Raven looked over at her friend who was beaming down the walkway in her new pink dress. Honestly she seemed to fit right in and if she wanted-she could stand in front of those pile of pink roses and completely disappear for the day.

Raven caught many men of various ages staring at her teammate, and she always had to give them a look that stated, "You can look, but don't touch". Robin would kill her if she came home with some other guy hanging on her shoulder or perhaps even 'guys'. Raven sighed seeing a group of teenage boys whistle toward their direction and Raven directed Starfire toward the east side of the mall. Starfire giggled and replied, "They are calling to me Raven."

Raven sighed, "yeah and more than just that I expect."

But Starfire didn't hear her as she gazed in awe at the various shops aligned in the walkway. Raven looked around herself, seeing red, white and pink stain her vision before suddenly slamming into her friend who had halted in front of her.

"What is this place?"

Raven backed up, gaining her composure again, hood fallen off from the collision and looked up to see the sign, "Build a Buddy." She blinked and took a look inside; it was a cute little place and Raven could see many kids, adults and even teenagers bustling inside. There was a woman standing up in the front pulling what seemed to be a stuffed animal on a leash with roller blades on the paws.

"Hello there girls, how is your valentine's day? Are you looking for something special for that special someone?"

Raven was about to speak when Starfire got in front of her with an excited, "Oh yes, what do you have?"

The woman smiled and replied, "Oh lots of things-here is where you can make your own best friend; you can personalize them however you want. We have many different animals and even popular trends today such as How to Train Your Dragon and yours truly."

Starfire was about to reply when Raven interrupted, "Wait, did you say how to train your dragon?"

The woman nodded, "yes! We have the dragon toothless, but you have to hurry, he is going out very fast!"

Raven looked at Starfire and the woman continued, "You know, they have the cutest outfits that resemble Robin-am I correct in assuming that is who you are interested in?"

Starfire blushed and nodded, "Yes, you are correct." She looked at Raven who looked at Starfire and both decided without speaking to go in and check out the store.

Walking inside they saw the various buckets of the stuffed animals, not yet stuffed. Starfire gasped, "Raven they are dead!"

Raven watched various kids turn their way and even a little girl dropped her unstuffed dog and began to cry. She felt a wave of embarrassment and her comfort level plummeted as she raced to her friend who had picked up a 'skin' of a not yet to be stuffed animal. Raven grabbed it from her hands and replied quietly, "Starfire, its fine, look."

She pointed to the stuffing area where a little boy was getting a turtle stuffed and sewed shut. Starfire stared at the process and sniffed as Raven continued, "you bring it to life-see; they aren't dead ok? Stop scaring all the kids in here."

Raven put the unstuffed animal back in the basket and she watched as Starfire apologized to the little girl, knelling down to her height, "its ok they are not dead-see they are brought to life, that is what my friend told me."

The little girl held the unstuffed dog and looked up and nodded at Starfire's words. "I did not mean to frighten you."

"It's ok Starfire I still like you." She squeaked out and Raven watched them exchange a quick hug as the mother watched nearby.

That's when she noticed something in front of her, it was the basket meant for the dragon plush. Raven walked up and looked down to see one remaining Toothless. She smiled, feeling it was fate and a sure decision to go for it. She reached down to grab the unstuffed plush but another hand reached at the same time. Raven looked up to see a boy about 6 staring at her. He watched at her with wide hazel eyes and she almost had to let go; but instead she pulled and the little boy watched as she held the last remaining toothless plush. He looked in the bucket then back up at her and his eyes began to well. Raven stared at the lifeless form of toothless and sighed, handing over the unstuffed creature. The little boy stared at her and grabbed it. He looked up and held it for a moment before a voice came from behind him, "Hey Joey, look what I found?"

What seemed to be his mother had come up with an unstuffed Alligator, the little boy reached out and grabbed the green reptile and stared at it. Raven forced a smile and turned away, a little disappointed about the whole ordeal. She looked up to see Starfire looking into the buckets a bit farther down, a few little girls surrounded her, helping her pick out the perfect plush for Robin.

"You have to get the kitten!"

"No the panda is the cutest!"

Raven smirked seeing the kids supplying Starfire with their versions of the cutest animals, and that is when she felt her cape being tugged on. She turned around to see the hazel eyes of the little boy; he was holding out the last toothless plush for her and squeaked out, "Rwayven". Raven blinked and kneeled down to his level and gently took the plush from his tiny hands. He smiled and let off a laugh when she took it, "Thanks" she said and he jumped up and gave her a hug. Raven was caught off guard and it was done as fast as it happened. He turned around and raced back to his mother who had two other little boys nearby, picking out animals of their own.

Raven stood up and was nearly toppled over by Starfire who flew over, "Raven I found the perfect one, look… look!" Raven looked at the lifeless form of a brown dog. She smiled and nodded, "looks like the perfect one to me."

Starfire nodded, "I'm going to put a mask on it and everything, he's going to love it!" Starfire then noticed Raven was holding something of her own and she glanced at her friend in thought, "Have you found something for yourself?"

Raven looked down at the toothless plush as Starfire continued, "Isn't that the dragon from that one cartoon?"

Raven blinked, staring at the black colors of Toothless and she could practically hear the voice of one of her teammates shouting in the Titans Tower living room. Raven stepped inside, the night upon them and looked at the clock that read 11:30pm.

"Beast Boy what are you doing?"

Beast Boy turned around and she noticed the movie that was paused on the TV; a picture of a black dragon stared her in the face. She glanced at it, surprised of the film he was watching and even more surprised that he was practicing transformations in front of it. He let out a squeak seeing his teammate enter the room, "N-nothing!"

Raven glanced at him then toward the paused movie. "You like How to Train your Dragon?"

Beast Boy rubbed his arms sheepishly, "Yeah, it's sort of a favorite of mine. I thought you guys would laugh if you knew."

Raven looked at the screen again, staring at the slanted green eyes and stated, "The black dragon reminds me of a cat."

Beast Boy looked up and smiled, "Yeah they drew him from a cat, did you know that?"

Raven shook her head then continued, "Are you trying to transform into a dragon?"

Beast Boy laughed and rubbed the back of his head, "Maybe…"

"That would be pretty cool actually."

"Really?" Beast Boy blinked and smiled, "well then watch this!"

Raven paused watching him ball up and transform, perhaps just a tad slower but instead of growing, he shrunk. She blinked, watching him hit the floor, the size of an index card. Raven took a few steps forward and knelled down closer to his current height. She smirked seeing the distinct skin and color of a gecko.

"Wow. That. Is. Terrifying."

Beast Boy transformed back, shaking with the effort then playfully narrowed eyes, "Oh yeah I'd like to see you do better!"

"Yeah there's a problem with that…I can't morph." Raven replied, standing up back to her original height.

Beast Boy laughed, shaking his head, "you morphed me once, remember?"

Raven let her eyes slide to the floor remembering the day, she tried so hard to forget it. But it was coming to her knowledge that she may never forget the day she felt so alone. Raven shook off the feeling and replied, "That was a long time ago-dark magic to be specific. I don't use that and besides I was forcing your powers I wasn't actually transforming anyone."

Beast Boy blinked, leaping on the couch, leaning over the edge and glanced at her, "Oh, so like you could have made Starfire shoot bolts without her even wanting to?"

"Mmhm."

"Wow."

"What?" Raven watched him stare at her with intense green eyes and she almost felt uncomfortable for a moment with him looking at her like that.

"You're a lot stronger than I thought."

Raven blinked, feeling words escape her for a moment as she stood there watching him and him to her.

"Raven, hello? Earth to Raven? I asked if you were going to stuff your animal. It's our turn!"

Raven shook her head, the memory slipping from her mind and lifted up the unstuffed black dragon, the green eyes stared at her and the last of her memory faded away. She smiled and nodded, "Yeah."

"Well, then come on!" Raven looked up, feeling her arm being tugged on as she was pulled toward the stuffing area. A few of the little girls that surrounded Starfire still stood next to her teammate, one of them held onto her other hand that wasn't dragging Raven.

There were two ladies at the stuffing location, Starfire stopped at the second one and she could hear one of the little girls squeal, "this is for her true love so don't mess it up lady!"

Starfire laughed and shook her head, "please do not take offense; she does not mean it."

The little girl crossed her arms and Starfire smiled, "but yes, nice would be a good word to use; I want it to be as nice as possible!"

The lady nodded, amused with the little girls surrounding her like a posy, "Of course Starfire."

"Raven?"

Raven looked up to the young worker who sat on a chair, she held out her hand, "did you wish to make a toothless today?"

Raven nodded and the girl smiled, "is this for you?"

Raven paused and glanced over toward Starfire who had placed her foot on the petal to start stuffing her dog. She was about to say yes when the girl smiled, "I won't tell anyone."

Raven blinked and glanced at her as she whispered, "personally I think Beast Boy would like it a lot"

She felt a wave of surprise hit her and she almost shouted that it wasn't for him. But she couldn't get herself to say that. Actually she couldn't get herself to say anything for a moment. She swallowed, took a quiet breath, "how did you know?"

She laughed, "You kidding me? Everyone who knows you guys are hoping you two will actually get together one day. You guys are very adorable during battle."

Raven blinked, handing over the toothless, she wrote down Beast Boy's name and began to stuff the dragon with Raven placing her foot on the pedal. She replied, "What do you mean?"

The young lady smiled, turning the dragon so the stuffing filled in each of the paws, "you are so protective of each other and you don't even realize it."

Raven stared at her as she finished the stuffing, to her side she saw Starfire jump up and down as she grabbed a stuffed heart and placed it on her chest and twirled around. The little girls around her also did the same thing, the brunette with a ponytail collapsed with a giggle. The woman in front of Starfire smiled, "Now make a wish." Raven watched Starfire close her eyes real tight, "I wish…" The little girls all shouted at once, "no, no not out loud!" They all giggled as Starfire opened her eyes and laughed as well, "Oh, I did not know!"

The red haired girl giggled, "It won't come true if you say it out loud!" Starfire blinked in realization, "thank you! I had no idea." Starfire closed her eyes again, gave it a kiss then returned it to the lady who placed it in the dog, before sewing it shut.

"Your turn." The lady smirked slightly, Raven looked at her as she continued, "come now, it's only tradition, pick out a heart so I can put it inside and sew him shut."

Raven blinked, picking out the plaid and handed it to her; the woman shook her head, not taking it and Raven sighed, knowing what was coming.

"Rub it in your hands to warm it up." Raven stared at her and the woman only smiled, she sighed and rubbed her hands together feeling the heat warm her fingers.

"Now make a wish…" Raven blinked and sighed, trying her best not to feel embarrassed and hope that no one she knew saw her. Thinking of something small the woman smiled as Raven handed her the heart and it was sewn into the dragon.

"If it counts for anything, I think it's a really sweet gesture. Beats the normal chocolates and candy." The woman explained, handing her the stuffed plush. Raven reached out and grabbed him and nodded at her words before turning to find her teammate at the back of the store staring at the outfits with large eyes.

Raven shifted the plush to her left arm and held it to her chest as she walked forward hearing Starfire shout, "Oh, yes that is the one!"

She watched as the little girls around her grabbed the robin accessory and they along with Starfire dressed the white and brown dog-placing the mask on last. Raven tried not to laugh, but it was adorable looking. Knowing Robin, he would like anything Starfire gave him, so it mattered little. But this beat any odd cuisine she was planning to cook later tonight. Raven hoped she had forgotten that promise.

"Hey."

Raven looked down to see one of the little girls who was with Starfire. She held up a small accessory for her and Raven looked down to see a felt saddle. The blonde little girl shuffled her feet and continued, "You have to have the saddle for Toothless…"

Raven blinked and gently grabbed the accessory from her and shook her head, "Of course, how silly of me to forget." The little girl's eyes widened and she smiled then turned back to her posy, joining back up with Starfire shouting, "You're right she isn't mean at all!"

Raven's eyes widened as she felt the eyes of all the little girls on her and she turned away, feeling surprise prick at her. Glancing at the saddle she strapped it on and gazed at the dragon for a moment before she felt her teammate brush by her, "Raven, come on we have to name it!"

Raven blinked and watched Starfire sit down, she patted on the seat next to her and Raven sat. A few of the girls followed them as well but the mothers all called to them outside the store, a couple gave Starfire a parting hug before shouting their goodbyes. Starfire waved and turned to Raven, "Were they not the cutest things?"

Raven smirked, "That's one way to put it." Starfire smiled and replied after typing up some information, "they liked you too, you know."

Raven blinked after writing a few things in she looked over toward Starfire, but didn't say anything. The final page loaded, asking for who it was for. She sighed, looking to her right she watched Starfire name the plush and push print. She giggled and stood up, "I'll meet you up front!"

Raven nodded and watched the flickering line, waiting for her to type…

When she was done, Raven stood and walked up front. As she waited she noticed the other various plushes people had made and a particular unicorn caught her eye. Glancing at the purple plush in a girls arm at the entrance she noticed it to be from the My Little Pony series. She stared at it for a minute, then looked over at the shelf to see the other ponies as well. She smirked and shrugged as she made her way to the front of the cash register and paid for Toothless with Starfire beaming beside her with her own homemade gift. Soon the two girls were out of the store and onto the next shop, Raven wondering all the while what had gotten into her. All these flowers, cards and candy were finally driving her to the edge.
