Several Daughters of Crane Mother swarm Fat Cobra, but he quickly knocks them back with a fury of blurry punches and kicks. A Daughter is carried in the updraft of green fog and is soon sent back to the ground by an elbow drop from Green Mist. Tiger's Beautiful Daughter brings her fans down in an x-shape to slice through an enemy while Bride of Nine Spiders spins a strand of webbing to strangle another, and Dog Brother #1 flips his sword under his arm and stabs one of Crane Mother's Daughters as she attacks from behind. With the Immortal Weapons emerging victorious against another wave, two more flanks of enemies close in and try to pin them in the middle. Dog Brother brings his fingers up to his lips and whistles. A pack of dogs and wolves round the corner and attack the Daughters of Crane Mother from the side, surprising them as they pounce and drag them to the ground where they begin to maul them.

Colleen and Misty stay in the alley, watching the events unfold. Their spectatorship is short-lived, however, as two Daughters leap from the rooftops, landing on either side of the alley. Misty turns and fires, hitting the Daughter at the rear. Colleen, meanwhile, locks swords with the Daughter at the front. She brings her katana around, removing her opponent's weapon before running her through.

The Green Mist opens the sleeves of his robe and two jets of green fog emit from inside, which passes through the ranks, blinding them, so they begin to retreat as the fog quickly grows thicker. As they back away through the thick, green fog, they find themselves blocked by grey strands running across the width of the street. They turn and see a massive spider web covering their exit through the street and once they look up, they notice the Bride of Nine Spiders sitting at the top, smiling silently and tilting her head curiously to the side. With the army blinded and trapped, Tiger's Beautiful Daughter rushes in and begins to spin through their ranks, cutting her way through the Daughters with her fans and makes short work of them as she spins and twirls in beautiful but deadly formations.

On a nearby roof, three more Daughters sneak to the edge with a brown bag, which they open to reveal golden spheres with fuses at the end. One of them takes a thin candle and lights a fuse before hurling it off the roof. It bounces off a wall and falls a few feet from Tiger's Beautiful Daughter who notices and quickly shouts, "Grenade!" before diving for cover. The force of the explosion brushes her back and blasts the Green Mist through the fog where he hits the side of the street in a stunned heap. Dog Brother and Fat Cobra look up at the rooftop and notice the Daughters gathering more bombs.

"I don't suppose your pups feel like playing fetch?," Fat Cobra asks.

"We wouldn't want to take any of your glory, now would we?," he responds with a smile as Fat Cobra disappears in a blur.

The Daughters tie the fuses together in one long strand, light it, and gather the bombs together before throwing them to the street. The fuses unravel as they burn and the bombs drop individually down on top of the Immortal Weapons. Fat Cobra runs onto the scene as the world slows down around him. He catches the first bomb, turns, and throws it into the air before doubling back and palming two more. He turns, launching both in different directions and as he continues to grab another out of the air, the bombs begin to explode "slowly" behind him. He tosses the bomb down the street and snags the last one just before it hits the ground and carries it. He makes a vertical run straight up the side of the building where he approaches the Daughters. The bomb in his hand begins to lose its fuse; he only has a few more seconds before it blows. Fat Cobra leaps over their heads, dropping the bomb behind him as he makes the leap and the Daughters have just enough time to notice him as the bomb drops in the middle of the group, then the fuse finally burns out. The explosion takes out the entire roof and sends Fat Cobra off the side where he hits some clothes lines and wraps himself in garments as he falls.

Armored boots storm over the pavement and a line of archers bring up the rear. The Bride is still on top of her web-wall when they pull multiple arrows each and take aim. They fire, sending the arrows into and then through the webbing, gradually tearing it apart and forcing the Bride to fall a few feet onto the hard pavement. With the other Immortal Weapons stunned and on the ground, Dog Brother stands alone as a few more archers take aim, sending arrows toward him. He swats a few out of the air with his sword but several more break against his armor, forcing him to the ground. The archers pull more arrows and take aim at the stunned Immortal Weapons, ready to launch another volley.

"We have to do something," Misty tells Colleen as they stay hidden in the alley.

"Wait," she says as she diverts her attention to rooftops.

Danny runs along the second floor banister of a nearby building toward the battlefield. He makes it to the edge where he leaps off while igniting the Iron Fist and then he drops to the archers below. His fist connects with the ground, creating a large impact that sends them flying into the air and creates a massive cloud of smoke. When it clears, he rises to his feet, victorious. The Immortal Weapons, having caught their second wind, gather together alongside Danny.

"You know how to make an entrance, Daniel Rand," Fat Cobra tells him.

"Better late than never. You guys didn't save much for me."

"It's good to see you," Green Mist tells him.

"Thanks."

Misty and Colleen rush out of the alley and Misty wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him, "We couldn't make it out with the army in our way."

"That's fine. I can lead you out of the city."

"Before that, I never got the chance to finish what I had to say earlier," she becomes serious, "I don't belong in your world. I have no idea how long we have together but you know what? I don't care. We may be worlds apart but we were made for each other and I'm all yours." They begin to kiss passionately.

"And I'm all yours," Danny kisses her.

"Mortal love. That's sweet," Bride of Nine Spiders says.

"That's vulgar," Tiger's Beautiful Daughter tells her, "They should do that in private."

"I maintain he shouldn't limit himself," Fat Cobra says to no one in particular.

"So can we go now?," Colleen asks impatiently as she keeps an eye on her surroundings.

"Yeah, we'll go but we still have one unresolved problem," Danny explains.

As Danny faces Colleen and Misty, black smoke emerges behind him and Crane Mother teleports a few feet away. Everything seems to slow down despite it all happening within seconds. The other Immortal Weapons are the first to act as she is facing them when she appears. They rush in but she silently raises her hands and sends a strong telekinetic blast that sends them all flying in different directions. Hua and Dog Brother hit brick walls, the Bride of Nine Spiders is hurled through a window, Green Mist is smashed through a boarded doorway, and Fat Cobra flattens an ox cart. Danny turns, notices his new foe, and goes in for the attack as Colleen quickly pulls Misty away. Crane Mother turns and time seems to flow normally as Danny throws two quick punches and a kick. Despite her appearance, Crane Mother is fast and manages to deflect the three blows before raising a single palm and spreading her fingers. He stops and grips his throat as an invisible force wraps around his neck.

"Daniel Rand," she says with a scowl, "You have been most troublesome." She turns her hand over and Danny is raised off the ground by his neck as he begins to choke. Colleen comes in from the side with her katana ready but Crane Mother turns and her hair raises slightly as she delivers a telekinetic blast that sends her into the air. With another opponent unconscious, she turns back to Danny,"Out of all the Immortal Weapons, I'll take the greatest pleasure in killing you," she pulls a large blade from her robes, "You will be the first sacrifice to the Eighth City," then she raises the blade, ready to plunge it into his chest, "It is an honor you do not deserve but I am impatient."

A thumb presses the hammer of a gun, pulling it back with an audible CLICK.

Crane Mother turns to see her last opponent.

Misty Knight stands across the street and raises her gun. "Let him go, bitch!," she shouts.

Crane Mother smiles raises her blade and lets it fly with telekinetic force just as Misty pulls the trigger.

Crane Mother's head snaps back with a brief gust of smoke and at the same time, the blade passes Misty's shoulder and seemingly takes something with it. She screams and falls to the ground at the same time that Crane Mother and Danny hit the ground. He coughs and chokes as he scrambles to his feet, noticing Crane Mother lying dead, her eyes wide and blank as a billow of smoke escapes the hole in her forehead. There is no blood. Misty writhes in agony on the ground as she lets out another scream. "Misty!," Danny shouts and runs to her aid. He cradles her and she manages to tell him, "I... I can't feel my arm, Danny." That's when he notices her severed arm on the ground.
