OK here is chapter 9, it's the last chapter of this story. I'm not sure if I'm going to write a sequal but I will be writing a new story. Also about Arya and Jaqen. Let me know your thoughts and if you have any idea's for a story please let me know! Enjoy :-)
Arya sleepily opened her eyes. A blurred white pillow came into vision. She rubbed her eyes and yawned. Arya smiled as realised Jaqen had wrapped a warm arm tightly around her waist and had curved himself to fit her body. Her thoughts quickly travelled back to last night, her tears, blue eyes and sweet lips. She turned slowly so she was facing into Jaqens bare chest. She admired his toned muscles, his defined jaw, his closed eyes. She had never seen him asleep before, he looked so peaceful, so unaware and oblivious of his surroundings. It was so unlike him, he usually knew all that was going on, what she was thinking, what others were doing, when the sun would hide. But not now… no now he was relaxing, vulnerable even. Arya stared at him watching his chest rise and fall and she could not help but let a grin slowly spread across her face. She wanted to lye here forever with him. Right here in this moment, everything was perfect. And Arya hadn't had perfect for a long time. Her eyes widened slightly as she realised she had forgotten her mantra last night. It was the first time since she heard a sword swing above her father's neck that she hadn't said her names. Jaqens taste, his words, his warmth had taken up all her thoughts. Jaqens blue eyes suddenly snapped open and he blinked a few times before giving her a lazy smile. He closed his eyes drowsily and pulled her closer to him yawning.
"A man could lay here all day with a girl" he said sleepily.
"Well… we could"
Jaqen groaned, "We have sword training… and you have a meeting with Thaniel" Arya recoiled at that pushing herself away from Jaqens torso.
"WHAT?!" Jaqen winced at her high pitched voice.
"A girl has been requested to go to Thaniel today"
"Why?" Jaqen swallowed.
"A-a girl must make a decision today" He choked.
"What decision?" Jaqen met her eye and she was surprised to find his ocean filled eyes had grown into a shaking mess.
"Weather a girl is to stay at the house of black and white or is to leave to find revenge and her family" he said sadly. Jaqen rolled over onto his back breathing deeply. She saw him shake slightly and her own eyes grew wet.
"W-what d-do you mean Jaqen.. what do you mean I have to c-choose?" Arya was crying now. Salt brushed her cheeks and her perfect moment like everything else in her life drained away. Jaqen was quickly and soothingly wiping the tears away with his thumb but she saw wet glistening on his cheeks too. She had never seen so much emotion in him. He was a faceless man, they did not show what they were feeling or thinking.
"Shhhh… a girl must listen to a man… shhhh… a girl must remember she is a wolf"
"I'm not a wolf, I'm just a girl"
"No, you are Arya Stark of Winterfell"
Arya sobbed and frowned frustration, confusion and sadness mixed inside her bones.
"Do you want me to leave?" she gasped through breaths pushing his hands away from her face.
"That is the last thing a man wants"
"THEN WHY ARE YOU TELLING ME TO LEAVE?" Arya cried out and stumbled blindly out of the bed. Jaqen sat up looking at her miserably.
"A girl is not a faceless man"
"I could be"
"If you want to you must give up your names… must forget your family" The words slowly sunk in like poison and Arya sank to the floor.
"But…" she trailed off surrendering. Jaqen had always known her better than she knew herself. And she knew what he said was true. She could never become faceless, not without gaining her revenge or seeing Jon again. Jaqen had gotten up and he crouched next to her on the floor. He put two fingers under her chin and pulled her face up so she was looking at him.
He slowly lent in and she pushed her lips against his. They crashed together like two wild horses fighting one another. The kiss was traced in sadness but so full of passion at the same time. Arya wept as she kissed him. Their tongue's collided and she pulled at his lips trying to etch the feel and taste of him into her memory. He lay on top of her and she pulled him close feeling his bare chest beneath her hands. His muscles flexed and his fingers urgently danced down to the bottom of her shirt. Arya gasped in embarrassment as he slipped his hands underneath it and grasped her. He traced her belly and breasts soothingly as they're kiss deepened. Arya slyly dragged her finger tips down his chest to his pants. She was unsure if this was how this certain game was played but she knew his pants had to come off one way or another. She felt him smirk against her lips and he covered his hands over hers and pulled them up away breaking the kiss.
"Did I do something wrong?" she asked her cheeks warm. Jaqen chuckled.
"A girl did nothing wrong… but it is not for a man to take what is a girls… not when they may never see one another again" His words hung silently in the air. Arya felt the sadness rise once again inside her. She stubbornly placed her hands on his waistline again attempted to slip her fingers down beneath his pants but his fingers caught her again. He had a pained look on his face and he rolled off her. She turned over capturing his lips in hers, he was kissing her back and Arya smirked. Suddenly the door squeaked open. Both Arya and Jaqen startled and Arya flung away from Jaqen scrambling up. Jaqen did not move but his hand held a dagger that had seemed to come out of no-where. Lilliane's and Thaniel stood over him. Jaqen's hand relaxed around the hilt of his dagger but he did not stop tensing ready to spring up at any moment. Arya was mortified. Her cheeks blushed hot but blind anger was flashing hot inside her.
"Does a woman and man not knock?" Jaqen's voice was coated in annoyance and anger but Arya also saw embarrassment flicker in his eyes.
"We did" Thaniel said matter of factly. "Several times"
"Seems you were a little too preoccupied to hear us" Lilliane added her eyes narrowed like snakes at Arya. Jaqen stood up placing himself between Arya and Thaniel. Arya noticed Lillian's eyes flicker down to Jaqens chest.
"What is the reason you have come barging in on a man?" Jaqen asked.
"I need you to go to the other selected few. There is an urgent matter that needs attending to…I also need to speak with the girl" Jaqen growled in annoyance. He turned and grabbed a shirt pulling it over his head. He then sat on his bed and made his face still, emotionless. Thaniel observed him for a while but said nothing.
"Arya Stark, I have come here to-"
"I have chosen" She cut him off. Thaniel did not look surprised that she already knew but then again his face never showed any emotion whatsoever.
"And your choice is?"
Arya breathed deeply looking longingly at Jaqen who was staring at his hands, his mind far away.
"I will leave… I ask for a horse, some provisions, maybe a little money. I can repay you one day, you have my word"
The faceless man nodded. Lilliane smiled. Jaqen did not even blink.
"I will send someone to saddle you a horse… safe journeys Arya Stark… you really are an exceptional fighter… you could have been a great faceless man" Arya held her head high.
"I don't need to become faceless to become great" Thaniel dipped his head and then turned, Lilliane followed him without a backwards glance. Jaqen then stood. He walked towards her and they embraced. Arya held him tight, in hailing for the last time herbs mixed with sunshine.
"Farewell Arya Stark"
"Goodbye Jaqen" she choked. He smirked at her his eyes were filled with tears.
"A man was never Jaqen H'ghar… but you have made Jaqen H'ghar into a man" He left her then, a last hot breath against her lips and hair and then he faded away into the shadows. Gone. Arya smiled sadly and turned to pick up a golden dagger from the floor. She pocketed it and then pulled out a blue ribbon that she often tied her messy hair with. She lay it out on the pillow carefully. "Valar Morghulis" she whispered. She then turned and strode out of the room, her brown eyes burning bright with adventure.
