Freddie's POV

I was sitting on Carly's couch when Sam Kicked my leg.

"I'm hungry get me food!" Sam growled.

"Get it yourself slut!" I growled back.

"Excuse me?" Sam asked her eyebrow shooting up.

"You heard me." I said slightly more quiet.

"You think I'm a slut, huh!" Sam said, raising her voice.

"W-well- I-I; T-That's what I said isn't it?" I stuttered.

"You know what? Fuck off! If you think I'm a slut, YOU DON'T KNOW ME AT ALL!" Sam yelled before storming out. I sat there shocked, my mouth hung open. I've never seen her so upset. She's always so sure of herself. She looked so hurt. I swear I even saw her with tears on her cheeks. Sam never cries. I made Sam cry!

"Hey Freddie. Where's Sam?" Carly asked walking through the door.

"Sh-she's left." I said still shocked.

"What do you mean she's left?" Carly asked now confused.

"I-I made her cry and s-she left." I informed Carly.

"WHAT?!" Carly shouted. "WHEN? WHY?! HOW COULD YOU DO THAT FREDDIE!"

"I don't' know it just happened!" I mumbled.

"YOU SHOULD KNOW SHE'S SENSITIVE FREDDIE, SHE MAY NOT SEEM IT BUT SHE IS!" Carly screamed at me.

"I didn't think it'd upset her, I-I didn't mean it!" I said.

"Well, you better hope she let's this go because otherwise you'll have to pay the price!" Carly warned.

"I know."

"DO YOU EVEN CARE!" Carly started yelling again.

"I'm not sure." I whispered hoping she didn't here me, of course that didn't work.

"OF COURSE YOU DON'T! YOU'VE NEVER CARED ABOUT SAM! IT'S ALWAYS BEEN YOUR STUPID TECHNOLOGY OR YOUR OBSESSION WITH ME, IT'S NEVER BEEN ABOUT SAM! I ALWAYS TOLD HER THAT YOU WERE NEVER THAT CONCIEDED OR EMOTIONLESS AND THAT SHE SHOULD STOP BULLYING YOU BECAUSE YOU CARE ABOUT HER! SO OVER THE YEARS SHE DIDN'T BULLY YOU AS MUCH, THINGS WERE FINALLY GOOD! THEN YOU DATED AND THINGS WERE BETTER I WANTED YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO WORK OUT MORE THAN ANYTHING! THEN YOU BROKE UP AND ALL SAM'S INSECURITIES CAME OUT MORE THAN EVER! EVERYTHING YOU SAID EVERYTHING YOU DID WOULD MAKE HER CRY OR UPSET OR ANGRY! I HAD TO LISTEN TO HER RANTS AND GIVE HER MY SHOULDER TO CRY ON! WELL GUESS WHAT SAM CARES ABOUT YOU MORE THAN YOU KNOW, SHE CARES ABOUT YOUR OPINION MORE THAN ANYONE ELSES AND NOW YOU'VE CALLED HER A SLUT! I HOPE YOU FEEL FUCKING BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF NOW FREDDIE!" Carly screamed before storming to her room and slamming the door. I sat there numb, it was like everything Sam ever talked about to Carly came out in that one speech. Every ounce of Sam's emotion which Sam informed Carly about had been built up for years inside them both and just poured out. Every feeling and thought Sam felt towards me came out. Who knew one little word could do so much. Calling Sam a slut got Carly swearing and Sam crying. Carly never swears and Sam never ever cries. Was what I said really that offensive to the both of them.

I walked into school the next day and saw Carly and Sam speaking by their lockers.

"Hey guys." I said walking up to them. Immediately Sam walked away, that hurt.

"Look Freddie about yesterday, I'm sorry; I know it was mean what you said to Sam but I didn't have to explode like that. Of course I felt bad for Sam since she is my best friend but I had no right to yell at you like that. It's yours and Sam's argument not mine." Carly apologised.

"It's ok Carly, did Sam say anything to you about it?" I asked.

"Well I know we're still friends but can you do me a favour, stay away from Sam." Carly said.

"What no! I can't stay away from Sam we've got iCarly and you and school!" I exclaimed.

"Please for me?" Carly used her flirtatious voice batting her eyes.

"No! It doesn't work on me any more." I growled before walking in the direction Sam went. I walked round the corner and saw Brad and Sam talking. Me and Sam made eye contact and Sam turned back to Brad. I was about to approach, when I paused Sam touched Brads arm playfully and started to bat her eyes. She gave a giggle and squeezed his bicep. I narrowed my eyes scrunching up his eyebrows, this hurt me way more than I thought it would. I crossed my arms and walked up to them.

"Hey guys." I said.

"Oh sup man! Me and Sam were talking about iCarly rehearsals." Brad told me.

"Hey! Brad I've got to go but I'll talk to you later." Sam said to Brad; she started walking away before turning back and giving Brad a flirtatious wave. My frown deepened.

"She's great isn't she?" Brad smirked.

"Sam?" I asked.

"Yeah Sam!" Brad exclaimed.

"I wouldn't say great." I grumbled bitterly.

"I would, she's funny and smart and beautiful-"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Did you serious use those three words to describe Sam!"

"Yes." Brad said amusement clearly relevant in his voice.

"Puckett?!" I exclaimed.

"Yes." Brad laughed.

"Are you nuts?" I asked.

"Look I know you and Sam have always had an, unusual relationship and I know you don't really like her but trust me, when you get to know her she's amazing." Brad explained.

"Hey! I know Sam!"

"Yeah, but you know her in that 'frenemies hanging out because of a mutual friend way' you don't know her in a 'want to be her friend way'." Brad explained. If you call that an explanation. "Look I'm gonna' head to class I'll see you later."

It was the end of school and I saw Sam by her locker, I started to walk over to her but stopped when I saw her with brad. I frowned but continued to walk up to her.

"Hey." I said a little more bitterly than usual.

"Hey." Brad greeted warmly. "So as I was saying, I think your idea for that cheese sketch was pretty awesome."

"Thanks Brad, you really think so?" Sam, asked, not really curious. She clung onto his arm like some sort of leech! I let out a low growl, maybe I do care about Sam after all.

"Yeah, your really funny Sam." Brad Smiled.

"Awe Brad your really sweet." Sam said as she elongated the really she ran her finger through his hair, pouting her lips and moving her head closer to him as she did so.

"T-Thanks I-I'll see you later S-Sam." Brad stuttered nervously, idiot. As Brad left Carly came up to us clapping.

"Not slutty but definitely flirty." Carly laughed.

"I know it's not slutty but I'm building up to it."

"Your trying to be slutty?" I asked feeling a stab to the gut. Sam just stormed away from me.

"She said to me earlier that if that's what you think she is then that's what she'll be." Carly explained. I frowned more. Fix this Freddie.

She's driving me mad. Sam that is, she's so mad at me that she's changing herself. She's flirting with Brad for crying out loud. Brad! The worst part is I think Brad is starting to like it. If she starts going out with Brad I don't know what I'll do. I can't stand to see this happening. It made me sick to watch her run her hand through his hair and cling onto him, it's making me go crazy!

"Sam!" I exclaimed marching up to her and Brad at the GS.

"Hey Freddie." Brad smiled. Sam leaned over to Brad and smiled.

"I'll be right back." She said before pressing her lips to his ear. Brad smiled dumbly making me angrier still. For the first time ever wanted to punch Brad.

"Do you think Sam would be into it if I asked her out?" Brad asked once Sam was out of sight.

"N-Not sure, but I really need to talk to her so can you have this conversation with her later.

"Er, Sure." Brad said before leaving. I waited until Sam got out of the bathroom when she saw me alone, she left. I quickly followed her and grabbed her pulling her into the nearest alley.

"Stop" I grunted. Sam struggled to get out of my grasp but didn't speak.

"You don't have to try and be a slut. It's not in you nature and I didn't mean it." I explained. Silence. "Sam I'm sorry about calling you a slut I didn't mean it."

"Fine!" Sam sighed. "Apology accepted, I won't try and be a slut anymore!"

"Look I just think that you flirting with guys kissing people you aren't dating isn't right."

"Geez, Benson I flirted with, and kissed one guy; hardly slutty."

"Still, I think you should stop flirting with Brad." I grumbled.

"Why do you care?" Sam snapped.

"Because I hate looking at you giggling, squeezing muscles, clinging to him; it makes me sick!" I growled at her.

"Sorry that me getting attention is hard for you to see!" Sam snapped again.

"It's not that, it's just I-I don't like seeing you with Brad like that?" I tried explaining.

"Why not?" Sam asked, slightly calmer.

"B-because it's just- I just don't like seeing you like that with other guys!" I exclaimed frustrated.

"Other guys?" Sam asked, curiosity and amusement taking over her.

"What I meant was Brad."

"You said other guys. Like other than who? You?" Sam questioned.

"N-No w-what t-that-" I was cut off by Sam's lips against mine, I couldn't help but groan. Sam pulled away before I could respond.

"I'll stop acting like a slut, Freddie. With these 'other guys!'" Sam whispered sweetly into my ear. With that she left.
