Now we finally see Ash face Grant, I will tell you it differs from the anime many times. But I think you guys will like it.

Chapter 22: Ash vs Grant
It was early in the morning in Cyllage city, and Ash was more than excited for his battle with Grant. After a short training session with each of his Pokémon on the cliffs, Ash was trying to decide who he should use for the battle. He sat against a rock ,while each of his Pokémon ate some breakfast he had prepared for them.
"Let's see, Riolu is a fighting type so I should definitely use him" Ash said looking at his Riolu.
"Tyrunt is a rock type so he won't be extremely effective , but Grant's pokemon won't be very effective either. I guess he'd be a good choice. Alright that leaves one more, well Fletchinder is flying and fire so he wouldn't last against many rock type moves. Then there's Pikachu, I suppose he has Iron tail, but other than that none of these moves are really effective" However, Ash didn't have many effective pokemon to choose from.
"The only other Pokémon I have is Charmeleon. I suppose he knows some dragon type moves but he's fire and that's weak against rock. Then again, he hasn't been in a gym battle yet and I do want to give him that opportunity" Ash said looking at Charmeleon.
"Alright guys I've decided who's going to battle against Grant today" is Pokémon quickly turned towards him. Excited to know who would get to face the gym leader.
"Pikachu, Fletchinder since you guys were both in the last gym battle. I think it's only fair the rest of the gang gets to be in this battle" Ash said. Pikachu and Fletchinder were both a little disappointed, but the more they thought about it Ash had a point and it was only fair that the others get a chance to be in a gym battle. Riolu, and the others were very excited to get to compete in the first gym battle.
"Graw!" Tyrunt roared in excitement.
"Well I think we've done enough training for now. Lets get you guys to the Pokémon center ,before your battle". Forty-five minutes later , Ash was in the pokemon center with Serena and Red.
"So do you know what Pokémon you're the facing Grant with?"Red asked.
"Yup, Riolu, Tyrunt, and Charmeleon".
"I wish I could give you some pointers, but he won't be using the same Pokémon or strategy" Red said.
"That's all right, we'll do fine" Ash said.
"Just be careful Ash, Grant seems like he isn't one you should underestimate" Serena said. Ash thought more about Red's battle with Grant. Grant was a very skilled and talented trainer, he would be a very difficult trainer to beat.
"You're right Serena. Watching Red face him was really an eye opener on what he's capable of" Ash said thinking more about how he was going to battle Grant. Clemont and Bonnie walked into the pokemon center.
"Hey guys we just checked and Grant's back" Clemont said.
"Sweet, let's get going!" Ash said. The group got up and left the pokemon center for the gym. After walking the long path up the cliffside towards the gym. After 26 minutes of walking they reached the gym. Once inside they saw Grant standing on top of the battlefield looking down at them.
"Ash, I had a feeling you'd be here sometime".
"Grant I'm ready for a gym battle!" Ash said.
"Good, climb up if you want, or take the elevator".
"I climbed last time and I didn't even battle. I'm definitely climbing this time" , "Pika!". Ash began climbing the cliffside while Serena and the others watched carefully as he scaled the rocky walls.
"Be careful" Serena said. When Ash got to the top, the others got into the elevator. As Ash climbed onto the battlefield Grant walked over and helped him get over the edge.
After another minute the rest of the group came out of the elevator with one of Grant's students. Grant's student walked to the side of the battlefield as Ash took his position on the other end of the battlefield.
"I heard about what happened at the battle chateau. You guys were lucky no one got hurt".
"It wasn't a total loss, we got to meet Diantha" Ash said.
"The champion!" Grant said in disbelief.
"Yeah, we got to see her battle" Ash said.
"You're very lucky, Diantha is an amazing trainer. I wish I could have been there to watch".
"Alright Ash, you can either face my defensive team or offensive" Grant said.
"Red already faced your offensive team. So i'll face you're defensive" Ash said.
"Defensive it is. But I warn you, the defensive team has one little surprise to it" Grant said.
"Surprise? I wonder what that means?" Bonnie said.
"I hope it's nothing bad" Serena said a little concerned for Ash. Red noticed that Serena sounded a little concerned.
"Serena you seem concerned is everything alright" Red said.
"Huh, oh it's just I know Ash has been really excited for this match and well. I guess I just don't want him to loose after everything he's done to prepare for this match" Serena said looking out at Ash.
"It's alright to be concerned for him Serena, but remember winning and loosing is part of a trainer's journey. Ash knows this, he's lost before and learned from those losses. Also keep in mind that he has done a lot to prepare for this match, which means he's ready to face Grant with everything he's got" Red said.
Serena looked back out at Ash as he took out his first pokeball. She could tell how confident he was and how excited he was for the battle. Seeing this and Red's words made Serena feel a little better.
"Let's do this, I choose you Tyrunt!" Ash shouted. Tyrunt came out and roared at Grant.
"Ahh Tyrunt, I was hoping I'd get to see how well you've been raising him" Grant said as he took out his first pokeball.
"Time to see, go Onix!" Grant threw a pokeball forward and sent out a massive Snake made of stones.
"Oh! His Onix!" Serena said.
"From what we saw at the first Battle Chateau, Ash could have his work cut out for him" Clemont said.
"He can do this" Red said.
"An Onix, I suppose that makes sense for a rock pokemon with high defensive status. We can beat him though! Tyrunt use ancient power!" Ash said. Tyrunt snarled as his eyes glowed violet and 5 large rocks floated above him. He hurled them towards Onix as the massive rock snake watched harmlessly.
"Rock tomb" Grant said. Onix roared as his eyes glowed white and a dozen rocks shot out of the ground. The rocks soared into the air and stopped around his head. Just before the Ancient power could reach Onix, his eyes glowed white again as he hurled the rocks down into the Ancient power. Some of the rocks from Rock tomb smashed into the Ancient power rocks, the rest flew towards Tyrunt.
"Gah! He stopped my ancient-power with Rock tomb? I can't let those rocks hit. Tyrunt use dragon tail, send them right back at him!" Ash said. Tyrunt roared as his tail began to glow violet , once the first rock was close enough Tyrunt jumped up and smashed it with his tail. He did the same for the next few rocks, sending each one back to Onix.
"Onix Iron tail!" the end of Onix's tail immediately turned metal as he raised it above his head. One by one Onix smashed the incoming rocks with his tail, turning them into pebbles.
"Grant's Onix sure is strong" Bonnie said.
"He wasn't lying when he said strong defense" Clemont said.
"That Rock tomb could be a problem, if Ancient power won't work I may have to try and get in close. But wait if I try and get close he could use Rock tomb right above Tyrunt. Shoot I'll need to think about this" Ash said.
"Onix lets set the stage. Use rock tomb again" Onix roared as he lifted another dozen rocks from the ground. Ash and Tyrunt watched carefully as the rocks floated above them.
"Level him" Grant said.
"Tyrunt use Dragon tail to keep those rocks away from you!" Ash said. Onix hurled the Dragon tail down at Tyrunt, who quickly smashed each one away as they approached him. Both Ash and Tyrunt were very surprised at how few were even landing near Tyrunt. Far more were landing around him rather than on him.
After Tyrunt smashed the last one away he and Ash realized what Grant had done. The entire battlefield was not covered in large rocks imbedded into the ground. Onix began to slither through the rocks around Tyrunt.
"So that's what Grant was planning" Clemont said.
"A good strategy, it will allow Onix much more defense" Red said.
"Alright if he's using those rocks to get closer we'll have to strike hard and fast to keep him at a use Ancient power!" Ash shouted as he saw Onix get closer to Tyrunt.
"Onix wrap those rocks around you for defense, then use Iron tail". Onix quickly wrapped his tail around several rocks and moved them in front of his long body. Meanwhile Tyrunt's eyes began to glow violet as he lifted up 5 large rocks and hurled them at Onix. Just as the last rock was hurled, Onix moved a sixth rock in front of his body. The rocks he moved in front of him absorbed the brunt of the Ancient power, yet did enough damage to break the rocks and leave Onix exposed.
"Iron tail!" Onix roared as he lashed out with his tail , smacking Tyrunt across the face and knocking him back a few feet.
"Tyrunt quick get up and use Dragon tail!".
"Flash cannon!" Grant said. Onix's mouth began to glow white as Tyrunt sprinted forward. Once Onix had enough power he unleashed a blinding beam of light that lifted Tyrunt off the ground and hurled him back, smashing him through a rock and landing him right in front of Ash.
"Oh no Tyrunt!", "Pika Pikachu!".
"Ash be careful he's really powerful!" Serena shouted.
"While this may be my defensive team, they never forget the best defense is a good offense" Grant said.
"Tyrunt please you have to get up" , Tyrunt grunted as he got to his feet.
"There's got to be a way to beat him, but with those stones he's got a solid defense everywhere. Even worse he can just make more rocks with Rock tomb if he runs out. If only there was a way we could affect everything on the battlefield" Ash said. Not a moment later Tyrunt's legs began to glow red.
"Hey what's going on with Tyrunt?" Serena said. Ash and Pikachu also noticed this as they looked down.
"Tyrunt are you ok?". Tyrunt roared as he jumped almost 6 feet into the air then slammed his feet hard into the ground. When his large feet made contact with the ground, the entire gym began to shake and rumble.
"Ahh! It's an Earthquake!" Bonnie shouted as she held onto Clemont's legs. The others had to hold onto the railings while the Earthquake rattled the gym. Grant and Ash were nearly knocked off their feet , while Onix took heavy damage from the Earthquake. While the rocks he place around the battlefield were destroyed.
"Hey! Tyrunt I think you just learned Earthquake!"Ash said.
"Graww!" Tyrunt roared in happiness.
"If he learned Earthquake this could turn the battle in his favor!" Serena said in excitement.
"H'mm, Onix use Rock tomb" . Onix roared as he lifted a dozen rocks into the air then hurled then down at Tyrunt.
"Dragon tail then Earthquake!" Ash said. Tyrunt snarled as his tail glowed violet and he smashed all of the incoming rocks away from him.
" Onix into the air and use Flash cannon!" Grant said. Just before the last few rocks could hit Tyrunt , Onix launched himself into the air . Once again the field was littered with large rocks around Tyrunt.
"Oh no! If he's in the air how can Tyrunt use Earthquake
"Tyrunt launch his own rocks back at him" Ash said. Tyrunt slammed his tail into a some of the boulders lifting them up, then smacked them again towards Onix. When Onix launched Flash cannon there were 3 large boulders in its path that absorbed the brunt of the attack.
"As soon as he hits the ground use Earthquake!". Tyrunt jumped up moments before Onix hit the ground, then slammed his feet into the ground. The result was a small Earthquake that shook the entire gym and knocked Onix out.
"Onix is unable to battle" The ref raising his left flag.
"Great job Ash!" Red said.
"He got him!" Serena said as her face turned slightly red.
"Great job Tyrunt we've got the advantage!" , "Pika Pikachu!".
"Graww!" Tyrunt roared in victory.
"Onix return, you found well Onix be proud. Alright Ash, your skills are impressive but I'm far from beaten. Go Shieldon!" Grant sent out another pokemon. This one was smaller,yellow, had four legs. White toes and a white bump on its back. Had a dark-gray elliptical face, with a prominent white brow and a white rim on its black snout.
"What is that?" Ash said opening his pokedex.
"Shieldon, the Shield Pokémon. The skin on its face is very hard, and it has a habit of polishing it by rubbing against trees."
"Another dinoaur, sweet. Tyrunt go ahead and get some rest, I want to give the others a chance to battle" Ash said. Tyrunt walked back over to Ash as he returned him to his pokeball and took another one out.
"This won't be easy , but if you can beat him you'll get lots of experience. I choose you Charmeleon!" Ash said. Charmeleon came out and snarled at Shieldon as he stared him down.
"Charmeleon? Won't he have a disadvantage?" Clemont said.
"He may, but Ash is trying to make it so his pokemon can handle any pokemon. Even one's they're weak against" Red said. Serena felt one of her pokeballs open and looked over to see Braixen leaning against the rails watching Charmeleon.
"Braix!" She shouted. Serena smiled .
"Supporting your boyfriend too?". Braixen's tail began to wag.
"A Charmeleon. Interesting choice Ash, now I must make you pay for it. Shieldon use Iron head". Shieldon sprinted forward as his head turned more metal than it already was.
"Charmeleon stand your ground, then when he gets close enough move out of the way and blast him with Dragon rage" Charmeleon waited until Shieldon got close enough, then quickly moved to the side just as Shieldon moved past him. Once he was safe Charmeleon turned around and gathered his dragon energy.
"Shieldgon Iron defense!" Shieldon quickly used his feet to spin himself back towards Charmeleon as he tightened his defenses. Charmeleon opened his mouth and blasted Shieldon with a large burst of dragon energy right in the face. However, when the energy cleared Shieldon looks as if he had only been scratched.
" What?" Ash said .
"Char?" Charmeleon said equally confused.
"Shieldon lets try iron head again" Shieldon sprinted at Charmeleon once again.
"Charmeleon wait into he get close then jump forward and use Flamethrower". Ash was hoping that Chamreleon's very powerful Flames , plus the fact that Shieldon was part steel type, he could do some damage. Charmeleon waited until Shieldon got close then dove forward diagonally.
"Shieldon use Protect" Shieldgon once again used his feet to quickly turn towards Charmeleon. Charmeleon took a deep breath then unleashed a massive jet of fire at Shieldon. When the fire cleared Shieldon once again looked unscathed.
"What!?", "Pikachu!".
"His attacks aren't doing anything" Serena said.
"Grant really raised the defense stats of Shieldon" Red said.
"Iron head Shieldon".
"Charmeleon dodge it!".
"Catch him by the leg" Grant said. As Charmeleon dove to the side Shieldon smashed his head into his leg, tripping him up.
"Charmeleon!" Ash shouted.
"Iron head!" Shieldon smashed his head into into Charmeleon knocking him to the ground.
"Charmeleon you have to get up!".
"Keep the pressure on him with Iron head!".
"Charmeleon flamethrower!" . Charmeleon opened his mouth and blasted Shieldon with flames. Despite the powerful flamethrower, Shieldon continued running through and slammed into Charmeleon.
"Charmeleon!" , "Braix!" Braixen shouted.
"Come on Ash don't give up now!" Red shouted. Ash saw Charmeleon struggle to get up as Shieldon prepared to use Iron head again.
"What am I going to do, his head is too strong" Ash said . That is when he saw Shieldon's underside and had an idea.
"Charmeleon stay on the ground" Ash said.
"What is he doing?" Serena said.
"I don't know" Red said . Even Charmeleon was a bit confused by what his trainer was planning.
"Hit him with everything you've got Shieldon, and use your head to trip him up if he tries to move" Grant said.
"Charmeleon Dragon claws on the side of his head then the backs of his legs". Charmeleon's claws glowed violet as Shieldon came in. At the last moment Charmeleon jumped up and Shieldon moved his head to try and trip him. However, Charmeleon was ready. He slammed his claws against he side of Shieldon's head , pushing him back to Shieldon's side. Once he was , Charmeleon racked the inside of Shieldon's legs and pulled them forward.
The result was Shieldon being forced off his legs and fall onto his side, leaving his stomach exposed.
"Shieldon get back onto your feet!" Grant screamed franticly.
"Charmeleon Dragon rage!" Charmeleon roared as he blasted Shieldon's stomach with dragon rage at point blank range. Shieldon cried out in pain for a few seconds then fell unconscious.
"Shieldon is unable to battle" The ref said.
"So that's what he was doing, Brilliant" Clemont said.
"You've got this Ash! Just one more!" Serena said.
"Braix!" Braixen said equally excited.
"Great job Charmeleon! We've just got one left" Ash said.
"Char" Charmeleon said enthusiastically. Grant returned his Shieldon and then looked back at Ash.
"Well done Ash, you've been battling very well. However, I still have one final ace up my sleeve. A pokemon you'd never except on a defense team" Grant said.
"I'm guessing this is the surprise pokemon you were talking about" Ash said.
"That's right, go!" Grant said. To everyone surprise a massive 16 foot tall Tyrantrum came out and roared at Charmeleon.
"A Tyrantrum! On a defensive team?" Serena said.
"I guess he was a surprise" Red said. Ash and his pokemon looked at Tyrantrum with grim determination.
"This won't be easy but we can beat him. Charmeleon start off with a Dragon rage".
"Tryantrum use Dragon tail to swat it away , then Stone edge". Tyrantrum's tail turned violet, before he smashed the incoming Dragon Rage into into pieces. Once he was clear, Tyrantrum smashed his right foot into the ground. This caused the ground to shake and a dozen spiked rocks to spray right up from under Charmeleon.
"Charmeleon! Quick use Dragon claw to protect yourself!" Ash said. Charmeleon tried to slash some of the rocks, but there were far to many.
"Head Smash!" Tyrantrum roared and sprinted forward as Charmeleon still tried to slash the stones.
"Charmeleon you have to move now!" Ash said. Charmeleon tried to move, but every time he did a rock from Stone edge hit him. Tyrantrum slammed his head into Charmeleon with all his might, hurling the fire lizard back in front of his trainer.
"Charmeleon!", "Pika!".
"Char" Charmeleon said as he lost consciousness.
"Charmeleon is unable to battle" The ref said.
"Oh no!" Red said.
"Charmeleon was knocked out so quickly" Serena said concerned.
"Braixen!" Braixen almost sprinted out onto the battlefield , only to be stopped when Serena grabbed her.
"He'll be ok". Braixen still looked very concerned as Ash returned Charmeleon.
"I'm really proud of you Charmeleon, you battle phenomenally". Ash returned Charmeleon and took out his first pokeball.
"I know he's your evolved form but we can beat him. I choose you Tyrunt!" Tyrunt came out and roared, even when he saw he was facing a Tyrantrum.
"What is he doing? Tyrantrum is Tyrunts evolved form" Clemont said.
"That may be true , but evolution isn't everything" Red said.
"Lets start with an Earthquake!" Ash said. Tyrunt roared as he jumped up into the air and slammed his feet into the ground with immense force. A small Earthquake started to shake the entire gym. Tyrantrum, however, looked uninterested.
"Show him a real Earthquake Tyrantrum" Tyrantrum roared as he jumped up and slammed his massive feet into the ground. This Earthquake made Tyrunt's seem like a little ground tremor. The Earthquake was so powerful, that it made the ref and the others fall over. Pikachu even fell off of Ash's shoulder.
"Pikachu!" he said as he caught his partner.
"Are you ok?".
"Pika!" Pikachu said pointing to Tyrunt.
"Oh no, Tyrunt!" After being hit with Tyrantrum's Earthquake , Tyrunt was knocked unconscious".
"Graww" he said just before blacking out.
"Tyrunt is unable to battle" The ref said as he got up.
"Alright , evolution isn't everything. But it certainly does help" Red said as he got up.
"Ash is down to one pokemon, and Tyrantrum looks like he hasn't even been scratched" Serena said sounding concerned.
"Come on Ash! Don't give up , you can win!" Red shouted. Serena looked back up at Ash and shouted.
"You can do it Ash! I know you can beat him!". As returned Tyrunt and held his third pokeball in front of his face.
"I don't want you to give up now Ash. Keep battling until the end" Grant said.
"It all comes down to this. If he can't beat Tyrantrum all of our work was for nothing" Ash said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said in a stern voice.
"You're right, I can't think like that. We just have to do our best and whatever happens happens" He looked back at his pokeball.
"I know you can do this. You've been training so hard, I believe in you" Ash turned his hat backwards and threw the pokeball forward.
"I choose you Riolu!" Riolu came out and took a battle stance against Tyrantrum.
"A Riolu, well he'll have the type advantage at least. Tyrantrum use Stone edge". " Grant said.
"Riolu dodge with quick attack, then use force palm!" Ash said. Riolu sprinted forward as Tyrantrum slammed his foot into the ground. Riolu moved out of the way just in time as a dozen spiked rocks shot out from behind him. Once he was clear, Riolu sprinted at Tyrantrum with incredible speed and slammed his palm into his opponent's nose.
The force palm pushed Tyrantrum back a few inches, but other than that he looked fine.
"Geeze that move should have been super effective too" Serena said.
"Dragon tail" Grant said.
"Quick attack under him then Brick break, aim for the back of his legs" Ash said. Tyrantrum roared as he slammed his tail towards Riolu, however, Riolu was too fast. Using quick attack he moved out of the tail's path and then sprinted under Tyrantrum's legs. Once he was there Riolu slammed his forearm into the back of Tyrantrum's left leg.
Unfortunately , once again the attack seemed to have little effect.
"Head smash!".
"Quick attack away" Ash said. Tyrantrum hurled his head down towards Riolu, only to have Riolu sprint away from Tyrantrum.
"Well at least Riolu has the speed to avoid Tyrantrum's attacks" Serena said.
"But if he can't make an effective attack, it won't matter much" Red said.
"Stone edge Tyrantrum".
"Quick attack into Force palm, try jumping over his head and hitting the back of his neck!" Ash said . Tyrantrum slammed his foot into the ground as Riolu sprinted forward. Spiked rocks shot out from behind Riolu as he ran forward.
"Not this time, Tyrantrum use Earthquake". Tyrantrum jumped up and slammed his feet into the ground creating another massive Earthquake. When the ground started to shake Riolu was tripped up and fell over.
"Head smash!" Tyrantrum sprinted forward and smashed his head into Riolu, hurling him back in front of Ash.
"Riolu no!" ,"Pika!".
"No! Ash!" Serena said.
"Riolu can you get up?" Ash said. Riolu struggled to get onto his feet, just when he almost got up he fell back onto his stomach.
"No Riolu".
"It seems that Riolu is unable to battle. The winner is" The ref started.
"Riolu I know this seems impossible, and I know you're giving everything you have. I won't ask you to do anymore than you can. But I also know that you can do twice as much as you think you can. Since I caught you, you've been able to do so much more than I could have imagined. So I just want you to look beyond what you think you can do, and do what you know you can do" Ash said.
Riolu was inspired by what his trainer just said. Ever since he became Ash's pokemon , he was able to do so much more than he thought he could. Every time he trained with Ash his limits only got bigger and bigger. He knew Tyrantrum was a juggernaut, but he also knew that with Ash behind him he could win.
Riolu got up and roared at Tyrantrum.
"Oh it appears Riolu is still capable of battling" The ref said.
"They just won't give up" Serena said as she blushed a little. Not a moment later Riolu started to glow and grow larger.
"Huh! Riolu you're evolving!" , "Pika Pikachu!" Ash and Pikachu said.
"No way!" Red said.
" Ash, Riolu" Serena said. Grant was amazed at what he saw. When the glowing stopped Riolu was much taller, had spikes on his hands, longer ears, and black appendages hanging off the back of his head.
"Groow!" He roared.
"Riolu you're a Lucario!" Ash shouted.
"Alright you can get him now Ash!" Red shouted.
"Impressive Ash, but we aren't beaten yet. Tyrantrum use dragon tail".
"Lucario use quick attack under his legs, and use force palm" Lucario sprinted faster than Ash had ever seen him sprint before.
He flew right past Dragon tail and under Tyrantrum. He then slammed his palm into the inside of Tyrantrum's leg with much more force than he did last time. The Force palm was able to sentTyrantrum back a few feet stumbling.
"Tyrantrum use stone edge".
"Lucario use swords dance, then quick attack into force palm". Lucario sprinted forward as Stones flew up from behind him. Once he was clear Lucario began glowing blue for a moment as his attack rose sharply. After using Swords dance Lucario was able to move so fast that he reached Tyrantrum before he could even respond. Once Lucario reached his opponent,he jumped up and slammed his palm into Tyrantrum's face.
Once again Tyranturm stumbled backwards , looking like he was now hurt.
"Lucario is doing really good!" Clemont said.
"Keep it up Ash! You can win this!" Serena said.
"Lucario use Swords dance" Ash said. Lucario raised his arms as he began to glow blue and sharpened his strength.
"Tyrantrum use Earthquake!".
"Lucario Quick attack forward , then jump up and use Close combat!" Ash shouted. Lucario sprinted across the battlefield so fast he was able to get in range of Tyrantrum before he slammed his feet into the ground. Just before the ground began to shake, Lucario jumped up and soared across the air until he reached Tyrantrum's face.
"Close combat!", "Pika!" . Lucario hit Tyrantrum with everything he had. The being powered up by two Swords dances, Close combat had just enough power in it to knock Tyrantrum out.
"Tyrantrum!" Grant shouted as the massive pokemon slammed into the ground unconscious.
"Tyrantrum is unable to battle. The winner is the challenger" The ref said.
"We did it. We won!" Ash shouted. He ran out onto the battlefield and wrapped his arms around Lucario.
"We did it! We beat Grant!".
"Groow!" Lucario shouted in excitement. Ash let his Charmeleon and Tyrunt back out of their pokeballs.
"Guys we won!", "Pika pikachu!".
"Char!", "Graww!". They said very excited.
"Tyrantrum you battled like a true champion. I couldn't ask anymore of you" Grant said as he returned Tyrantrum. He then walked over to Ash as the rest of the gang did. As soon as she reached Ash, Serena almost jumped on his as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and kissed him.
"Grats Ash, you beat a Tyrantrum! I'm impressed little bro" Red said.
When Serena withdrew she still kept hugging her boyfriend.
"I'm so proud of you. Even when it seemed like it was over, you guys kept going and won!".
"I just had to keep faith in myself and my pokemon" Ash said.
"Well Ash, I'm very impressed. I haven't seen someone beat Tyrantrum in a very long time. You've certainly earned this cliff badge" Grant said as his student handed him the badge. Ash took the badge and then showed it to his pokemon.
"Look guys, we won the Cliff badge together" Ash said. His 3 pokemon all shouted out in victory. After a trip to the pokemon center the gang was preparing to head out.
"So , the next gym is in Shalour city. But we'll need to pass through Geosenge Town first" Red said looking at the map.
"Do you think we could make it there before nightfall?" Serena said.
"Serena it's a two day walk, we're gonna have to camp out" Red said.
"Camp out! Like in the open?" Serena said nervously.
"Eh don't worry you can share a tent with Ash. I mean we only have three tents, and I'm sure Bonnie wants to be with her brother" Red said while laughing under his breath. Ash's and Serena's faces both turned red when he said that.
"Well don't just stand there we've got to get to Geosenge Town" Red said as he put his arms around their shoulders and walked them forward.
So Ash and Red now both have 2 badges, I hope you guys liked the battle. So I've been keeping up with the X and Y anime and for those of you have also been watching episodes 30-32 you probably agree with me that while the episodes are interesting , the plot point about a Lucario and his trainer acquiring mega evolution. In the end it's happening to the wrong character. Now Korrina is an interesting Character, we all know that this should be happening to ASH!. Seriously anime just freaking give him a Lucario already. It's something basically every fan of the show has been saying since the movie Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.
So I was just wondering if any of you felt the same way as me. Also an a more important note, Stay tuned for the next chapter because it's going to be a very big one.I've been planning it for a long time and some pretty major events are going to be happening.
As for the little tent situation at the end, Let me answer the question now, there will be NOlemons in this story. I'm just not into that.
Also before I go , I've been thinking about what I'd do after I finnish the story. I had an idea of doing one where it is like 3 or 4 years later when Ash and Serena are 17.
The thing is I had originally planned on the two of them and maybe Red going to Kanto and competing there. Then a few nights ago , I had an idea of a new region based on Africa and thought it might be cool to do something like that.
If I did do a region based on Africa it would be something like the northern part would be a desert. The mid region would be like a savannah , and southern-mid region is like a jungle, while the southern part is more open like southern Africa.
So tell me what you think I should do.
