Characters are not mine.
Guys...I'm so so so incredibly sorry.
I moved out of my parents' because of university's intensity, and I didn't have an internet connection until a few days ago.
I know this chapter is short, but finals are soon to come and I have tons of stuff to learn.
Nevertheless I can promise one thing: From february 14 on, I'll have 2 months just to work on this story. I am going to put all my energy into it, so I can set up a publishing scedule again.
Thank you so much for all the worried and kind messages you guys sent me 3
There's nothing better than feeling loved.
The meeting went by quickly. At least that's how Jane felt about it.
The young psychologist, she had to be in her early thirties Jane thought, was nice and easy to talk to.
She was nice to look at, too.
The brunette was almost ashamed at how attracted she was to Dr Breen. Of course, the younger woman didn't even come close to Maura, but still Jane was amazed by the beautiful doctor.
Once they had talked about Jane and her issues, Maura and Dr Breen informed each other about the events of the last few years.
Amusement overtook Jane, as Maura seemed to be as attracted to the third woman as she was herself. The blonde's skin was flushed a little bit, as she vividly talked about her most interesting cases and findings.
The rosy flesh made Jane think...
Dr Breen was pretty young, there was almost no way she had been treating Maura as a doctor back all those years. Yet Maura had said it had been Dr Breen who helped her overcome her fears. Was it possible that there had been something more between the women?
A wave of jealousy rose within the detective. But before the wave could crash down, Jane stopped it in it's movement.
She had no reason to be jealous, had she?
IF there had been some sort of relationship between the two doctors, it had been over long before Jane got to know the ME. She had never heard the blonde talk about a relationship with another woman, and Maura was in no means shy to talk about her sex life.
The brunette concluded that she had indeed no reason to be jealous, instead she smiled and returned her thoughts to the conversation around her.

"She seemed to be really nice." Jane said while fastening her seatbelt. "She is." Maura answered.
Taken aback by the detective's following giggles the blonde turned towards the grinning woman. "What's so funny?" She asked confused.
Jane lowered her gaze while her dimples continued to show. "I think I discovered one of your secrets."
Now Maura was even more confused.
Turning to the doctor the brunette spoke "You're gay. Well, at least you're also attracted to women."
The wrinkles on Maura's forehead disappeared and the confusion visible all around her face changed into annoyance. "Are you serious?"
Jane just continued to smile like a child showing off it's christmas presents to friends.
"And I thought you would have discovered that secret when I kissed you." "Why doctor Isles, was that sarcasm?" Said doctor looked even more annoyed, if that was possible, yet she couldn't help to feel a little bit proud of her previous statement.
"Seriously Jane, what's going on?"
"You. Are. Hot. For. Dr. Breen."
The blonde's eyes flew open. "What? No!"
It only took a few seconds for the red rash to creep up her neck. "Maura, stop or you'll faint." Jane said a little bit less enthusiastic. "It's ok, I'm not mad or anything." The blonde still tried to regain control over her breath when she started the car.
"Could we talk about that later?" She got out before focussing completely onto the road.
Jane was positively surprised by her own missing jealousy. Under normal circumstances she would have gone crazy, but this was different. Instead of clenching her jaw she couldn't stop smiling. Instead of losing her mind she thought about ways to get Maura to talk – to get to know her a little bit better. Of course she had her doubts. Could she be sure that Maura wouldn't act on her attraction?
But the brunette wanted to trust the doctor, and the latest events made her take the risk of trusting.

Finally at Maura's, the blonde got out of the car and walked inside without spending one look at Jane. It was clear she was nervous, and trying to get away from the situation.
The detective smiled. Usually it would have been her running away, but in contrast to the blonde she would literally run. Maura would give in at some point, not being able to lie nor to say nothing without feeling bad.
She waited a few moments before entering the house. Just like she had expected, Maura was standing in the kitchen, lost in thoughts.
When she realized Jane was standing behind her, the blonde quickly turned around, signalling the detective to remain silent.
"Listen Jane" she began. "You have been so honest towards me, so I think you deserve to know the truth." She took a deep breath, seemingly not noticing the smile on Jane's face. "Yes, Theresa and I have been in a romantic relationship. Even though we had to realise that it didn't work out, I can't help but feel attracted to her. That doesn't mean that you aren't-" Jane interrupted her with a chuckle.
"It's ok, Maura." The doctor looked confused. "I don't mind." the brunette added. Maura still didn't seem to understand.
"I don't mind, because I'm attracted to her, too."
AN: before you freak out, this is a Rizzles story and it will always be one! This Dr Breen storyline is one more piece to fit into the puzzle at some Point.
