He woke to the sound of a shrilling cell phone. He untangled himself from her and blindly reached out to find the offending object. After a few failed attempts he reaches the phone and looks at the screen. He wakes Kensi immediately.

"Kensi. Wake up. Babe."

"What? What's going on?"

"Well if you weren't right next to me I would be really worried right now."

"Why?"

"Because I just got an Agent Needs Assistance Alert from you."

"Call Hetty. Tell her I'm fine. I'm going to go shut it off."

She got out of bed to find her phone. She took it off the charger and typed the four digit code to stop the alert. She immediately dialed Eric's cell. He picked up after only 2 rings.

"Kensi? Are you ok?"

"Yes, Eric. I'm fine. I didn't turn on that alert."

"Well who did?"

"That's what we have to find out. Can you call Nell and tell her I'm okay? Deeks is talking to Hetty and I'll call the guys."

Then Nell spoke up. "I kinda already know, Kens."

"You guys aren't in Ops are you?"

They answered simultaneously. "Nope."

Kensi walked back into their room, and Deeks was off the phone.

"So Hetty said that either someone is in our apartment messing with your phone or they hacked it and initiated the code. And there is always the off chance that it was a technical malfunction. We need to get to the mission and let the Wonder Twins check it out."

"Speaking of the Wonder Twins, I called Eric and Nell was there."

"It's 3:30 in the morning."

"Yeah it is, and I thought maybe they went to work after they got the alert, but I asked and that was not the case."

"We've got bigger problems than nerd love right now, Babe."

"Do we need to call the guys?"

"No, Hetty is calling them as we speak. We just need to get to work."

They got dressed and drove to OSP as quickly as they could. When they pulled in the parking lot, they noticed that Sam and Callen were already there, and so were Nell and Eric.

They ran up the stairs to Ops, and found everyone chatting loudly. They all got quiet as soon as the automatic doors opened.

"Kensi can I see your phone please?"

Kensi handed Eric her cell phone. He and Nell started taking it completely apart and trying to figure out what started the alert.

Hetty spoke up next. "I believe we can rule out the possibility that someone was in your apartment, if anyone was, they would have done more than turn on the alert. Just to be safe, Nell please check the traffic cam outside their apartment building."

"There is still a chance it could have just been a technical problem. We may be blowing this completely out of proportion." Callen said.

"Ms. Blye's phone is a secure device, if it has been compromised in any way we have a big problem. Just give Mr. Beale and Ms. Jones time to decipher what actually triggered the alert."

Deeks was silent through the entire exchange, but inside he was seething. No one messed with Kensi and got away with it. Especially if someone had managed to get into their apartment.

"I just checked all surrounding traffic cams, no one was in the apartment."

"Good. Mr. Beale, have you found what triggered the alert?"

"There is no evidence of a malfunction. There is really no evidence of anything, it just looks like someone typed Kensi's code in and turned on the alert."

"Wait, all of our codes are different. No one but Hetty even knows my alert code. So how did someone turn it on?" Kensi said.

"They could have used code decryption software, but it would have to be specific to the alert system, which no one outside this agency knows about." Nell said.

"Eric, can you see where the alert was sent from?" Kensi asked.

"It's going to register that it was sent from your phone even if it was hacked, so that's really no help."

Deeks finally spoke up. "Ok, Hetty. What do we do now?"

Hetty took a deep breath. "There is nothing we can do now. If this happens again, call me and don't shut the alert off. That goes for all of you. If someone has hacked Ms. Blye's phone, we will have to wait until they do something more than turn on the alert system to find them."

They all left Ops, except Nell and Eric. They kept Kensi's phone and were going to continue examining it for evidence of a technical malfunction.

Sam, Callen, Deeks and Kensi were talking on their way to their cars.

"This doesn't make any sense. Someone hacks Kensi's phone and all they do is turn on the alert?" Deeks said.

"If they hacked her phone, they could have been trying to get her GPS signal and triggering the alert was just a mistake. We could be dealing with someone trying to track her down." Callen said.

"Well I took the battery out at home so the only GPS location they may have is our apartment. So the mission is still safe." Kensi said.

"Be careful guys. Someone may be watching you." Sam replied, his protective instincts kicking in.

"We will be. Don't worry." Deeks' protective instincts were also kicking in. They got in the car and he drove back to their apartment.

She could see he was visibly tense. "Deeks, you ok?"

"Just fine. Someone is trying to stalk the person I love most in the world and I can't do anything about it. It's been a great day so far."

"Deeks. Calm down. We'll find whoever is doing this. It's probably a good thing they set the alert off, were on to them now."

"I guess so. Just to be clear, I'm not letting you out of my sight ever again."

"You worry too much." She was trying to sound annoyed, but his protectiveness made her feel loved more than she ever had in her life.

"I worry because I love you, Kensi. So if someone is trying to hurt you, that means we have a problem. We probably need to work on a list of people that would want to find you."

She yawned. "I'll do it tomorrow."

He laughed as she leaned her head on the window and fell asleep. He parked the car in front of their apartment, got out and walked around to the passenger side of the car. He gently lifted her out of the car bridal style and carried her into their room. He placed her gently on the bed and kissed her forehead.

"I love you, Princess. And I won't let anyone hurt you, ever."

He might be worried that someone was coming for her, but she wasn't. She knew that her team and her partner would do anything and everything they could to stop them.
