"Yes, Im the dark one´s son"- he said and Emma felt that her world was rolling around, this couldnt be happening, it could not be real
"You son of a bitch"- she let the anger control her and went to him and slapped him on the face and tried to keep going but Killian stopped her, putting his arms around her waist and held her against him, his warm body making her relax a little- She stayed still in Killian´s arm but then tears started rolling her face – "How could do this to me? This was some kinda sick plan from the begining, did you ever care about me at all?"
"Of course, I did and I do care about you, Emma"- Neal said, sad look in his face
"What are you doing here, what is this about?"
"What the bloody hell the Dark one wants with Emma!"- Killian said
"My father changed, he got magic thats why I left but I couldnt tell you he was the dark one, it was dangerous and your parents or anyone would want me here if they knew it"
"But now you are with him"- Emma said
"He changed, he is trying because he loves me. He is my father, the only family I´ve got, you have to understand"- He said softly but Emma and Killian didnt feel it
"You can go to him and have your happy ever after, for all I care"- Emma harshly- "But how DARE you to come here, to MY home and pretend to be my friend and even propose to me after what YOUR father has done?"
"He didnt do anything... He wanted me to get close to you so you could see he is innocent"- He said, totally convinced
"Ha! Are you serious right now!"- All Emma wanted to do was yell and cry and laugh all together and Killian could barely control his need to beat the hell out of him –"He destroyed my family! He DID that, he is not innocent, he is the dark one!"
"He didnt take the kid, he didnt do it, he swore to me!"
"And you are stupid enough to buy it"- Killian said
"And YOU will talk, you are poor damn pirate!"- Neal yelled- "You destroyed Emma´s future! You will be the cause destroying her family, her happiness"- After he finished Killian moved to go after him, to kill him with his own hands but deep down it hit him, not matter how much it hurt Neal was telling not lie.
"Get out of my castle!" –Emma said firmly, now she was the one stopping Killian from moving forward- "This man is more of a heroe that you will ever try to be and certainly not your dear daddy and now GET OUT and never come back, i never want to see you again!"
"Emma"- he tried to protest
"You heard her"- Killian responded
"Go!"- Emma looked down, she couldnt bare looking at his eyes, the sweet young boy, Bae...He was her friend, he was someone special, how did he turn into this man, Neal... They were two different people and it hurt her deeply, this was not the ending she thought they would have.
Neal walked away, defeated. Emma and Killian stayed there, without moving for a while but as soon as he held her tight against his chest, Emma broke, turning around to hug him and she let the anger, sadness, betrayal and disappointment get out of her. Sobbing until she couldnt breathe . It broke him deeply to see her like that, Killian with tears in his eyes too and all he could do was hold her, trying not to think on what Neal just told him. The biggest pain of hers was what happened to her family and when they find out about Killian being her true love, because he had not doubt in his mind they were true love, her family would fall apart and this time, he wasnt sure time or anything would fix it.

"We should tell your parents, love"- he said when he walked with a glass of water in his hand and gave it to Emma, who was laying on their bed and sat to grab it
"What! You wanna tell them now? You said we shouldnt this morning"- She said looking at him. After their little chat with Neal, Emma made Rose to excuse to her parents for lunch and she stayed with Killian in their house, she didnt feel like eating and certainly not fake smiling, all she wanted and needed was to be in his arms.
"No, not that. Not us..."- he said, with a shaking voice that alarmed Emma but he continued- "About him"- he didnt even want to say his name out load.
"What would be the point? He is gone and not coming back, i never want to see him again"- she told him, still looking so sad, it broke his heart, he loved to see her smile, he loved to make her smile but now it wasnt something he could do.
"He is the dark one´s son, maybe he was hidding something else. Maybe he is planning something, we should warn them"- he sat on the border of the bed, his hand resting on her tight.
"But they are so excited about their ball, i dont want to take it from them"
"It should be another reason to warn them, it could be dangerous, Swan"- . She looked around, thinking.
"I guess you are right, we should talk to them about this"- she said and gave him a sad smile –"Now, come here and lay with me"- she pulled him into the bed with her and they laid together for some hours, sometimes in deep silence and some other trying to make each other smile and forget.

It was almost dinner time when they came back to the castle, separate ways and time between one another. Emma came to meet her parents first.
"Emma honey, where were you? Neal came to say goodbye"- Snow said, relieved to see her daughter. Emma hugged and gave her a little smile ,the same with her father.
"I just needed some time alone, sorry."
"Its okay, sweetheart"- David told her, stroking her shoulder. Emma couldnt help the tears, she wanted nothing more than her parents to be happy, to have a happy family again. They hugged her, not sure of what was going on but they comforted her like the caring parents that they were. Killian walked the door on that exact moment, he smiled, but it was a sad smile and he knew better than interrupt them so he walked away.
"I hope this is not about him telling us you were engaged, Emma"- Snow said
"No, no you dont have to feel bad about this. It has nothing to do with you. And its okay, can we talk after dinner?"- she asked, she wasnt so hungry but havent eaten in all day wasnt good and her parents surely wouldnt feel like it after she tells them and she needed Killian, she couldnt do this without him.
Minutes later, He joined them.
"Your highness, princess"- he smiled
"Captain, he havent seen you all day"- Snow said
"I was out of the castle, some bussines to take care of, sorry"- he smiled
"Hope you are hungry"- David saidly friendly, even though Killian knew they both were trying (hard) to be polite because Eric´s matter wasnt over.
"Sure thing"- He looked at Emma and she got the message... "I hope you are, you have to eat something, love"- she smiled slightly and tried her best.
After dinner, they went to the living room and sat on the couches and had some tea... They kept the conversation ligth all night but it wasnt long until Eric´s matter came to the table.
"Im so worried and sad about Ariel and Eric" – Snow said. Killian swallowed hard and Emma looked at him concerned and David and Snow trying to read him.
"Yeah, I´ve heard of it. Should we got to meet her?"- Emma said fast enough, making them look away from her pirate.
"We cant, I cant believe someone would do something like that"- Snow said and Emma had to change the damn subject.
"He will be okay, Im sure. Mother, father... theres something I wanted to tell you"- They looked at Killian, feeling it was something private.
"No!"- she coughed and looked down –"Its okay, he can stay. In fact, i want him to stay"-
"Okay, what is it, Emma"- David asked her
"Is about Neal and his leaving... I, he is the dark one´s son"- she said, probably too fast but she didnt know how to say it .
"What!"- they both jumped a little- "What are you talking about , Emma"-And she proceeded to tell them. She agreed with Killian to tell them that she heard Neal telling Killian in a fight and when she asked him about it, he confessed. Explaining that Killian left on a mission because he found out that the dark one had a son and that could help them and he found out it was Neal and thats why he confronted him about it. They bought the tale and were super shocked.

Almost 2 months had passed and Emma and Killian enjoyed each other´s company as much as they could. They would sneak out and go their place, or their secret house, they would make love every time they could, they both couldnt get enough of each other, each time was special and the sex kept getting better and better... That good that Emma felt she couldnt live without having him inside of her, at least once at day...it felt so damn amazing, he perfectly knew how and where to touch her, what to say or even how to look at her to make her wet and needy and she didnt need to do much, just looking at her gorgeous green eyes and seeing her beautiful smile, it was all it took for him to want her, more and more, he made her his over and over until he couldnt feel his own body anymore.
Tonight it was her parents anniversary´s ball. They decided to do it anyway because 2 months was more than time enough and they couldnt put their lifes in hold forever just because of fear of the dark one. They made sure to get every in and out of the castle to be well controlled and they called Blue to put a spell on the castle so someone uninvited couldnt come in.
Emma had a gorgeous blue gown, she picked the colour because it matched with Killian´s eyes. The ball was nice, like every other ball. Emma had fun with her friends. Ariel wasnt there because Eric was still missing, it pained her mother but they have to do balls, it was royalty stuff and Ariel totally understood. It still was hard for Emma not be able to share more than 1 or 2 dances with Killian but thanks to the girls they could join in a chat group, it wasnt well seen for some for sure but they didnt care, at least Killian was not alone and especially Zelena had to stay away from him.
They were having a dance, when there was a violet spoof smoke in the center of the dance place, Killian and Emma protecting each other when they saw the Dark One and NEAL appear...
"What the bloody hell are you doing here!"- Killian couldnt help it, stepping infront of Emma to protect her
"You were not invited!"-David said.
"Nice spell , dearie but My dear son WAS invited, dont you remember"- he smirked.
"What do you want?"- Emma said, walking beside Killian –"I told you to never come back, Neal!"- Neal didnt asnwer, he looked down, almost ashamed
"My son is here to propose"- He said –"He wants to marry the princess now that she is free"-
"In your dreams i will let your coward son to put a hand on my daughter!"- David yell, grabbing his sword but it wasnt useful when Rumplestinlskin throw him through the air,making fall to the ground.
"David!"- Snow ran to him
"My son isnt a coward"
"He is as coward as you!"- Killian said – "Hiding behind magic, you dont have what it takes to be a man"
"Oh, like you dear brother did, pirate"- he said smirking
"What do you know about my brother!"- Killian moved forward but he felt Emma´s hand on his arm , his jaw clenching and fits forming in his hands.
"Oh, you really think going to neverland was the idiot of king´s idea, dearie. You seemed smarter"- he laughed
"You! You killed my brother!"- He moved again but Emma stopped him, standing infront of him, tear rolling down her face.
"Please, dont" – she begged, not wanting to reveal more but she would not let him get killed.
"Aww, she cares for you. How sweet"- He said this time and Emma looked at the concern expresion on her parents faces. And she turned around.
"What the hell do you want! It wasnt enough what you have done to us! Im NOT marrying you, Neal. Forget it!"-She yelled at him, Killian holding her in place.
"This isnt over, dearie. You will know what is best for you to do, for this kingdom..." – he looked around –" for your parents, for the pirate and for Henry... Until next time"- with that he and his son disappear again.
"No!" –Killian yelled but they were already gone- "He killed my brother, the bloody crocodile killed my dear brother"- Emma never saw him like that, it made sense all the fear that people seemed to have toward him. His jaw clenching, eyes full of tears and anger, white fits on his strong hands. He turned around and walked away from the room. Leaving Emma frozen.
"Emma, are you okay?"- Snow asked and Emma only nodded.
"Are you?- she said and when they answered yes, she move to walk out- "I need to breathe"- and she moved out of the ball room, walking through the hall, in the entrance of the balcony she spotted Killian and went to him.
"Killian"- she said softly –"Im so sorry"- she stroked his arm
"He killed my brother, he did it... He needs to pay, he has to pay"- he said, tears rolling down his face
"Killian, please. He will kill you too. He is the dark one, what can you do?"- she said, tears filling her face, shaking voice and a deep fear growing through her entire body...
"You want me to leave this behind, to forget it, Emma! What are you asking me!"- He looked at her with anger too.
"I dont want to lose you, i cant lose you. Dont leave me , please. I love you. I need you"- she said crying – "I love you" and she kissed him , tearing rolling both of their faces. "so much, please" she wishpered against his mouth and they kept kissing.
The glass of water, throwing drops of it toward the floor, rolling down and down, it was slow motion like if the whole world stopped and all the sound disappeared... suddenly the glass collapsed on the floor, breaking into pieces, making them jump and break apart.
"Emma..."- Snow said
