" I shouted a little too loudly.
She grinned, giving me a look.
"I mean…no, I'm fine," I said calmly.
"That's what I thought. So you slept well, I'm assuming?"
I nodded. "Like a rock."
Rosalina laughed again. "I'm glad you're feeling better." She stood up from the bed. "I'd better go though. I'll see you at lunch okay?"
I nodded. "You'll make sure Alex is okay?"
She nodded. "Sure…oh and hey, what do you want me to tell the guys?"
I sat silently for a few minutes. What was I supposed to tell the guys? You can't tell them you were being abused. It's bad enough that Rosalina knew. It's bad enough that Jesse had to find out. It's worse enough that you've got a doctor on your back because of it. "Uh…well…um…"
"I'll cover for you," Rosalina spoke up. "I'll say you got into another fight or something."
I smiled gratefully at her. "Thanks."
"I'll see you later." She walked out of the room.
I sighed and lay back on my pillows again.
"Oh and hey Nat," She poked her head back into my room.
"Yeah?"
"Want a glass of water?"
"Get to school, Tai."
She smiled. "See you later."
