Krystina's heart sang as their lips met. She felt a warm feeling wash through her as she felt that everything was going to be ok. The heart rate monitor beeping started to speed up as the make out session was escalating. Bradshaw broke the kiss off, to get some air. She opened her good eye and looked up at him smiling. Her smile turned to a frown as her eye stung her,

"I must look like a freak right now…" Bradshaw shook his head,

"No you don't, you took that beating like a champ. Not even the toughest guys could handle Lesnar for as long as you did. You should be proud," He put a finger under her chin and lifted her chin up so that he could take a look at her, "On that note, don't you ever do that to me again. Do you know what I felt when I saw you laying on the ground with Farooq shaking you like that? I thought you were seriously hurt or worse…" He felt his throat tighten at that moment with the thought of not having her around crossed his mind, "I think you took ten or twenty years off of my life span right then. Promise me you won't do anything stupid like that again." She shrugged,

"John, you guys needed my help. What was I supposed to do? Stand backstage wringing my hands and cry like the pretty faced Divas do? No, I'm just like Lita and Trish, I'm going to go in there and kick ass!" She sighed as she saw him grow a little irritated with her stubbornness. They knew that neither side was going to back down. She gently grabbed his hand and looked down at it still too shy to look him in the eyes and share her feelings with him, "I didn't want to see you get hurt because of my stupid mistake of getting in Lesnar's face. I could never forgive myself if he hurt you. He knew that hurting you would be the perfect way to get back at me because of how important you are to me." She felt his eyes on the top of her head. He grabbed both her hands and spoke in a soft voice,

"Krystina, look at me." She obeyed and looked up into Bradshaw's brown eyes,

"Nothing is going to happen to me or you. We're going to be ok. I promise." She nodded as a small smile crept onto her face,

"If you say so Boss." She playfully called him by his nickname. He chuckled and then put on a mock serious face,

"That's right, I'm the Boss!" She couldn't help but laugh as she smacked him on the arm. There was a knock on the door as the two of them looked up and saw Farooq standing there with yellow roses,

"What did I tell you all those years back Bradshaw? That girl is tougher than nails! Baby girl! How are you feeling?" She smiled as Farooq handed her the roses. She thanked him,

"These are beautiful darling, thank you. I'm ok. How are you feeling?" She looked at him with worry. Farooq was a veteran in the business, but he was also older than Bradshaw. She knew that once wrestlers got older, that it was harder for them to recover and much easier for them to be injured on the job. He hugged her,

"Damn, girl you know me. I'm always ready to bounce back!" He smiled, but on the inside he felt a knot in his stomach. He felt guilty for not being able to protect her. He felt like he had failed not only her but his best friend as well.

Bradshaw, Farooq and Krystina were warming up for a match when an official came knocking on the door. "Show time you guys!" He disappeared from view as Krystina jumped up excitedly and tried to hype the guys up,

"Come on you guys, let's go kick some ass!" Bradshaw chuckled,

"All right darlin'. Why don't you go on ahead of us?" She nodded and ran out the door. Bradshaw turned to his friend,

"These guys we're facing are tough, but nothing we can't handle. Whatever happens, win or lose make sure you protect Tina." Farooq chuckled,

"I don't know Bradshaw, I think we'll need to protect them from her!" He laughed but it died when he realized that his friend wasn't laughing with him, "Damn man, what's gotten into you lately? You're all serious and shit." He followed his line of sight out the door where their female counterpart had left. He looked over at his friend in disbelief. He knew his friend was playing with fire,

"Bradshaw! What the hell man! She's at more than ten years your junior! And what the hell is Chris going to say? Bradshaw shook his head,

"She's twenty one and a full grown adult. I can't explain it man, I just have these feelings whenever I'm around her. I'd hate for anything to happen to her. So promise me, if I can't be there, protect her ok?" Farooq sighed as the two of them walked through the door way,

"Ok. Let's go kick ass."

"Hey, are you ok?" Farooq snapped back to reality seeing both Bradshaw and Krystina staring up at him in concern. She put a hand on his arm,

"Hey, I'm ok. The three of us are ok. These wounds on my face will heal. Granted I won't be the prettiest diva there, but I'll live." She smirked which caused Farooq to smile. The rest of the morning Krystina received visitors to her room and those that couldn't be there sent her flowers and well wishes. Once the parade of people visiting was over, There was a knock on the door as the doctor announced her arrival,

"Miss Benoit? " Krystina nodded, slightly nervous about the doctor coming in and delivering bad news. The doctor smiled, "You're a lucky woman, all your tests came back negative. You may have some soreness for a couple of days to a week. If you'd like I can prescribe you some pain medication?" Krystina let out a sigh of relief,

"You can only if it's something like Ibuprofen or acetaminophen. I don't take anything stronger. When can I return to work?" the doctor chuckled as she wrote out a prescription for the pain medication,

"Well, you're spending the night tonight for observation, and I'd give it at least a week or two." The young diva nodded as she tried to hide her disappointment. The doctor smiled sympathetically,

"If you get too restless in bed then you can go ahead and walk around the hospital with supervision. Will you have someone staying with you?" Bradshaw nodded,

"I will. I won't let her out of my sight." Krystina chuckled and rolled her eyes playfully. The doctor seemed to pick up on the relationship between Krystina and Bradshaw as she added on,

"Miss Benoit also I would advise against any strenuous physical activity for the next one or two weeks. Once your organization's doctor clears you, you can resume normal activities." A slight pink color came across Krystina's cheeks as she avoided Bradshaw's eyes. She could only nod. The doctor excused herself as everyone thanked her for coming. Once the doctor left the room Krystina grunted in frustration at having to stay at the hospital. Farooq chuckled,

"Could be worse baby girl, at least you've got a clean bill of health." Krystina sighed as she looked out the window,

"I guess."
