Chapter 27: Aura connections
was almost 9:50 in the morning at the northern coast of Kalos in Shalour city, and a pair of young men were already working up a sweat. Having been up since 5 in the morning. Ash took in a deep breath as his eyes glowed blue for a moment. At the same time his Fletchinder's eyes turned blue for a moment.
"Fletchinder Flame Charge" Ash said.
Red took a deep breath as his eyes turned blue, moments later Aero's eyes also turned blue.
"Aero use Steel wing to block it, then Air Slash" Red said. Just after Ash called out his attack he sprinted across the beach at Red, while his Fletchinder flew beside him covered in fire.
Red took a few step forward as his Aerodactly covered his wings in metal. When Ash got close enough he saw a large rock near Red and ran onto of it. One he was onto he attempted to jump kick Red, as his Fletchinder flew down at Aero.
Red easily caught Ash's leg and used his own force against him as he forced Ash into the sand. At the same time Aero covered the front of his body with his now metal wings and absorbed the brunt of Fletchinder's attack. Moments later when Fletchinder was no longer on fire, Aero moved his wings and slashed his opponent with his talons.
"Fletchinder Steel wing and aim for the inside of his wings!" .
"Aero counter with your own Steel wing , then use bite".
When Red came in to hit Ash while he was down, Ash quickly moved onto his back and knocked Red's arm away with his right forearm. Once Red's arm was moved Ash smashed his left palm into Red's face knocking him back a foot.
Meanwhile both pokemons' wings turned metal as they flew at each other. Aero prepared to protect himself with his wings, but Fletchinder was too fast. He struck on the inside of Aero's wings, knocking them to the side.
Once Aero's wings were knocked away, Fletchinder smashed his metal wings into Aero's head.
A few yards away Felix was watching his students spar with each other and their pokemon. Standing beside him was his Lucario and Gurkinn.
"They're doing well, it took me a while before I got this kind of fighting down" Gurkinn said.
"They still have a lot of work to do" Felix said. A few yards away from them Serena and Korrina were watching the two boys duke it out. Pikachu was sitting in Serena's lap.
"Tell me again what are they doing exactly?" Serena said.
"It's called aura synchronized fighting. It's where you and your pokemon try to synchronize your aura as you fight together. I did this a few times with my Lucario against other recruits. It's actually pretty exciting, fighting with your pokemon" Korrina said.
Serena and Pikachu looked back at Ash who had not gotten up.
"Fletchinder Flame Charge, fly low then up" .
"Aero Bite his wing then Slash him" . Ash tried to knock Red's right arm to the side with his forearm , but Red quickly got hold of Ash's arm and moved under him. This allowed Red to for Ash's arm behind him , holding his brother in place.
At the same time Aero quickly lunged forward and bit Fletchinder's left wing and held him in place.
"Looks like Red's got him" Korrina said with a hint go excitement.
"Don't count my Ash out yet, he's not one to give up so easily" , "Pika" Pikachu said agreeing with Serena. Ash forced his right foot back outside of Red's right heel and pulled it forward. This broke Red's stance and allowed Ash to smash his right elbow into Red's chest.
Thus forcing Red to let go of Ash's arm and knocking him back. At the same time as Aero prepared to Slash Fletchinder, Fletchinder quickly forced himself up. Slashing Aero across the face with his flaming talons and forcing the dinosaur to let him go.
"You see, he never gives up" . Ash and Red were about to continue when Felix stepped in between them.
"That's enough boys" Felix said. Ash and Red both started breathing deeply to catch their breath.
"You both did very good, you both already seem very in synch with your pokemon".
"Thanks Felix" Red said.
"Well, we've been training enough for this morning. Why don't you two get some breakfast before we continue".
"Sounds good" Ash said. Serena and Korrina got up went with the two brothers to the pokemon center. After giving Aero and Fletchinder to Nurse Joy , the 4 teenagers found a table and got some breakfast.
"You two did well today, I remember when I did Aura synchronized battling" Korrina said.
"It looked hard, you two must be exhaughsted" Serena said.
"We've been up since five, you don't know the half of it" Red said.
"What were you doing before we got up?" Serena asked.
"Well we started with a 4 mile run around the beaches as a warm up. Then he had us scale the cliffside. Mostly things we had already done before" Ash said.
"I think he just wanted to see how we could still do things like that" Red said.
"How long are your training sessions going to last?".
"Felix said they'd vary. Some will only be in the morning, some only at night, and some will take all day" Ash said.
"By the way where are Clemont and Bonnie?" Red asked.
"Right, Bonnie said she found a very pretty girl at the market earlier and went looking for her. Then Clemont went looking for Bonnie" Korrina said. Not a moment later the pokemon center doors opened and Clemont walked in with Bonnie in the robotic arm.
Clemont's face was as red as an apple as he walked inside.
"Bonnie you do not ask strangers to marry me, you do not follow them around, and you do not pick out their wedding dress!" Clemont nearly screamed.
"I'm only trying to help you brother". Clemont sighed as he sat down at the table with the others.
"How was training?" He asked.
"Long and hard, but fun" Red said.
"Where are you training next?".
"Back on the beaches, but we'll be training for the rest of the day so you guys should probably find something do do without us" Ash said.
"I don't mind" Serena said.
"Serena it's ok, I just don't want you sitting around watching us when you could be having a better time".
"Ash is right, the two of us could have some fun with our pokemon Serena. I mean you've still got a lot of bonding to do with your Absol before he can Mega evolve" Korrina said.
"Yeah and we could go shopping, get our hair done, and look for a wife for my brother1".
"What!?".
"Well except finding a wife for Clemont, the rest of that does sound pretty good".
"Eh, well personally i've never been a fan of shopping, or getting my hair done" Korrina said sweat dropping.
"Oh come on Korrina, you'll love it"
"Yeah come on" Bonnie and Serena both grabbed one of Korrina's arms and pulled out out of the pokemon center.
"Uh Clemont, unless you want a fiancee I'd go with them" Red said.
"Right" He said sweat dropping as he followed the girls.
"Poor Korrina, I'm just glad we're not getting sucked into that. Of course you've been sucked into that before".
"What?".
"Back at the perfume place, seriously Ash you let her put a leash on you".
"Well when you get with Korrina I'm sure she'll put a leash on you".
"What?".
"Don't even , I've seen the way you look at her bro".
"We're just friends!" Red said defensively as his face slightly blushed.
"Well Red, keep telling yourself that. All I know is that you look at her the way I looked at Serena".
"Shut up". Pikachu laughed a little before climbing onto Ash's shoulder. After Ash and Red got their pokemon back they went down to the beach and met Felix.
"Alright now that we've gotten warmed up it's time for the real training to begin".
"What are we going to be doing?" Ash asked.
"We did some Aura synchronized fighting which was a good start. But now we're going o move onto more advanced forms of feeling Aura. Eventually you'll be able to use Aura to do just about anything".
Felix got up and turned to a large rock sitting. He took a deep breath as his eyes turned blue and his hands began glowing blue. The rock started to glow blue and lifted up a few feet.
Felix's other hand started to glow blue as a small blue sphere formed. Felix thrusted his other hand forward launching the Aura sphere into the rock, bursting it into pieces.
"Amazing", "Pika".
"Aura is the key to unlocking every pokemon's true potential. That's what we're going to work on now. Take out your pokemon". Ash and Red let out all of their pokemon.
"Toto to dile!" Totodile shouted as he danced around. He closed his eyes and blasted Ash with water.
"Your Totodile has a lot of spirit".
"Yeah he does" Ash said sweat dropping.
"Well why don't you try reading his Aura". Ash turned to Totodile and took a deep breath. Ash started to feel Totodile's aura and could feel all of Totodile's excitement and happiness. Totodile's Aura was filled with joy and life.
"Now try and connect your Aura with his" Felix said.
Ash concentrated as tried to open up his Aura to Totodile's. Totodile's Aura began to interact with his own as he felt his own happiness rise. It was like Totodile's joy was increasing his own. At the same time Totodile could feel Ash's Aura, all of his kindness and caring nature. As their Auras' stayed connected ,both Ash and Totodile felt like they were bonding and spending days with each-other.
"It's amazing" Ash said. His Tododile ran over and hugged Ash's chest as he rubbed his head against his chest.
"Good, now let's see how well he can battle".
"What? But I haven't had a chance to train with him yet" Ash said.
"We'll be training with all of your pokemon today, but there is something you'll need to see".
"I'll have Noibat go against him". Ash and Totodile got up as Red got up with his Noibat.
"Alright Totodile use water gun".
"Noibat fly low and use Wing attack". Noibat did a steep dive as Totodile blasted a small jet of water at him. The watergun flew just over Noibat as he re-angled his wings and flew into Totodile, slashing him with his wings.
"Great job Noibat follow up with Steel wing".
"Totodile grab him with Bite and smash him into the ground". Totodile tried to grab Noibat's left wing , but Noibat was too fast. He smashed both his wings into Totodile, hurling him into the sand.
"Pika" Pikachu said concerned. This was what Ash was afraid of, he hadn't had any time to do any training with Totodile. However, despite this Ash still felt very confident that he and Totodile could win. He didn't know why his faith and drive was so strong for this particular battle, but it was.
"Totodile we can do this, Water gun full power!".
"No you don't Noibat quickly flew into the air the come down with Air cutter". Noibat flew up, but Totodile wasn't out of the fight yet. He felt inspired and determined by his new bond with Ash. He quickly took aim at Noibat and unleashed a massive water gun that hit Noibat dead on.
"What the?" Red said completely surprised.
"Alright! Totodile now use Bite!" , "Toto dile!" Totodile shouted as he sprinted forward and caught Noibat in his jaws as he fell down.
"Finnish him!". Before Noibat could make another move , Totodile smashed him into the sand with his powerful jaws until Noibat had swirly eyes.
"That's enough Totodile" Felix said.
"Totodile that was incredible!" Ash said. Totodile let go of Noibat then ran into Ash's arms.
"How did he do that?" Red said.
"A pokemon's ability in battle isn't based solely on their abilities. But their bond with their trainer" Felix said.
"But he just caught that totodile. I've been with my Noibat for months".
"Ash's bond with Totodile is now so strong because he made a true connection with Totodile's arua. When you open up your Aura to another and they open their Aura to yours, then you will grow as a trainer and pokemon faster than you could have ever imagined. This is why Aura Guardians were the first people to wield Mega evolution".
"That's amazing" Red said.
"Now I want you to try the same thing again with your first pokemon". Red's Charizard came over to him as Ash turned his head to Pikachu on his shoulder. They both took a deep breath then began feeling their pokemon's aura.
"Now connect to their Aura". Ash and Pikachu already had a strong relationship, but the moment their Auras' met, it was like nothing Pikachu had ever felt before. Already knew Ash's true nature, but now he saw it in a the purest way. He was able to connect with Ash in a level that he had never been able to before.
At the same time Charizard was feeling the same way. Charizard Licked Red across the face as he nearly tackled him into the ground. Pikachu nudged his head against Ash's neck.
"Once you've opened up your Aura to your pokemon. You will find your bond will grow at an exponential rate" Felix said. Elsewhere just outside the Tower of Mastery, Serena was with Korrina and Bonnie.
"Mienfoo use swift" Korrina said.
"Absol dodge and use Night slash". Korrina's Mienfoo quickly whipped her hands forward, unleashing several spiked stars at Absol. Absol began moved from place to place as star spikes flew past him. It seemed like he was going to make it , until he landed on the ground one more time. Absol grunted as pain raked across his legs and side.
"Absol" Serena said concerned. Absol was raked across the side by 2 of the swifts.
"Absol you have to get up!" Serena cried. Absol grunted as he got back on his feet and stared Mienfoo down.
"I guess he's still hurt from those Mega Ampharos" Serena said.
"Mienfoo use Drain Punch".
"Absol use detect into Night Slash!". Absol prepared himself to avoid the incoming punch, but when he saw Mienfoo's fist glowing he started to hesitate.
"Absol?" Serena said when she saw him. Serena could see pure fear in Absol's eyes as Mienfoo got closer.
"Absol you have to use Detect now!" Serena shouted.
"Absol don't just sit there!" Bonnie cried. Absol just continued to give a look of pure fear as Mienfoo slammed her fist int into Absol's face, knocking him out could.
"Absol!" Serena ran over to him and put her arms around his head.
"Absol, I'm so sorry". Absol opened his eyes and looked up at his trainer. There was a look of disappointment in his eyes, but not in his trainer, in himself. Korrina and Mienfoo walked over to Serena and her Absol.
"Is he ok?".
"I really don't know. He's still feeling pain from the battle with Earl, and he froze up in the middle of the battle".
"I think I might know what's wrong. Absol took on not one, but two Mega Ampharos at once. The physical trauma was bad enough, but now he's got a type of post traumatic stress fear from all that power".
"Oh Absol" Serena said holding onto him. Later that night Korrina was looking out at the stars on the beach in front of the Tower of Mastery with her Lucario beside her. She heard a set of footsteps behind her and turned around to see Red with his Charizard.
"Oh Red, I didn't know you were coming down here".
"You don't mind if we stay do you?".
"Of corse not" Korrina said trying to hide her blush. Red and his Charizard sat down next to Korrina and her Lucario.
"We had a fun day of training today".
"What did you do?".
"Well you saw us doing Synchronized fighting with our pokemon. But after lunch we dove deeper into Aura".
"Really, tell me more".
"Well we opened up our aura connections to our pokemon for the first time. It was possibly the most amazing thing in my entire life" Red said as his Charizard lowered his head and nudged his snout against Red's face.
"I remember when I first opened up my aura with Lucario. Of corse he was a Riolu then. I know exactly how exciting it is. If you thought your relationship with your pokemon was strong before, just wait".
"So did you have a fun time with Serena and Bonnie?". Korrina sighed as she looked at the ground.
"Well first they dragged me shopping all over town, then we had to get our hair done".
"I noticed, it looks nice" Red said before he realized he said it out-loud. His Charizard turned to him and gave him a eyebrow raising smile as Red's face turned red. Korrina's face turned just as red as she turned away from him.
"Uh thanks" She said nervously. Elsewhere on top of the tower, Serena was leaning agains the balcony railing. She sighed as she stared at her Absol's pokeball.
"Serena" She heard behind her. She turned around to see Ash and Pikachu walking towards her.
"Oh hey Ash, did you have a fun day with Felix?".
"It was amazing, what we did today might have changed my life forever" Ash said.
"Pika" Pikachu said pointing Serena's very sad looking expression.
" Serena are you ok?".
"Not good".
"What's bothering you?"
"It's my Absol, he's not doing well. He's still in pain from the Ampharo's , and he's so scared that he's freezing up in battle".
"Freezing up?".
"You should have seen the look on his face, he looked terrified. I just feel so bad for him, and I don't know what to do". Ash put his hands around Serena's shoulders and pulled her closer to him.
"Serena, everything is going to be ok. I can understand how upsetting this is, but what you and Absol need is time. Time for his wounds to heal, both on the outside and the inside".
"But how am I going to cure him of his fear?".
"By boosting his confidence. You just need to train with him more and show him what he can do. Then he'll feel better about himself and will shed his fear".
"You're probably right Ash, I just need to train with him".
"I'm here for you Serena. I promise I'll train with you and Absol until he's as confident as the day you caught him". Serena's face turned slightly red.
"Thanks Ash, I'm so lucky to have you. By the way, you said that something you did with Felix changed your life forever. I'd like to hear more about that".
"Oh right, well what he did was have Red and I open up our Aura's to our pokemon and connected to theirs. It was like becoming one with our pokemon. We could see each other for who were really were and in a way that was unbelievable. The best part was that we opened up to each other for more growth in our bond than we ever could have before" Ash said as Pikachu nudged his head against his trainer's shoulder.
"That sounds amazing. I wish I could experience something like that" Serena said looking out at the ocean. That was when Ash had an idea, a very interesting idea.
"Maybe you can".
"What?" She said as she turned towards him. Ash took a deep breath then whisked Serena back and almost off her feet as she held her in an angle with her back leaning up against his arms. He gave her a deep and passionate kiss as her face turned completely red. After the initial surprise Serena could feel something else inside her.
It was like she could feel Ash's presence interacting with her own in a magnificent way. Ash opened up his aura to Serena's as he connected his Aura to hers the same way he did with his pokemon. The two kept kissing for nearly a 3 minutes as Serena was able to see Ash in his truest form as he was able to see Serena in the same way. Their bond began to get stronger by the moment as their Auras continued to interact with each other.
After the 3rd minute passed Ash moved his head back as Serena gave the most satisfied goofy smile.
"That is what it was like, except in a pokemon trainer like bond" Ash said.
"That was, just amazing. I've never felt anything like that before" She said.
"Well since I opened up our Aura's to each other, I can promise you that every time we kiss from not it. It will be like that" Ash said. Not a second passed before Serena grabbed Ash by the head and almost violently pressed her lips against his.
The next morning after a quick trip to the pokemon center, Ash and the others went to the Shalour city gym.
"Welcome to my gym" Korrina said as she opened the doors. The gym interior was large with elevated platforms and traffic cones. Several young trainers were on roller skates , rolling across the orange arena.
"This is your gym!" Bonnie said in amazement.
"Yup, this is my gym. The roller rink was my own choice". She lead them across a glass bridge to a battlefield over lookig the entire gym. Gurkinn and Felix were already waiting there.
"Ah there you kids are. Are you ready for your gym battle Ash?" Gurkinn said,.
"Oh I'm ready", "Pika!". Ash stood on one end of the battlefield as Korrina took the other.
"I've been looking forward to this Ash. I'll have you know that Lucario isn't part of my gym team, so I'd appreciate none of your Pokemon that can Mega evolve".
"That wouldn't be fair, don't worry I won't use Lucario or Charizard". Gurkinn stepped up towards the side of the battlefield.
"This will be an official Kalos league gym battle between the leader Korrina and the challenger Ash. It will be a 3 on 3 battle, the first trainer to knock out all 3 of their opponent's pokemon will be the winner. Only the challenger will be allowed to substitute pokemon. Let the battle begin".
"Fletchinder I choose you!" Ash's Fletchinder came out and flew above his trainer.
"Mienfoo time to battle!" Korrina's Mienfoo came out and took a fighting stance against Fletchinder.
"Fletchinder use Flame charge, fly close to the ground then angle your wings up".
" Mienfoo use swift right in his path, then use Jump kick". Mienfoo quickly whipped her hands forward and unleashed a small barrage of spiked stars at Fletchinder, as the firebird lit himself up and flew down close to the ground.
"Dodge those , use your speed to move forward in bursts". Fletchinder quickly moved forward in quick bursts of speed as the spikes flew past him. When Mienfoo saw Fletchinder easily avoid each of her spikes, she jumped up with her leg faced forward.
"Fletchinder, angle up now! As narrow as possible" Fletchinder quickly re-angled his wings and flew nearly straight up. He narrowly avoided Mienfoo as she flew right under him with her leg still facing forward.
"Backflip!" Ash shouted. Fletchinder quickly dove backwards and slammed into Mienfoo's back as she fell towards the ground. The force from Fletchinder's attack plowed Mienfoo into the ground and dealt a lot of damage to Mienfoo.
"You got her Fletchinder!" Ash shouted.
" Ash is doing well" Clemont said.
"He's been training hard for this, He's going to give everything he's got" Serena said.
"Hey Red who are you rooting for?" Bonnie said.
"Ash of course, why would you ask?".
"Well if you're going to marry Korrina I thought you might root for her". Red's face quickly turned red as he sighed.
"Would you please just stop that".
"Fletchinder quickly follow up with Razor wind".
"Mienfoo you need to move!". Mienfoo turned around just in time to see Fletchinder violently whipping his wings and creating a powerful burst of wind. The wind broke into smaller streaks that flew down into Mienfoo as she tried to endure.
"Keep it up Fletchinder!".
"Mienfoo show him your true power. Bounce!" Mienfoo gave a determined look as she lowered her legs , then sprung herself up into the air with incredible force. As she flew up , Mienfoo crashed into Fletchinder easily knocking him back. Before Fletchinder or Ash could do anything Mienfoo came back down and slammed her feet into Flechinder's back , plowing him into the ground.
"Great job Mienfoo! We've got him now, finnish that fiery bird with Drain punch.
"Fletchinder don't give her that chance, Ember!". As Mienfoo raised her fist, Fletchinder still had plenty of determination now that his bond with Ash was growing faster than ever. He raised his beak and blasted Mienfoo in the face with a burst of fire. This knocked Mienfoo off balance as she stumbled backwards.
"Steel wing!".
"Mienfoo jump kick!" As Fletchinder flew right at Mienfoo, his opponent easily regained her footing and leapt forward crashing her foot right into Fletchinder.
"Dam it, she's good" Serena said.
"Keep in mind, whatever Felix has taught Ash and I about pokemon, Gurkinn has already taught it to Korrina" Red said.
"Fletchinder dig in with your wings and retaliate!". Fletchinder still had determination as he used his wings to plant his body into the ground on impact. When the two pokemon stopped, Fletchinder whipped his metal wings around and slammed them into the sides of Mienfoo's head. This momentarily disoriented her, giving Ash and opportunity.
" Flame charge!". Fletchinder squawked as he covered himself in fire and flew right into Mienfoo at point blank range, knocking her out cold.
"Mienfoo is unable to battle" Gurkinn said.
"Alright! You beat her Fletchinder". Fletchinder proudly flew over his trainer as Korrina returned her Mienfoo.
"You battled well Mienfoo, don't let this demoralize you. Well Ash I'm impressed with your pokemon's determination. But don't think you're the only one with determined pokemon. Go Machoke!" A large an muscular pokemon came out flexing in front of Korrina.
"What is that?" Serena said opening her pokedex.
"Machoke, the Superpower Pokémon. With enough strength to lift a giant truck with one hand, Machoke are often used to extremely heavy work.".
"It looks scary" Bonnie said.
"Ash still has the advantage numbers wise" Serena said.
"I wouldn't could Korrina out though, she's got real determination" Red said.
"Fletchinder rest up, you've done enough for now. Alright time to give you a chance, I choose you Totodile". Totodile came out and began happily jumping around.
"Machoke let's start off with Karate chop".
"Totodile slow him down with a water gun". Totodile opened his mouth and blasted Machoke with a jet of water. Machoke, however , didn't seem bothered by the water as he charged forward with his arm raised.
"Wait for it" Ash thought to himself.
"The water gun isn't working" Serena said concerned.
"I think Ash has something else planned" Red said.
"Karate chop!". Machoke swung his arm down at the smaller pokemon.
"Totodile slide under his legs and use slash" Totodile slid across the water now on the ground and went right past Machoke's arm. Once he was between Machoke's legs, Totodile slashed the inside of Machoke's legs and landed beyond him.
"Machoke football kick him" Machoke quickly turned around and smashed the top of his right foot into Totodile's lower jaw, knocking him into the air.
"Cross chop!" Machoke quickly came forward and slammed both of his arms into Totodile, hurling him back towards Korrina.
"Totodile don't let him get you down. Show him your Leer". Totodile got up filled with determination and unleashed Leer. When Machoke was hit, his defenses were lowered, but he didn't even blink.
"Machoke use Karate chop".
"Dodge and use bite on his arm". Totodile waited until Machoke got close then quickly moved to the side just enough to avoid the attack. When Machoke's arm hit the ground, Totodile bit it as hard as he could. Machoke tried to shake him off as he smashed his other arm towards Totodile. Totodile quickly jumped over and bit Machoke's other arm.
"Machoke it he wants to hang on, use Submission". Machoke smiled as he dove forward and slammed into the ground with Totodile under him.
"Totodile!". When Machoke got up Totodile was lying under him unconscious.
"Totodile is unable to battle".
"Alright way to battle Machoke". Machoke roared as he pounded his chest.
"Poor Totodile" Serena said as Ash returned him.
"You fought as hard as you could Totodile. I'm proud of you, time to get him. I choose you Fletchinder" Fletchinder came back out and flew above Ash.
"Fletchinder fly in and use Flame charge".
"Machoke move back and use Karate chop".
"Fletchinder cover yourself with Steel wing!" Machoke lurched back as Fletchinder flew in, then slammed his arm down towards Fletchinder. At the last moment Fletchinder threw his metal wings up over his body. Fletchinder's wings managed to protect himself from the Katate chop.
"Flamecharge!" Fletchinder quickly re-covered himself in fire and flew right into Machoke's face.
"Machoke use Focus Energy!". As Machoke stumbled backwards , he regained his footing and took a deep breath as he focused his energy and began to glow blue.
"Fletchinder use Steel wing".
"Cross chop!". The two pokemon clashed, neither able to overpower the other.
"Rock Tomb!" Machoke quickly jumped above Fletchinder with several massive rocks in his hands.
"Fletchinder use Steel wing!" Fletchinder brought his wings up but was too late. The first boulder slammed into him and plowed him into the ground. Before he could do anything else Machoke slammed another 4 rocks on top of him, knocking Fletchinder out.
"Fletchinder!".
"Fletchinder is unable to battle".
"Alright that's two Machoke! Just one more". Machoke roared as he flexed his arms.
"Fletchinder return. I know you did your best, get some recovery time. Pikachu are you ready?", "Pika!" Pikachu jumped down and sparked his cheeks.
"It's all up to Pikachu now" Clemont said.
"I know he can do it, come on Ash!" Serena said.
"Machoke use Rock tomb!".
"Pikachu Quick attack off those rocks into Iron tail". Pikachu quickly used his speed to jump off each of the incoming rocks as Machoke threw them.
"Machoke Cross chop him!". Pikachu leapt off the last rock as Machoke prepared to smash him away with Cross chop. At the last moment before Machoke could hurl his arms, Pikachu slammed his metal tail into Machoke's left arm. This forced Machoke's arm down and allowed Pikachu to avoid his other arm as he slammed his tail on top of Machoke's head. Pikachu quickly kicked off of Machoke as he started to reel back and hurl his fist at Pikachu
"Machoke Cross chop, aim low!.
"Pikachu move over him and Iron tail!". As Machoke came in low with his arms , Pikachu leapt up and over Machoke's head and onto his back. Once Pikachu was on Machoke's back he slammed his now metal tail into him , knocking Machoke onto his stomach.
"That's it Pikachu ! We've got him!".
"Pikachu is really performing well out there" Serena said.
"Pikachu might just win Ash the battle" Red said. Machoke get him off you then use rock Tomb into Cross chop, but keep him away from your head and legs".
"Pikachu use quick attack to keep your distance away from Machoke!". Pikachu used his incredible speed to avoid each of the incoming rocks at Machoke hurled them at him. After Pikachu avoided the last rock, Machoke lunged forward and unleashed Cross Chop towards Pikachu. Pikachu smiled as he jumped back as fast a lightning, easily avoiding the Cross chop.
"Dam that Pikachu is too fast and Agile" Korrina said.
"Pikachu Thunder!", "Pika chu!" Pikachu shouted as he unleashed a massive bolt of electricity, engulfing Machoke. When the Thunder ended , Machoke was on the ground unconscious.
"Machoke is unable to battle".
"Alright that was awesome Pikachu!", "Pika!".
"Pikachu didn't even get a scratch on him! He can beat her!" Serena said. On the other side of the battlefield Felix and his Lucario were watching with proud expressions.
"His Pikachu is incredible, and their bond is so strong. It sort of reminds me of us" Felix said to his Lucario. Lucario nodded in agreement.
"Machoke return, you battled very well I couldn't have asked for any more. Well Ash I'm more than impressed with your Pikachu. But I don't plan on loosing, it's time for my ace. Go Hawlucha!". Korrina's Hawlucha came out and held her arms forward.
"Hawlucha use Arial ace!".
"Pikachu Thunderbolt!". Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt as Hawlucha leapt into the air and soared with her wings. Hawlucha dove down just in time to avoid the Thunderbolt and raised her claws to use Arial ace.
"Pikachu get back!". Pikachu lurched back just in time as Hawlucha slammed her claws into the ground.
"Pikachu use Quick attack".
"Hawlucha front flip into Wing attack!". As Pikachu sprinted forward Hawlucha leapt up and over Pikachu with a front flip. Once Pikachu was directly under her, Hawlucha came down and smacked her wings into Pikachu's back knocking him forward.
" Nice hit Hawlucha". Pikachu quickly got up and sparked his cheeks.
"Let's keep on her Pikachu, use quick attack into Iron tail".
"Hawlucha into the air then Flying press" Hawlucha quickly leapt into the air above Pikachu as he sprinted forward.
"Pikachu use thunder directly above you!".
"Hawlucha dive down straight!" Hawlucha dove down straight and moved out of the Thunder's path before flattening out.
"Pikachu move!" Pikachu used his speed to move out of Hawlucha's path just in time as Hawlucha hit the ground.
"High jump kick!" As soon as Hawlucha hit the ground, she hurled herself forward with her leg held out. Pikachu tried to move but Hawlucha came at him too fast, and slammed her foot into Pikachu's chest.
" Pikachu!".
"Hawlucha is even faster than Pikachu" Bonnie said.
"Don't count Pikachu out yet" Serena said.
"Great job Hawlucha! We've got him on the ropes. Use Flying press!".
"Pikachu stay where you are". Pikachu stood where he was with determination in his eyes. Hawlucha flew down at Pikachu with her stomach facing down.
"Pikachu back , the come forward again with Iron tail", PIkachu lurched back just enough to avoid Flying press, then came forward and slammed his tail into Hawlucha's face.
"Hawlucha over him into Wing attack".
"Pikachu Iron tail behind you" Pikachu quickly turned around as Hawlucha leapt and frontflipped over Pikachu. Hawlucha's wings met Pikachu's tail as both pokemo were pushed back.
"Pikachu Thunder!".
"Hawlucha Flying press".
"Pika chu!" He shouted as he unleashed a massive bolt of electricity forward. Hawlucha leapt up into the air. At the same time Pikachu unleashed a second bolt of electricity into the air and hit Hawlucha dead on.
"Hawlucha!". Hawlucha hit the ground unconscious.
"Hawlucha is unable to battle, the winner is the challenger Ash Ketchum".
"We won, we won!" Ash shouted. Pikachu ran back into Ash's arms.
"I'm so proud of you Pikachu, we've got our third badge!". Korrina walked over to Hawlucha and helped her up.
"Hawlucha you battled valiantly, like a warrior".She returned her pokemon then walked over to Ash with Gurkinn.
"Well Ash that was quite a battle, you and your pokemon have certainly earned this badge" Gurkinn said as he handed it to Ash.
"Pikachu we're one step closer to the pokemon league" Ash said as he took the badge and let Pikachu hold it.
"I normally don't like to loose, but that was amazing Ash. Your Pikachu was unbelievable" Korrina said.
"Thanks Korrina, your Pokemon were incredible too". Red and the others came over to Ash to congratulate him.
"Well little bro, you've caught up to me again. Well done".
"You and your pokemon were incredible Ash. I'm so proud of you" Serena said hugging him. Felix and his Lucario came over to Ash with proud expressions.
"Well done Ash, Pikachu. You trained hard, fought together and showed what your bond could accomplish. This is only the beginning of what your new connection will allow you to do".
After a trip to the pokemon center the group was at the outskirts of the city with Korrina, her Lucario, and Felix.
"I'll see you boys when it's time to train again".
"Wait you're really just going to pop in and out on us" Red said.
"Yes, I won't be a 3rd or 6th wheel I guess, on your journey. Be ready to train, and keep yourselves safe" Felix said before walking off with his Lucario.
" Well I guess this is where we part ways" Korrina said.
"Well it was a great time traveling with you" Serena said.
"I hope we can meet up again" Ash said.
"Thanks for all the guidance you gave us on Mega evolution. You really are an amazing trainer, I'm going to miss you" Red said.
"Thanks Red, I'll miss you too".
"Awwe Korrina, you can't leave now" Bonnie said.
"I'm sorry, but I'm a gym leader I can't just leave my post".
"But Clemont's gym leader and he has our father filling in for him. Why can't your grandfather fill in for you?".
"Bonnie, that's not the only reason I can't go. I'm an Aura guardian now and I have more responsibilities".
"But you and Red".
"Bonnie! When are you going to get it in your head. Korrina and I are just friends".
"He's right Bonnie, a guy and a girl can be good friends without there being more to it" Korrina said.
"Awwe".
"Well goodbye" Korrina said as they started to walk in different directions.
So our heroes move on to another adventure on their grand journey in the Kalos region.
"Wait!" Korrina shouted as she ran back towards them.
"Huh" Red said as he and the others turned around.
"I almost forgot something".
"What?" Red said. Korrina grabbed Red by the shoulders and kissed him, leaving Red completely dumbstruck as his face turned red. The two remained locked in that position for nearly a minute before Korrina withdrew.
"I'll be sure to see you later Red. See ya" She said as she skated away with her Lucario close behind.
Red had the most dazed and almost freaked out expression on his face that Ash had ever seen his brother make.
"Ha I knew it!" Bonnie shouted.
"Well big bro, looks like you've got an official love interest" Ash said putting his arm around Red's shoulder.
Author's note
Sorry folks I just can't have Korrina travel with them, we've got a a group of 5 people already. I can promise you that Korrina will make plenty of appearances in other chapters, and her relationship with Red has much more developing to do.
Now I've gotten so many requests for another date chapter with Ash and Serena. I can confirm that I do have one planned and the entire chapter will focus on Ash and Serena's date. However, the date has to take place in Coumarine City to make sense.
Look it will be another two chapters before they get there but I promise as soon as they do it will be the date. Plus there will be plenty of Ash/Serena moments in the next 2 chapters when he's helping her with absol.
Plus now that their aura's are opened to each other their relationship will only grow more.
I want to be clear this is rated T for teen, no lemons, no adult moments, T for teen.
