A/N-I DO NOT OWN THE NAKED BROTHERS BAND!
Hey guys!
So summer is here, so I'll be updating more often now. Thank you to all of you who still review this story, even though I barely update.
Enjoy!
Nat's POV
Writing music? Maybe Rosalina was right. And anyway, I'd do anything to get the idea of a therapist out of Jesse's head. Now that Rosalina, Alex and all the guys knew I liked to write, I was able to do it more often. It's not like I wasn't able to do it before, I just…liked to keep it to myself. I also felt really excited about getting into music again. However, I wonder how everyone else at school would take it. And I was slightly afraid to ask Rosalina about it, so I asked Cooper.
"You're wondering how the school is going to take you writing music?"
I sighed. "Yes, Cooper."
"Well…I don't know…"
"Don't lie to me, Cooper. Just give it to me straight."
"I really don't know, Nat. I guess the only way to find out is to just let it happen."
"And if it turns out badly? What if everyone starts treating me weirdly?"
"Who cares what everyone else thinks? You've got me and the guys, and Rosalina and Alex. Plus it's not that big of a deal. Writing music is pretty cool."
"I know, but the last thing I need is to be pushed around at school. I mean I could take half the kids at school anytime but I really don't need to get into more trouble."
"Why don't you talk to Rosalina about this?"
"Because I'm afraid of what she'll say."
"Nat, c'mon it's Rosalina."
"I know, but still."
"Just talk to her. I know you'll feel better."
"I'll think about it. Thanks Coop."
"Sure Nat. I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Yeah, see you tomorrow." I hung up the phone and sighed again.
"So." Rosalina sat next to me at the counter, where I'd originally intended to do homework. "Why are you sighing?"
"Nothing, homework is just stressing me out."
"Well I am supposed to be your tutor. What's wrong?"
"Math doesn't make any sense."
She laughed. "It's simple, just let me help you."

"So how was school, Alex?"
Rosalina and I were cleaning up after dinner, and Alex was sitting at the counter, finishing up his homework.
"It was okay."
"Just okay?" I asked, looking at my brother.
"Okay…it was actually pretty good."
"Anything interesting happen?" Rosalina asked.
"I sort of…like this girl," He said quietly.
"Who is she?" I asked, putting the last dish away.
Alex didn't look at me.
"Now Alex, I have to ask you this as your older brother," I said, walking over to him.
He slowly looked up at me.
"Do you really like this girl?"
"As in…like-like?" He asked.
"As in like-like," I confirmed.
"No…Maybe…Sort of…I don't know!"
I laughed and looked at Rosalina, who walked over to Alex. "Do you think she's pretty?"
"Guys!" He said, trying to hide an embarrassed smile. "I'm serious!"
"Okay, okay," I said. "But do you actually like her?"
Alex shrugged. "I don't know how I feel."
"What you should do is just be her friend for right now," Rosalina told him. "Maybe you should wait until you're older until you date or anything."
"But I expect to meet this girl before anything happens," I demanded.
"Nat, be nice," Rosalina said, putting a hand on my arm.
"Well it's true! If you have to approve my girlfriends then I have to approve yours."
"I didn't say I was going to date her!" Alex said. . "I just said that I liked her."
"Well you should invite her over sometime, bro."
"I don't know what to say to her…"
"You guys are friends, right?"
He nodded.
"Then just invite her over. It's not hard. When you're talking to her one day just…ask her."
"Yeah Alex," Rosalina added. "It's not really that hard at all. It's just too bad your brother couldn't take his own advice."
Alex looked like he was trying not to laugh.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked, looking at Rosalina.
"I mean that if you wouldn't have pretended to hate me then we would've been friends a long time ago."
"Whatever," I joked, looking back at Alex. "It's not that hard, bro. Just ask her okay?"
He nodded. "Thanks guys."
"So other than that school was just normal?" I asked.
He nodded again. "What about you guys?"
I looked at Rosalina who looked back at me. I knew she was wondering the same thing I was. Should we tell Alex that I got in trouble again?
"Nat needs extra help in history," Rosalina said, seeming to have decided already. "So I have to help him out."
"Okay…so tell me what really happened," Alex said, slamming shut his book that he was working in. "C'mon I'm not stupid. There's got to be a reason behind this. I know Nat a little better than that."
"I got in trouble with my history teacher again," I admitted. "And Principal Schmoke said that since I'm so behind in class, my punishment is to have Rosalina as my tutor, since everyone thinks we still hate each other."
"See that I believe," Alex said, putting his books into his backpack. "You guys don't have to hide stuff from me. I'm not a little kid anymore."
"We know Alex," I said. "We're sorry."
"It's fine," He said, walking out of the room.
"Alex, wait, come back."
He walked back in. "Yeah?"
"I didn't mean to treat you like a little kid. I know you're not. I just don't want to set a bad example for you."
"What are you talking about?" He asked, walking back over to the counter. "You're not a bad example for me."
"Well what kind of example am I? All I do is get in trouble, and act irresponsibly, blow off school, break girls' hearts, get in fights and I can't even protect you from our own father."
"Nat, just because you make mistakes doesn't mean you're a bad example for me," Alex said. "Everyone makes mistakes sometimes. But I seriously don't know what you're talking about. All that stuff you named off? That was the old you. You just didn't know what to do…but that's okay. You've got Rosalina now, and luckily she's straightened you out," He joked.
I grinned.
"And hey, I'm still in one piece aren't I? No scratches, bruises, or broken bones. You took all of that abuse from dad to protect me. If that's not a good big brother than I don't know what is. I'm just sorry that you had to get hurt."
"You're the best Alex."
"Yeah, I know," He said, turning to walk out. "And don't you forget it."
"Did you really think of yourself that way?" Rosalina asked, walking over to me.
"Yeah, sort of," I shrugged, not looking at her. "I mean, it's all true. I was so irresponsible. All I did was go to parties, and break the hearts of girl after girl."
"I always thought you did that because you were trying to throw people off. You didn't want anyone to know who you are or what was going on, so you acted like you didn't care about anyone or anything."
I didn't say anything because I realized she was right.
"But I think that everyone is missing out on the real you; the one that's worth getting to know."
A/N-Leave a review, pretty please?!
