A/N-I DO NOT OWN THE NAKED BROTHERS BAND!
Hey guys!
So I think I'm just gonna start updating every Saturday or at least around then. Sound good?
Nat's POV
"At least no one's dead," I said, taking one of her hands so she couldn't play with the loose thread anymore. "That's your main concern."
"But you don't understand," She snapped, pulling her hand away from me, and standing up from the bed. She began pacing around my room. "I said such terrible, ungrateful things to him before he left, don't you remember? And now I don't know if I'll ever be able to take them back or even apologize. What if he's hurt? What if he lost, confused, unconscious, lying in a coma or dying somewhere in a hospital? And I was so rude to him….so cruel…I didn't even say goodbye…" She stopped pacing and locked eyes with me. "I didn't even say I loved him," She whimpered.
"Rosalina, come here," I said softly, patting an empty spot next to me in my bed.
She slowly walked over to my bed, and carefully crawled onto it, and laid next to me, resting her head on my chest.
I put my arm around her and stroked her hair. "He knows you love him," I assured her. "Wherever he is, he knows."
"But what if I never get to apologize? What if he never forgives me?"
"You will, and he will, no matter what."
"You don't know that," She said, and I could tell she was holding back tears.
"I do, because he's your dad. He'll come back. He'll be okay."
"But what if he doesn't?"
"He will." I looked down at her. "How're you holding up?"
"How does it look?" She asked. "I look like crap. I feel like crap. I may have slept all night but I'm still exhausted from crying. I'm missing school, and I've been so wrapped up in my own problems, I haven't even asked how you are."
"You still look beautiful to me."
"Nice try," She mumbled, burying her face. "But I look like crap."
"You do not."
"Do too," She shot back.
"Rosalina what I say goes and I say you're the prettiest girl in the entire world."
She laughed, looking up at me. "Well thank you."
"There's a smile," I said, smiling down at her.
"How are you?" She asked suddenly, looking worriedly at me.
"I'm fine, I'm perfectly fine."
Rosalina moved so her head was resting on my chest again. "You're lying but okay."
"Don't worry about me."
"No, I'm going to worry about you because I care about you."
I sighed. "Just don't worry too much."
"Okay, I'll try," She joked. "How are you really?" She hadn't moved from her position of lying next to me.
"I told you, I'm fine."
"Have you taken your medicine?"
I didn't respond.
"Nat."
"I…um…"
"Do you want me to go get it?" She asked, looking up at me.
"No, no, I'm fine. Really, I am. I'm actually not in pain right now. Just a little sore, but I can handle it."
"Well tell me if you need it, okay?"
"I will, I promise, just relax."
She rested her head back down on my chest and sighed.
"Are you tired?" I asked, continuing stroking her hair.
She shrugged. "I don't know what I feel right now. I'm just…so confused with this whole thing with my dad."
"It'll be okay," I said. "You're just a little shaken up, that's all."
"I'm sorry for throwing this all on you. I know you have enough to worry about."
"Why are you apologizing? I put a lot more on you than you did on me. I should be the one apologizing."
"Maybe neither of us needs to apologize," She said, and yawned. "We're both sharing our burdens."
"Try getting some sleep. I'm obviously not going anywhere."
"Wait," She said, slowly getting up from her spot next to me. She carefully got off the bed and walked out of the room. When she came back into the room, she was carrying a glass of water.
"Rosalina, no," I groaned, turning my head away from her.
"C'mon Nat, you have to take it eventually."
"I told you I feel fine."
"And if you take it now, you'll stay that way."
"There's the sarcasm again."
She rolled her eyes. "Nat, seriously, c'mon, if you take it, you'll fall asleep and I'll go to sleep and it'll be fine."
I only glanced at her.
"I will force you to take this, Nat Wolff."
"Yeah, right," I said, but when she gave me this look it sort of scared me so I quickly took the glass from her and drank the water.
"Thank you." She carefully climbed over me again and we both lay down, with her resting her head on my chest.
I put my arm around her again and continued stroking her hair. Within seconds, she fell asleep. Before I could do anything else, the door opened and Jesse poked her head in again. "Nat, maybe you should take your medicine now."
"I already took it. Rosalina helped me," I said, turning my head to look at her.
Rosalina stirred and tried to sit up, but I stopped her. "Relax, it's okay. It's just Jesse." I looked back at Jesse. "So I'm good."
"Okay, just making sure." Jesse closed the door again.
"What did Jesse want?" Rosalina mumbled.
"Nothing important. Go back to sleep."
"You're ridiculous," She mumbled again.
"You love me though."

Another two days passed without going to school. I didn't really even know why I wasn't going to school, but I wasn't exactly complaining. Any time spent away from that place is fine with me. But I was beginning to miss seeing the guys and Rosalina every day. I was also getting seriously bored just sitting in my room with nothing to do except wait for Rosalina or Jesse to come in to give me some pain medication. And now that I think about it, I'm really, really hungry. I checked my phone. Rosalina should be stopping here for lunch soon. Thank God it was a Friday. Hopefully by Monday I'd be able to get up and out of bed. Wait, what am I saying? I've always been able to get out of bed. I slowly pulled back the blankets, and cautiously moved into a sitting position on my bed. It hurt a little bit, but I just sucked it up and kept going. I carefully pulled on an Amigos sweatshirt and changed out of the jeans I'd been in since the day of the…uh, accident–I know it's gross–and into pajama pants. I walked out of my room and out into the kitchen. What to eat? I walked over to one of the higher cabinets and stretched to reach it, but a pain in my side caused me to stop. Okay, so nothing from higher up. I walked over to the fridge, and honestly wasn't surprised but what I found.
The last time I checked the fridge we had a few leftovers and a couple of cartons of milk for Alex. Now all there was a half empty pack of beer bottles.
So much for eating. I reached into the fridge and took out a bottle of beer. I shook my head. I always hoped Dad would change. I always wished that I was wrong about him. I was so wrapped up in my thoughts I didn't hear anyone come in until–
"Nat, what are you doing?!"
A/N-What's Nat doing?! Who came in?! Wanna find out?!
