A/N: Hi there! Yes, this really is a update from me. I'm still alive and well. I hope you guys are still interested in this fanfic?
On to the chapter, I hope you enjoy it!
Ryan could see the pissed off look in Parker's face, he'll even Stevie Wonder could've seen it. Was this really the right time to tell him that Gibbs was more than just a friend?
"I'm really proud of you, Parker. I know this wasn't easy for you." The teenage eye roll that followed was to be expected. Mum's are not allowed to be proud of their teenage sons. "Even though you told Gibbs everything you know he probably needs to talk to you again." She told him as she slowed down for the traffic lights.
"You'd like that, wouldn't you?" He did mumble, but it did not stop her from hearing it.
"Excuse me?"
"What is going on between you and that guy?" It was asked with such anger, that she had to pull the car to the side and face Parker. She had never seen such fury in her sons eyes.
"Now you listen to me young man. What I do in my spare time is none of your business. And if you don't want to be grounded I'd watch that tone if I were you."
All she got in return was another eye roll. And to show him indifference even more he took his phone out and started texting away.
The rest of the journey home was spend in total silence. As soon as she stopped the car outside their house Parker all but sprinted up to the door and used his key to get in. She could just hear the door to his room slam shut as she made her way up the steps leading to the front door. This was going to be difficult and complicated, she thought as she closed the door.
The next day didn't start good for Ryan. Parker was already up by the time she came down to have her first cup of coffee. She knew that her son always had trouble sleeping when something was changing. He worried too much, it was a thing she was very familiar with.
When Parker saw her he said "I'll take the bus to school." He stuffed his lunch in his bag and exited the kitchen.
"Are you sure you don't want to stay home today? What happened to Justin was very traumatic, I'm sure the school will understand."
"I'm fine." There was that anger again, clearly he was not fine.
"I understand you're angry and sad, you shouldn't go to school like that."
"I'm fine." He said again and grabbed his homework off the dining room table.
Ryan reached out and grabbed his arm before her son could leave the house.
She took a deep breath before she told him "I'm sorry that I didn't tell you about Gibbs. After Dad left I've been a little worried about dating other men."
Some of the anger disappeared, so this was the real reason for Parker's anger. Maybe Justin wasn't that close of a friend anymore.
"How long have you been dating?" He finally asked.
"I'm not even sure we are dating anymore, I kind of screwed up."
"What did you do?"
"I didn't call him for two weeks. If he hadn't been at the school yesterday, I probably wouldn't have seen him again."
Parker looked at her really closely, he was one of the few people who could read her emotions by just looking her deeply in the eyes.
"You should call him." He then said.
"What?"
"You want to call him. He was actually ok to talk to." With that said he left his mother standing in the dining room and headed for the front door.
"What about school? Are you sure you're ok to go?"
"I'm fine."
This time she believed him and watched as Parker started running towards the school bus that had just turned into the bus stop.
