They returned to work the next day, each with a small amount of sleep and a much larger amount of coffee. Eric and Nell had disabled the GPS on Kensi's phone, so whoever was doing this would have to find a different way to track her.

They all met in Ops to discuss how to proceed. Hetty sent Kensi and Deeks to make a list of people who would want to track her for any reason, once they had a smaller list of suspects, Sam and Callen were to track them down. She asked Nell and Eric to see if anyone had looked into Kensi or any of her aliases electronically.

After about an hour of going through old suspects and no one sticking out, a thought popped into Kensi's head.

"Did you ever go looking for him?"

"I always hoped he'd come looking for me."

"How could I forget?" She mumbled.

"What?"

She didn't realize he heard her and his voice pulled her out of her thoughts.

"I know who's doing this."

"Who?"

"Jack."

Their eyes locked, and they bolted from their desks. Deeks beat Kensi up the stairs and as the automatic doors to Ops opened, he started barking orders.

"Guys, we know who's doing this. I need you to find Jack Simon."

Nell and Eric looked at each other with wide eyes. They turned back to their computers. "On it." They said in unison. Kensi and Deeks went back to the bullpen to call Sam and Callen.

Deeks picked his cell phone up off of his desk and dialed Callen's number. "Callen, can you guys come back here please?"

"On our way."

Sam and Callen had been checking out the house of a man that Kensi went undercover to arrest, who was now out of jail and whom they all considered to be a suspect in their current case.

Deeks was sitting in his desk chair and Kensi on his desk when they walked in.

"What's up?" Callen asked.

"We think we know who is doing this." Deeks spoke for both of them.

"Who?" Sam asked.

Deeks looked at Kensi, silently asking which of them should speak. The tired and worried look in her eyes told him he should.

"Jack Simon."

"Jack? How do you know?" Sam asked.

"We've ruled out most of the suspects, and he has the most motive to track Kensi down. For whatever reason." Deeks once again spoke for her.

Sam and Callen both nodded. They could sense Kensi's worry. "You ok, Kens?" Callen asked apprehensively.

"I'm fine. I'm going to go see if Nell and Eric found anything." She climbed off of Deeks' desk and walked up the stairs to Ops. Deeks knew she needed a few moments to herself, so he stayed behind.

"Is she okay, Deeks?" Callen asked.

"She hasn't seen him in nine years. We have no idea why he wants to find her, he could be trying to kill her for all we know. She doesn't know what to believe, and she doesn't want to think about how this could end. There are too many things we still don't know for her to have any idea how to feel about this. She's still in shock."

Sam and Callen nodded their heads, they didn't know how to deal with this news either.

"Are you okay?" Sam asked.

"I'm fine. This gives me the chance to meet the one person in the world I truly hate. If you will excuse me, I don't want to let Kensi out of my sight anymore."

He walked briskly up to Ops. The doors opened and he saw Kensi standing behind the island staring at the big screen. Nell and Eric were huddling close together at their computers. He walked up to the island and placed his hand on the small of her back.

"Hey." Deeks said.

"Hey." She replied without taking her eyes off of the screen.

He turned to lean on the island and stare at the screen with her. On it was a picture of Jack, his USMC Identification.

She turned to look at him after a few moments of silence. "He's been in and out of rehab centers for the past nine years. Apparently after he left me he turned to drinking. He just got out of the latest center three days ago."

"So he gets out of rehab and decides to look for you. He could just want to talk, maybe he's changed for the better."

"If he has changed and he just wants to talk, why would he hack my phone? Why not try to find me in a normal way instead of trying to get my GPS location?"

"Could he even hack into your phone by himself?"

"No, someone has to be helping him. Which makes this even more complicated."

"So, what do we do from here?"

"I don't know Deeks."

"Um, Kens?" Eric said as he and Nell turned around.

"What?"

"Someone just sent you a text." Nell said.

"Let me see." Nell gave Kensi her phone back.

She read the text. We need to talk Kensi.

"Can you trace the number?" She asked and then passed her phone to Deeks.

"Already did. It's a burn phone. Bought at a convenience store three days ago. I'm working on getting security cam footage from the store." Eric said.

"Thanks, Eric. We're going to go talk to Hetty." Kensi said.

Kensi and Deeks bounded down the stairs to Hetty's office.

"Any news?" Hetty asked.

Kensi took a deep breath. "I just received an anonymous text from a burn phone. Eric said it was bought three days ago, the same time Jack was released from a rehab center. Eric and Nell are trying to get footage from the convenience store where the phone was purchased."

Hetty nodded. "Well, Ms. Blye. How do you want to approach this?"

"I don't know Hetty. I would like to think that it's safe for me to meet him, but the way he contacted me and his record lately suggests its not."

"You aren't the same person you were nine years ago, Kens. He doesn't know the Badass Blye that we do. He sees you as an easy target. We still don't know why he's tracking you down, but there's only one way to find out."

"Mr. Deeks, are you suggesting that she meet with him?"

"That's the only way to end the mind games and the only way she's going to get any closure. We make him believe that she's scared and vulnerable and see what he does."

"Technically speaking, hacking your phone is the only thing he's done wrong. I can't condone sending an elite team of Federal Agents on an operation to find a simple hacker."

"But Hetty-" Deeks complained.

Hetty put her hand up to silence him. "Mr. Deeks, might I suggest not thinking of Kensi, Sam, Callen, Nell and Eric as a team of Federal Agents, but think of them as your family."

Kensi and Deeks smiled at each other.

"And I have chosen to give you and the rest of the your family the rest of the week off. Do with it what you will."

Kensi and Deeks walked away to find the rest of their family, and work out how they were going to deal with this issue.

No one messes with this family and gets away with it.
