Chapter Twenty: Sue's Corner
"And now, people of Lima, Ohio, it's time for Sue's corner."
The camera turned to Sue Sylvester, Cheerleading champ, and rather than staring down the camera in the usual fuck-you demeanour, her eyes were downcast, staring at her hands clasped on her reporting desk, "Today, Ohio... I speak to you not as Coach Sue Sylvester, Queen of Cheerleading, with six consecutive national wins... Today, I speak to you as a deeply disappointed citizen."
She paused, sighing angrily before looking into the camera. "This grey and dismal morning, outside McKinley, two students were harassed by the media and by fellow students. The cause of the harassment? The pregnancy of one Kurt Hummel. I'm sure all of my die-hard fans will remember my Sneaky-Gays rant, to Mr. Hummel and his son, I apologise for any repercussions that had on you. Kurt, however is, by no means, a Sneaky-Gay; but I digress.
"This morning I had to kick one of my most treasured Cheerios' off the team. Rumour has it that she had been told, in confidence, by the expecting couple about the pregnancy. In a jealous rage at learning that they plan to keep the baby, she decided that the world had a right to know. Quinn Fabray is an evil devil woman, much like a younger me, in fact, but no-one had the right to know what was happening to these two young men.
"As many people out there will know, the earliest stages of pregnancy are the most dangerous, although I'm sure birth is also somewhat tricky. What happened today at McKinley High put both Kurt and his baby-gay in danger. For anyone concerned, however, I have heard that both are doing fine. This doesn't take away from the severity of what could have happened.
"I'm going to take a moment to tell you how this is all possible. Firstly, you should know that although it hasn't been made all that public, due to its rarity, male pregnancy can and does happen. Seahorse was a drug which gave male embryos the ability to birth offspring; during the nineties, due to some idiot drug technician, it was leaked as a pre-natal vitamin. Of course there was a recall of the drug, but the 'damage' was already done.
"I can't help thinking that if schools better educated their children, this travesty of a media circus would not have happened and I would not be sat here feeling, for the first time, so very ashamed of my country or my state. I propose a better sex education in schools now. And please, please, if any parents know that they were prescribed a dose of Seahorse whilst expecting, encourage your child to see their doctor to see about testing and scans. Something like this must never be allowed to happen again due to ignorance. And that's how Sue ''Cs" it. Goodnight Ohio."
Burt sat back in his chair as Noah squeezed his arm about Kurt's shoulders. Kurt was weeping silently, but there was a gentle smile on his face as he whispered in awe; "She didn't mention your name. She respects us." Noah kissed the top of his head, he was happy not to have his name mentioned, but something deeply feral in him wanted everyone to know that Kurt and his baby belonged to Puck.
"You know something, Kurt? I've always liked that woman." Burt said decisively.
Short chapter guys, but I felt it was needed... plus I'm really tired and don't have a lot of time at the moment. Hopefully I shall update next week, so watch this space.
