A/N-I DO NOT OWN THE NAKED BROTHERS BAND!
Hey guys!
Again, so so so sorry for the late update. I got sidetracked this weekend. (I actually have stuff to do now it's weird!)
But here's the new chapter that's MUCH LONGER than the last one (:
Enjoy!
Rosalina's POV
After Nat left I started cleaning up around the house, which until now I hadn't noticed how messy it was. While I was cleaning up the dining room, which doubled as my dad's office sometimes, I noticed a piece of stationary sticking out of the papers. I pulled it out of the pile and noticed it had my name on it.
Rosalina,
I know that you're mad at me right now and I'm sorry.
I've done some more thinking and you're right. Once I get home from this trip, perhaps we could spend some more time together. I don't know where you've been going off to these days, but I guess that's more of a reason we need to spend more time together.
I love you very much, Rosalina. Don't forget that.
Dad
By the time I was finished reading I was shaking, and I could feel my throat tightening. He was going to spend more time with me. He said he was sorry. And I treated him like crap. I treated him so terribly the last time I saw him, that he shouldn't be the one apologizing. But now I may never even get to see him or talk to him again. I don't even know where he is, or even if he is anywhere! What if he's dead, or hurt… I sat down on the dining room floor and leaned against the wall. I pulled my knees to my chest and just sat there. I don't know how long I sat there, but I do know that my phone kept going off in my pocket but I didn't care to see who it was or what they wanted. I didn't cry either. I was done crying. There was no point in it. Now I was just mad at myself, and frustrated because I was so selfish, and never let my dad even get a word in.
And I guess I sat there for so long, I fell asleep, because the next thing I knew someone was carrying me upstairs. I slowly opened my eyes and realized it was Nat. "Nat…? What are you doing?"
"Shhh, go back to sleep."
"No," I mumbled.
"God, she's stubborn even when she's half conscious."
I let Nat carry me all the way to my room and when he set me on the bed I sat up. "What are you doing here?"
"After you refused to answer my calls or my texts I decided to come look for myself. You gave me a freaking heart attack."
"Sorry," I said repositioning myself on the bed so he could sit next to me. "What time is it?"
"That's not important… what happened?"
"What about the guys? Weren't they supposed to come over today? Why aren't you at home?"
"Don't worry about the guys. Everything's fine. What happened?"
"But–"
"Answer the question," He demanded. "What happened?"
"I, uh…fell asleep."
"No, really?" He said sarcastically, giving me a look. "What happened before then? Why were you asleep on the dining room floor?"
"I guess I just got over-tired while I was cleaning. I sat down for a few minutes and fell asleep," I shrugged.
"It can't be that hard cleaning up your house. It's cleaner than mine."
I didn't respond.
"Rosalina," He said. "Tell me what really happened."
I pulled the folded up note out of my pocket and handed it to him. "I found this."
He took the note from me and read it. When he was done, he looked back up at me.
"I was such a brat to him, and he apologized when I should have been the one apologizing. I was the one who was so selfish and rude to him. But now I don't know if I'll ever get the chance to say I'm sorry."
"You will. There's got to be something we can–"
"There isn't Nat," I said, finally looking at him. "There's nothing we can do. It's just a waiting game. Hopefully my dad will be well enough to contact to me or to get someone to contact me."
"And let's just say he's isn't, how will you know if he's…"
"I'll know, trust me."
He pulled me into a hug. "I'm sorry that this is happening. If I could do anything to change it, I would in a heartbeat."
"Thanks."
When he pulled back he looked at me. "Are you going to be okay here alone?"
"Yeah," I said quietly.
"You're not going to shut the world out again?"
I grinned. "No."
"Because I'll stay if you need me to."
"What about Alex?"
"Jesse's been checking in on us more often," He said, looking slightly embarrassed. "I think she's making sure that I'm doing okay…you know, with everything."
"By the way, did you call Dr. Brennan?"
He groaned over-dramatically. "Yes, I called him. I'm going to see him tomorrow morning."
"Good."
"I still don't like him."
"Nat, he's only trying to–"
"I know, I know. 'He's just trying to help.' Well I don't need him to help. I'm letting him do his job, but he doesn't need to stick his nose in my business."
"What are you talking about?"
"Today when I was on the phone with him he was trying to talk to me about how I'm doing and everything."
"Nat, he's just trying to be nice."
"Well I don't want him to be nice. I want him to do his job and leave me alone."
"Relax, after tomorrow, maybe you'll never have to see him ever again."
"Yeah, maybe," Nat said sarcastically.
"Nat, c'mon, just try to be nice, okay?"
"I'll be nice if he stays out of my business."
I shook my head.
"So do you want me to stay here?"
"If you really want to…"
He smiled. "I will."
"Have you eaten yet?"
"No but," he kicked off his shoes and laid back on the bed next to me. "I'd rather just sit here with you."
"You're cute, you know that? But you're a dork."
He shrugged. "I'm your dork."

"Nat…Nat, wake up. Wake up, please," I whispered.
"Mmm…Rosie? What's wrong?" He mumbled sleepily.
"I can't sleep."
"What happened?" He asked, sitting up.
"I keep having the same nightmare."
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"No," I said quietly. I put my head on his chest and scooted closer to him.
Nat put his arm around me and rubbed my back. "It's just a dream, Rosie. It's okay."
"Nat, I have a question," I said, changing the subject suddenly.
"Hmm?"
"Do you think we're good together?"
"What kind of question is that?" He asked, looking at me.
"One you have to answer," I said timidly, looking up at him.
"Well before I answer I want to know what brought that up."
"I was just wondering what you thought."
"Um…" He sighed, looking back up at the ceiling. "I think we're very, very, very good together."
"Ooh, three very's," I joked.
"Yes. Three very's and do you know why?"
"Why?"
"Because we work well together. You make me do things that I'd usually never do, but they're good for me. They're things I should've been doing before I met you. And me, I make you do things that you'd never do. Whether or not they're really good for you is debatable."
I laughed.
"But overall, yes, I think we're very good together. We work together to get through things. And I can honestly say I've never been this happy with a girl before in my life."
"You're just saying that."
"No, I'm not, it's true. Do you know how many times Alex has told me how good he thinks you are for me? Even Jesse, who by the way, isn't exactly the brightest girl around, has told me that since we started dating, things have been getting better for me. And it's all because of you."
A/N-Sooo... wanna leave a review please?! (:
